Chapter 1:
unknown transition.
I never asked for an extraordinary life. That's why I'm called Jaden - an average joe in the unforgiving 2029. I was content with my pathetic existence, spamming a 9-5 job I dreaded, looking forward to a delicious McDonald's dinner that was bad for my health. My nights were an endless loop of cheap beer and cheaper women situations - a seduction game I kept losing.
Anime? Heck no. I had a deep-rooted disdain for this cultural phenomenon, unfathomable tales of ninjas, warriors, heroes, and huge-eyed gals with impossible measurements... until one fateful day.
The jewel... it was just sitting there, gathering dust in the attic - a bizarre piece I had overlooked. Drawn by its mysterious aura, I clutched it and peered into its depths. Little did I know, it was my one-way ticket to join the ranks of those fantastical, big-eyed anime characters I used to laugh at.
The jewel sucked me in, transporting me through a vortex of space and time. I found myself pop in the middle of an afternoon hustle in a city that looked nothing like my modern world. People, cloaked in archaic attire, stared at my jeans and t-shirt with shock. I tried to make for the now dissolving portal but it was too late. The last thing I needed was a Hollywood 'Earth-to-Mars' performance.
A weird bar appeared above my head, blinking with unexplained terms,
"Name: Jaden Vorsonli,
Clan: none,
Status: Genin,
Nature Affinity: Earth, Bloodline Limit: Has up to a 100x durability and speed multiplier,
Proficiency: both Genjutsu and Ninjutsu,
Summon: None.
Level: 1."
What on earth did this gibberish mean?
My puzzled reflections were interrupted by the arrival of a woman who emerged in buxom beauty - a stereotypical anime character. Tsuari, as she introduced herself, came forward with a look of concern. She seemed to have read right through my befuddlement and offered some clarity.
"'Bloodline Limit, Nature Affinity', it's all linked to the world we live in, the art of ninjutsu and genjutsu, the powers we possess," she explained. "Nature Affinity implies what element you can use in your jutsu. You, for instance, can use the Earth element in your jutsu."
Understanding nothing of what she said, I paid heed to the only words that mattered to me at that moment, "You need to raise your status. Become strong enough. Become a Kage or even a Hokage".
As she left me standing there, I was fumbling with a patent lack of clues but the confidence of a man on a mission. I still dreaded the job I was never going to see again, but I had a different set of objectives now, one of which was quite clear; I was going to bed that Tsuari girl, one way or another. It was going to be interesting playing this new seduction game against a background of colorful new rules.
"Hold on to your belts, Hidden Leaf Village," I muttered under my breath, "An average Joe, with unknown powers, yet extraordinary intentions, has landed."
And so, my unexpected adventure in the Naruto universe had begun. In spite of the chaos, the feeling wasn't completely dreadful. Instead, it sparked a strange excitement inside me, a fresh take on life I never knew I needed. I still had no clue what being a genin or a Hokage meant, but I was ready to play along, ready to enjoy this alien to my world, Jaden Vorsonli, your average joe-turned-ninja, unraveling this anime page at a time.
Thanks for reading and I would love some input on where you guys think the plot should go and who should be in the harem.
