10... 9... 8... 7... 6... 5... 4... 3... 2... 1... Countdown is over, so let's get this chapter on the go!

Meanwhile at the courtyard outside the Corona House, we see Hidenori Tabata, Yoshitake Tanaka, Hatano Mitsuo, Kuroshima Motoharu, Toshiyuki Karasawa, Akira Ishida, Hiroki Yasumoto, Megane Kurokami and Chapatsu Haisha having a conversation while Hidenori stares at his phone with an annoyed duck-face expression.

"Yo, Hidenori, what's wrong?" Yoshitake asked casually.

Hidenori nearly shoved his phone onto Yoshitake's face, "THREE GIRLS WERE JUST ADDED ON TADAKUNI'S FRIENDS LIST!" the bespectacled boy exclaimed in disbelief.

"WHAAAAAAAATTTT?!" Yoshitake shouted in disbelief with Mitsuo, Megane and Chapatsu joining in the shock.

"It's true!" Mitsuo confirmed.

"W-What's with that?!" Megane stuttered.

"Is he really human?" Chapatsu uttered.

"Does it really makes you less human for having a female friend?" Motoharu questioned in disbelief.

Hidenori clenched his fist, "Damn that Tadakuni!" he cursed, "No wonder he isn't with us right now!" he concluded, "He's busy making friends with girls while were not looking!" he accused.

"Cool it you, shitheads." Motoharu beckoned, "Gettin' jealous over Tadakuni getting some female friends won't do you any good." he reasoned.

"Knowing Tadakuni..." Toshiyuki trailed, "... he probably aided them with something and became friends on the process." he assumed.

"I know that!" Hidenori claimed, "But it's just darn frustrating that Tadakuni already gained three more female friends while the rest if us only had two and one of them just added us out of pity!" he exclaimed in annoyance.

"Judging by the way you say it, I guess you must be desperate for female friends." Akira assumed.

"Well..." Motoharu uttered, "... Hidenori can be desperate at times when comes to girls." he commented, "Desperate enough to think that girls are attracted to men and noodles because on his own words..." he trailed, "... they're both hot." he stated.

"Shut up!" Hidenori squawked in embarrassment.

As the boys squabbled over something stupid, Azusa Nakano, Mio Akiyama, Ritsu Tainaka, Tsumugi Kotobuki and Yui Hirasawa ran past them, surprising them in response.

"Girls, hurry up, hurry up!" Yui cheerfully egged.

"The live house is empty at the moment!" Ritsu pointed out, "If we get there now, we'll be at the front row!" she exclaimed with a grin.

"Yui-senpai, Ritsu-senpai, please slow down!" Azusa beckoned.

"The live performance won't even start for next two hours!" Mio reminded.

Tsumugi chuckled, "Maa, maa~, I'm so excited!" she cheered in anticipation.

As the girls ran off towards their intended destination, the boys watches them in keen interest.

"They seem to be in a hurry." Hiroki commented.

"Where do you think those girls are going?" Mitsuo questioned.

"I believe that they're heading towards some sort of live house located in this area." Toshiyuki answered.

"How do you know of that?" Yoshitake asked.

Toshiyuki brought out his phone, "I've been checking the school's official page on the Coolstargram and it seems that they often posts announcements of events that goes around this school." he explained, "And from the looks of it, a few bands will be performing in a nearby stadium." he pointed out.

"Sounds interesting." Akira immersed, "Should we check it out?" he asked.

Hiroki nodded, "It's better than standing here and listening to Hidenori complaining about Tadakuni getting some female friends." he replied.

"Wow, shut up!" Hidenori exclaimed in demand.

Meanwhile...

"Look at me run!"

Edwin "Ed" Horace Hall shouted cheerfully while running around the streets without a care in the world, passing-by numerous people on the way and almost bumped onto them if they hadn't stepped aside.

"Hey!" Ran Kotobuki admonished.

"What the?!" Youhei Sunohara squawked.

"Watch where you're goin, ya fool! " a young man named Di Lung shouted with a fist waving in the air.

Ed continues to run around while giggling non-stop and coming to a corner, Yui Yuigahama is seen leading a group of girls consisting of Aru Honshou, Bocchi Hitori, Nako Sunao and Sotoka Rakita, and upon turning to the corner, Ed ran past them and nearly ran over Aru but she managed to jump out of the way.

"Hey!" Aru yelled, "Watch where you going?!" she admonished.

"Aru-chan, are you okay?" Bocchi asked in concern.

"I'm alright." Aru reassured, "But what's up with that guy?" she questioned.

"Sorry about Big Ed." Yui apologized in the big lug's behalf, "He is new here and from the short time I've get to know him so far, he is a very fun-loving individual." she shared.

"Isn't he having TOO much fun?" Aru questioned in disbelief.

"But nearly getting ran over by a big oaf?" Nako uttered out loud, "You sure are unfortunate." she commented.

Aru, suddenly, launches herself towards Nako and hits her back with a headbutt, "DON'T CALL ME, UNFORTUNATE!" the brunette demanded in annoyance.

Nako brushed off the headbutt before turning her attention towards the running Ed, "But sure that big guy runs fast." the blonde commented.

"Yeah!" Sotoka said in agreement, "He must be a ninja!" she exclaimed.

Nako facefaulted, "What kind of ninja that runs around like that?" she questioned indecorously.

"Modern ninja perhaps?" Sotoka assumed.

"Now that doesn't make sense." Nako replied.

"There are a lot of ninjas in this city, Sotoka-chan." Yui shared, "You'll probably meet some of them later." she said to which delighted the ninja-obsessed blonde, "Alongside ninjas, you'll get to meet a lot of persons in this city with unique traits and quirks." the orange-head furthered, "And while Big Ed is still new here, he is still an example of that." she pointed out.

Bocchi gulped, "I wonder if I can make new friends here..." she uttered nervously.

"Don't worry." Yui reassured, "While there are some people here that you shouldn't interact with, you'll still find a lot of people that you can befriend with." she stated with a smile.

Bocchi smiled back, "Um!" she chirped in agreement.

"Just try and not to faint once you made a new friend, Bocchi." Nako advised with a grin.

"Faint?" Yui uttered in confusion.

Aru facefaulted, "It's a long story." she replied.

Back with Ed, the big lug continues to run around the sidewalks and unbeknownst to him, Dan Mandel and Chris Pearson are seen ahead of him, standing in the middle of the path while having a conversation.

"So, are you and Pinkie a thing now?" Chris asked.

Dan sighed, "No, not yet." he replied. "Why did you ask?" he questioned.

"Well..." Chris uttered, "... I was hoping that if you and Pinkie are now a thing, I'll be inviting the two of you in a double date with me and Elise." he explained.

"I still wonder why you're married to that woman." Dan said out loud.

Chris then took notice of Ed running towards them in full-speed and the taller male realized that the big lug is about to run onto them.

"Dan watch out!" Chris shouted and quickly pushed his friend out of the way.

But Dan quickly recovered and immediately pushed Chris to the pavement, "What was that for?!" the jerk demanded, "Why the fuck did you pushed me?!" he added.

And before Chris could respond, Ed ran past them like a motorcycle, trampling Dan over on the process, leaving the short man lying down on the ground with a dazed expression and shoe prints all over his body.

"Dan, are you okay?" Chris asked in concern.

Dan shook his head, "What the fuck happened?!" he demanded in anger while holding his head.

"You got ran over by Ed." Chris answered, "I pushed you out of the way so you won't get run over but you stood back in the line of fire." he explained.

Dan then stood up from the ground, shaking rather violently with his face turning red, he then quickly raised his fists into the air, "EEEEEEEDDDDDD!" he roared loudly which echoed across the area.

"If you plan on taking revenge on Ed, I suggest that you forget it." Chris advised, "I don't think your cousin, Eddy, will like it if you lay a hand on one of his friends." he explained, "And with the newly-founded powers he had..." he pointed out, "... who knows what he could do to you." he concluded.

Dan thought about it before calming down, "You're right." he conceded, "I guess it's not worth it." he concluded.

"So, about the double date?" Chris reminded.

"Are we seriously going back with this conversation?" Dan questioned in disbelief.

Back with Ed, the big lug continues to run around the sidewalks when he came across a candy store called Atelier Sweets, catching the sight of various candies displayed behind the large windows, Ed quickly skidded to a stop but unfortunately found himself bumping onto a trashbin and fell in head first.

Addison Wells, Koyume Koizuka and Kyouko Yamate walked past-by the trashbin and took notice of Ed's legs sticking out from it, and despite sporting bewildered expressions, the girls decided to ignore it and kept on walking.

After a few minutes, Ed pulled himself out of the trashbin, taking off a banana peel of his head. The big lump quickly dusted himself and pulled out a bottle called 'Eddy's Cologne' from his coat and quickly sprayed himself with it.

"Gonna thank Double D and Eddy for helping me improve my hygiene over the years." Ed stated with a smile.

Putting away the cologne, Ed took his attention back to the candy store and found himself marvelling at the place.

"Yum!" Ed chirped in excitement before pulling out a blue-collored Ridge Wallet filled with dollars, he then smiled brightly because for the first time in his life, the big lug had a fat stack of cash to burn, "Better keep this a secret from Eddy." he uttered to himself.

Ed then proceeds to enter the candy shop and upon doing so, the big lump noticed that the interior is mostly consisted the color pink. The walls, the floor and even the counter had the same color scheme and while some candies had variety of color, most of them are colored pink.

"Woah..." Ed uttered in awe.

Then a young man named Pastille and a young woman named Gumdrop walked towards him.

"Welcome to Atelier Sweets!" Gumdrop greeted with a big smile, "How may we help you?" she offered.

"Do you guys had big candies?" Ed asked.

"Specifically what kind of big candy?" Pastille inquired.

"Oh, I know!" Gumdrop chimed in, "I think he is preferring to me!" she pointed out.

Ed raised an eyebrow, "What?" he muttered in surprise.

"Believe it or not, I'm a candy golem." Gumdrop revealed, "So I'm basically a candy!" she declared, "And if you're looking for a big candy then I'm yours to eat!" she stated.

Pastille facepalmed, "Gumdrop..." he uttered, "... need to remind you that you were not made to be eaten." he reminded.

"But our dear customer is looking for a big candy!" Gumdrop reasoned, "And I'm pretty sure that I fit the bill!" she insisted, "So, if you want to eat a big candy then please eat me!" she beckoned.

"Ed ain't a cannibal." Ed replied.

"Good response." a voice answered.

Ed, Gumdrop and Pastille then turns to a young woman named Syrup walking out from a door behind the counter, she had a lollipop in her mouth while looking at everyone with a rather unnamused expression.

"Oh, hello, Syrup." Pastille greeted, "Sorry for the disturbance." he apologized.

"No need to apologize." Syrup reassured, "I thought there was a commotion but I was wrong." she admitted before turning to Gumdrop, "And Gumdrop..." the candy alchemist trailed, "... please stop offering yourself to the customers." she admonished, "People often takes it the wrong way." she pointed out.

"Alright!" Gumdrop cheered in response.

"So, what is the big guy looking for?" Syrup asked.

"He was looking for big candies." Pastille answered, "But we had no idea what specific big candy he is talking about." he stated.

Syrup then turns to Ed, "Does this big candy even had a name?" she inquired.

Ed thought about it and after a few minutes, he remembered the candy he is looking for, "Jawbreaker!" he answered with his arms raised up high.

"Jawbreakers?" Pastille repeated, "We had some in stock but it's mostly palm-sized." he shared.

Ed shook his head, "No, I'm talking about really big jawbreakers." he said before gesturing two hands at Gumdrop's head, "Big as her head." he examplified.

"Gumdrop's head had been used as an example." Pastille uttered in surprise.

Syrup thought about it, "I think we had that kind of jawbreakers." she said out loud before walking behind the counter, she then opened the lower cabinets and brought out two pink-colored basketball sized jawbreakers wrapped in a plastic, "Is this what you're looking for?" she presented.

"Awesome!" Ed cheered in delight, "I'll take it!" he declared.

"But aren't those jawbreakers TOO big?" Pastille questioned, "I don't think those things can fit in someone's mouth." he pointed out, "And where did you even get that?" he added.

"It was shipped alongside the small jawbreakers." Syrup answered, "But whatever..." she trailed, "... I'm getting money out of this, so I'm not complaining." she stated.

Afterwards, Ed paid two bucks for a pair of jawbreakers, he then proceeds to unwrapped one of them and began to look at it in utter amazement and excitement.

"Yum!" Ed chirped.

"Are you planning to eat now?" Gumdrop asked.

Ed nodded, "Yup!" he replied before shoving the jawbreaker whole into his mouth with left cheek inflating in the same size as the large candy, "Gravy." he uttered out loud.

"He actually shoved it into his mouth without problems." Pastille uttered in disbelief.

"His left cheek looks like a balloon!" Gumdrop commented in awe.

"Do you know other people who eat these kind of jawbreakers?" Syrup inquired.

"My friends." Ed answered.

Syrup grinned, "I may as well create my own versions of these jawbreakers." she thought out loud with Pastille sighing in response while Gumdrop chuckled in amusement.

Hitori Bocchi's ○○ Lifestyle

Aru Honshou - Aru is a teenage girl with an average height, she had a fair complexion and she had a slender frame, she had a long brown hair tied up into a high ponytail by a red scrunchie-like hair tie, she had bangs and two thin strands of hair framing her face, and she had green-colored eyes. She wears a dark-blue long-sleeved buttoned cardigan over a white-collared shirt with red accents and a red bowtie, she wears a gray miniskirt, black stockings and brown loafers.

Bocchi Hitori - Bocchi is a teenage girl with a short stature, she had a petite appearance and a fair complexion, she had a waist-length dark brown hair with slightly side-swept bangs and wears a pink cherry blossom hairpin on the left of her face which forms a small ponytail on the left side of her head, and she had pink-colored eyes. She wears a dark-blue blazer jacket over a white-collared shirt with red accents and a red bowtie, she wears a medium-length skirt, black socks and brown loafers.

Nako Sunao - Nako is a teeange girl with a slightly tall stature, she had a slender frame and a fair complexion, she had short orange-blonde hair and she had amber-colored eyes. She wears a yellow long-sleeved sweatshirt over a white-collared shirt with red accents and a red bowtie, she wears a miniskirt, black socks and brown loafers.

Sotoka Rakita - Sotoka is a teeange girl with a slightly tall stature, she had a buxom frame and a fair complexion, she had a knee-length blonde hair with the higher half of her hair twisted into a peculiar side looped bun while pinned by silver beaded pins and left the rest of her hair down, she wears her bangs to the left with two dark green hairclips and she had blue-colored eyes. She wears a dark-blue blazer jacket over a white-collared shirt with red accents and a red bowtie, she wears a gray miniskirt, white loose socks and brown loafers.

Syrup and the Ultimate Sweet

Gumdrop - Gumdrop is a female golem made of candy, she had an average height and a pink complexion, she had a long curly bubblegum-pink hair with a pair of peppermint-shaped hairclips on both sides of her head, and she had pink-colored eyes. She wears a white apron over a white long-sleeved collared uniform with a pink candy-shaped bowtie, she wears a black skirt and black shoes.

Pastille - Pastille is a young man with an adrogynous appearance, he had a slender frame and a fair complexion, he had a short messy pink hair and he had yellow-colored eyes. He wears a white apron over a white long-sleeved collared uniform with a pink candy-shaped bowtie, he wears a black pants and pink shoes. He wears a white headdress on top of his head.

Syrup - Syrup is a young woman with a tall stature, she had a brown complexion and a slender frame, she had a lime-green hair with the left side shaved and the right side sporting a messy bangs and a low ponytail, and she had blue-colored eyes. She wears a white long labcoat over a gray v-neck shirt and black belt wrapped around her waist, she wears a black pants and black shoes. She wears a blue visor shades on top of her head.
