Danny was flying in a hurry, he was held up because Skulker once again tried to rest his pelt on the wall. Danny finally reached his destination the hospital.
After making sure no one saw him, returned to his human form and told the front desk lady "Danny Fenton, here for Sam Fenton." The front pointed the way and off he went.
In the hospital room Sam was laying in the bed holding a sleeping baby in a blanket, when she saw Danny she said "Danny, meet your son." Danny picked up the child and smiled before handing him back to Sam.
I baby boy stated to wake up the show off two green eyes. Sam smiled and said "Aw, he has your eyes." Danny said "He has Danny Phantom's eyes," Sam said "Same thing." Danny asked "So, what his name?" Sam said "I think, Daryl." Danny smiled and said to the baby "Welcome Daryl."
5 years later
Five year old Daryl, who wore a black t-shirt under a green plaid shirt, blue jeans and green and white sneakers, was having lunch at school when suddenly a mechanical ghost appeared, everyone panicked.
The ghost seemed to be looking for something and when he saw something and smiled an evil smile. The ghost swooped down and grabbed Daryl, saying "You'll be the perfect bait for my prey!"
Suddenly the ghost was hit by a ghost ray, the ghost dropped Daryl and as Daryl closed his eyes for the fall, he felt someone lift him up, Daryl opened his eye and saw someone he only heard about, the protector of Amity Park, Danny Phantom.
Danny made sure he found a place safe for Daryl to hide, while he fight Skulker, and then returned to the fight.
After Danny made quick work with Skulker, he flew off, leaving an admiring Daryl who said to himself "One day I'm going to be Danny Phantom's sidekick!"
5 years later
Danny Phantom has just finished a fight with Technus, as he was about to fly away and ten year old Daryl ran up to him and nervously said "Um...Danny Phantom... I'm a big fan of yours, and um I want to ask you a very important question." Danny asked "What is it?"
Daryl was getting more and more nervous and decided to spit it out before he loses his nerve "Will you make me your sidekick?" Danny surprised said "W-What?"
Daryl said "I know you most likely don't remember me, but you saved me from a ghost when I was five and ever since then I looked up to you and wanted to be your sidekick, so please."
Danny said "I appreciate you admire me, but no." Daryl asked "Is it because I'm not a ghost?" Danny said "No, no, nothing like that, it's just what I do is very dangerous and I'm sure you have a family who don't want you hurt."
Danny the flew of, leaving a disappointed Daryl. Daryl then thought "I will prove I can be a great sidekick to you Danny, I'll get stronger, learn more about ghosts until I am worthy to be your sidekick!"
