Eventually, Hope slowly pulled away, looking at Landon. Her hands were still on his body, not wanting to let go. She couldn't explain the pull she felt towards him. It hadn't even been anything like this with Roman when she was interested in him, but Landon was... different. Despite her efforts to close herself off, she saw that it wasn't possible to push him away. There was something about him that made him different from anyone else she had met.

There was a moment of silence before she finally let go of him. "I think its time you get your questions answered" she said. "Follow me"

She walked out of the witchcraft room, Landon quickly following after her and staying close to her. His mind was spinning with a lot of questions. He wasnt sure where to start and didn't want to scare her away if he asked too many questions. But he also didn't want her to avoid answers. Fortunately it seemed she would finally be honest with him.

Landon Kirby looked around the house a bit. He had been there quite a few times but now he was being observant to any signs of the supernatural that he had missed before. When he hadnt known the truth. Everything seemed normal, but what did he know? Maybe magical artifacts looked like everyday objects. He had seen the witchcraft room. But that didn't mean there was more beyond what they stored in that room.

Hope led Landon into the theater room that they had been in a few times before, and she closed the door magically once they were both inside. Landon looked over at the door that had shut on its own and looked over at Hope in surprise. He opened his mouth to speak but no words came out. Noticing, Hope chuckled softly, though there was no smile on her face. She walked over to the couch and took a seat, facing the other side of the couch. Landon walked over and sat across from her on the other side of the couch.

"I want to answer questions that you no doubt have" Hope said. "I finally want to tell you what all I've been keeping from you"

"When I asked you if you were a witch, you said 'Or something'. Care to elaborate?" Landon looked at her.

"The blood that runs through my veins isn't human. My dad was one of the earth's Original Vampires." Her gaze lowered a little at the thought of her dad before returning her gaze to Landon. "He was a hybrid technically. Half werewolf, half vampire"

"That's possible?" Landon questioned, surprised someone could be two things at once. Which meant Hope was perhaps three different things? That was amazing.

Hope chuckled softly despite the topic and gave Landon a faint smile. "Highly unusual but yes its possible. My mother was a werewolf alpha"

Landon continued to listen, taking in the information. Her father was a very old vampire werewolf hybrid, and her mother led a werewolf pack. But there was something else. The magic she did. Where did it come from?

"Um, my grandmother was a witch. So, all of those things passed down, making me-"

Landon interrupted Hope with a small smile "A unicorn?"

His words caused a small smile to appear on Hope's face before she explained "A hybrid of three different creatures, tribrid. I'm the only one of my kind."

Landon's smile grew at her words "Yeah. See? Unicorn."

Hope laughed, her smile stretching across her whole face as big as she could. Landon was glad he made her smile that big, especially considering just a few moments ago she was sad over the memory of her deceased parents. She deserved to be happy, and Landon vowed he would help make her happy or in less pain whenever he could.

Soon however, her smile slowly faded into a smaller one as she looked at him. "You've already seen the witchcraft room so I dont really need to show that to you" she said thoughtfully. "Not yet at least. Though I'll explain about things later" The sincerity in her eyes showed him that she really meant she was not going to end up pushing him away again, at least that no part of her was currently planning on it. "My family is a bit complicated. They are generally not a topic I want to discuss but I do want to be honest with you."

Suddenly an idea occurred to her, and she took his hand before leading him out of the room. Baffled, Landon followed after her curiously, not removing his hand from hers. It was clear from the look in her eyes that she had an idea, but he wondered what it had to do with he family since that was the topic of discussion. He followed her up the staircase and down the hall.

Hope reached her bedroom and opened it before walking inside. Landon blinked in surprise as he realized she had brought him to her bedroom. He had never seen it before. The tribrid took a seat at her desk and pulled out her sketchbook from the drawer along with some thin tipped markers. She had a little art supplies in her bedroom for if she wanted to sketch rather than paint. She had a spot to do that in her art studio as well but sometimes she preferred her bedroom.

"What are you doing?" Landon asked curiously, watching her open up her case.

"Making a family tree that will help provide a visual. Hopefully I can make it work on this"

She picked up a pencil and started a sketch of the family tree, writing each name in the proper location, including who was in a relationship with who. Landon waited patiently and looked around the room, spotting photographs on her dresser. He walked over to the dresser and looked at the photograph that seemed to contain a group of people and a young girl around the age of seven or eight. Landon realized it must be younger Hope with her family. He observed the faces in the photograph for a few moments before making his way back over to the girl he had feelings for, standing behind her as she worked on the family tree, now adding colors to help explain things

"Here. The pen colors connect the types of relationships, and the markers are the type of species. See, mine here at the bottom is red, blue, and green since I am part witch, part, werewolf, and part vampire. Though my vampire side isn't activated yet. If I die, I'll come back with it active." Hope explained. "Theoretically I mean. I'm the only one of my kind but that should be how it works, considering dying is part of the vampire process"

"You would have to die to become what you were born to be?" Landon questioned, his eyes widening a little.

Hope looked down a little and nodded, thinking. Part of her was scared of what she would become the day that came. She would become the most powerful creature, and what if vampirism turned her more into her father? She loved her father, and there were wonderful things about him. But she didn't want to kill people.

She cleared her throat. "So, Freya is a witch and Keelin is a werewolf. We keep her contained on a full moon so no one gets hurt"

"Is it likely for someone to get hurt?"

"If the wolf isn't restrained in a full moon or free out where no one is around, then yes. I have more control than other wolves do, and some wolves gain more control over time. But it can be dangerous if it is a young werewolf especially. One that recently triggered their curse." Even though Landon had questions on his mind, he didn't ask it, wanting her to choose what to tell him without pressuring her. However, Hope noticed the unspoken question and replied "There is a curse. Werewolves can't shift unless it is triggered. Unless they take a life, whether by accident or intentionally."

"So... your dad's adoptive son is married to your Aunt Rebekah?" Landon questioned after a few moments of examining the tree

"It's better not to think about it" Hope said with a soft chuckle before standing up. She walked over to her bed and took a seat. Landon hesitated before sitting beside her, looking at her. "My aunts and uncles, the ones biologically related to me, are a thousand years old. Even Aunt Freya, though no witches are not immortal. Her past is complicated."

"You said you hadn't activated your vampire side yet. So how old are you?"

"Seventeen" Hope replied. "It's admittedly a bit weird having a family that is a thousand years older than you are."

"I guess it would be. Do you like being what you are?"

Hope's face faltered a bit. "It's complicated" she admitted. "I'm not even sure how to explain it"

"Then don't. Only tell me what you are comfortable telling me"

Hope gave him a small smile. "Werewolves can only turn on a full moon. They age like every other mortal. Witches can do magic but the amount you do can have affects on you. The more powerful the spell, the harder it is to cast. Witches age like everyone else too. Vampires however do not age. Though while they have healing abilities, they can also still die more easily than my aunts and uncles can. Stake through the heart, beheading, ripping the heart out, burning them..." Hope trailed off. "Vampires can compel people. That's basically mind control"

"Is there anything to protect someone from compulsion?"

Hope nodded and stood up, heading out of the room again. She walked into the witchcraft room, hearing Landon follow her inside, and she pulled out some vervain from where they kept it stored. "Here. Keep this on you at all times. I'll give you some liquified vervain to consume if you want. It's safer if its in you because then if a vampire attacked you like that again, the vervain would burn them."

"Thank you" Landon said, taking the herb and slipping it into his jacket pocket. "I noticed you healing earlier"

"I heal quickly. I have my entire life. I guess that's the benefit of always having vampire blood in your veins"

"I'm sure that comes in handy" Landon said, thinking about the faint scars across his body from his foster families.

Hope nodded. "It does have its benefits. There's something else too. My name is not Hope Marshall. It's Hope Mikaelson"

Landon had one hand on her cheek and another on her waist as Hope kept her gaze on his green-gray eyes. She didn't know what she should do but all she thought about was how she felt about him. She didn't know if she leaned into him first or if he pulled her toward him. Maybe both. She felt the brush of his lips, light at first, and her own opened automatically beneath the pressure.Landon slid the hand that was on her cheek under her head, his fingers splayed across the back of her skull

"Hope"he murmured against her lips, not taking his mouth away from hers.

At the sound of her name on his lips, she kissed him again, harder, tugging him closer to her. Her arms were around his waist, closing the distance between them. Landon backed up a little, his back pressing up against the book case as Hope continued to kiss him,. She slipped her hands in the inside of his jacket. They made no moves to separate from one another until the door opened. Hope quickly moved away from Landon, crashing a bit into a table with nothing on it

"Landon" Freya said, surprised. "You're back"

Landon gave a nervous smile towards Freya. "I am. I got bit by a vampire so Hope brought me here to fix me up and explain everything"

"Did she?" Freya questioned, looking over at Hope.

Blush rose in Hope's cheeks, and she nodded. "I did. I was going to have him be compelled, but I changed my mind"

"Landon, would you mind going to watch over Nick in the living room while I talk to Hope?"

"Of course" Landon agreed, glancing between them before heading out of the room

Once the door was shut, Hope let out a sigh. "I know what you're going to say. And I know it is dangerous to have him know who I really am, but I trust him. And yes I'm scared he will end up betraying it like Roman did. But... I trust him. And its really hard for me to trust anyone anymore"

"Actually, I was going to tell you that I am happy that you told him and are letting yourself be with him. I know it is hard for you. Admittedly I do wish you waited a bit longer of spending time with him before telling him everything. But I am glad that you are not pushing him away anymore" Freya said

A small smile formed on Hope's face at Freya's words. "Im glad too. I mean... I'm still worried he's going to get hurt being involved in this. But ... I'm happy."

"I know. I can tell. But for safety purposes, if you're going to make out with him, do it in a room that doesn't have dangerous objects" She chuckled lightly

Hope nodded. "I will" she promised.

"Now come on." Freya said with a smile before leaving the room and going to the living room. "Landon, would you like to stay in one of our guest rooms for the night? It's getting late"

"Oh, thank you, but I... I shouldn't intrude" Landon said, looking at her.

"Nonsense. Have you eaten dinner?"

"No, but I don't need to eat anything" Landon said hurriedly. He had spent far too long being disappointed by people and unwanted. He didn't want to push his welcome by needing to be fed as well.

"Well, if you are hungry, we have some food you can eat. I should put Nick to bed" Freya carried her son upstairs to his room beside hers.

"Are you staying?" Hope asked, watching Landon curiously.

Landon hesitated before finally nodding. "If you don't mind"

"Why would I mind?" Hope questioned, pulling Landon into a kiss She then pulled away. "I do have just one question though"

"Yeah?" Landon looked at her with a smile

"Yeah. Do you want to be my boyfriend?"

"Are you serious?" Landon questioned, looking at her

"Deadly." Hope said seriously as she looked at him.

"Well, it's a big decision. "

" I know. "

"We should probably sleep on it."

"No. Absolutely not."

"Well, in that case, yeah. I'd really like that." Landon said and pressed his lips to hers.

Hope smiled against his lips and tugged him closer, her eyes drifting shut as she happiness washed over her. She was still terrified of losing him. But she didn't think she was capable of walking away from this again. She couldn't break his heart again. And she couldn't shatter her own as well. She was in this, no matter where it led.

--

Freya walked inside her bedroom and walked over to Keelin, who had just gotten ready for bed. She walked over to her wife and kissed her with a smile on her face. Keelin kissed her back, tugging her closer. Finally, Keelin pulled away and looked at Freya. "Is Nick in bed?"

Freya nodded in confirmation. "He is. And we have a guest tonight. Landon Kirby"

"Landon? I thought Hope was avoiding him"

"She was, and now she isn't. Let me get ready for bed, and I'll explain what I know"

Freya smiled a bit, feeling Keelin's lips briefly meet hers. She then went to go get ready for bed. Finally, she joined her wife in bed, taking her blace on the left side as she usually did.

"I went into the room for the witchcraft related items, and I found Hope and Landon making out against the bookshelf" Freya explained to Keelin, whose eyes widened slightly curiously as she listened. "Apparently Landon was attacked by a vampire, so Hope brought him here to heal him up. And somehow he convinced her to tell him the truth about everything"

"So he knows who she truly is?" Keelin questioned, looking at Freya

Freya nodded. "I think so. She didn't seem to want to keep anything from him anymore"

"Well, I am glad that she is no longer pushing him away and opening her heart to someone. I just hope he does not betray her as Roman did." Keelin said, moving closer to her.

"I hope so too. If another love interests betrays her, she may never be willing to open herself up again, and I know she will likely blame herself if anyone gets hurt because of this"

"Do you think he will?"

Freya shook her head. "He seems like a genuinely nice person. Otherwise I wouldn't have offered him to stay the night"

Keelin nodded a bit, and she grab Freya by the waist, pulling her close. Their lips collided, and Freya's eyes closed automatically. Keelin breathed in the familiar scent of her lover and continued kissing her. She loved helping people at work, but she really loved coming home to Freya and Nick and Hope. Keelin continued kissing Freya, moving on top of her, glad she did not tire as easily as a normal human might have after a long day at work.

Freya's fingers reach up to tangle in Keelin's neck. Sh waned to just wrap her arms around her and never let go. All she wanted right now was to be right here with the love of her life.
