Hello and welcome to Rwby and the Tomb world! this is my second fan fiction. it is set in volume four except for the fact that the fall of beacon never happened. this prologue is set in volume 3. Enjoy!
Cinder fall, one of four generals of Salem's faction was instructed to investigate a strange tomb, of course, she sent her lackeys to do her job for her. Roman Torchwick and Neopolitan were the two she chose. Neither of them wanted to do the mission but had no choice as it was either this or the two of them would be barbecued. The two arrived at the entrance with about 20 or so White Fang troops.
Roman: This is it, you there! *points to random goon* open it!
The goon reluctantly walked to the tomb's door as it opened by itself. Suddenly, millions of flying spider like creatures rushed out of the tomb and flew into the distance. Roman sent a transmission to Cinder to come over to inspect as well. Of course, Cinder came with Salem as they all entered the tomb.
Salem: This is most intriguing, I've never seen anything like it.
The tomb's walls had holes shaped like coffins all over the tomb. At the end of the tomb were three coffins sitting upwards with three robotic like skeletons in each.
Salem: This is what we are looking for.
Roman: Which is?
Salem: Szarekh, the last Silent King.
Cinder: So the legends are true?
Roman: What legends?
Cinder: The legend of the NecronTier tells of a civilisation who sold their souls for immortality to the gods known as the C'tan.
Salem: The Necrons rebelled against the C'tan and used most of them as power sources for their machines of death and destruction. Other gods acted as titans for their armies. The central coffin holds Szarekh, the leader of the Necrons.
Roman: And we need him because…?
Salem: He will help us bring Remnant to its knees.
Salem arrived at a terminal as she activated it. The three central coffins lit up green as the robots inside of them came to life and got out. Well… at least the two Necrons at the sides of Szarekh himself.
Szarekh: Who wakes us from our eternal slumber?
Salem: I am Salem, the one who awoke you. I only ask for your allegiance in bringing this world to its Knees.
Szarekh: I will do so much more than bring it to its knees. This world's core is enough to power my Titan Scythe! All I need to do is destroy its inhabitants.
Szarekh reached for his staff right beside his coffin and pointed it at Salem.
Salem: You can't kill me, we are the same, Immortal.
Szarekh shot a blast of green energy turning Salem into nothing but ash.
Roman, Cinder and Neo saw this and immediately ran ordering the henchman to stay and hold them off.
Szarekh: NECRONS! RISE FROM YOUR TOMBS AND REJOICE! WE ARE AWOKEN ONCE MORE AND WILL BRING THE LEGIONS OF THE NECRONS TO THEIR FORMER GLORY ONCE AGAIN!
Every coffin lit up as Necrons of different variances activated and began to fire at the White Fang henchmen. Soon all henchmen were nothing but ash.
After Salem's death, The Grimm became weaker. Hunters and Huntresses who fought Grimm were now able to kill the Grimm with ease. The order of Salem was disbanded as its members went into hiding after the release of Szarekh. Only Cinder remained loyal and continued Salem's legacy. She entered Roman's Room to discuss what to do next and was shocked at what she saw.
Cinder: Where do you think you're going?
Roman: Well, me and Neo are going into hiding.
Cinder: What do you mean hiding?
Roman: Simple, the Necrons are probably hunting down every last general of Salem. Me and Neo don't want to die at this stage of our lives so we are leaving.
Cinder: And where will you even go?
Roman: I don't know and I don't care, as long as it's far away from you.
Without another word, Roman Grabbed his suitcase, cane and hat and walked past Cinder and out the Room, leaving Cinder on her own.
Neo: Where to?
Roman had arrived to the airship, Neo was already in the pilot's seat ready to take off.
Roman: Safe house 23, it's far and well hidden.
Neo: Copy that.
Their airship took off and made it halfway to their safe house within half an hour until it was by a fireball.
Neo: Roman we are going down!
Roman: Cinder isn't even behind us! Her accuracy is too good!
Neo: Brace for impact!
The ship crashed leaving Roman unconscious and Neo awake in a burst of pain. She dragged Roman to the safe house nearby as well as all their stuff and then used her semblance to turn their crashed airship invisible. Roman still hadn't woken up and was in a coma like state. Neo had no choice but to wait for him to wake up.
Szarekh and his Necron legion had turned the tomb into a Necron Monolith. This base would be used to construct more Necrons to strengthen their numbers. He had also created a Necron known as a Hexmark Destroyer along with two Cryptothrails.
Szarekh: Imospekh, I task you with finding the one they call Cinder Fall, Find her and END HER!
The three-legged and six-armed robot sped of along with his two melee followers to find who Szarekh was looking for. Nothing would stand in his way. No one would try and stop him. Except for Ruby Rose who had yet to find out about Szarekh and the Necrons.
