10. Important Update

Hello readers,

As you may have read the title above, I have an important update to you all today regarding Far Away From Home. Recently I have been thinking and I did not make this decision lightly but I have made an important decision. I am going to completely rewrite the story from scratch albeit while maintaining key elements such as Terracite and Audrey's crest. Like what I said, I did not make this decision lightly and I have many good reasons for doing what I am doing.

For one, I want to improve the quality of my writing. Looking back through some of my chapters I realized that some of the scene either felt unfinished, rushed, or even just straight up put in without much effort or detail. I also realized that I could definitely improve the dialogue in some places and that some moments seemed a little unrealistic to me. Most notably the scene with Seteth pulling Audrey's unconscious form out of her car as looking back on it now, that was just ridiculous in my opinion. In this upcoming rewrite I hope to improve the dialogue and so many more scenes that I felt could've been better along with making it more realistic and believable and adding more detail

Secondly, one of my biggest problems with this story was Tom. Now while writing him I just thought that having Byleth and someone from Earth switching bodies would be cool. Now lookibg back on it now, I regret including Tom here as his inclusion alone just over complicated things. Now even though I will be keeping Terracite and Audrey's crest in the rewrite, I do however plan to amend Tom altogether. Even though Tom may not appear in the rewrite he will at least still exist in the universe of the rewrite. Sorry to everyone who likes him but please understand that he over complicated things for me while writing this story.

Finally, I want to rewrite Audrey. Now while writing this story I did not develop Audrey at all as I was very unorganized. I mean I did not initially have any outline planned and I never actually wrote Audrey's character. So to me she just felt like a blank slate, a generic self-insert oc. In my rewrite I hope to be a lot more organized when writing it and to improve Audrey's character by making her seem like more a real person then a blank slate.

I hope you all understand this decision I have made and I hope that uou all continue to support me in the rewrite. I understand that some of you may be disappointed or frustrated by this decision but I assure you this is for the best. My goal is to deliver you guys a fanfic that you will love and enjoy reading and will stay true to the Three Houses canon.

I cannot tell you all when the rewrite will be posted with the first chapter so just keep a lookout for a rewrite on this story. This story will still however be up for anyone who wants to view it in the meantime, but it will no longer receive any new chapters or updates from this update onward.

Thank you for supporting me with this story as even though it may have not turned out how I wanted it to, it was still very fun to write. I appreciate your feedback and comments as it all means alot to me and motivates me to keep writing.

While you do have a point that the Agarthans and the Fodlanese may not stand much of a chance against us. You do have to take into account that even though we may have guns and bombs, they have crests, heroes relics, magic, and missiles to counter our weaponry.
