Szarekh had arrived at a new tomb, this tomb was full of huge pieces of machinery. The biggest of which was known as the Seraptekh Heavy Construct. He planned on using them on the city and academy of mistral, this was gonna be fun.
Neo woke up only to see her new teammates all asleep, she exited the tent they were all sleeping in and walked outside. Neo sat down and looked up at the stars, knowing that one day, they may just disappear. Neo suddenly felt a presence behind her, she took her hush and shot the blade from the front and pointed at who was behind her.
Yang: Calm it shorty, I'm not looking for a fight.
Neo put her blade down and her hush back on her belt, then she returned to staring at the stars, ignoring Yang. Yang sat down beside her and looked at where Neo was looking.
Yang: You like watching the stars?
Neo: Yeah, what is it to you?
Yang: Something I did back at home or at Beacon, I always did this when something happened that I wanted to reflect on.
Neo:…
Yang: Why aren't you asleep? Roman said that you're a sound sleeper.
Neo: Bad dream is all.
Yang: Dream or a vision?
Neo: Vision…
Yang: Ruby told me, what was it?
Neo: Last time it showed me Cinder's death by the hands of clawed Necrons wearing peeled skin. Now it shows me the leader opening another Tomb, except this one was full of heavy machinery.
Yang: Sounds bad, how many more left?
Neo: Two, Atlas and Vacuo I believe, though we will still go to Mistral.
Yang: Why?
Neo: Cinder isn't dead yet, she is clinging onto life, waiting for someone to find her, she's waiting for us.
Yang: Listen, us two have… some bad blood that we should probably… *mutters quietly* get sorted.
Neo: What was that? I didn't quite hear you.
Yang: We need to get our bad blood sorted, for the sake of Remnant.
Neo: So… fresh start?
Yang: Yeah, Hello, I'm Yang Xiao Long.
Yang held her hand out for Neo to shake, Neo was hesitant at first, but decided to shake it anyway.
Neo: I'm Neopolitan, but you can call me Neo.
Yang: Neopolitan, like the ice cream?
Neo: Yep!
Yang: Well, we should probably head back to sleep.
Neo: Yeah, see you tomorrow.
Yang: See ya!
Morning
The group woke up and left towards Haven, they had finally arrived when they noticed the town was in panic. Ruby approached one of the guards.
Ruby: What's going on?
Guard: Large reports of machinery have been rumoured to be on the way here.
Weiss: Atlas tech?
Guard: No, Necron tech, we can't evacuate everyone!
Ruby had one idea of what to do, she took out the TCD (Tau Communication Device) and pressed the button, awaiting response.
Chris: Hello?
Ruby: Chris! Listen, the Necrons are approaching one of the main. Four regions with giant machinery, we need help evacuating and fending them off!
Chris: Say no more, we are dropping our Cadre Headquarters soon.
Ruby: Cadre what?
Suddenly, a fleet of non Remnant ships appeared overhead the town, building began to drop from some of the ships as well as a few builder drones to place everything properly. Shias O'Kais emerged from the HQ along with Chris.
O'Kais: You must be Ruby Rose, it is an honour to find an ally in the greater good. We are setting up a small command post here, then we will send out the evacuation ships, where do you want them to go?
Ruby: I… don't know yet…
Roman: Vale.
Blake: Why?
Roman: The Necrons have already opened the tombs at Vale, they have no reason to return there, it's kinda like a safe haven now.
O'Kais: Very well.
Fire warrior: Sir, we have detected Necron troops at the eastern border of the city.
O'Kais: Send every Tau unit available there, crisis suits and kroot are unable to be dispatched yet, they will remain here for now.
Fire warrior: Yes sir!
O'kais: Send every available Tau transport ship to wherever there are people, send them to this set of coordinates.
Breacher: Yes sir!
O'kais: You guys remain. Here for now, got around the buildings, find survivors, take them here.
Ruby: Got it! Split up, Weiss and Blake, Yang and Roman and me and Neo!
The group split off as Ruby and Neo headed to where Haven academy was. Inside they found the body of Cinder fall, who was still alive.
Cinder: Took… you two… long…enough…
Ruby: Cinder! Are you alright?
Cinder: Unfortunately not… My time is almost up, but one of you must kill me…
Ruby: Why?
Neo: Her maiden powers, someone has to take them or they will be lost forever.
Ruby: I… don't think I can do it…
Neo: I can.
Neo wasted no time and pulled her blade from her hush, she then planted it through Cinders heart. Cinder vanished as Neo felt a surge of energy through her. She could now use fire magic.
Ruby: How… How could you?
Neo: She almost killed me and Roman, and was plotting to destroy Beacon. So…really there isn't much to say.
Ruby:… Fair enough I guess…
Explosions could be heard from outside along with sounds of flying machinery (similar to Tie Fighter sound, if you know what they sound like). Neo and Ruby Rushed outside where huge flying vehicles were zooming through the air.
O'kais: Ruby! Their air support has arrived, we aren't done yet, our Coalition Centre needs more time to finish to allow our building to come to life!
Ruby: We'll hold them off!
Fire warrior: Sir, more Necrons are coming!
O'kais: Where?!
Fire warrior: North, south, east, West, Everywhere damn it! Above ground, in the air, and below ground too!
From the ground, came a Tomb Sentinel, a centipede like Necron. Neo began to shoot rapid fire fireballs at it as Ruby used her scythe to do extra damage, the creature exploded and fell to the ground. Night shrouds were in the air, firing at Mistral airships and buildings. Necron warriors began to emerge from behind building and began to walk to the Cadre HQ. Neo and Ruby began to attack, burning, slicing, shooting Necrons to stop them from destroying the HQ. There were too many of them, and more would keep showing up. Soon, Immortals began to appear as well, making Neo and Ruby's jobs much harder.
Neo: We can't hold them off for long!
Ruby: Keep fighting!
Neo and Ruby kept fighting, but their aura was depleting fast. This kept going on until…
O'Kais: DONE!
The HQ and the buildings were complete, they all opened, revealing troops, mechs and beasts. Or more known as Tau, Crisis Suits and Kroot. The tables had turned as Tau vehicles also entered the fight, air vehicles took to the sky to chase after the Night Shrouds and/or tesseract arks. Ground vehicles destroyed Necrons warriors and Immortals with ease as the troops advanced outwards.
Ruby: Wow!
Neo: That honestly looks incredible.
O'kais: Wait till the Riptides come out to play. The Necrons will stand no chance once our coalition centre is fully upgraded.
The ground had began to shake, something massive was on the way, buildings could be seen falling over or just getting destroyed by large rays of light green light. In a few moments, the one thing Team RWBY, Torchwick, Neo or any of the Tau showed up, something none of them had seen coming. The Seraptekh Heavy Construct (SHC for short). This was something none of them would be able to deal with.
O'Kais: This is bad, there is only one thing us Tau have that could put up a fight with that thing, we did not bring it with us.
Neo: Well you'd better make a few calls if you want to win this fucking battle!
O'Kais: We never use the Manta, it was never supposed to be used unless the situation is really dire.
Ruby: Well in case you haven't noticed, that thing is headed for your HQ so I'd say thing are pretty dire right now.
O'Kais: … fine, Chris, call MainBase and tell them to bring the Manta.
Chris: But sir…
O'Kais: DO IT NOW!
Chris rushed off as the SHC was approaching. Neo shot fire balls at it but they didn't seem to do anything against it, nothin did. This thing was like an AT-AT walker from Star Wars but way stronger… 'wait a minute, that's it!' Ruby thought as she turned to her teammates who had shortly arrived at the scene.
Ruby: Who here has watched Star Wars Empire Strikes Back?
Weiss: I didn't but why?
Blake: I've heard of it but I never watched it…
Yang: I was there with you when we saw it.
Roman: THIS ISN'T THE FUCKING TIME FOR THIS, RED!
Neo: I have, and I think I se what you mean.
Weiss: Explain please.
Ruby: In the movie, the AT-AT walkers which are similar to this were brought down when their legs were tied together.
Neo: So if we get a cord strong enough…
Blake: We can topple it over to stall for more time!
Weiss: Maybe even do some damage!
Roman: What if we get inside it and take it out from the inside out?
Neo: Let's do it!
O'Kais: We have rope strong enough for such a task, our Ethereals can tie the legs.
Ruby: Do what you must, we will distract it.
Team RWBYNR (pronounced Ruby-ner) proceeded to attract the SHC's attention to distract it. The Cord was tied around it's many legs, causing it to topple over, allowing Team RWBYNR to get inside and explore its mechanical insides.
The inside of the SHC was filled with Necron warriors, and a few Lychguard here and there. Overall, the whole construct had a very eerie vibe to it. The crew walked around until they eventually found the core of the SHC.
?: So you're the ones who infiltrated the Seraptekh Heavy construct.
The crew looked beside the core where they saw a caped Necron standing there.
Ruby: Who are you?
Imotekh: I'm Imotekh the StormLord, one of the higher ups in the Necrons. Now, care to explain why the hell you're in here?
Roman: We are here to put an end to your little invasion.
Imotekh: Don't make me laugh, the Lychguard are on their way here as we speak, you stand no chance against me or the other Necron Generals.
Ruby: You're right, we can't do any damage to you.
Yang: What?! I can definitely take him down!
Neo: Ruby is right, we can't kill you.
Imotekh: Surrendering are we? Good choice, though you'll die anyways.
Neo: We can't damage you, but that can.
Imotekh looked over to Neo who had shot a flame spear through the core, causing it to begin to spark dangerously.
Imotekh: You fools! You've doomed us all!
Ruby: Nah, just you.
Imotekh charged for Ruby but once his blade touched her, she and the rest of her team shattered like glass, disappearing completely from view.
Imotekh: NOOOOOO!
The group had arrived outside the SHC thanks to Neo's teleportation. The SHC began to malfunction until it blew up, destroying anything within a certain radius. The rest of the Necrons who lived began to retreat now that their main muscle had perished. The battle was won.
O'Kais: I must say, I am Impressed! My army had never been able to take down something like that and yet, just the six of you have managed to gain the respect of all Tau.
Ruby: Thank you commander, this means a lot to us.
A giant ship arrived, and landed outside the city of Mistral. Tau, Kroot, vehicles and the building were moving inside the ship.
O'Kais: This is where we leave, if you are ever in need of more assistance, press the button on the communicator.
Ruby nodded as O'Kais left into the ship. Once everything was inside, the Manta took off into the sky. Everyone watched it until it was no longer in sight. The group remained silent for a while until Roman spoke up.
Roman: Is it just me, or is anyone else starving and tired as hell?
Ruby: No, it isn't just you.
Yang: I could go for some grub.
Blake: I guess a little food wouldn't hurt.
Weiss: Sure, why not?
Neo: I am starving, these maiden powers consume so much energy. How did Cinder do it?
Ruby: I think there's a restaurant or something like that down the street that wasn't shot or hit during the attack.
The group nodded and headed in the direction Ruby had said.
