Disclaimers:
I do not own Sailor Moon and Supernatural. Sailor Moon is written by Naoko Takeuchi in manga form and aired as a series by Toei Animation and TV Asahi in Japan and by Kodansha Comics in North America. Supernatural is created by Eric Kripke and aired as an American TV series by WB and CW in 2005.
Jack Kline, an average dark, brown haired and blue-eyed teenage boy, was certainly not ordinary. He was actually a special boy, being the son of the archangel-turned-devil Lucifer. He was also only a year old but grew up to be sixteen in mere minutes. For this to happen, his angelic powers came into being to help the Winchester brothers in their current crisis. Jack was technically supposed to help one of the Winchester brothers, Sam, in watching over the former vessel of his angelic father, yet he traveled by himself to people who are supposed to be his grandparents in this life. Learning about his mother was the greatest thing he was experiencing. Yet, before he could bring enough courage to tell these two nice people that he was THEIR grandson through their daughter, a knock on the door sounded around the household. "Who is it," questioned Jack's grandmother, Helen.
"It's me, Mrs. Kline," said a female voice.
"Oh, Serena," said Helen as she got up and opened the door, "It's been so long, dear."
"Hai," said the female before an embarrassment tone came in, "I mean… Yes. It has been a while since I visited."
"Come in, come in," said Helen.
As Helen gestured for the female to come in, Jack had his first look at a pretty teenage girl with golden blonde hair that was in a braid and crystal blue eyes. The girl was also wearing a blue baby tee and skinny jeans. Blue clashed with blue as both stared at each other curiously. The girl's eyes turned away from Jack before landing onto Jack's grandfather, also named Jack. Smiling happily, the girl bounced over to Jack Senior and started to ask how he was and what has happened in his life. "I am fine, Serena," said Jack Senior, "I am just tired of not hearing from my daughter is all."
"But," piped in Helen, "We know that she's busy with government things."
"Are you sure I can't be of any help," questioned the girl.
"Yes, dear," said Helen, "Anyways, don't be rude. Please introduce yourself to this young man."
"Ah," said the girl who was fumbling a bit, "Hi."
"Hello," said Jack who waved just once with his hand, "I'm Jack."
"Like Jack here," questioned the girl.
"Yes, just like Jack here," said Jack.
"Well, hello Jack," said the girl, "My name is Usagi Tsukino, but everyone in America calls me Serena."
"Serena," said Jack with a nod, "What is oo-sa-gi?"
"U-sa-gi," pronounced Helen for Jack, "It's her Japanese name."
"Japanese," questioned Jack.
With that, Serena told Jack her story about how she lived in Japan all her life but wanted to explore the world for the summer. She was glad to have stumbled upon the Kline family as they helped her English improve. She could tell that she wasn't boring Jack because Jack's eyes were wide with childish delight. It felt as though he was actually intrigued by Japan and kept on asking a lot of questions, including weird ones that she didn't want to think about. As the two continued to converse, they didn't know that Jack's grandparents left the living room to fix some snacks up for their two guests. "They are just like us, Jack," said Helen with a giggle.
"I am sure that Serena will find happiness with this kid," said Jack Senior.
"I hope so," said Helen, "Traveling by herself due to that ex-boyfriend of hers. I hope she finds that happiness again."
"If I see that ex-boyfriend of hers," started Jack Senior.
"You sound like an overprotective father, dear," giggled Helen.
"W-Well," said Jack Senior in embarrassment, "Serena needs someone in her corner"
"I know, dear," said Helen before having a thoughtful look on her face, "Though, does Jack look familiar to you?"
As Jack Senior and Helen contemplated on Helen's question, Serena and Jack were finally wrapping up on their own conversation. Jack especially liked it when Serena's face lit up in a red hue, though he was unsure why he was feeling that. Inwardly curious about what was going on, Jack abruptly stood up because it was time for him to go. He could tell that his surrogated angelic father, Castiel, would be trying to find him. "I believe it is time for me to go," said Jack.
"So soon," questioned Helen who appeared with snacks.
"I believe some of my… colleagues will be wondering where I am," said Jack hesitantly.
"If you are sure," said Jack Senior, "But, before you go, you and Serena should exchange numbers!"
"Oh yes," said Helen, "You two definitely should keep in touch with one another!"
Jack was confused on why his grandparents said that. He didn't understand that his grandparents, who still didn't know that he was their grandson, were trying to push Jack and Serena to be together. They, as Serena thought mentally horrified, were playing matchmaker on two teens who, in apparent, were single. Jack, not wanting to defy his grandparents, took his cell phone out and gave it to Serena. Serena took Jack's phone and typed in her number, sending a quick text to herself that this was Jack's number. "There," said Jack with a smile, "Now, we are… friends. Right?"
"Friends," said Serena with a smile of her own.
'Hopefully more,' thought the grandparents.
- Days After A Supernatural Case –
"What is up with Jack," questioned one of the Winchester brothers, Dean.
"What do you mean," questioned the other brother, Sam.
It has been days that the Winchester brothers, Castiel, and Jack dealt the final blow to the alternate timeline archangel Michael. That blow, however, gave back Jack's angelic grace, which made the Winchester brothers and Castiel concern on how much of a human soul Jack still has. For now, it was downtime for everyone, but Dean, Sam, and Castiel still worry about Jack. Dean, lately, could see Jack was smiling. It wasn't suspicious, but why was Jack so happy so much? "Jack's been smiling a lot lately," said Dean.
"Maybe because he's got his mojo back," said Sam.
"Sam is right," said Castiel, "I am sure Jack is just happy to have his powers back and not feel… well… useless."
"I don't know," said Dean, "Kid's also been on his phone a lot, too."
Sam and Castiel blinked at that comment, but shrugged it off. Maybe Jack was playing a game on his phone? Who knows what Jack was going to do now that he had his powers back? It wasn't long that another supernatural case popped up in Iowa of all states. Without telling Jack, Castiel, Dean, and Sam went to the case. So, with the home base remotely empty, Jack came out of his room to see that there was NO one there. Jack had a confused look on his face. He contemplated on calling Dean, Sam, and Castiel, but decided to call the one person who made him smile a lot these days: his probably best friend, Serena. "Moshi, moshi," said Serena.
"Mo-shi, mo-shi," questioned Jack.
"Ah, sorry, Jack," said Serena, "I wasn't looking at the caller ID and thought it was my parents wondering where I am."
"I thought you went back to Japan," questioned Jack.
"I am back in Japan, Jack," said Serena, "Yet, I still have your phone number and you have mine."
"So, we are international buddies," stated Jack.
"Of course," giggled Serena, "So, Jack? Why did you called?"
"Oh," said Jack, "I was wondering if I can go to you and… hang out?"
"I would love to hang out with you," gushed Serena, "But, how are you going to get to Japan? It would take 13 hrs to get on an airplane and let's not forget about jetlag."
"I have a way," said Jack mysteriously, "And, it will take less time for me to get to Japan this way too."
Serena wondered about that answer, but agreed hesitantly for Jack to meet her in Japan, specifically Jūban park. She also expressed that Jack calls her the moment he lands in Japan so that she could help him find her easier. Jack agreed before hanging up, and with a flash of golden light, Jack disappeared and reappeared in a secluded area of a park. Jack looked around to see that this park was much cleaner than the parks he knew in Kansas. He took one step out from behind a huge tree to only find himself flat on his back, someone on top of him. "Gomen nasai (I'm so sorry)," said a familiar female voice.
"Serena,' said Jack happily.
"Eh," questioned the now known Serena before she looked down to see… "Jack!"
"I am happy to see you again," said Jack.
"I am too," said Serena, "Yet, how did you get to Japan so fast?!"
Jack rubbed the back of his head nervously. He knew that Dean, Sam, and Castiel wouldn't like someone to know his origins, but this was Serena. If anyone would understand him, it would be her. He didn't know why he thought Serena would understand, but he knew that he trusted her to keep it a secret. He, however, didn't know why his stomach felt funny just being so close to his best friend. Shaking his head mentally, Jack asked if Serena knew a place they could talk quietly. Serena, on her part, was very curious on how Jack came to be in Japan so quickly. She wonders if Jack was really human at all after this stunt. When hearing a question from Jack, Serena smiled as she clasped one of her hands with his. "I know just the place," said Serena as the two began to walk.
"Where are we going," questioned Jack.
"Crown Game Center," said Serena, "We can have some privacy there while we also eat."
"Eat," questioned Jack, "What time is it here?"
"Just after one in the afternoon," said Serena.
"But, it was night time at home," said Jack.
"Jack, two words," said Serena.
"Two words," questioned Jack.
"Mhm," hummed Serena before saying… "Time Zones."
- At Crown Game Center –
Serena and Jack were eating some burgers and milkshakes. Serena was surprised that Jack didn't even start to tell her how he got to Japan so fast. Jack, on his part, was just eating because he had never tasted another countries' cuisine before. He wonders if he could ask Dean, Sam, and Castiel for some other foods besides the usual American foods he's been eating. As both finished their burgers and were now slowly sipping their drinks, Serena was the one to break the silence. "So, Jack," said Serena, "I have got to know. Are you an alien?"
"Alien," questioned Jack, "No. I am not an alien."
"Then, how did you get to Japan so fast," questioned Serena.
"Well, first off," said Jack hesitantly before… "Hi. I'm Jack Kline, the son of Kelly Kline and the archangel Lucifer."
Serena was about to smack Jack for introducing himself again but halted as she digested that one simple statement. Jack, her best American friend… her crush, was the actual son of the missing Kelly Kline, daughter to her two favorite elders, Helen and Jack Senior. If Jack's statement was also true about being Lucifer's son, then the Biblical stuff she learned in America were true as well. Japan had their folklores and religions, but learning about another religion being real… Serena placed a hand on her forehead due to a headache coming in. "Serena," questioned Jack.
"Just… let me process what you said," said Serena.
"Okay," said Jack hesitantly.
"I can't believe my crush is the son of Lucifer," mumbled Serena.
"What," questioned Jack.
"Nothing," said Serena, "Anyways, since you introduced yourself… breathes in deeply… Hi! My name is Usagi Tsukino, American name Serena. I am the daughter of Ikuko Tsukino and Kenji Tsukino and am the reincarnated Princess of the Moon, Princess Serenity V."
Now, it was Jack's turn to process what Serena was telling him with her statement. Here was Jack with a secret about himself, and here he was, sitting with his best friend who also had a major secret of her own. He was surprise reincarnation was a real thing. Sure, there were ways for dead people to come back to life and many supernatural creatures scouring the world, but reincarnation? That was not something he learned when he was listening to Angel Radio… when he was listening to Castiel… when he was listening to the Winchester brothers. Jack breathed slowly in and out before… "Okay," said Jack.
"You believe me," questioned Serena.
"If werewolves, vampires, zombies, and other supernatural things are real, then you being a past princess is true too," said Jack before unconsciously saying, "Besides, you definitely pretty to be a princess in a past life."
"Other supernatural beings are real," questioned Serena who had a red hue on her cheeks.
"Yup," said Jack, "My foster family and I hunt those that hurt others."
"So, there are good supernatural beings too, right," questioned Serena.
"I… am unsure," said Jack, "Dean says that hunting things is a family business, though."
"Well, I'm sure that there could be good supernatural beings, too," said Serena, "Just look at you, Jack! You're one of the good ones. I can feel it."
Jack was surprised by Serena's proclamation of him being good that he was unconsciously blushing. Jack smiled happily at Serena while she smiled back at him. Placing money at the table, Serena got out of the booth she was sitting on before turning to stand in front of Jack. Jack, on his part, was wondering what Serena wanted as he got up and stood in front of Serena, noting that he was taller than her by a few inches. Serena stared at Jack's eyes before grabbing his hand and dashing out of the establishment. "Where are we going now," questioned Jack.
"My house," said Serena, "We can talk more there!"
"Why didn't we do that before," questioned Jack.
"I… uh… I'm not a very good cook," said Serena sheepishly, "Better to feed you outside than at my house."
"I'm sure your cooking is not that bad," said Jack.
"You'd be surprised," said Serena.
- Months Later: Jack Resurrected –
"Dean, can I ask you something," questioned Jack.
It was finally a normal day for the Winchester family that consists of Dean, Sam, Castiel, and Jack. Reality… everything was going downhill because the actual end boss was Chuck, or God, himself. However, today was a normal as a day as anything, even if Dean released a wood nymph named Mrs. Butters that served the Men of Letters way back when. Dean, himself, took time to ask Jack if he was feeling fine after doing a lot of trials from Billie, the new Death, in their universe. Jack did confirm to Dean that he was feeling better, but he wanted to ask him something… something about feelings. "Shoot," said Dean as he sat with the chair facing backwards.
"You know that I died since my human soul was gone," said Jack.
"Yes," said Dean slowly.
"When you died," said Jack, "Did your life flash before your eyes?"
"Yeah," said Dean, "I sure did a lot of good, and still doing good too."
"Well," said Jack hesitantly, "For mine, it was mostly around a certain someone… a lot."
Dean was confused on what Jack was implying. Did Jack still feel guilty about what happened when he was losing his human soul? Or was that certain someone Castiel who did the most in teaching Jack right from wrong, even though he's literally about two to three years old in a sixteen-year-old body? Dean hmed as he tried to pay attention to Jack. Yet, the conversation turned into confusion for Dean when Jack was now expressing how this certain someone laughed a certain way. "Jack, dude," said Dean, "Is this going to be a chick flick moment?"
"I… do not know what you mean," said Jack, "All I am explaining to you is that glimpses of my best friend keeps on coming back into my mind, even after I am alive again."
"Is this best friend of yours a girl," questioned Dean.
"Yes," said Jack, "She is from Japan and came to America for a summer tour. She has been a good companion to my mother's parents. Yet, I am still feeling weird whenever I am near her or think about her."
"I think I know what's going on," said Dean with a smirk.
"What is it," questioned Jack curiously.
"Dude," said Dean, "You are in love with this girl of yours!"
"Love," questioned a confused Jack.
Dean face-palmed when he forgot that Jack was literally a new born with this kind of stuff. He didn't have the time to grow up naturally and learn about love. He knew that Jack knows about a love from a mom, and maybe love from a mix-match family like theirs, but romantic love? Dean quickly stood up from his sitting position on the chair before walking towards Jack to pull him up from the bed as well. "Come on, Romeo," said Dean, "Let's get Sammie to tell you all about romantic love."
"Romantic love," questioned Jack.
"You have a lot to learn, Padawan," said Dean as he ushered Jack out of his bedroom.
- After Jack Becomes The New God –
"Ugh," groaned out Dean, "What now?"
It was supposed to be the end to a very long battle. Chuck was already defeated, and Jack became the newest God, so to speak. Castiel was also back after Jack used his new God-like powers. Dean and Sam were hugging Castiel because they were sure they would never see their angel friend again. However, the celebration was short lived when a silver beam came upon the four. Dean groaned out on what was happening, but before anyone could answer his question, the silver beam revealed a young female that had long white hair tied in a pair of heart-shaped odango (dumplings) and was wearing a sailor uniform that has a white collar with three yellow stripes, short yellow sleeves with wings, and multicolored ribbons in the middle of the skirt. "Serena," called out Jack as he ran towards the female.
"Wait," said Sam, "That's Serena? Jack's Serena?"
"It appears so," said Castiel.
"Man," said Dean, "If she was more older…"
"Dean," said Sam with a glare.
"Just saying," said Dean with his hands up.
Sam and Castiel sighed in unison. Dean would always be Dean it seems. The three, however, stopped their conversation when Jack came back with Serena, one of his hands entwined with hers. Serena, on her part, smiled a bit sadly at Dean, Sam, and Castiel as the couple finally stood in front of the three. Castiel gasped inwardly once Serena was in front of him. He recognized the energy that Serena was emitting and wondered if this was Fates work in making the new God and the new protector of the multiverse become romantically involved. "It is nice to finally meet the three that Jack sees as family," said Serena.
"It's nice to meet you too," said Sam with a smile.
"Yeah," said Dean, "You should hear how Jack describes you. You would think Jack finally learned about love by the way he gushes about you."
"Dean," groaned out Jack who was now embarrassed.
"Hey, kid," said Dean with a smirk, "It's the one-who-raised-you's responsibility to embarrass you, and look! You have three people that can do it, more so Cas than anyone else."
"It is an honor to be in your presence, protector of the multiverse," said Castiel with a bow.
"Say what now," questioned the Winchesters in surprise.
Serena blushed slightly as she hid her face against Jack's chest. She didn't know that the angels knew about her final form and her role in protecting the multiverse. Dean and Sam were just looking at Castiel for an explanation while Jack hugged Serena comfortingly. He knew, unconsciously, that to be in this final form, Serena must of had to lose her most precious people, besides him, in the final battle for her. "She is the ultimate protector of all of the multiverses," said Castiel.
"And that means," questioned Sam.
"Any evil being that threatens the safety of the any particular multiverse," said Castiel, "She will appear and defeat said evil before the evil gets out of hand."
"Then where was she when Chuck decided to end THIS world," questioned Dean angrily.
"She just ascended right when I absorbed Chuck's powers," said Jack as Serena nodded her head in agreement.
"Alright," said Dean, "So, the world is going to be in the hands of two hormonal teenagers. That's just great. Dean looks at the two. No hanky-panky if the world is in danger, capiche?"
Jack and Serena blushed brightly when Dean told them that. Sam hit the back of Dean's head for that statement while Castiel sighed in exasperation. Dean, on his part, smiled impishly at everyone. He knew that Jack and Serena got the safety of the world in their hands, but he had confident that the both can handle it. As the day died down to night, Jack and Serena both saw Dean, Sam, and Castiel drive away within Dean's Baby, a 1967 Chevy Impala. Jack then turned to Serena before gently cupping her face with his hands. "Ready to go onto our own adventure," questioned Jack.
"With you," questioned Serena, eyes shining with love, "Always."
"Sorry it took so long to notice my feelings," said Jack.
"At least, you had three influential people to explain what you were feeling," said Serena with mirth, "I could still remember you calling me and yelling out that you love me."
"Don't remind me," grumbled Jack, "But, to be fair, I was still new to EVERYTHING, especially since I am technically a newborn."
"Guess that's why we are perfect for each other," said Serena, "A new life grown too soon meets an old soul in a childish body."
"We make one crazy couple, that's for sure," said Jack in amusement.
"I love you, Jack Kline," said Serena earnestly, making Jack smile down at her.
"And, I love you, Serena Tsukino," said Jack before kissing Serena on her lips.
