Scene: Interior, the Agreste mansion, in the crypt. Gabriel stands before Emilie's pod.

Gabriel: Emilie, my love, a cycle is coming to an end. In a matter of days, it will all be over — or rather, it will all start over again... (clenches his right hand, entirely blackened by the Cataclysm.) I swore to you that I would do everything to bring us together again. We're almost there. (He unfolds his left sleeve to cover his Cataclysmed arm and walks away.)

Emilie: (v.o.) When Gabriel has a vision, nothing can stop him. Not even the impossible. His passion...

Scene: Interior, the Agreste mansion, in Nathalie's room. Nathalie is seen watching Emilie's old video log on the phone that is stored inside the vault.

Emilie: (in the video) ...sweeps everything away. He wanted so badly to make me happy but he pushed us too far. And when I realized that, I couldn't make him understand that… (Gabriel goes up the stairs in the mansion's foyer.) ...sometimes, you have to let go. Now it's too late for me. (She coughs in the video. Gabriel glances at the half-opened door of Nathalie's room. He goes up to the door and eavesdrops on Nathalie listening to Emilie's video recording.) But not for you, Nathalie. Adrien shouldn't have to suffer the consequences of our mistakes. Our little prince has the right to create his own vision of happiness. (Gabriel scowls and leaves from the door.) Please protect him. (smiles bitterly. As the video recording comes to an end, Nathalie shares the same bitter smile that Emilie left in the video.)

Adrien once again teared up in sadness at the sight of his mother in one of her recorded videos on-screen, but Marinette tenderly cuddled him which succeeded in comforting him as he gave her a warm smile in gratitude.

Split Scenes: Left, in the Agreste mansion, in Adrien's room; right, in the Dupain-Cheng Residence, in Marinette's room. Adrien and Marinette perform their morning routine simultaneously on call.

Adrien: Morning, Marinette!

Marinette: Morning, Adrien! (They grab their lucky charms on the bedside and head to the bathroom. While brushing their teeth, they try talking, but only end up mumbling. They burst out laughing. As Marinette eats breakfast, Adrien walks downstairs to the kitchen. Marinette, on the other hand, almost knocks over the milk carton with her cereal bowl.)

Adrien: Watch out, Marinette!

Marinette: (after luckily catching the milk carton from falling) Oh! Thanks, Adrien! (She chuckles. Before Marinette leaves, Tom and Sabine give her two bags of treats. Meanwhile, Adrien heads to the mansion's kitchen.)

Tom: And voilà! My darling daughter's croissants.

Sabine: And chouquettes for her Adrien!

Adrien: Thank you! See you later, Marinette! (hangs up)

Scene: Interior, the Agreste mansion, in the kitchen. Adrien sits down at the table next to Nathalie.

Adrien: Good morning!

Gabriel: Just in time for breakfast! By the way, how did your friend Marinette take the news of your upcoming departure for London, Adrien? (Adrien reacts with surprise.) You haven't told her yet, have you? I can understand it is indeed a little sad... but you know I'm doing this for your happiness.

"WHAT?!" Everyone in the audience exclaimed in anger on behalf of Adrien towards Mr. Agreste on-screen.

Nathalie: Are you sure this is about his vision of happiness and not your own?

Gabriel: (Becomes visibly angry and starts rubbing his ring behind his back.) I am his father, and I know what is best for him.

"There he goes again! Fidgeting his ring! What's the deal?!" Alya loudly asked as well as everyone else as they noticed Mr. Agreste fidgeting his wedding ring again on-screen.

"You'll see later on," Angel answered, making her audience mildly groan in frustration as they turned their attention back to the screen.

Adrien: You should've listened to Marinette's advice, Father. Your pancakes taste as bad as ever. (Moves his plate away.) Have a nice day, Nathalie. (Takes his bag and walks out.)

Scene: In front of the Agreste mansion.

Adrien: (to his bodyguard) If you don't mind, I'd rather walk. I need to take my mind off things.

Scene: Place des Vosges.

Plagg: You really put your father in his place! I can't wait to see his face when you tell him you're not going to London!

Adrien: I have no idea how to tell him that, Plagg.

Plagg: But you're going to tell him, right? You can't wait until you're gone to tell him you're not going.

Adrien: All I know is — whatever happens, Marinette and I will last forever.

Plagg: Forever? Well, in the meantime, you only have a few days left!

Scene: In front of Collège Françoise Dupont.

Marinette: Adrien!

Adrien: Marinette!

Marinette: (Pulls out a paper bag.) Chouquettes?

Adrien: Thank you. (The couple tried kissing twice, but stopped both times and burst out laughing. All their classmates are watching them on the school's staircase.)

Rose: How can they still get it wrong? It's not like it's complicated.

Alya: For these two, it is. It's very complicated. (Rose becomes fed up and walks over to them.)

Rose: You two, that's enough! Do it!

Marinette: Wha– What are you talking about, Rose?

Rose: The kiss! The wonderful act that will seal the eternal love between the cutest sweethearts ever! The sweethearts we've been waiting forever for! So — you two, kiss. Now. Or I will kiss you both!

"Ooooh! You showed them, Rose!" Alya mockingly said to her friend who frowned in embarrassment while everyone else chuckled in amusement.

Adrien: It's nice of you to support us, Rose, but we're just waiting for the right time. Aren't we, Marinette?

Marinette: Oh, you said it so well. You're perfect, Adrien, as always.

Adrien: No, you are.

Marinette: No, you are.

Adrien: No, you are.

Marinette: No, you're perfect.

Adrien: No, you're perfect.

Marinette: No, you're perfect.

Adrien: No, you.

Marinette: No, you. (As they go back and forth, their classmates look on, confused and exhausted.)

"OH MY GOD!" The teens in the audience (except for the two heroes) exclaimed in extreme annoyance towards the couple's behavior on-screen.

"For the love of…, please don't become one of those annoying exaggerated lovey-dovey couples!" Alix said to the blushing two heroes on behalf of everyone else who murmured loudly in agreement.

Rose: Aw, you're so cute. But so irritating too!

Scene: Miss Bustier's classroom. As the students settle in their seats, Sabrina walks up to her ex-best friend. They look at each other confrontationally. Sabrina scoffs at her, then sits next to Nathaniel instead. Chloé notices Marinette and Adrien walking in.

"In case that wasn't clear from the career forms incident, you two girls aren't friends anymore," Angel pointed out to Chloe and Sabrina, which made the two girls look at each other in sadness. Everyone else nodded in understanding while also having a look of relief that Sabrina had separated herself from Chloe and joined their side in the alternate future on-screen.

Chloé: Adri-nothing and his baker girl, or "how to go from magazine paper to toilet paper"!

Marinette: Be mean while you still can, Chloé. I'm gonna let you in on a secret. Remember your friend Lila who used to hurt everyone with her lies? See her anywhere in this classroom? No, because I put a stop to her nastiness and I'll do the same with you!

Chloé: Oh, I'd very much like to see that, Dupain-Cheng. (The camera pans to reveal a small earpiece in Chloé's right ear.)

Cerise: (through the earpiece) Let her think that she's the best.

"As you can see, you two are still communicating with each other and coming up with more schemes together even when she went from Lila to Cerise," Angel pointed out to Chloe and everybody else who nodded in understanding while also sharing looks of concern about what's going to happen.

Scene: La Plage.

"Yep, you're all seeing this right. That girl actually has an evil lair of her own," Angel pointed out about Lila/Cerise to her audience who widened their eyes and dropped their jaws in shock.

"That painting in her lair looks really familiar. Have we been to this place before?" Nathaniel asked as soon as he saw the painting on the lair's wall in which everyone else murmured in agreement as soon as they saw the painting too.

"I'll give you all a hint: think underground," Angel said to her audience who were all silent in deep thought until Marinette broke it.

"The Catacombs!" Marinette exclaimed. "Remember when we did that research paper about the Catacombs?!"

"Yeah, I know I've seen that painting before! That place is called La Plage like the painting!" Nathaniel then pointed out in which everyone else then murmured in familiarity.

"Yeah, it's one of those areas in the Catacombs that's not accessible to the public!" Alix then pointed out to everyone else.

"So, her lair is around an underground cemetery with a bunch of dead bodies nearby? How very apropos for her!" Alya expressed her opinion in which everyone else murmured in agreement.

"You think she has that lair already?" Adrien then asked his girlfriend curiously.

"Maybe. We should probably check that out when we get back," Marinette answered as she also shrugged in response.

Cerise: We're not done with her yet. (Cerise stands in her very own secret lair in front of a corkboard with pictures of her enemies and people related to them. She listens to Miss Bustier's lesson.)

Caline: (heard through the earpiece) No, Kim, the Sans-culottes of the French Revolution weren't called this because they ran around in their swimsuits.

Scene: Miss Bustier's classroom. The class laughs at Kim's comment.

Caline: It was, in fact, because unlike the rich aristocrats, they wore plain canvas pants—
(The teacher is interrupted by Chloé playing loud music.)

Chloé: (Starts dancing on her bench.) Bla-bla-bla, no one cares, no one cares, no one cares about this!

"This is your plan?! Making a fool out of yourself in front of us?!" Marinette asked the blonde girl in exasperation as well as everyone else while Chloe cringed her face in embarrassment for what her alternate future self is doing on-screen.

Rose: Chloé, quit it!

Nino: Turn it off! We find it interesting!

Rose: We wanna hear the lesson, we care!

Chloé: Of course you find it interesting. You'll all need to find jobs later on, but I won't! That's the difference between the Sans-culottes (Points to the others.) and the aristocrats, (Points to herself.) isn't it, Miss Bustier?

Caline: Chloé, that's enough. Turn off that music right away or I'll send you to the principal's office.

"Since Mr. Damocles is gone, who's our principal for our last days of school?" Adrien asked curiously as well as everyone else.

"Miss Mendeleiev," Angel answered to her audience.

"Not a bad choice actually. The strictest no-nonsense teacher in school. She could actually be brave against the Bourgeois family. No offense, Mr. Damocles!" Marinette said as everyone else murmured in agreement after some deep thought.

"None taken," Mr. Damocles responded, knowing how much of a coward he was against the mayor and his family.

Chloé: I don't think so. Actually, I think you're the one who's going. (Calls the new principal on her Alliance.) Ms. Mendeleiev, the new school rules allow music in class, don't they? (Miss Bustier is shocked.)

Ms. Mendeleiev: (through the Alliance) Uhh... are you sure?

Chloé: Would you like me to disturb my father, the Mayor of Paris, so he can confirm that for you?

Ms. Mendeleiev: (Hangs up with Chloé and calls Miss Bustier instead.) Miss Bustier, please see me in my office. (Miss Bustier walks out dejected.)

Chloé: Bye-bye!

Marinette: Chloé, are you out of your mind? Miss Bustier is pregnant, she doesn't need this stress!

Mylène: We won't let you treat her like this!

Chloé: And how are you going to stop me, huh? By drowning me in your tears?

Scene: Principal's office.

Mayor Bourgeois: (through the Alliance) Chloé's wishes are Paris City Hall's orders. (Hangs up.)

"Even your own father is starting to get annoyed by you at this point, Chloe," Angel said to the blonde girl who looked down in sadness while everyone else quietly murmured in agreement.

Ms. Mendeleiev: It's an order from the mayor. He's my superior. I have no other choice but to comply.

"Unfortunately, I'm wrong!" Marinette said in exasperation as well as everyone else about Miss Mendeleiev also not being able to stand up to the mayor about his daughter's behavior on-screen.

Scene: Miss Bustier's classroom.

Ivan: (to Chloé) What did you say to Mylène?!

Marinette: (Stands in front of him with her hand raised.) No, Ivan, that's exactly what she wants! (Miss Bustier walks in and sees the scene.)

Cerise: (through the earpiece) Now.

Chloé: (Rubs her cheek vigorously to make it appear red.) Ow! Marinette slapped me!

Marinette: What?! No, I didn't! I was stopping Ivan from–

The remaining students: Chloé's lying! She's a manipulator!

Chloé: See? They all pretend to be non-violent, but they'll attack a helpless girl! (Makes another call with her Alliance.) Ms. Mendeleiev!

The entire audience gave Chloe fiery glares in reaction to the situation on-screen while Chloe stood frozen in shock on how worse she turned out to be in this alternate future.

Scene: Principal's office.

Sabine: This is absurd! You can't expel Marinette days before the end of the school year!

Tom: Without an investigation? Or proof?

Chloé: Look! (Rubs her cheek again.) How's that for proof?

Caline: Chloé, do you remember this gift you gave me on my birthday? (Shows a golden bracelet she received from the student in "Zombizou".) To me, that is proof that you're a fragile teenager who doesn't know love and is simply looking for attention. And... we all tried to help you. So, please, whatever it is you want, ask yourself if it's worth all the suffering you're causing.

Chloé: Did you hear that? A homeroom teacher using a student's feelings to blackmail her. This is inappropriate, utterly inappropriate! My father, the mayor, would never tolerate this in a school. (Cerise dictates every word Chloé says to her.)

Chloé and Cerise: He would ask for her immediate dismissal. (Everybody reacts with shock.)

Caline: Olga, you can't do this!

Ms. Mendeleiev: (Sighs.) I'm sorry, but since the mayor is my superior, I have no choice but to comply.

"So now, Marinette is expelled from school and Miss Bustier is fired," Angel pointed out the outcome of the situation as everyone else gasped in shock and horror.

Scene: La Plage. With great satisfaction, Cerise unpins two photos of Marinette and Miss Bustier from her corkboard as a sign of victory.

The audience (including Chloe) growled in anger towards Lila/Cerise on-screen.

Scene: Miss Bustier's classroom. Miss Bustier packs her belongings into a box, struggling to hold back tears.

Scene: Monarch's lair.

Monarch: A committed teacher who was unjustly dismissed — this is perfect for my megakuma. (Turns a butterfly into a megakuma.) Kaalki, your power is now mine! (Absorbs the kwami into his Horse Miraculous ring.) Voyage, my megakuma! And turn this feeling of injustice into righteous anger!

Scene: Miss Bustier's classroom. The Megakuma flies through the Voyage portal and lodges itself in Caline's box.

Monarch: (telepathically from his lair) Miss Sans-Culotte, I am Monarch. You have fallen victim to a corrupt system, but I am offering you the power to avenge this injustice.

Caline: No... thank you!

Monarch: (telepathically, from his lair) What do you mean "no, thank you"?

Caline: (Employs a special breathing technique to calm down.) All I want is to talk some sense into my student... using words... I don't need your evil powers for that. (Breaks out of her akumatization. The megakuma flies out of the box and is purified into a normal butterfly.)

The audience sighed in relief that Miss Bustier managed to resist the akuma on-screen, but then frowned as they remembered that she'll eventually be akumatized later.

Scene: Monarch's lair.

Monarch: What? (Monarch's Alliance rings.)

Alliance Emilie: You have an appointment in ten minutes with the mayor and Tsurugi-san.

Monarch: (Groans.) Dark wings fall. (Detransforms.)

Scene: In front of Collège Françoise Dupont. The students of Miss Bustier's class say goodbye to their teacher. Her partner is waiting for her.

Gisele: Just let me have a word with that new principal of yours!

"Who's that?" The audience asked about Miss Bustier's life partner on-screen, never having met her before.

"That's my life partner, Gisele. I'll be raising this baby with her," Miss Bustier explained about Gisele while she caressed her stomach as well as lovingly gazed at her partner trying to help her on-screen.

Caline: (Grabs her wrist.) It wouldn't do any good, Gisele. (to her students) Besides, I'm sure we'll find a solution! I won't let you down!

Marinette: Neither will we, Miss Bustier! You can count on us. (Inside the school, an annoyed Chloé watches the gathering.)

Scene: In front of Le Grand Paris. Chloé speaks with her father.

Chloé: (through the Alliance) Because it looks like they haven't really learned their lesson! (Mayor Bourgeois sees Mrs. Tsurugi's car park in front of the hotel.) But if she's imprisoned, or gets expelled from Paris–

"I am really out of my mind, aren't I?" Chloe asked, shocked at what her alternate future self is now asking of her father on-screen.

"YOU THINK?!" Everyone in the audience (except for Angel) rhetorically asked the blonde girl in exasperation.

"This is just the beginning, Chloe. You're gonna do things much worse later on," Angel then said to Chloe who gulped in fear along with everyone else of what she's going to do in this alternate future.

Mayor Bourgeois: Okay, okay, okay, we'll talk about this later, I don't have time to chat right now. (Helps Tomoe out of her car. Next to the hotel, Cerise spies on the mayor. She has a duffel bag around her shoulder.)

Cerise: Are you going to let your father talk to you like this, Chloé?

Chloé: (through the earpiece) What?! You think you're going to teach me how to be mean?

Cerise: (Sets her bag down and opens it.) No, of course not, but you should go see your father at the palace to remind him that no one disobeys Chloé Bourgeois. (Gabriel's car arrives too. The designer steps out.)

"Has that girl already done enough damage in one lifetime?! What's she up to now?!" Marinette asked about Lila/Cerise on-screen in exasperation as everyone else murmured angrily in agreement.

"You'll see," Angel said as she frowned at Lila/Cerise on-screen.

Scene: Le Grand Paris — restaurant. Blueprints for Tsurugi Industries' police robots are laid out across the table.

Tomoe: Our police robots are the future of security, Mr. Mayor.

"Police robots?! Are they serious?!" Kagami asked in exasperation along with everyone else about her mother's new invention on-screen.

"My dad will be out of a job if the mayor agrees to this!" Sabrina said in despair as Barkk tried to comfort her.

Gabriel: Paris will set an example by being the first to use them. Elegance and power in the service of order.

Mayor Bourgeois: What about all of my policemen who'll be out of a job? They've got to make a living!

Tomoe: Your policemen mostly get paid for doing nothing. It seems that Ladybug and Cat Noir are the ones who have been enforcing the law in Paris the last few months, wouldn't you agree?

Gabriel: Who would you rather trust — children whose identities you don't even know?

Tomoe: Or robots that will be entirely under your full, yet remote, control? (Mayor Bourgeois is deep in thought.)

Gabriel: If you want to remain the engineer of Paris for a long time to come, André, you have to board the train of the future before it leaves you at the station. (Hands Mayor Bourgeois a pen from his jacket.)

Chloé: DADDY! How dare you hang up without obeying me?!

Cerise: (through the earpiece) Turn on your camera!

Chloé: (whispering) Why do you want me to do that?

Mayor Bourgeois: To do what?

Chloé: Uhhh...

Scene: In front of Le Grand Paris. Cerise finishes her disguise by putting on a wig. She's dressed exactly like a maid employed at the hotel.

Cerise: Just trust me and you'll get everything you want.

"She actually has a hotel employee disguise?!" Marinette asked in shock as well as everyone else towards Lila/Cerise's hotel employee disguise on-screen. "So, she can just blend in as anyone lurking anywhere!"

"That girl's more undetectable than Sabrina as Vanisher!" Alya commented about Lila/Cerise with everyone else murmuring loudly in agreement.

"I guess that would explain how she was able to stalk and take those pictures of you without being noticed," Adrien pointed out to his girlfriend who winced along with everyone else at the reminder of that.

Scene: Le Grand Paris — restaurant. Chloé smiles awkwardly, then turns on the camera of her Alliance.

Chloé: You have to do what I want because everyone has to do whatever I want! (Cerise watches the three adults on the table through her phone. She zooms in on Gabriel in particular, then walks into the hotel.) Miss Bustier must go to jail and all of the students in my classroom must be FORBIDDEN from attending any high school, EVER!

Mayor Bourgeois: Ouu... don't you think this is taking things a bit too far, Chloé?

Chloé: Mom is right, you have NO command of authority! That's why nobody obeys you, you're ridiculous! (On her phone, Cerise notices Gabriel beginning to smile. She's hidden right outside the restaurant.)

Cerise: You're right, Chloé, your father is weak. And if it weren't for Ladybug and Cat Noir, Paris would be run by akumatized villains, right?

Chloé: You're such a weak mayor that if it weren't for Ladybug and Cat Noir — and everyone knows how pathetic they are — if it weren't for them, Monarch would be the mayor of Paris!

Cerise: If you, Chloé, were the mayor, you'd ban superheroes.

Chloé: If I were the mayor, I'd ban superheroes!

Gabriel: You should follow your daughter's example, André. She isn't as cowardly as you are.

Mayor Bourgeois: Oh, come on! Ladybug and Cat Noir are wonderful, everyone loves them. As for her classmates, what she's asking for is unreasonable! Would you let me forbid Adrien to go to high school?

Gabriel: The question is irrelevant. When next school year starts, Adrien will be in London.

Chloé: Uh? Adri-nothi– I mean, Adrien won't be in Paris any longer?

Mayor Bourgeois: (Sighs and takes off his sash.) I'll do whatever you want, Chloé, I promise, but right now, you must let me finish this lunch. (Leads his daughter outside.)

Cerise: Well done, Chloé. That was a real display of power. (Chloé smiles triumphantly.)

Tomoe: This fool's dithering is wasting precious time that we can no longer afford to waste. Or more exactly, that you can no longer afford to waste.

Gabriel: (Pulls down his left sleeve to uncover his fully blackened arm. Takes the mayoral sash off the table and stands up.) I'll talk to him.

Scene: Liberty.

Mylène: First, Mr. Damocles and now Miss Bustier and Marinette all dismissed because of Chloé? We can't let that happen!

Marinette: There's only a few days left before the school year ends, Mylène.

Alya: It's never too late for justice.

Rose: But what about the end-of-the-year dance? It's the perfect time for kisses. What are you gonna do if you can't go, Marinette?

Marinette: No one can stop us from loving each other, Rose.

Everyone: Awww! (Adrien starts looking worried.)

Scene: Le Grand Paris — rooftop.

"Up there, Mayor Bourgeois is now going to confide in Mr. Agreste his honest feelings about his life. Brace yourself, Chloe. Some of the things he's gonna say might be hurtful for you to hear," Angel warned in which Chloe nodded sadly in anticipation now she knows how unhappy her father is with her in this alternate future.

Mayor Bourgeois: Seriously, Gabriel, what's this whole police robot idea all about?

Gabriel: Have I ever offered a single bad idea to you, André? We've always helped each other, haven't we?

Mayor Bourgeois: Remember when we were young and penniless? (Opens his 'dream depository'.) When Emilie, you and I would make the world right from our little attic room? (Picks up an old tie from the depository.) You made me my very first suit so I'd feel confident and Audrey, whom I'd fallen in love with, would finally notice me? Don't you think we were much happier back then? That our lives were more beautiful, more fair?

Gabriel: Come on, you have everything to be happy, André. You have your wife, your daughter, Paris City Hall… (Cerise spies on their conversation from behind some plants.)

Mayor Bourgeois: A woman who barely respects me, a selfish, heartless daughter and a City Hall that I never wanted. I only got into politics like Dad to impress Audrey, you know that.

Upon hearing what her father said about her on-screen, tears began to flow out of Chloe's eyes but more out of guilt than hurt feelings as she realized that he was right and that she is at fault for her actions because of cruelty and selfishness. Pollen made an attempt to comfort her by trying to wipe her tears away which she responded with a sad but grateful smile.

Gabriel: (Discreetly turns on his Alliance's recording function.) I have no idea what you're talking about.

Mayor Bourgeois: Look at me, Gabe. All my life I've lied, I've cheated and I've abused my power. I used to be a dreamer, an artist, I wanted to make movies! I've become a tyrant in servitude to my family and their friends... (Wipes his face with the mayoral sash.) Police robots today? And tomorrow? I'll replace teachers with machines, maybe? Or perhaps I'll turn the school into a prison! A factory of fools just smart enough to buy products that make you, me and Tsurugi-san rich? And you? Look at yourself. You used to create unique clothing to help people's dreams become a reality. Today you design police robots and connected rings. You know what? Maybe there's still hope. Maybe we can still change, give up our privileges, go back to the way it was before! (Picks up and starts looking through one of his old movie scripts.)

Gabriel: What should I tell Tsurugi-san?

Mayor Bourgeois: Tell her no, I won't do it. City Hall is no longer for sale, Gabe.

Gabriel: (Turns off recording.) If that's what you want... (Walks off.)

Mayor Bourgeois: Hey, this script wasn't that bad at all actually. Haha, funny scene! (Cerise smirks.)

After hearing what Mayor Bourgeois had said about his life on-screen, everyone in the audience gave sad looks towards the city mayor, feeling sorry for him.

Scene: Gabriel's atelier. Using his Alliance, Gabriel edits his recording of André's words.

"What's my father doing?" Adrien said as he and everyone else frowned in curiosity to what his father was doing on-screen.

"He's editing the recording he took of Mayor Bourgeois that will make him look bad in front of everyone else, hoping to get someone akumatized. Like Miss Bustier," Angel explained as she pointed to the young teacher as everyone else nodded in understanding though nervous for what's going to happen, especially Chloe who's afraid for her father.

Mayor Bourgeois: (in the recording) Look at me, Gabe. All my life I've lied, I've cheated and I've abused my power. I used to be a dreamer— (The video gets fast-forwarded.) Police robots today? And tomorrow? I'll replace teachers with machines, maybe? Or perhaps I'll turn the school into a prison! (The selected clips are put together into one shorter, deceptive video.) All my life I've lied, I've cheated and I've abused my power. Police robots today? And tomorrow, I'll replace teachers with machines, or turn the school into a prison!

Gabriel: Alliance, send the video, please.

Scene: Outdoors café near the Sorbonne. Caline holds the bracelet from Chloé in her hand. She's visibly upset.

Gisele: It's gonna be okay. (Kisses Caline on the cheek.) I'll be right back. (Caline receives a notification on her Alliance. She opens it to see the edited clip of Mayor Bourgeois admitting to corruption on the TVi news station.)

Mayor Bourgeois: (in the video) All my life I've lied, I've cheated and I've abused my power. Police robots today? And tomorrow, I'll replace teachers with machines, or turn the school into a prison!

Caline: It's not about me getting fired anymore, the mayor can't do this! Someone has to stop him!

Scene: Monarch's lair. A ready megakuma waits on Monarch's hand.

Monarch: Now is the perfect time. Voyage, my megakuma!

Scene: Outdoors café near the Sorbonne. The megakuma flies out underneath the table Caline is sitting at and infects the bracelet in her hand.

Monarch: (telepathically, from his lair) Miss Sans-Culotte, you thought an education could change the world for the better, but your superiors betrayed your ideals. If you want to protect them, you're going to have to fight!

Caline: (struggling) No, there has to be another solution besides violence!

Monarch: (telepathically, from his lair) There is — power. And I'm about to give you one. A magical, mighty power. All I ask in return are Ladybug and Cat Noir's Miraculous.

Caline: Gyaahh... I'm only doing this for the children, Monarch. (Is covered in a black-purple ether and transformed into a supervillain.)

Monarch: (telepathically, from his lair) To give strength to your revolution, I am entrusting you with the essence of the Miraculous of Jubilation. It will give you the power to make people see their dreams of freedom and thus, win over supporters for your cause! Daizzi, your power is now mine! (Absorbs the kwami into the Pig Miraculous ring.) To arms, citizens! Form your battalions! Transfer! (Taps the ring. A component inside Miss Sans-Culotte's Alliance ring displays the Pig Miraculous' symbol. The blade at the end of the chain wrapped around her wrist lights up pink. Théo Barbot sees her and tries running away.)

Miss Sans-Culotte: No one can stop the revolution! (Hits him with her blade, transforming him into a red balloon.)

Balloon Théo: Ah, ça ira ça ira ça ira!

Miss Sans-Culotte: Long live the revolution! (Walks away with her first 'supporter'.)

"So, I'm just turning everyone into balloons?" Miss Bustier asked in confusion as well as everyone else to her new supervillain form's power on-screen.

"Pretty much. I'm not sure how it is related to the Pig Miraculous' power though. Sorry," Angel apologized for her own confusion as everyone else turned their attention back to the screen.

Gisele: Caline, you can't do this! You said it yourself — there are other ways! (Miss Sans-Culotte ignores Gisele and jumps away.)

Scene: Monarch's lair.

Monarch: Dark wings fall. (Detransforms.)

Gabriel: (Calls Tomoe using his Alliance.) The trap is set, Tsurugi-san. While we wait for Ladybug and Cat Noir to fall into it, the only thing that remains is for us to turn Chloé Bourgeois into a savior.

"How's he gonna do that?!" Chloe asked, now fearful as well as everyone else for what he and Mrs. Tsurugi are going to do to her on-screen.

"You'll see," Angel said as she pointed to the screen.

Scene: TVi studio.

Nadja: So, Mr. Banana, your autobiography "Stay Peachy" is being made into a movie. What can you tell us about it?

Mr. Banana: Stay peachy!

Miss Sans-Culotte: That's enough! (Transforms him into a balloon.)

Balloon army: Ah, ça ira ça ira ça ira!

Miss Sans-Culotte: Television shouldn't be used to stupify the masses, but to awaken the consciousness of the people! (Plays the video of Mayor Bourgeois on her Alliance.)

Mayor Bourgeois: (in the video) All my life I've lied, I've cheated and I've abused my power. Police robots today? And tomorrow, I'll replace teachers with machines! (Parisians around the city watch the video.)

Scene: Liberty. Adrien sits on one of the hammocks. Marinette approaches him.

Marinette: I'm sure everything will be okay. The Resistance won't give up.

Adrien: I hope so…

Marinette: Is something else... going on? Do you wanna talk about it?

Adrien: (Stays silent for a brief moment, thinking.) I– (Adrien gets a notification on his phone.)

Adrien's phone: Megakuma alert! Megakuma alert!

Adrien: I have to– uhh... I have to go! My father insisted I come home right away in case of a megakuma alert. (Runs off.)

Marinette: (Heads to the Liberty's quarterdeck.) I hope Adrien isn't in trouble.

Tikki: I'm sure he'd tell you if he were, Marinette.

Marinette: You must be right. Tikki, spots on! (Transforms.)

Scene: Streets near the Seine.

Adrien: (Hides behind a staircase.) I was just about to tell her but it's never the right time... Plagg, claws out! (Transforms.)

"My father's timing really stinks!" Adrien exclaimed in exasperation as everyone else murmured in annoyed agreement.

Scene: Liberty. Zoé watches the video of Mayor Bourgeois.

Mayor Bourgeois: (in the video) I've cheated and I've abus– (Zoé turns off her Alliance and runs off to everyone's surprise.)

Scene: Chloé's room.

Mayor Bourgeois: (in the video) Police robots today? And tomorrow, I'll replace teachers with machines!

Chloé: Are you kidding me?! Has he been akumatized or something?! (Answers an incoming call on her Alliance.) Mr. Agreste?

Gabriel: (through the Alliance) Chloé, I was very impressed by your eloquence earlier and it compelled me to give you a gift. The most precious, the most superb gift there is.

Chloé: The only thing you could've offered me was Adrien, but now that he's made a fool of himself with his baker girl, I don't want him anymore.

"Offer me?! Chloe, I'm not a diamond bracelet in a jewelry box!" Adrien said in exasperation to his childhood friend who shrunk from embarrassment while everyone else murmured in agreement.

Gabriel: I was actually thinking of a gift that would grant you power.

Chloé: No need. I already have everything I want since my dad is the mayor of Paris.

Cerise: (from her lair, through the earpiece) With his confession, your father may not be the mayor for much longer. And if he's no longer able to protect you, what will happen when you have to answer to all the people you've hurt?

Chloé: (to Gabriel) ...Alright, wait a second, what's this gift you keep talking about?

Scene: Hôtel de Ville. Police officers headed by Roger Raincomprix are stationed outside of City Hall to protect the mayor from Miss Sans-Culotte. The supervillain attacks them and transforms them into balloons one by one without much difficulty. Ladybug and Cat Noir meet up on the rooftop of a nearby building.

Cat Noir: It's almost Bastille Day, m'lady. Do you think this akumatized villain wants to celebrate the French Revolution early?

Ladybug: Mostly I think it's strange that Monarch would support a revolutionary. (The two heroes jump into action and attack the villain. A battle ensues.)

Miss Sans-Culotte: Ladybug, Cat Noir, help the Sans-culottes free Paris from its aristocratic mayor!

Ladybug: Terror isn't a solution!

Cat Noir: There are elections to make your voice heard.

Miss Sans-Culotte: Or a revolution when everyone is corrupt. Nothing can stop freedom!

Cat Noir: We're all for the big dance and fireworks on July 14th, but don't you think that's a lot, Miss Sans-Culotte?

Ladybug: Just be careful she doesn't make you lose your head, kitty!

Cat Noir: I can't make heads or tails of her definition of justice.

Ladybug: Let's try something else. Lucky Charm! (Receives a crown.)

Cat Noir: A crown?

Ladybug: (Sees the crown, Miss Sans-Culotte and City Hall highlighted in her vision.) Revolution... Sans-culotte... Mayor Bourgeois is acting like the king of Paris and maybe he should be removed from office after all.

Cat Noir: Are you saying we should give this villain free reign?

Ladybug: I don't know... I feel like that's what the Lucky Charm means. You're right, it's not up to us to decide who gets to be the mayor and who doesn't. An akumatized villain just needs to be de-akumatized.

"I still don't get what I'm supposed to do with the Lucky Charm crown," Marinette confessed in confusion as well as everyone else.

"That Lucky Charm isn't for Miss Sans-Culotte. It's for something bad that's about to happen involving Chloe," Angel explained as she pointed to the shocked Chloe. The audience then turned their attention back to the screen, desperate to see what happens.

Miss Sans-Culotte: (to her balloons) Take care of them while I accomplish my mission! (Ladybug and Cat Noir are squashed in a pile of balloons. She laughs.) This is what happens when you hesitate. When faced with adversity, we must dare, and dare again, and go on daring! (Opens the door to City Hall and heads towards the mayor's office.)

Zoé: (Runs in.) Hey, wait! My stepdad Mayor Bourgeois has made some mistakes, but... deep down, he's not a bad man.

Miss Sans-Culotte: I've tried to listen to people, to educate my students, to convince with words, but we have to face the facts — there's only one thing that ever works: a revolution! (Attacks Zoé with her blade.)

Ladybug: (Protects Zoé from the attack.) Give yourself one last chance. You're a teacher, aren't you? Then try to use your best weapon one last time — your words. Granted, they don't work on everyone, but if this girl is telling the truth, maybe it will work with the mayor!

Scene: Hôtel de Ville — Mayor Bourgeois' office.

Mayor Bourgeois : (in the video) And I've abused my power– (The real Mayor Bourgeois shuts off the display screen in the office. He calls Gabriel on his Alliance.)

Gabriel: (pre-recorded voice) You've reached Gabriel Agreste's voicemail. Please leave a message.

Mayor Bourgeois: I thought we were friends, Gabriel, but it seems that is no longer the case. But then again, what you did was just the push I needed to finally make the right decision. I do feel sorry for you, however. Goodbye, Gabriel. (Hangs up and looks at the script of Solitude on his table. The door to the office opens. Miss Sans-Culotte walks in, closely guarded by Ladybug and Cat Noir.)

"I can't believe my father's so desperate that he would betray one of his best friends like that," Adrien said in disappointment towards his father with everyone else murmuring in agreement.

Miss Sans-Culotte: Mr. Bourgeois, you cheated, lied and used collusion! You must be accountable to the people and step down as mayor of Paris!

Mayor Bourgeois: You're absolutely right! I should never have become mayor in the first place, and such an excellent teacher as you should never have been fired. So, we're going to fix this! By the powers vested in me, I now reinstate you to your position! (Ladybug, Cat Noir and Miss Sans-Culotte are greatly surprised. Zoé peeks in.) And now, by the powers vested in me, I... fire myself from City Hall! (Takes off his sash and picks up the movie script.) Ah, what a relief. I'll let you close the door on the way out. Goodbye! (Walks off with Zoé.)

The entire audience (especially Chloe) widened their eyes and dropped their jaws in shock at what Mayor Bourgeois had done on-screen.

Miss Sans-Culotte: (to Ladybug and Cat Noir) You were right. Sometimes a revolution can also be won with words. (Breaks out of her akumatization and turns back to normal. The megakuma escapes the infected object and purifies itself.)

Gisele: Ah, Caline!

Caline: Gisele! (The two women run to each other and kiss on the lips, then walk out together.)

Ladybug and Cat Noir: Pound it!

"Pound it!" The two heroes fist-bumped then kissed each other in victory.

Ladybug: It's weird, I didn't get to use the crown. The Lucky Charm always indicates the right way to defeat the villain.

Cat Noir: But you also use it to repair the damage.

Ladybug: Maybe you're right. Miraculous Ladybug! (Every member of Miss Sans-Culotte's balloon army is turned back to their normal selves.)

Chloé: Arrest Ladybug and Cat Noir! (With reporters behind her, surrounded by eight police robots and with their control case in hand, Chloé enters the office.)

Ladybug: (Sees Chloé and her robots highlighted in her vision.) The Lucky Charm wasn't for Miss Sans-Culotte!

Cat Noir: A crown for the queen of brats, of course!

Chloé: (to the reporters) Ladybug and Cat Noir have just helped a supervillain force my father, the mayor of Paris, to resign. They have no right to use their magic powers in that way! Lucky for us all, I'm here to defend my father and protect... demotra– uhh, memocracy–

"THAT'S NOT TRUE!" The audience (except for Chloe who's frozen in shock for what she's doing on-screen) exclaimed in defense of the two heroes and Mayor Bourgeois.

Cerise: (through the earpiece) Chloé, Chloé — de-mo-cra-cy.

Chloé: De-mo-cra-cy!

Cerise: (through the earpiece) Well done!

Cat Noir: What exactly do you think you get to defend? Your father stepped down of his own accord.

Chloé: You see? Here they go again using their powers against demacro– demicro– uh, DECROMACY! They're not superheroes, they're supervillains!

Ladybug: That's enough! (Throws her yo-yo at Chloé. Chloé defends herself from Ladybug's attack by forming a shield with her robots, then launches a barrage of projectiles at the heroes. As they're busy defending themselves, she traps them in a net.)

Cat Noir: Cataclysm! (Destroys the net. Ladybug and Cat Noir quickly escape through a window. Chloé smiles maliciously.)

Epilogue. Scene: Hôtel de Ville — mayor's office. Marinette and Alya's families watch the news, concerned. Chloé is making an announcement.

Chloé: People of Paris! Until we find a detromatic solution — I mean, a solution that will work — I'll be your new mayor of Paris. That's it! Power must– one sec... (clears throat and whispers into the earpiece) I can't say that, it's ridiculous.

"WHAT?!" Everyone in the audience (including Chloe herself) exclaimed in extreme exasperation to the blonde girl's announcement.

"It can't be! A teenager, let alone Chloe, cannot be the mayor of our city!" Max exclaimed upon the illogic of the situation with everyone else murmuring in agreement.

Cerise: (through the earpiece) Trust me: nothing is more powerful than a lie.

Chloé: (whispering) Obviously. (to the camera) Power must return to the people! And I am of the people, which is why, as of today, the super-offenders Monarch, Ladybug and Cat Noir are outlawed.

"Can this get any more insane?!" Alya rhetorically asked as everyone else nodded in agreement., except for Chloe who is still frozen in shock on how mad with power she is in this alternate future.

"You'll see in the next episode which is called Revolution," Angel announced the next episode to her audience as she turned to Chloe. "Chloe, you're once again willingly akumatized into a new villain for probably the last time. This time, a villain called Queen Mayor," Angel explained further in which the audience began to wince in fear on how that would turn out.

"What do you mean by this is probably the last time I'll be akumatized?" Chloe asked nervously.

"Once you're de-akumatized, your father has finally given you a fitting punishment for all the years of your cruelty and selfishness," Angel explained which made Chloe wince even more in fear. "Anyway, let's start!"
