Episode 106: Around the Whirlpool
Sailing in a large boat to the Whirl Island, Mew and her friends decide to have a little celebration of Mew earning her Storm Badge, and being able to make new friends.
Mew looks at her badges, "Now we've each got five badges. Only three more to go and I'll finally be competing in the Johto League championship."
"Pika," (Yeah.) Pikachu says.
"Eevee," (We're getting close.) Eevee says.
"And what about all those new water Pokémon? I could just hear them all calling out my name," Misty says, and shouts with pride, "Yes! They've heard about what a great water Pokemon master I am!"
"Uh, excuse me. Would you mind telling us when you became a water Pokémon master?" Mew asks, confused.
"Oh, the smaller details don't really matter, Mew," Misty says.
Just then, Brock notices, "Hey, check out those whirlpools!"
"Whirlpools?" Jen questions.
Everyone looks and sees not one, but multiple whirlpools in the water. The boat continues to sail right towards and through the whirlpools.
"They're everywhere!" Tomo says, shocked.
"Think we'll be okay?" Brock asks.
"I hope so," Mew says.
Molly hugs Mew's leg, "I'm scared."
"Don't worry Molly, I'm sure we'll be alright," Misty reassures.
Everyone starts to worry, until someone offers a drink.
"There's no need to worry about a thing," A familiar woman's voice asks.
"Please, have some refreshments on the house," A familiar man's voice says.
Mew and Misty take their drinks.
"Oh, thanks," Misty says.
The maid says, "The captain of this sightseeing liner happens to be, one of the most experienced and knowledgeable men to sail on the high seas."
"And this magnificent ship has been engineered from top to bottom for your total safety, allowing you to gaze at the whirlpools in peace," The male employee says.
"Well, okay," Brock says.
"Sure is a long way down, huh guys," Tomo says.
"Loetta," (A long way down.) Meloetta says.
"Skwovet Skwovet," (And into those whirlpools.) Skwovet adds.
"Do you think the ship's safe?
Soon, Meowth shows up, "Now!"
And it doesn't take long to realize that the one serving the drinks is Team Rocket.
James brings out the net, "Okay, twerps, That should be enough of the warm and fuzzy routine, time to get down to business.
"They still don't suspect a thing," Jessie whispers, "
"Come to papa," James says, as he hovers the net over Pikachu.
Suddenly, the ship gets caught by one of the whirlpools, causing Mew to lose her balance and gets caught in the net instead of Pikachu, who slowly slides away on the railing.
"Pika?" (A net?) Pikachu cries out.
"Eevee?" (What the) Eevee adds, shocked.
"What's going on?" Everyone else replies, confused.
"Looks like James…" Jessie says.
"Got bad aim," Meowth adds.
Mew takes the net off of her and demands, "Hey, what's the big idea?!"
And with that, Team Rocket begin to perform their motto, again.
Jessie:
Prepare for trouble, one lump or two?
James:
We'll make it double just for you!
Jessie: (and pours drinks into the cups James has on a tray)
To protect the world from devastation,
James:
To unite all peoples within our nation!
Jessie: (puts sugar cubs in the cups)
To denounce the evils of truth and love,
James: (Stir the drink with a spoon)
To extend our reach to the stars above.
Jessie: (removing her disguise)
HA! Jessie!
James: (removing his disguise)
HA! James!
Jessie:
Team Rocket, taking a well deserved coffee break at the speed of light.
James:
So surrender now while we sip, or we'll be forced to fight!
Meowth:
WOBBUFFET!
(realizes what he said)
Hey... dat's right!
Wobbuffet:
WOBBUFFET!
(That is right!)
"Team Rocket!" Everyone cries out.
"Brilliant deduction, twerps," Jessie says.
"And you know what we came for!" James says.
"And don't tink we're gonna let you get away after all we went trough sneaking aboard!" Meowth adds.
The group becomes dumbfounded.
"Sneaking onboard?" Misty questions.
"You mean you're stowaways?" Jen questions
Jessie turns to James, "Now, come to think of it, James, what stowaways get their own private wing on a vessel like this?"
"Oh, not to worry. These luxury liners always have room for travelers who plan their vacations somewhat late," James says.
And then Jessie says, "You know, James, I was thinking, and you'd agree, I'd really prefer a stateroom with an ocean view."
"We could go with three separate rooms," James replies.
Then Meowth gets between them, "Can't we just go back to being da bad guys? And stealing dat Pikachu and Eevee?"
"WOOOO." (Sure.) Wobbuffet says.
Soon, Mew and her friends begin walking away from Team Rocket.
"So, they're a bunch of stowaways," Misty says.
"We can't be seen with you," Tomo says.
"Yeah," Jen says.
"I agree. It's a bad influence for Molly," Mew says.
"We're outta here," Brock says.
However, Team Rocket is not planning on letting them leave.
"Oh, no you're not!" Jessie says and throws her Pokeball "Arbok, I choose you!"
James throws his Pokeball as well, "Weezing, get in there, too!"
Both Pokemon come out of the Pokeballs and are ready to fight.
Jessie calls out, "Poison Sting attack!"
"Smog attack, Weezing!" James says.
Both Pokemon launch the attack, catching the group's attention.
"Looks like your ship sailed without you," Jessie says.
"So hand over that Pikachu and Eevee, and pronto!" James says.
"Or you'll have a long walk off a short pier," Meowth says and chuckles.
"We'll just see about that!" Mew says, "Now, Pikachu, Thunderbolt!"
Pikachu launches the attack
Jessie calls out the attack, "Wobbuffet, get out there and use a Counter attack!"
Wobbuffet begins to use the attack and reflects the attack. However, when the attack is reflects the electricity, it causes a huge explosion, sending Mew and her friends overboard and falling into the water while Team Rocket is sent blasting off.
Soon, Mew and the others resurface to find the ship sailing away with them.
"Now what are we gonna do?" Misty asks.
"We sure can't stay here," Brock says.
Tomo calls out, "Come back!"
Molly calls out, "Please!"
"You gotta help us!" Jen cries out.
"They can't hear us, guys," Mew says.
"And we're getting…" but before Misty can finish, everyone starts to get pulled towards a whirlpool.
"Oh no…!" Tomo cries out.
"We're gonna get sucked in by the whirlpool!" Brock cries out.
"What are we going to do?!" Jen asks.
"Looks like now's the time for water Pokémon!" Misty says.
Misty then calls out Poliwhirl, Goldeen, and Magikarp
"Yeah. We need their help," Mew says.
Mew then calls out Totodile, Shiny Feebas, and Dratini. Totodile soon begins dancing.
Mew rolls her eyes, "Come on, Totodile. Now's not the right time to dance."
Soon, all the Pokemon start pulling the group away from the whirlpool.
"Hang in there, Goldeen, Poliwhirl, Magikarp," Misty says.
"You can do it," Mew says.
However, the current proves to be stronger than they thought as they're pulled back in.
"Oh no!" Jen cries out
"The current's too strong!" Brock panics.
"We're gonna get sucked in!" Mew cries out.
Suddenly, a shadowy figure swims under them along with a strange sound that is very familiar to Mew. Soon, the currents are pulling them away from the whirlpool.
"The current's changed!" Brock says.
Then the shadow passed under them again.
"You guys see what I just saw?" Tomo asks, surprised.
"I think so," Molly says.
"It looks like a Pokemon," Jen says.
"You're right…" Mew says, and realizes, "I've seen that shape before. Back at Shamouti Island!"
Misty soon realizes herself, "You're right. It looks like the Lugia we met back on the Orange Islands."
"Must be," Brock says, but then says, "But what's coming now?"
The group looks to see something speeding towards them.
"Get ready, everyone," Mew says.
The Pokemon nods in reply.
The Pokemon swims closer to reveal a small, pink, roundish Anthozoan Pokémon with branch-like growths on its back, which are similar to coral. There is a smaller, blunt horn on its forehead, and it has black, oval eyes. It has a light-blue underside, which speckles towards the sides. Its four legs and two arms are blunt and stubby.
"It looks like, it's a Corsola!" Brock says, surprised.
The Corsola starts circling around the gang.
"Why is it circling around us?" Misty asks.
Suddenly, something grabs on to everyone.
"Something's underneath us!" Tomo panics.
"What is it?!" Jen asks.
"Those are Tentacruel tentacles!" Mew says.
Soon, the Corsola leads the way, while the Tentacruel carries them away.
"What's it doing?" Molly asks.
"I think they're saving us," Mew says.
Misty happily says, "Alright! There's nothing more comforting than having a strong Tentacruel around!"
"Pika Pika," (I so agree, Misty.) Sparkle says.
Soon enough, the Pokemon lead the group to a boat. Corsola then leaps out of the water and into its trainer's arms.
The man says, "Good work, Corsola. I trust you're alright." And the trainer reveals to be Professor Elm, "But, wait! I know you all!"
Everyone is surprised to hear it, "Professor Elm!"
Soon, everyone aboard the boat Professor Elm is in and tells him of their adventures.
Professor Elm is impressed, "Outstanding! Five badges already. It's been a long time since we last met.
Corsola leaps onto Professor Elm's lap.
"Of course. You're thirsty, too," Professor Elm says, giving Corosla the drink.
Corsola takes a drink of what the professor's drinking
"Awe. That's so cute," Misty replies.
Then Brock asks, "So I take it that that's your Corsola, Professor Elm?"
"Yes," Professor Elm says, "I caught it while doing research during my stay here, right in the Whirl Islands."
"Let's see," Mew says, and takes her Pokedex.
Dexter says, "Corsola, the Coral Pokémon. A combination of both water and rock types, it sheds and regrows the horns on its head numerous times."
"It's adorable!" Misty happily says, "I'll have to catch one, too!"
"Lucky for you that it swam by when it did and saw you were having a bit of trouble," Professor Elm says.
"Thank you so much, Corsola," Misty says.
"Thank you," Molly happily says.
Then Professor Elm says, "And the remainder of your rescue is due to the experience of the ship's captain, Marius! There isn't another captain alive who's as familiar with these seas as Marius! Even these large whirlpools are nothing to be afraid of, in fact, the Tentacruel that helped you belongs to Marius."
Soon, someone walks down the ladder. A man with brushed back black hair, light tan skin, wears a blue shirt, and a brown vest.
He turns his head and says, "Enough talk, Professor. Why don't we give these folks a chance to rest up a bit after the experience they just had?"
"Yes, you're absolutely right. Let me introduce you," The professor says, and turns to the group, "This is Captain Marius himself."
"Glad you're safe," Marius says.
"I'm Mew, it's nice to meet you," Mew says.
"My name's Misty," Misty says.
"My name's Brock," Brock says.
"I'm Tomo," Tomo says.
"My name is Jen," Jen says.
"And I'm Molly," Molly happily says.
Later, the ship is seen heading towards an island. Mew and the others look out to see the place.
"Wow. Look at that," Tomo says.
"What's the name of the island, Professor Elm?" Brock asks.
"That's the entry point to the Whirl Islands, Blue Point Isle," Professor Elm says.
"Blue Point Isle," Mew replies.
The Pokemon replies with interest.
"Ancient seamen named it for that large blue rock, which would guide them safely into port at the end of a long journey," Professor Elm says.
Later on, everyone departs from the boat and finds the city they have docked at to be nicely decorated.
"So this is Inland City, the largest port city on the Blue Point Isle. Well, it's really uh…" Brock says.
"Yeah it certainly is…" Mew says.
"Pikachu," (Quite cheerful.) Pikachu says.
"Amaura," (and festive.) Amaura says.
"Colorful," Misty says.
"Like a Smeargle exploded," Tomo replies.
"It's the Whirl Cup," Marius says.
"Whirl Cup?" Jen asks.
"What's the Whirl Cup, Marius?" Mew asks.
"It's a competition that's held once every three years where water Pokemon trainers battle for top honor," Professor Elm answers.
This piques Misty's interest, "Is that true?! A water Pokémon competition?!"
"Although the competition doesn't begin for another month. Preparations are well underway," Professor Elm says.
"You can count me in! I know I just got to enter!" Misty says, excited.
Meanwhile, at another end of the dock, Team Rocket comes out of the water and onto land.
"I'm sure I must have swallowed at least half of that wretched sea," James says.
"After six gallons and three Goldeens, who's counting?" Jessie replies.
"Last time I'm taking a cruise," Meowth says.
But soon, he spots Mew and her my feline eyes deceive me? Or are dose...?"
"The twerps?" James questions, and spots them.
He then gets up, "You're right, Meowth! Let's go show them who we are!"
Jessie stands up, "Yes! We're waterlocked and malnourished, but that never stopped Team Rocket!"
"Wobbuffet!" (I'm hungry.) Wobbuffet says.
Then Meowth asks, "Can we show them who we are after lunch?"
Team Rocket sighs because they know they're starving.
Later on, Mew and the others, along with Professor Elm and Marius arrive at the Pokemon Center.
Nurse Joy says, "Hi. Welcome to Blue Point Isle. You all must be here to register for the Whirl Cup."
Chansey comes in and gives Mew a book.
Mew takes the book and asks, "What's this?"
"But sure you read cover to cover. All the rules and regulations you'll need are in the competition rule book," Nurse Joy explains.
Then Brock comes in, "NURSE JOY! YOU RULE IN MY BOOK!"
Corsola jumps off of Elm's arms and runs off.
"Hey, where's Corsola going?" Misty wonders.
"Not to worry," Professor Elm reassures, "Corsola's just going out to the swimming pool over there. The pool is connected to the bay, so the Pokemon can really swim back and forth, and visit their aquatic friends whenever they want to."
Everyone looks outside to see the pool full of water Pokemon
"That's awesome! I've never seen so many water Pokémon," Misty says, impressed.
"And they've traveled here with their trainers from all different parts of the world to compete in the Whirl Cup," Nurse Joy says, "They've come here early to help their Pokémon get acclimated, since the climate varies from island to island."
"Wow, that's a great idea," Mew says.
Soon, Mew and Misty are registering themselves for the Whirl Cup.
"Everything's in order. Thank you, your Whirl Cup registration is complete. You're good to go," Nurse Joy says.
"Thank for all your help, Nurse Joy," Mew says.
"Now all we have to do is get out there and win the Whirl Cup," Misty happily says.
But soon notices, "Hold on. Do you know where Brock is?"
"Oh, he's right over there with that trainer," Professor Elm says, pointing to the location.
The group turns to see Brock talking to another trainer.
"So, in your opinion, the most important aspect of water Pokémon care is keeping a consistent moisture level?" Brock asks.
"That's right," The trainer says, "With land dwelling Pokémon, it's very important to brush their fur regularly. But for water Pokémon to maintain their health, energy and their ability to battle, their skin must always be kept moist."
Soon, Marius walks up and asks, "Have you have finished your registration so you can compete in the Whirl Cup?"
"My real interest is in Pokemon breeding, much like Mugi. So while I'm here, I'm learning as much as I can about the methods of breeding water Pokémon," Brock says.
"That's fascinating," Marius says, "And what about your friends over there, Misty and Mew?"
"Misty loves and collects water Pokémon and Mew's dream is to become a Pokémon master. Tomo and Jen are also traveling with us and training with us. Molly also wants to travel with us. The rest of us are traveling together," Brock explains
"You're together yet each of you has your own dream. I think that's great, just fantastic," Marius says, taking an interest.
Meanwhile, everyone is looking out at the pool with Professor Elm.
"And since the Whirl Cup almost completely focuses almost completely on various matches between water Pokémon, most trainers here specialize solely in that," Professor Elm says.
"This is gonna be a lot harder than I thought," Mew says.
"This is exactly where I'm meant to be!" Misty says with full determination, "And one day soon, the entire civilized world, including my sisters, shall have the privilege of witnessing my true identity! Pokémon master!"
"Well, you're not a Water Pokemon Master yet," Tomo says.
Anyway, where's the Whirl Cup gonna be?" Mew asks.
"Red Rock Isle," Professor Elm says.
Everyone soon sees a map of the Whirl Islands.
Professor Elm explains, "Here, you can see all the Whirl Islands. And we're located here, on the southernmost island. Blue Point Isle."
"Looks like we're on the biggest one," Jen says.
"You see, most of the Whirl Islands are divided between these four islands. Aside from Blue Point, there's Yellow Rock, Red Rock, and Silver Rock Isle," Professor Elm explains.
"But the Whirl Cup takes place on Red Rock Isle, right?" Misty replies, and gets excited, "I can hardly wait to go there."
Professor Elm then says, "There are qualifying round prior to the finals that will narrow down the field of entries."
"There are qualifying rounds?" Mew asks.
"And the one who finally makes it through each and every challenge to victory, shall be give the prestigious title of Water Pokémon Alpha-Omega," Professor Elm says.
"'Water Pokémon Alpha-Omega,' I like the sound of it," Misty says.
Then Professor Elm explains, "Legend has it that long ago, expert water Pokémon trainers were known by that very name. It is also told that they lived under the sea and understood the hearts of water Pokémon.
Little do our heroes know that, as the professor talks, Team Rocket is watching from afar.
"Aha. I see. It appears that all these Pokémon are extremely well-trained for batting," Jessie says.
"Which means there must be oodles of Pokémon to pilfer!" James says.
"Den, hop to it, troops, an' let's roll!" Meowth says.
Later at Captain Marius' boat, Mew and her friends walk over.
"Professor Elm?" Mew replies.
Prof. Elm turns to the group, "Yes, what is it, kids?"
"There's something we like to ask you about," Brock says.
Hmm?" Marius and Prof. Elm replies.
Mew and her friends explain about the shadowy Pokemon swimming below them before Professor Elm rescues them.
"A mystery Pokémon?" Professor Elm questions.
"That's right," Tomo says.
"That's all we can tell you, cause we only saw its shadow," Jen says.
"Have you seen it before, Captain Marius?" Misty asks.
"I haven't," Marius says, "But I've heard many stories claiming that such a creature does in fact exist."
"Such a thing doesn't surprise me," Professor Elm says, "The world of Pokemon is full of undiscovered mysteries. Even in the last several years, a whole new class of Pokemon, steel type, is being researched."
"I remember, there are Pokemon like Skarmory and Scizor. Even Onix has an evolved form which is also a Steel Type," Mew says.
"Yeah, those are the best examples," Brock says.
"And Paldean Pokemon we caught as well," Jen adds.
"With Pokémon, every day brings a new discovery. The reason I'm conducting this ocean research is because the very origin of most life lies in the sea," Professor Elm says.
"The origin of most life?" Molly asks, interested.
"Yes. The sea is where most life had its start," Professor Elm says.
"You know, new beginnings are crucial in all parts of life. I bet it's the same for that mystery Pokémon you saw," Marius says. "Once you've begun something, you have to put one foot in front of the other and whoever keeps moving forward wins, eh?
"Sounds like great advice for me to be a Pokémon breeder," Brock says.
"Yeah, you're right," Misty says, "And with my dream to become a water Pokémon master, I just know if I can make my way through the Whirl Cup, I'll be even closer to that dream."
Togepi chirps in agreement.
Sparkle says, "Pika Pika." (I agree too.)
"And I'll be a Pokémon master one day, too!" Mew says.
"Pika!" (Of course!) Pikachu says.
"Follow your dreams, but enjoy the ride," Marius says.
"I guess you're right, getting there's a lot of fun too," Tomo says.
Soon, they all see a Meowth hot air balloon traveling above.
"What an unusual hot air balloon," Professor Elm says.
"Oh, it's unusual alright," Misty says.
"We know that balloon anywhere!" Jen says.
"It's Team Rocket!" Mew says.
Soon, Team Rocket's balloon arrives at the Pokemon Center.
"Pokémon center sighted!" Jessie says.
"Commence operations!" James says.
A net comes down and nets up the water Pokemon as Nurse Joy comes out and see what's going on before Team Rocket laughs triumphantly
"Team Rocket's here. Your loss is our net gain!" Meowth says.
Shocked, Nurse Joy says, "This isn't happening!"
Team Rocket chants about their latest catch, "We got the Pokémon!"
"We'd packed dese preline Pokémon as snag as a bug in a rug, cause, as you must know by now, we're master snatchers," Meowth says.
"Make that master snatchers of disaster! A title that we carry with pride," James says.
"And with dignity!" Jessie says with pride.
"Wobba! Wobba!" (Success! At last!) Wobbuffet says.
"We're riding the wave of fame and fortune. Now that we're in the Whirl islands, our luck has changed!" Jessie says.
Suddenly they hear Mew's voice, "Not so fast, Team Rocket!"
Jessie looks down to see the balloon chasing after them, with Mew and the others on the deck of the boat with Marius driving.
"Give us back those Pokémon! Now!" Mew demands.
James and Meowth notice themselves.
"And just when things were looking up," James says.
"Hey, if you tink we're dat dumb, you better try another team!" Meowth says.
"So it's a battle you're looking for?!" Jessie says, and throws her Pokeball, "Go, Arbok!"
Arbok comes out of the Pokeball, dives in the water, and swims towards the boat.
"It's coming fast, Mew!" Brock says.
"Get ready!" Mew says.
"Pika," (Okay.) Piakchu says.
"Eevee," (Let's get them.) Eevee says.
Misty suddenly steps in, "Now you listen up! If you harm even one scale on those water Pokemon, you'll me to answer to!" and gets out her Pokeball, "This will be the nice dress rehearsal for us going to the Whirl Cup! Go, Staryu! I choose you!"
And Staryu comes out of the Pokeball
Misty calls out, "Staryu, Swift attack now!"
Staryu performs the Swift Attack and hits Arbok hard.
Then Misty calls out, "Now follow up with Water Gun!"
Staryu fires Water Gun, but Arbok easily dodges it.
Then Jessie calls out, "Arbok, use your Poison Sting attack, now!"
Arbok fires the attack, and Staryu is knocked down.
"Oh no, Staryu!" Misty calls out.
Staryu's core starts to blink.
"Return, Staryu," Misty says, and recalls Staryu to the Pokeball.
Then Misty says, "Alright. Next up, I choose…"
Psyduck comes out.
"Psyduck?" Misty says, confused.
Psyduck bravely jumps into battle. Luckily, Golduck is able to teach Psyduck to swim.
And Psyduck performs Water Gun and sprays Arbok in the Psyduck gives Arbok a Scratch Attack. But then, Arbok gives Arbok a hard Headbutt, knocking it down and is badly knocked out.
"That was brave of you Psyduck, return," Misty says, and recalls Psyduck to the Pokeball.
"Alright, now it's our turn! Pikachu, Eevee, go!" Mew says.
Pikachu and Eevee leap into battle.
"Pikachu, Thunderbolt attack! Eevee, Swift Attack!" Mew calls out.
Pikachu and Eevee prepare to attack.
But James gets out a bazooka, "The triumphant return of my Super Pika/Eev net!"
James fires the bazooka, and is able to snag Pikachu and Eevee. Team Rocket laughs
"Looks like we caught two big ones," Meowth says.
"Hold on, Pikachu! Eevee!" Mew calls out.
"They don't know who it is they're messing with!" Marius says.
Corsola soon charges forward
"Corsola!" Molly calls out.
Brock turns to Professor Elm, "Hey, Prof. Elm, is Corsola really gonna battle those guys?"
"Well, you see, Brock, when I need to get tough, then Corsola gets going," Professor Elm says, and calls out, "Now go get 'em Corsola!"
Corsola darts through the water and straight towards Team Rocket.
"Should we be worried about that little gumball?" Jessie asks.
"It's making a B-line for our Super Pika/Eev net," Meowth says.
"Well, I suggest that you do something to stop it then, Meowth!" Jessie says.
But Jessie, what are you yelling at me for?" Meowth panics.
James calls out, "Weezing, go!" and throws his Pokeball.
Weezing comes out.
James calls out, "Okay, Weezing, hit em with a Sludge attack."
Weezing fires the attacks of multiple Sludge, but Corsola evades them all.
"That little piece of bubblegum won't quit," Jessie angrily says and calls out, "Arbok, chew it up and spit it out!"
Arbok charges forward.
Professor Elm calls out, "Go, Corsola! Tackle attack, now!"
Corsola charges to Tackle and nails Arbok.
"Alright, Corsola!" Misty cheers.
Arbok is soon seen flying into Weezing and directly into the Team Rocket's balloon basket.
Prof. Elm then calls out, "Okay, Corsola, Spike Cannon!"
Corsola starts glowing as a sign of preparing the attack.
Jessie asks, "Meowth, do you know what it's doing doing?"
It's Spike Cannon!" Meowth cries out.
Corsola fires the attack from it's body, cutting the nets from the balloon, freeing the Pokemon.
"So much for that part about smooth sailing," Jessie says.
"And our dream of being master snatchers…" Meowth says.
Has just been snatched away completely," James adds."
Some spikes from the attack hit the balloon, destroying it and sending Team Rocket flying
Team Rocket cries out, "Looks like Team Rocket's blasting off again!"
Soon, Team Rocket is gone.
Marius is surprised, "Wow. They really know how to fly."
"Corsola was just great!" Misty says.
Togpei and Sparkle agree.
"It worked Professor Elm," Tomo says.
"You know, that display really surprised me as well. From now on, I'll have to be sure I'll stay on Corsola's good side," Professor Elm says.
Pikachu and Eevee swim to Corsola.
"Pika, Pika." (Thanks, Corsola.) Pikachu says.
"Eevee," (Thank you.) Eevee says.
"Corsola." (No problem.) Corsola says.
Then the water Pokémon gather around Corsola, Eevee, and Pikachu and thank Corsola for saving them as well.
Misty eyes are starstruck, "Your Corsola, is just so awesome, I can't wait till I catch one someday."
Later that night, Mew and the others are talking to Professor Oak on the Pokemon Center's videophone
"That's great," Professor Oak says, "You're in the Whirl Islands. You should have no trouble finding all sorts of water Pokemon.
"Yeah. Not only that... Professor Oak, we also saw a really mysterious Pokemon," Mew says.
"A mysterious Pokemon?" Professor Oak replies.
"Yeah, and I think I know what it is…" Mew says.
But Professor Elm interrupts, "Uh, Professor? Uh, yes, excuse me. Please allow me to expound on that a bit. You see-"
"Ah, Professor." Professor Oak says.
Prof. Elm explains, "I have actually formulated several theories regarding this mystery Pokémon. Relating to a legend known for centuries by the islanders here. Although, it's a bit premature to call our subject a legendary Pokémon. I am convinced there are grounds for serious discussion…"
Everyone chuckles sheepishly as Professor Elm talks.
Misty asks, "Should we tell him that it might be a Lugia like the one you have?"
"I'm not sure. I think he'll freak out," Mew says.
The next day…
"Until we meet again, eh?" Professor Elm says.
"Yeah," Mew says.
"Thank you both so much for everything," Misty says
Then Marius says, "And don't forget, next ferry that you guys should catch will be from Bluefinland. That's your best bet for getting to Yellow Rock Isle. And be sure to have fun, stop and smell those roses, okay?"
Brock confirms the details in his handbook as Marisu speaks.
"Well, here we are now in Inland City, and Bluefinland is right up here," Brock says.
"Alright! Bluefinland, ready or not, here we come!" Mew happily says.
Soon, Mew and her friends head off on foot towards the Bluefinland and say their farewells to Professor Elm and Captain Marius.
"Have fun you guys!" Marius says.
"Have a safe trip!" Professor Elm says.
Mew and her friends continue on foot as they say their goodbyes and continue on their next adventure through the Whirl Islands.
