Authors Notes- And here I am back again with yet another chapter to Shattered Glass. As you can gather by now I only own the plot. Everything else belongs to Hasbro. Now that we got that out of the way here is Chapter Seven. I hope you enjoy.

Raf was nervous. Even more nervous than he had ever been. Even more so than he had been when he first entered high school. Being the only twelve year old to go to high school had been nerve wracking, back then all eyes had been on him, looking at him like he didn't belong there. But this was different, this wasn't high school as he stood beside Agent Fowler, as a bright green and blue swirling vortex opened before them. Raf's poor heart felt like it was going to burst from his chest at the mere sight of it.

"This is it, are you ready?" Fowler asked, placing a hand on his shoulder.

Swallowing thickly he nodded. It was now or never he thought as Fowler lead him through the portal. Stepping through they came out into a darkened cave. Raf stumbled slightly as he did, the walk through ground bridge leaving him a little bit jittery, it was certainly an experience. Shaking that feeling off he straightened and looked around the cave, as the ground bridge closed behind them. His mouth agape as he continued to look around, noting the strange technology and such. Things he had never seen before, it would seem that Agent Fowler was not wrong about the aliens. As he moved to one of the consoles, looking up at the screen as strange symbols scrolled across it. No doubt in a language he had never seen before.

However, before Raf could even try to make heads or tails of it he heard footsteps, really heavy footsteps coming up behind him. Tearing his eyes away from the screen he turned around, mouth falling open as he started up at the metal titan looming over him. Raf continued to gape at the sterling silver being as it looked to Fowler. It was then Raf noticed the smaller, thinner mech standing beside him. The one he recognized as the one that had pulled him from the rubble days ago. It wore an visor on its faceplate, making it hard for Raf to decipher what he was thinking as he looked down at him. And thought Fowler had reassured him countless times that he had nothing to fear from these Decepticons. But, he couldn't but feel a little unnerved, as the faceless Decepticon continued to stare.

"This is the one?" The first one spoke.

Fowler nodded, placing his hand on Raf's shoulder, making him jump slightly. "Raf, this is Megatron, leader of the Decepticons." As Fowler said that, the one called Megatron crouched down before them.

"Hello," Megatron greeted. "As Agent Fowler said I am Megatron, and this," he turned to the smaller Decepticon, who stood silently at his side. "Is Soundwave."

"H-Hello," Raf somehow managed to choke out. "I-I'm Raf." At that Megatron smiled down at him. "P-pleased to meet you." Raf cringed as those words left his mouth.

But what else was he to say? Raf was never good with words, or conversations. He was always so focused busying himself with his nose in a book, or transfixed with something on his computer. Most people usually left him alone, unless they wanted something from him, like for him to do their homework for them. Not that he ever did, but damned if they didn't try. But this was not the case, so why was he so nervous? He had nothing to be afraid of, but here he was standing before a titan and he couldn't help but be afraid.

But, soon curiosity overrode fear, as he continued to look up at Megatron and Soundwave. Swallowing again Raf took a deep breath. "I-I want to know everything, tell me everything... please?"

Megatron was silent as he looked down at the boy, the corner of his mouth turning upwards. The boy was curious, interesting. He had been about to oblige the boy, when Soundwave informed him that Knock Out and Breakdown were arriving. The Warlord looked up as the doors slid open, and the still battered forms of Knock Out and Breakdown drove in. Raf turned to face them, the same curious look on his face. A look that soon turned to one of surprise as the two Decepticons allowed their passengers out before transforming.

Knock Out wincing as he did so, obviously still feeling the effects of the fight days ago. Raf stood there staring, mouth agape as he looked up at them, eyes wide.

"Is this the one Soundwave saved from the rubble?" Breakdown asked. The blue Decepticon stood before Raf, as the boy took a couple steps back, backing into Megatron's foot as he did so. Megatron let out a chuckle as he did so, looking down at Raf.

"That he is, Raf this is Breakdown." Megatron said, gesturing to the mech in question. "And this is Knock Out, my medic." The two of them nodded to Raf, who managed to stammer out a weak hello, before his gaze settled on the two other humans that had arrived with them.

His eyes lighting up when he recognized them as couple of his classmates from school. Whose names alluded him.

Jack's eyes widened as he saw Raf near Megatron, wasting no time Jack, followed by Miko moved to where Raf stood.

"Hey, I know you." Miko said, eyes lighting up as she looked to Raf. "You're that kid from school, uh..." she trailed off, trying to remember his name.

"Raf." Raf supplied, holding out his hand to her, which Miko took before offering it to Jack.

A look of apprehension on the older boys face as he looked up at Megatron. "Um, are you sure it's wise to have a kid involved?" He asked.

"Technically aren't you all children?" Knock Out asked, arching an optic brow at him.

"Well, yes but no Raf is-"

"I'm sure I can be of some help, i-if that's why I'm here." Raf cut in, looking up at Megatron.

Megatron was silent, he knew the only reason any of the kids were with them was for their protection. And while Raf hadn't been caught in the middle of the chaos like Jack and Miko is never hurt to be safe. Megatron wasn't going to take any chances. The Autobots would do anything to draw him out. Crouching before Raf once more intent on telling him everything as he had Jack and Miko.

But, as he did regret formed in his chest, he never wanted these children involved. But now they were and he sincerely hoped he and his Decepticons would be able to keep them safe.

Raf listened intently as Megatron and the rest of his Decepticons told him everything. And as Megatron and the others soon found out the boy had no shortage of questions. Something both Megatron and Soundwave found endearing. However, before they could continue on with their conversation Soundwave informed Megatron of energon readings.

Megatron straightened, a frown etched on his faceplate.

"Something wrong?" Raf asked, as all three humans looked up at them

"It would seem there is an energon mine nearby." Megatron said.

"Energon?" Raf inquired.

"The very thing that fuels our weapons and basically everything else." Knock Out supplied.

Megatron worried at his bottom lip, as of right now he was down two men, and Airachnid, Dreadwing, and Starscream were all out on another mission. So, that only left him, Soundwave and... Megatron bit his lip once more. As he looked to Breakdown. Sure, the mech was still recovering from his injuries much like Knock Out, but Megatron had no other choice.

"Soundwave, Breakdown, with me." He ordered, as another ground bridge opened up before the three of them. Leaving Knock Out and the kids alone.

Silence soon permeated through out the base as they looked to Knock Out.

"So," Raf asked, looking up at Knock Out, as the medic turned away from them to work on something. "What do we do now?"

Knock Out thought for a moment then shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know...Hey! Weren't there three of you?"

Blinking Jack looked to Raf, then noticed that Miko wasn't around. Eyes widening then they looked all around the base, calling out her name, and got no response. Realization hitting them.

"You don't think that she..." Raf trailed off. Looking to where the ground bridge was then to Jack once more.

Dread formed in the pit of Poor Jack's stomach at the suggestion. Miko couldn't have tagged along with Megatron and the others, could she? No, she couldn't be that stupid. Not after all they had endured, right?

Right?!

This. Was. So. Cool! Miko thought as she crept through a heavily wooded area. She didn't know where she was, or where the Decepticons were. But she knew one thing that if the Autobots were around she would have front row seats to see Breakdown lay the smackdown on them. Biting down on her bottom lip she made her way down the forest trail.

Until after what seemed like forever she came to a clearing. And to her horror as she stepped out, her eyes widening as she saw the bloody bodies of several men. Blood stained the ground, looks of horror etched on their faces before death. Whatever had happened to them it wasn't pretty. Miko swallowed thickly, glancing briefly over her shoulder, expecting whoever had done this to be standing behind her, but much to her relief that was not the case.

Tearing her gaze away from the carnage she caught sight of a cave off in the distance. Obviously these men had been working in the cave when something happened. Placing a hand over her mouth she looked down at the bodies once more, noting that some of them looked like they had been crushed by something big. Others were charred, others looked like they had been pulled apart. Miko had no doubt in her mind that whatever happened to these poor souls it had to do with the Autobots.

Biting down on her bottom lip she glanced over her shoulder once more, half expecting to see either Cliffjumper or Arcee appearing behind her, and thankfully still nothing. It was quiet. Now, any normal person would have turned tail and ran for safety. Or contact someone to come pick her up. But Miko wasn't one to give up so quickly. Moving further into the clearing her foot stepped on something squishy, blinking she looked down, and found that she had stepped on some poor souls entrails. Lifeless grey eyes staring up at her as Miko let out a startled gasp, and backed away, hand clamped over her mouth as bile rose, threating to purge the contents on her stomach onto the ground. What had happened here?

However, before she could dwell on that thought, a large shadow fell over her. Looking up Miko gasped as a large green Autobot loomed over her. And the Autobot in question was staring right at her! Neither of them said a thing as Miko continued to stare up at him.

"Well, what do we have here?" The Autobot growled, a cold smile splitting his faceplate. As his hand transformed into a wrecking ball, as Miko took a few steps back. Heart thundering in her chest, eyes wide as she saw the blood staining it. "Another little human vermin about to get squished." He growled, as he raised his arm, ready to turn her into a fine paste.

When as he brought his arm down, someone scooped her up and out of harms way. Looking up she saw that it was Breakdown that had come to her rescue.

"What are you doing here?" Breakdown growled, glaring down at her.

"I was just-"

"Never mind!" Breakdown huffed, turning his narrowed gaze to the green Autobot. " Just find some place to hide while I take care of him." He said, as he placed Miko on the ground, watching as she darted behind some rocks, before turning on his adversary.

"Breakdown!" The green Autobot said, a smirk on his faceplate. "Long time no see."

"Not long enough, Bulkhead." Breakdown growled, fists clenched.

The once called Bulkhead scowled as he glared at Breakdown. "You're lookin' a little rough there, buddy. Arcee and Cliffjumper give you and your little boyfriend a run for your money the last time they saw you, I see." Bulkhead said.

"Nothing I haven't dealt with before." Breakdown growled, transforming his hands into hammers, yellow optics blazing.

Not wanting to waste another moment talking Breakdown charged at Bulkhead. The green wrecker charging at him. All the while Miko peered out from behind her hiding place, as the sound of metal hitting metal reached her ears. A wide grin on her face, eyes lighting up. However, she was soon jerked from her thoughts as another shadow loomed over her. And found herself staring up into the cold blue optics of another Autobot, just as it reached for her.

And at that moment she began to regret tagging along...
