Chapter 4: "Late Morning Blues"
Hayate power-walked to the stable where Hyuuga was feeding the Gingamen's horses with carrots and Ryouma was cleaning the main hallway. The brothers were solely focused on their tasks when Hayate bellowed out their names in reasonable fury. They stopped to turn to his direction, coming from outside.
"What is it, Hayate?" Ryouma asked in mere curiosity.
Hayate sighed in a bit of frustration, "Guys, a word?" Ryouma and Hyuuga put down their materials and huddled with Hayate in a corner opposite of where he walked in.
Before either of the brothers could say anything, Hayate started, "Fellas, you're not gonna believe this. But, two of our own have been fooling around when our backs were turned."
Ryouma and Hyuuga's eyes widened when Ryouma asked, "You don't mean...Saya? With who?"
Hayate snarled, "Take a wild guess, Lion!"
"Gouki?" Hyuuga asked and was met with fiery eyes from Hayate and Ryouma.
Hayate chuckled as he crossed his arms, still frustrated before stating, "Nice try, Bull Black! But, you'd know darn well that his mind is so preoccupied with thoughts about Yuuta's homeroom teacher. Now, try again!"
"Oh, my God!" Ryouma exclaimed softly. He paused before taking a more educated guess this time around, "Hikaru?"
Hayate snapped his fingers from one hand, pointed to both off them, and exclaimed in half-hearted excitement, "Hmph! Pin-Pon!"
Ryouma and Hyuuga's eyes stayed widened as their eyebrows jumped from their eyes and their jaws dropped. They turned to each other slowly, then back to Hayate. Both of them had been fully aware throughout the years about the closeness between Ginga Yellow and Ginga Pink, especially when the latter two were childhood sweethearts. But, not this close!
Hyuuga collected himself before eagerly asking, "You mean they were...?" He gestured funnily with one hand forming a horizontal opening akin to a woman's vagina (in a three or "A-Okay" motion with the middle, ring, and pinkie fingers up) and inserted an index finger into the opening with the other hand. He repeated the motion a few times before Hayate looked down on the ground and nodded, his arms akimbo on his sides.
After seconds of collecting his thoughts, Hayate finally told the brothers the truth, "Yep. Hikaru and Saya just confessed to me minutes ago. They were at Mizuoka Lake last night. Well, Hikaru was there by himself alone, unaware that Saya was trailing him when he took a dip and washed himself there. It was one of those 'Once in a Blue Moon' things for him. Saya then revealed herself to him...literally. And, well, I'll leave the rest up to your imaginations."
As soon as those words spilled out of Hayate's mouth, images of Hikaru and Saya getting it on like wild rabbits in different positions (akin to those drawn in the book Kama Sutra) amid the passionate smooches, moaning, and sexual screaming crossed Ryouma and Hyuuga's minds. Inside their heads, they heard themselves scream like banshees and felt as if both of them just turned into human-sized stone statues and cracked.
Ryouma then tensed himself as he clenched his fists by his side. He was steaming with anger as he snarled, "Aaaaah, that little punk! No, scratch that. Not just Hikaru. Saya's become something of a punk, too! Those little punks!"
Hyuuga, the more sensible of the two, got in front of Ryouma and placed his hands over his brother's shoulders. He then formed a somewhat apologetic smile across his face, "Wait, Little Brother. Simmer down here, will you? Can't you see they're in love? I think this is a beautiful thing."
"No, it isn't, Hyuuga! Now, lemme at 'em!"
"Ryouma, don't!" Hyuuga quickly restrained Ryouma from behind as the latter was about to storm out and beat the bejesus out of Ginga Yellow and Ginga Pink. Hayate got in front of him and pushed him back.
"Wait, wait, wait! I was gonna say something further!" Hayate cried out as he steadfastly shoved Ryouma back, waiting for him to calm down. When Ryouma gradually did, he asked (in a still annoyed manner), "What?!"
"Fellas, Saya was on the pill. She told me so."
The brothers breathed a gigantic sigh of relief as they let themselves fall on their knees to the ground. They then placed their hands over their chests.
The three men let themselves go silent for a few minutes, trying to make sense of what had transpired between Hikaru and Saya the evening prior.
After that, Hyuuga broke the silence as he held open his hands to his side, palms up, and quipped, "Welp, so much for babies ever after for those two!"
Hayate and Ryouma burst out laughing, having quelled their furies within them. Hayate then countered as he pointed to Hyuuga, "Well, we'll see!"
"Nonetheless, they do look good, and I mean real good together, don't they?" Ryouma asked.
Hayate and Hyuuga both nodded. All three men then slowly walked out the stable back into the vicinity of the ranch house.
