Please note that the following set of chapters falls between the events of The Three Ash's crossover and the Sinnoh to Ashes and Ashs to Hissui crossover. This won't be a play by play of every event as the next story will be taking place in Johto, so just like the prior three chapters, these will be going over the major events that happened to Seer Ash between his known adventures. This will be covering up to shortly after Seer Ash's victory against Whitney where he was then whisked away for the crossover events. Without further ado, back to a story that ended a while ago and is now starting again!

"So you are honestly telling me that those two people that came here were alternate versions of you?" Cassie asked.

"Yes, I'm being honest. They were alternate versions of me from other worlds that needed my help fighting some big threat." Ash said, rustling around in his bag.

"What are you looking for right now?" Cassie asked.

"Mewtwo's Pokeball, he was captured by the big threat and I had to recapture him." Ash said, pulling out the Pokeball. "So I want to release him now that he's back in this world. Just like I kept my promise to him before."

"Right." Cassie said, floating around the Pokeball. "So what are you waiting for?"

"It's not working." Ash said, shaking the ball. "Watch, here's Dragonair's Pokeball." Ash pressed the button on the ball, sending out the pink serpentine dragon. "Now here is Mewtwo's Pokeball." Ash said, pressing the same button, but nothing happened.

"With how much technology you have broken you should really call Professor Oak and see if he has an idea about how to fix them." Cassie said impatiently.

"It's two things, not that big of a deal." Ash said.

"Yes, just your Pokedex and a Pokeball containing the clone of the legendary Pokemon Mew." Cassie reminded.

"Fair point, let's get going." Ash said, heading back away from the mountains and towards Cherrygrove City.

A bit later

"Ahh Ash, what a surprise to hear from you again already, do you need Dewgong or Jigglypuff again already?" Professor Oak asked over the video phone.

"No, I'm fine, mostly." Ash said. "I was hoping you might know of someone other than going back to Professor Elm to get my Pokedex looked at."

"A new Pokemon encounter, did you discover something the Pokedex didn't recognize!" Professor Oak said excitedly.

"I got attacked by an Ursaring, and it's not working right anymore." Ash admitted.

"An Ursaring, are you sure you're alright?" Professor Oak asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine, just trying to get it fixed." Ash said.

"Hmm, well there is Mr. Pokemon, he's an old friend of mine and he lives to the north of Cherrygrove City, I'll call ahead and let him know, but it not you might have to go back to Professor Elm's lab to get it looked at." Professor Oak said. "Is there anything else on your mind?"

"I err, well a friend of mine has a Pokeball that isn't working right, do you know of anyone who might be able to fix it?" Ash asked.

"I have an acquaintance in Azalea Town, his name is Kurt and is one of the few practitioners of making Pokeballs the same way they were originally made, I'd have your friend head out that way and see if Kurt can help them." Professor Oak said. "Ash it looks like you've had a long day, how about you get some rest at the Pokemon Center, and I'll tell Mr. Pokemon to expect you sometime tomorrow."

"Sounds great Professor, I think I'll do just that." Ash said, still thinking of his fight against the Dark One and meeting the others. "Bye for now."

"Well at least we have a lead, but he's right you look exhausted." Cassie pointed out.

"Some of us don't have the luxury of not needing sleep." Ash pointed out with a chuckle. "Plus, saving multiple realities is tiring work, I bet the Johto league will be a breeze now."

The Next Day at Mr. Pokémon's House

"So you're an old friend of Professor Oak?" Ash asked.

"Yes, is that so hard to believe?" Mr. Pokemon asked.

"Not really, I just was double checking. I know the Professor used to have a lot of journeys when he was younger." Ash said. "So do you think you can fix my Pokedex?"

"Well there is a fair bit of internal damage, but nothing that can't be fixed with a bit of tinkering." Mr. Pokemon said. "There isn't much I can do about the damage to the casing however."

"That won't cause any issues will it?" Ash asked.

"Not if you don't have any problems with that." Mr. Pokemon said.

"Woah Ash, you have to see this, this guy has a lot of awards and commendations." Cassie said

Ash gave his sister a side eye, knowing she knew he couldn't just respond to her right now without looking insane.

"So how did you and Professor Oak first meet?" Ash asked, trying to learn something.

"Samuel and I go way back, we knew each other probably when we were around your age. He was traveling the world trying to work on his modern take of the Pokemon Encyclopedia, and we crossed paths a few times while he went through Johto." Mr. Pokemon said.

"So what were you doing at that time?" Ash asked curiously.

"I'm not called Mr. Pokemon because it's my name. Samuel and I got along because I had many contacts with a large amount of information on various Pokemon species." Mr Pokemon said. "If you have any questions about a Pokemon I know it or have someone who would."

"What about a Pokemon called Darkrai?" Ash asked curiously.

"Where'd you hear that name?" Mr. Pokemon asked, as he put the Pokedex back together.

"A friend told me about it." Ash said.

"Darkrai is a myth, a legend, but every legend has some truth to it. It's said it can enter people's dreams and put them in a permanent nightmare." Mr. Pokemon said coldly. "Anyone who thinks they can take on something like that is a fool."

"Yeah, I guess it would be foolish to take that on alone." Ash laughed nervously.

"Again, it's just a myth from what I understand, anyways here's your Pokedex, good as it's going to get." Mr. Pokemon said.

"Thanks, this means a lot." Ash said with a smile.

"Violet City is just about a day's travel north east, that should be your next stop." Mr. Pokemon added.

"Oh thank you for that information." Ash said as he was getting his bag ready to leave.

"And Ash." Mr. Pokemon said.

"Yes?" Ash asked.

"If you did take on a Darkrai, I hope that it can't track you, something that powerful is certain to hold a grudge and outlive any one of us." Mr. Pokemon said.

Post Chapter Author Notes

Sorry, this was meant to go up last week but it's been a crazy busy week for me, and I just never had time to proofread. And yeah, a lot of this chapter seems weird, but the last time we caught up with this world's Ash was over a year ago unless you read the other chapters, so giving a bit of this is what just happened is helpful in that regard to know just when this took place.
