Chapter 3: Watch your back!

"Two more down!" Sabine exclaimed from the gunnery of their T6-shuttle (Ahsoka s1 ep3, 19:45).

But there were still three attackers left and they got hit once more. Huyang and Ahsoka sat in the cockpit, as the latter tried to escape them and position the ship into an optimal shooting position for the Mandalorian woman.

"Our deflector shield is down to twenty-seven percent", Huyang stated hollowly.

The Togruta woman neared the other side of the planet named Seatos in the Danaab system to where the coordinates of the transmitter led to the stolen hyperdrive core – and hopefully to the stolen map of sphere, to Ezra and to Grand Admiral Thrawn.

Then their view cleared. A gigantic ring could be seen before the planet in space, in which easily a whole spaceship could fit into. Suddenly, the three remaining opponent pilots turned off.

"What?" Sabine stated from behind, referring to the change.

"What is this thing?" Ahsoka said in the cockpit at the same time.

"I could make an educated guess" Huyang answered, "but I'll start a scan to support my assumption of a hyperspace riiiii ..."

All of a sudden, the energy of canon shots attacked them from that mentioned ring and Ahsoka only managed to half-evade.

"We're hit again!" Sabine exclaimed.

"We won't make it much longer", Huyan's mechanical voice vibrated. "Scan transmissions are interrupted."

"Almost there", Ahsoka said.

Moments later they entered the atmosphere of Seatos and their radar screen signaled approaching objects. The T6-shuttle continued to race through the clouds, as something like a big dark shadow appeared beside the window of the cockpit.

Despite their peril of speed, Ahsoka looked at the shadow and smiled. Then more shadows followed and gathered as a herd around their ship.

"Purrgils", the older woman said, holding onto the steering wheel.

"I wonder if they may know about Ezra's whereabouts", Sabine responded from the other end of the ship.

Still concentrating to focus on maneuvering, Ahsoka answered: "If so, there's no time and peace to ask them, we're gonna approach the surface within seconds."

Sabine looked out of her small dome to the space animals, sighed and prepared herself for a rougher kind of landing.
