Either way, a mere skill like that won't make you be able to overcome me." The God concluded with a big smile on his face.
Seeing that Issei remained focused on himself, Thor's smile widened even more.
"Don't be in the clouds!" The God shouted with a sadistic grin as he moved at an impressive speed that Issei would not have been able to follow clearly before.
After hearing his voice, Issei raised his gaze and frowned. The next thing to be seen was how the katana materialized in the brown-haired man's hand.
Thor's smile completely left his face and his forward dash was abruptly interrupted as he jumped to the side, stopping dead in his tracks.
The God looked down at his right arm, watching as a crack was generated in his ice armor. A large amount of blood shot out in all directions as a deep gash opened up along the length of his entire arm, just as a large line of destruction spread across much of the battlefield.
The God turned his gaze back to his opponent, feeling that strange pressure make its presence felt again and made the whole place tremble.
"Just because I'm not looking at you doesn't mean I wasn't paying attention to you." Issei declared as he stood with his katana extended to the front.
CHAPTER 68: LONGINUS NUMBER 0!
The smile soon returned to the god's face.
"You are too stubborn. You were about to run out of a lung not long ago and yet you want to keep fighting me." Thor's smile disappeared by the next words he mentioned:
"Do you want to die so badly?"
"If this battle continues, the only one really affected will be you." Issei declared, pointing his katana at him.
"Besides stubborn, also conceited." Thor stated with a slight chuckle as a vein marked on his temple.
"KNOW YOUR PLACE!"
A magic circle of considerable size was created in front of Thor, creating a huge ice stake that was shot at an absurd speed towards Issei.
The young man simply became serious and grabbed the katana with both hands, and thus the aura surrounding his body passed to his katana for seconds, causing the weapon to be decorated with a dark aura. Curiously, the edge of it gained a more prominent glow and the part that was rusted faded a little.
Issei waved his katana to the front just as the stake was inches away from hitting him, causing the ice to split in half, only to explode into thousands of fragments.
"Not only did he become a bit more powerful, that katana acquired more edge for a reason unknown to me." Thor stated with a smile as he created an ice claymore. "As far as I'm concerned, it's perfect. If you use your full power you will be able to understand more deeply the difference between a lesser force and absolute power." The God moved at an enormous speed with the intention of striking Issei, but to his surprise the young man moved at an extremely high speed. Thor's eyes widened and his smile disappeared as he noticed that the katana was inches away from his face. The God moved fast enough to dodge the attack as he bent his back backwards. Issei swung his katana over his hand in one swift motion, then tried to stab him in the abdomen, but his target disappeared from sight. Unimpressed at what happened, Issei didn't hesitate and spun on his foot at an extremely high speed, causing his katana to slam into the God's claymore that was in the air.
"Are you even faster too?" Thor asked him with a big grin as the clash of their weapons still continued to argue over which one had more strength.
"Trust me, even I don't know what's going on." Issei replied as he dematerialized his helmet, giving the God a smile.
"Does that mean you're still competing against me by sheer miracle and you still have the audacity to believe you can beat me?" The God declared, without abandoning his smile.
"You could say it's something... Like that!" Issei exclaimed at last, overpowering the God in strength, causing him to fly off into the sky.
"Hahahahahaha, even with that miraculous power you couldn't beat my top speed in this form!" The God sneered, only to widen his grin to sickening levels.
"It's time for you to understand!"
The god disappeared and Issei could only watch from side to side as blurry images kept circling around him. But, instead of feeling harassed, Issei just sighed to relax and closed his eyes.
The young man's posture changed as his knees bent and he took the katana in both his hands, positioning it behind his waist.
"Have you resigned already?!" The god laughed from several directions, as his steady position was impossible to decipher.
"THEN, LET'S GET IT OVER!"
The God appeared behind Issei's back and waved his sword with great force towards the front.
At that moment, the protagonist opened his eyes and his katana moved at a great speed.
The next thing that could be seen was a large explosion in the area along with a large amount of sparks flying everywhere.
Issei's figure became visible through the dust and continued with his katana raised, while several meters behind him was Thor with a very similar position.
Finally, Issei re-materialized his helmet and stood up as if nothing had happened. Just then, Thor fell to his knee and coughed up a large amount of blood as his claymore shattered into a thousand pieces and his torso split open in a rather extensive diagonal cut that appeared to be quite painful.

Thor slowly turned around, then created a huge magic circle. The same giant stake came out of it, going straight at Issei.
Unlike the first time, Issei's eyes widened greatly and he took a big leap to the side, watching as the stake went through everything in its path until finally crashing into the barrier, damaging it a bit in the process.
"That I put all my effort into this barrier..." Odin thought aloud, sweating a little at the thought that the combat might escalate enough to break through his protection.
Issei was unimpressed by this and turned his gaze quickly to the front, then extended his hand towards the target.
"DRAGON SHOT!"
The monstrous attack moved at a great speed until it finally collided with the God, and this time, Issei had no choice but to be surprised.
The attack that had easily swept over the God before, now turned into magic dust as it collided with his armor.
"Do not be surprised, for this has only just begun." Thor declared with a grim smile as a myriad of magic circles were created on his back.
Issei's expression tightened and he began to fly aimlessly with the sole purpose of dodging all the magical attacks that were aimed at his position.
His gaze returned to the front and his eyes widened to the max after seeing that a huge ball of ice was inches away from hitting him. Somehow he found enough speed and reaction to dodge it as that passed between his legs. His neck jerked quickly to the side as another huge stake grazed his cheek.
"It's over." The God declared as he clenched his fist, causing a huge magic circle to appear above Issei's head.
The protagonist could only watch as he was crushed by the huge pillar of ice. The object crashed to the ground in a dull sound.
"Issei!" both Penemue and Tiamat shouted in concern after witnessing what happened.
"This is what happens when you defy absolute power." Declared the God with a smug smile on his face.
Though that smile didn't last but a second when a great tremor came over the place.
"EXPLOSION!"
The ice pillar began to slowly crack until it finally split into a thousand pieces, releasing a very strong crimson and dark aura.
"By now, you should know that even tearing every muscle in my body isn't going to be able to stop me." Issei declared with a large agitated smile on his face as various wounds seen on his face healed at a great speed.
"How can that be possible? You should have already succumbed to the cruel reality that divides us." Thor commented, and on this occasion he did sound rather incredulous.
"You may be a God and I a mere Reincarnated Demon..." Issei raised his katana backwards and a magical aura began to adorn the metal of it completely.
"But a mere stance isn't going to help you achieve all your goals!"

Thor's surprise was slowly replaced by a smile covered in madness. His amputated arm slowly reappeared in ice form as his figure slowly grew.
"I no longer care to make you understand the reality..." Thor's form began to grow larger and larger because of his ice coating, until his figure reached five meters. "You have taken an arm from me, and that is only payable with your life." Declared the God as a very menacing aura surrounded him, making Issei look like a mere ant in front of him.
Issei took a great leap backwards to dodge Thor's punch. The protagonist's eyes could not help but widen at the sight of the huge crater that originated in the impact zone. But that wasn't reason enough to distract him from the fight, so he quickly countered as he grabbed his katana with both hands.

"Shit!" Issei cursed as he noticed that the barrier was going to disappear in just seconds.
The barrier shattered into a thousand pieces, and just as one of the stakes was about to embed into the helmet, a strong red light changed the course of all the attacks.
"DRAGON SHOT!"
A never-before-seen Shot dragon advanced and ravaged everything in its path, until finally reaching Thor. The god didn't even flinch when the powerful attack slammed into his body.
The loud blast rose up everywhere, and just as quickly as it was created, just as quickly it also disappear into magic dust.
"That tickled me." Thor stated graciously, seeing how his armor had barely been damaged.
The God's gaze focused on Issei as he parked several feet away from him, causing his smile to grow even wider.
"Who told you to stop?" Thor began to move his hands at a great speed once more, only to be surprised to see Issei begin to run to his position.
"Have you gone mad?!" Roared the God with a sadistic grin as a large number of ice stakes were fired towards Issei's position.
The young man gritted his teeth hard and began to smash all the stakes with his katana at mind-blowing speed and concentration, until he finally reached Thor, delivering a sharp slash over his neck.
"Didn't I say so?" Declared the God with a big smug grin on his face. "Only another God can penetrate this armor."
Thor tried to grab Issei, but Issei dodged his intentions by a great leap backwards.
"Shit, I thought my katana would be enough!" Issei thought rather alarmed. "At this rate, there's only something that can cut through that, but it's too risky to use it now!"
His thoughts were interrupted when a large pillar of ice was shot towards his position. Issei dodged it with a good leap, but his eyes reflected his surprise when the figure of the God appeared at his side. Somehow, he found enough speed and reaction to dodge the large punch that sank into a huge crater that reached the rubble of a building, leaving the place even more shattered than it already was.
Issei stood up and looked at the towering 5 meter figure looming a few meters away from him.
"At this rate I won't make it through his armor. I understand that continuing to combine the power of the Boosted Gear with this state may be too risky because of my dragon arm. But..." Issei's hands strengthened on his katana as he frowned.

That monstrous attack sent him straight to the ground, but he was able to compose himself in time to spin around and land on his feet, sending all the surrounding debris flying.
Issei did not even have a second of rest, as he began to run to dodge different gigantic ice pillars falling from the sky, until he finally had to dodge the God himself, which generated a great movement in the entire coliseum when collided with the ground.

"Fucking shitty armour...!" Issei roared through his teeth, until his eyes glowed from beneath his helmet.
"BREAK THE FUCK UP!"
Everyone's surprise was shown as the katana finally went all the way through the ice arm, leaving a completely stunned Thor.
"Impossible!" The God roared as he delivered a heavy blow with his one hand, sending Issei crawling through the rubble until he crashed into a dwelling that was already half-destroyed.
"It's time to end this madness." Thor declared with a grim look as he lunged at Issei without hesitation, creating two claymores and his arm in the process.
Issei could only meet the attack with his katana, causing a large amount of sparks to be created as the three weapons clashed together.
"Succumb to your dreadful reality at once!" God exclaimed in controlled anger as two more claymores ice arms were created, impacting with great force on Issei's katana.
Issei gritted his teeth with great force because of the pressure he was being subjected to. The power was such that his legs had sunk into the ground.
Thor's smile suddenly appeared as he noticed how Issei's back began to buckle from not being able to withstand so much pressure.
"That's it! Lose and know your damn place in this world!"
"BOOST!"
Thor's smile instantly disappeared after hearing that word.

The clash of swords continued for a short second more, until Thor bent his knees to the side to dodge a thrust, and then delivered a strong kick to Issei that made him vomit a large amount of blood, besides sending him flying with a burst of speed.
Issei managed to control his fall by landing with a somersault, then rejoining practically instantly to block and cut a large amount of ice blocks that headed for his position. Issei firmed his feet on the ground after cutting the last obstacle to then cross his katana in front of his torso, and right after that could be witnessed as Thor arrived at blinding speed. The four claymores collided with great force against the sword, sending all the nearby debris flying. Issei used all his strength to counter the blow, sending the God hurtling backwards at a great speed that was soon followed.
Suddenly, a great amount of blasts and destruction created by the clash of weapons was glimpsed across almost the entire battlefield as they went through and shattered various debris, as both opponents were moving at an enormous speed, though that speed was incomparable to how fast the swords were moving.
"Incredible...!" Penemue thought aloud after seeing such a display of power that far surpassed her in every way.
Finally, they both stopped in one area and continued to clash their swords at that absurdly high speed, causing them both to start soaring through the air just from what they were creating.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
Issei screamed at the top of his lungs as everything around him began to shatter from the pressure of their combat.

Everyone was completely stunned as they watched what could be categorized as an ice meteor slowly emerge from the magic circle.
Issei shot out into the crimson aura as he readied a large sphere in his left hand. Everyone watched in complete disbelief as the young man was not even bothered by the magnitude of the attack, and, in fact, looked as if he was going to meet it head on.
Issei flew towards the large ice meteorite and flexed his katana to the front while his other hand was positioned behind his shoulder so that the sphere he was creating would not suffer an impromptu.

The magical energy seemed to be about to disappear, but just at that moment, words echoed in Issei's head.

Thor's armor shattered into thousands of pieces and a large gash ran over his entire torso until it reached one of his eyes, causing a large amount of blood to shoot out everywhere.
But that didn't end there, as the slash shattered the magical barrier and split the coliseum in two, and even reached several Asgardian homes that also ended up split in two.
"What the...?!" Odin could only fall back on his seat completely dumbfounded at what he had witnessed.
Luckily for everyone, Tiamat acted fast enough and joined both split parts together with ice before anyone got hurt.
"I knew his special attack would be more destructive, but this is completely insane..." Thought Penemue, who wasn't faring much better than the God.
Finally, Issei fell to his knees to the ground as that dark energy left him completely, causing his katana to return to its usual rusty state.
Thor fell silent in front of him a few seconds later. The man's remaining eye was completely white, indicating his unconsciousness.
"Well..." Issei nodded to himself, then turned away. "Now, I just have to find her."

"Where should I start?" He thought, seeing the whole place destroyed.
That simple sight made him a little nervous.
"I hope she's okay, we really don't measure our strength here..."
His thoughts were abruptly interrupted when he felt a figure with a flashing, glowing sound pass by him.
"A hammer?" thought Issei with great confusion.
"I can't believe you forced me to use all my power."
Issei's eyes grew completely wide as he felt Thor land right behind him as he delivered a death glare.
He didn't even have time to turn around as a large amount of lightning bolts pierced through numerous parts of his body and completely shattered his armor, causing him to fall to the ground in a thud.
