"I'll cut it later," he said. "I'll make sure it doesn't get too long," he said. "No, I'm not growing it out, I'll trim it soon," he said. "It's not that long, you're seeing things," he said.

Well, Hitoshi was a big fat liar and Izuku was about to prove it to him.
And he got Eri to help him.

He waited patiently until his boyfriend, as per usual, fell asleep after trying to follow whatever plot Magical Girl Defender Teddies! had, watching the show along with a little horned girl, and he struck.

"Hey Eri, did you bring the suitcase?" he asked in his business tone.

Eri looked at him seriously and nodded, before tip-toeing to the corner of the living room and pulling out a pink Nyan Cat suitcase. She brought it to him, all business, and opened it dramatically, showing row after row of various barrettes, clasps, and hair ties.

All blue, purple or pink.

All covered in every household's greatest enemy—glitter.

Izuku smirked and ruffled Eri's hair, causing her to giggle.

"Time to get to work." And they did.

In half an hour Hitoshi's long mane was covered with Eri's hair thingies, making it look… interesting. Izuku took a few stray strands and started making them into a braid, and then another and another… and before he noticed Eri started taking some of the previously used things away, letting Izuku make more braids, while she made the current ones prettier and more glistening.

Izuku was very invested in the act, especially since even while sleeping Hitoshi was very responsive. He followed his hand like a cat wanting to be petted, made sleepy non-commitive noises, and groaned appreciatively whenever Eri or Izuku untangled a knot.

Damn, if Izuku knew Hitoshi liked his hair touched that much he would have done that a lot earlier.

Maybe without the glitter though. It was beginning to cling everywhere, but hey, at least Eri had fun.

After another hour or so they were done. Hitoshi's entire hair was a mix of braids, ties, and colorful clips. Izuku stifled a giggle and make a few photos. (He sent them to cloud in case Hitoshi tried to delete them.)

He was pocketing his phone when Hitoshi groaned in a telltale way of 'I'm getting up and I better not be disturbed'.
He blinked the sleep away and froze, before touching his hair, patting it down a few times and bringing one of the braids to his face so he could see it.

"What the f—" He momentarily remembered that Eri was nearby and shut up, looking between them both like he didn't know what to say. Finally he put an empty, plastic smile on his face and whispered "This is fine."

Izuku couldn't help it, he burst out laughing and so did Eri.

They refused to help Hitoshi get it out of his hair for four hours afterward.
