A New Beginning

All For One hovers in the sky looking down to the chaos below. The pro-heroes fight against the sea of nomus. Shigaraki cackles as the fire spreads to the top of the buildings.

"Now!" Izuku lunges forward using the black whips to keep Shigaraki in place. "What the-" Izuku activates his smoke mist trailing up black whip encapsulating Shigaraki in place. "All For One! It's over!" Izuku jumps back and forth to build momentum from Fa Jin. He hops in all directions as Grand Torino taught, and from above, Izuku uses float and prepares to deal the final blow with gearshift.

"AHHH!" a voice screams.

'Shigaraki-kun?' Izuku's mind freezes.

'Careful Ninth, this could be one of his tricks,' En warns. The second user scoffs, 'Just finish this!' Izuku travels closer and feels Shigaraki's anguish. His thoughts leak out from All For One.

"Stupid Heroes!" "They ruin everything!" "Pathetic NPC deserves this!" "This world is MINE!" "Die. Die! DIE!" Izuku maneuvers through the insults and threats, but a whisper pierces his ears, "Help me..."

Izuku's heart pounds, "I can't do this. How can I call myself a hero?"

"Ninth! By destroying him you'll be able to save the world!" The third user insists.

Izuku shakes his head, "I won't give up on anyone! There has to be a way to save him. I will save him!"

Izuku bursts into a ball of energy, he bypasses All For One's will and enters Shigaraki's mindscape. A black haze fills as far as the eye can see. 'What is this?' Izuku thinks. Izuku walks forward and new echoes fill the room. "This is all for you." "They think you are a monster." "This is your destiny."

'All For One.' Izuku frowns but continues. A small opening of light disrupts the voices. Izuku follows it to see a young Shigaraki, or rather Tenko Shimura. His hair black covers his right eye standing in front of him, Nana Shimura. She offers her hand out to him, "Tenko-kun it's me, Grandma. Your family."

Dismembered hands come out from the ground grabbing Shigaraki's feet, and throat. He shies away, throat straining, "I have no family. I KILLED them. I'm a monster!" His voice pushes Nana back. "A monster!" "A monster!" "A monster!" The choirs of hands whisper and chant.

"No!" Izuku steps closer, but the hands drag him down. The hands pull away Izuku's hero suit, but he marches forward. Izuku's hero suit turns into his UA uniform and the hands pull out his quirk.

"Useless Deku!" "Quirkless Deku!" "Useless Deku!" "Quirkless Deku!" The hands taunt. "You're nothing without One For All!"

Izuku flinches, now in his middle school uniform, but ignores them, and walks closer to Shigaraki. Breaking their grasp he finally makes it to Shigaraki, but turns into a small child. Izuku leans over, "Shigaraki-kun. Your quirk..."

The young Tenko flinches and covers his head. Izuku continues, "Your quirk isn't evil. You are not destined to be something you're not. You're not a monster. You're not a villain." Tenko snaps his head up and looks into Izuku's eyes. The hands pull Izuku away from him, but he persists.

"It's true. Things happen that can't be changed, but... you are here. I see you!" The raven haired boy looks up at Izuku and slowly gets up, a glimmer of hope in his eyes. "And... I will save you!"

Izuku breaks free from the hand and runs up to Tenko. He hugs him tightly in a powerful embrace. Tenko's eyes widen and the darkness of his mindscape shatters. Each shard is a memory of Izuku. "Izuku..."

The members of the One For All combine together energies to form a sphere knocking All For One out of Shigaraki. All For One's spirit leaves through Shigaraki's mouth forming a black cloud in the sky.

Shigaraki blinks and sees Izuku hugging him, "Izuku?" He asks in confusion. Izuku's eyes shoot up in shock, but he smiles, "Shigaraki-kun... you're free."

All For One chuckles from the clouds, "Do you really think that'll be able to defeat me? Congratulations hero, all you have done is added another corpse to be disintegrated!" All For One's storm clouds begin to swirl into a tornado. The winds fire lightning, shooting out in all directions. With the flash, a silhouette of inside a protective dome, shows All For One's physical form taking shape.

Izuku holds Shigaraki closer, and looks down to nod at Aizawa on the ground. The others, UA and pro heroes, fight the army of nomus in the city. Izuku glances at his surroundings and activates his black whip. He repels them both on top of a damaged building.

Shigaraki stares up at the dome, "He's pulling in more power." The debris around them floats into the air. Izuku pulls out his phone and hits send. After a second, his phone chimes and Izuku reads the text, "We're ready."

Izuku inhales and exhales, "Shigaraki-kun, you've been through enough. Rest up here, okay?"

Shigaraki scoffs and pulls Izuku's collar close to him, "Tough luck, hero. I'm not some mindless NPC. So whatever you're planning I'm in."

Izuku can't help, but to grin at the fire in Shigaraki's eyes. "Alright, but be careful. I just got you back."

Shigaraki scoffs, "What? Don't underestimate me..."

Izuku uses black whip and pulls it back, like a slingshot pointing to the center of All For One's dome. "Hold on tight." Shigaraki stands beside him putting his arm around Izuku's shoulders. Izuku secures him by holding onto his waist. They walk back, stretching black whip and slingshot their way into the air. Izuku uses the smoke quirk leaving a trail.

"That's the signal!" Iida points.

Todoroki and Bakugo nod at each other. Todoroki forms a tower of ice and uses his flames at the base. The water begins to boil creating steam. The top of the ice explodes sending Bakugo up into the air. Bakugo grins and points his hands to a small shield.

"DIEEEE!" He uses AP explosions to shoot up the shield higher into the sky. Ururaka and Iida open the shield and hover. Ururaka reveals Eri from behind her back on her back.

"It's up to you Eri-chan I believe you!" Eri nods and takes a deep breath. Her horn grows larger and twists majestically. Eri cries out and activates her quirk pouring her powers into a mechanical orb. Ururaka throws out more orbs and suspends them in the air. With the orb full Eri screams. Iida kicks, causing gusts of wind to send the orbs in all directions. Power overfills the orbs, breaking them. Its contents wash over all the nomus reverting them back into humans. All ties formed between All For One and his victims break. Below the pro heroes and the rest of UA protect the people or save them from falling.

"What?!" All For One yells, watching his nomu army fail.

Izuku and Shigaraki burst through the clouds and dive down. "They did it!" He sighs in relief.

Izuku looks at the dome, 'More debris is protecting him, how are we going to destroy-' Izuku glances down, "Shigaraki-kun. Would you lend me your power?"

Shigaraki follows Izuku's finger pointing to All For One's dome. He laughs, "Of course, you'll come up with a crazy idea." Shigaraki lets go of Izuku and straight towards All For One's defenses.

"All For One! I am nobody's puppet!" Using all five fingers Shigaraki decays the debris and penetrates through All For One's barrier.

The voices of One For All whisper overlapping each other. "Ready to give it all you got?" En asks. "Kid, let's finish this!" Banjo grins "Izuku, I'm with you," Shinomori puts his hand up. "Ninth, we are one." Yoichi adds.

Izuku's body begins to glow and all the spirits of One For All leave him and surround his hand. All the hands flash and turn into one. "One For All! United World..."

All the users speak in unison "SMASH!" Izuku punches All For One sending sparks and shock waves all-around.

"Is that all you got?!" All For One yells blocking the attack.

'This isn't enough?! I have to go beyond this... Everything I have to give!' Izuku's whole body trembles and powers from deep within travel to his hand.

"PLUS ULTRA!" The punch lands.

"NOOOOOO!" All For One screeches. Then his exterior explodes into nothingness. The power aftershock hit Izuku with full impact.

A beam breaks gray clouds and the sunlight shines through down below. Everything in the world is silent. Shigaraki opens his eyes, he sees All For One nowhere in sight, "Heh, he did it."

A peculiar green haired body falls past Shigaraki plummeting towards the ground. "Izuku!" Shigaraki reaches out his hand, but a piece of debris flies in between them. He accidentally decays it with his quirk,"Damn it!"

Izuku falls faster. Shigaraki tears off his red cape and ties his ring finger and pinky together. He nose dives closer to Izuku and wraps his arm around him. Shigaraki holds Izuku into his chest protecting his head.

'Now what?!' he internally yells. Shigaraki scans the area and angles himself towards what's left of the building. Then extends out his other hand. With all five fingers he disintegrates the building into soft rubble. Shigaraki tightens his hold on Izuku bracing for impact. They hit the top of the pile. Their body tumbles down the hill of ashes and debris landing at the base. Shigaraki maneuvers his body to make sure that Izuku lands on top of him.

Shigaraki groans, his ears ringing and vision blurred. He shakes off his dizziness and looks into his arms. "Izuku? Izuku!"

Izuku coughs in pain, his entire body damaged, bruised, burned, and aching.

"Hey!" Shigaraki nudges.

Izuku slowly blinks, his eyes half opened, "Eh... Shigaraki... kun?" His words slur. Izuku looks up to him and smiles. "You're okay... you're warm..." Izuku inhales Shigaraki's chest.

Shigaraki turns bright red, "W-what? I-I think you have a concussion."

Izuku hugs him tighter, "Oh, before I forget, thanks for..." Izuku's eyes close.

"Hey, Izuku? Izuku!" The sounds of sirens fill the air as pro heroes rush to find survivors. Annoyed by the loud noises, Izuku snuggles closer to Shigaraki.

"Midoriya..." "Izuku.." "Izuku!"

"Shigaraki-kun?" Izuku blinks then shoots open. "Oh!"

All the One For All holders surround Izuku in their meeting room.

"Looks like you did it," the second looks away.

Izuku smiles and shakes his head, "We did it. Every single person who didn't give up was crucial to our victory."

"Heh, sure hero." The third chuckles.

The spirits of One For All fickler.

"Are you all alright?! What should I do-"

"Izuku. Don't worry." En eyes soften.

"One For All is a gift for all and now it has done its job. All For One and One For All shouldn't have been used the way it was." Yoichi explains. The spirits blink in and out of existence. Yoichi turns to them all and smiles, "But I am glad I was able to meet all of you."

Izuku nods then bows "Me too!"

Shinomori sighs, "All of the quirks in One For All will disappear, so use them sparingly."

"If I could give you my quirk I would. I don't need it where I'm going!" Banjo laughs at his joke.

"Izuku, all you have done for Tenko, for my family, thank you." Shimura hugs Izuku.

Izuku's vision gets clouded with tears, "It doesn't end there I will always be there for him from now forward!"

She chuckles lightly. The One For All spirits fade faster and they all smile. "Hey, how bout one for the road?"

"This is stupid," the third reply.

But does place his hand in with the rest. All hands together, "3, 2, 1. One for All!" They raise their hand up and completely fade. A bright light fills the whole room.

"Young Midoriya."

"...All Might?" Izuku looks to the left, his arm hooked to the IV and heart monitor beeping lightly. His right hand is held by All Might.

"My boy. Glad to finally see you awake. You have been asleep for about four days."

Izuku sits up, but cringes at his pain. All Might lays him back down, "Easy now."

Izuku nods, "Is everyone okay?"

All Might chuckles, "Well, why don't you ask them yourself." All Might opens the hospital door and Izuku's friends immediately fall through.

"Eh? Guys?"

"Izuku-kun!" "Midoriya!" "Deku-kun!" Everyone yells at one running towards him. "I am so glad you're okay!" Ururaka cries. "I was so worried you won't wake up!" Hagakure sniffs. "Never scare us like that again." Tokoyami tries to remain calm. An overload of screams and tears fill the room.

Izuku's head spins, "I- Umm-"

Bakugo shoots explosions to silence the crowd. "SHUT UP, YOU FUCKIN' EXTRAS! That goddamn nerd just woke up! So he doesn't need your loud yappering!"

"Bakugo, you are the one being loud..." Todoroki stares.

"You wanna go Half-and-Half bastard?!"

Todoroki ignores Bakugo and walks up to Izuku, "Hello Midoriya."

"Todoroki-kun," Izuku smiles.

"How are you feeling?"

"Good, good! I am so glad to see everyone! Although... I guess it is a bit chilly here..."

"Oh," Todoroki places his hand on Izuku's cheek and uses his quirk.

"Mmh... Todoroki, that feels nice..."

"That's not fair!" Mina yells. "Yeah!" Sero pumps his hand in agreement. "Todoroki-kun, quit hogging Midoriya-kun!" Mineta points.

Todoroki tilts his head to the side. "I don't know what you mean." Todoroki puts his other hand on Izuku. Izuku closes his eyes.

"Hey!" Many say in unison. The group starts to get riled up-

"Huh, so he is awake." Aizawa interrupts walking along with Shinsou and Eri.

"Aizawa-sensei? And Shinsou-kun?"

"Izuku-nii!" Eri runs up to Izuku and holds his hand.

"Eri-chan," Izuku smiles at her and pats her head.

"I'd figure you'll like to know what you missed. Many who were nomus, were found and are all being cared for. Also those who had the 'connection' to Afo have lined up for treatment. The pro heroes and UA have begun reconstruction of the city. After the battle many civilians have also stepped up to the plate."

"That's wonderful," Izuku smiles.

Aizawa stands behind Eri and smiles slightly, "It is," he gently ruffles Izuku's hair.

"Oh, um, Sensei?"

"Yes?"

"What about Shigaraki-kun and the League?"

Aizawa pauses and stares at Izuku before responding, "We found you and Shigaraki together after the battle. He is currently in our penitentiary under observation. The locations of the other members from League of Villains are unknown."

"I see..." Izuku looks back at the ceiling. 'Shigaraki-kun... He smelled like-'

"Midoriya," Izuku turns to Shinsou. "After your recovery, you'd be surprised by my skills. Hero Class, hope none of you are slacking."

"Ha! Just try to beat us!"

"We won't give up our spot so easily."

Izuku laughs then turns to Shinsou "Well, actually Shinsou-kun there will be an open spot, because I won't be in the Hero course next year."

... Pause.

"WHAT?!" The room screams.

Aizawa squeezes Izuku's head, "Ow, ow, ow, ow..." Izuku mumbles.

"Explain yourself, problem child," he scowls.

"Aizawa-sensei! You're squeezing Midoriya-kun too hard!" Iida panics. Aizawa let's go.

"...So, you see. After All For One's defeat the powers of One For All are fading."

"Are you saying your quirk is gone? Kero." Tsuyu asks.

"Well, not gone yet, but..."

"It's like what happened to All Might?" Kirishima concludes.

Izuku nods.

"It's like water reserves and once all the water is gone that's it." All Might explains.

"Yes, so I won't need my spot. It would be better used for someone developing to be the next heroes." Izuku sadly smiles.

"...So what do you plan to do, mon ami?" Aoyama breaks the tension.

"Well, I might join the support class or general class. I don't intend on leaving UA anytime soon."

"So will I be able to see you more?" Eri looks up with hope.

"Of course! I'll visit you everyday!" Izuku smiles at Eri.

"Well, that's not fair!" Kaminari shouts.

Jiro hits him on the shoulder, "Don't be jealous of a kid!" The room burst into laughter.

Izuku's smile slightly fades, "I also want to help with the reconstruction and help those who were hurt by All For One. I want them to know though they did play a part in it. It's not their fault, and if they truly want to change they still can."

Todoroki glances over to Aizawa noticing Bakugo doing the same. The three of them tense up, "Midoriya, are you talking about-"

"Izuku!"

"Mom!" She runs through the door and hugs her son. "I am so glad you're awake!" she begins to tear up and Izuku joins her.

All Might claps his hand "Alright! We'll let the two of you have some privacy." Izuku's friends nod and wave goodbye slowly exiting the room.

"Izuku, how are you feeling?" Inko places her hand on Izuku's cheek and smiles with tears dripping from her eyes.

"I'm feeling good, mom. I have so much to tell you." Izuku goes on about the battle, the aftermath, the meeting with One For All users, and everything else. She listens gleefully.
