Mystery of the Dark Animal Tamer

A peaceful forest just outside of Canterlot City where some animals are enjoying themselves like they always do every day, birds chirping and flying in the air while the ground animals are doing their own things like rabbits hopping around.

Then there are some of the larger animals living in these very woods such as the six-legged man size bloodhound walking around as it is his job to make sure nothing dangerous happens in this part of the area since it's his territory.

But then the six-legged bloodhound notice an odd scent in the air as his nose caught it.

"What a wonderful creature, you are." A female voice said to the dog monster.

The six-legged bloodhound turn his turn to a strange figure wearing a dark red cloak covering the whole body leaving very, very little to the imagination of who this mystery person could be, but the dog monster can already tell this one is bad news from his instincts.

"Here you are, guarding the very home you were born in and sworn to never let anything bad happen." The mysterious woman stated.

The cloaked woman started walking over to the dog monster with her shoes revealing to be yellow wooden sandals with blue stripes that look just like the Japanese Geta.

The six-legged bloodhound growls at the mysterious woman telling her that she should not come any further or else.

"Yes, show me that rage." The mysterious woman smiled, showing one sharp fang among her teeth.

The six-legged bloodhound growls a little louder and clenches his paws onto the ground seeing that this woman isn't fazed from his scary face, which means he will have to force this female to leave the woods.

"You certainly don't like any strangers entering your territory, making you angry." The mysterious woman pointed out as she continues to walk closer.

Feeling his anger raising the more this woman ignores his warnings to leave the forest now and the patients growing very thin, he could no longer contain himself to attack this intruder.

"That anger is what I'll nee for my plan." The mysterious said as she held up one hand.

The six-legged bloodhound barks loud with rage that he is going to kill this woman right here and use her body to be feed to Mother Earth, he charges forward to start the brutal killing of this woman.

The mysterious woman isn't scared by this dog one bit as she smirks and both of her eyes glow dark red with some faint white in the middle of each eye, her hands glow the same color and the bloodhound suddenly find himself pause in the air.

The six-legged bloodhound is very confused about what is happening right now, only to suddenly be slammed down onto the ground and quite painfully too.

"Now, why don't you lend me all that angry?" The mysterious woman smirked as she pulls out a vail from her cloak.

"Time for another test upon the city, and hopefully it'll be a "fun" experience for everyone." The mysterious woman chuckled some more as some black and purple mist came out of the vail reaching to the bloodhound.

The six-legged bloodhound struggles in vain to get himself back up until he started to feel weird when the mist made contact to his body, the dog monster twitches his body for a moment almost like he was in pain until he stops twitching and grew with his eyes open glowing dark red.

"Good, works perfectly just like those fruit bats." The mysterious woman smirked.

The mysterious woman undid her magic letting the dog monster to stand on his six paws and let out a loud howl that echoes throughout the forest.

(With Spike)

Spike is seen sitting on his chair looking out the window as he is deep in thoughts about something that has been on his mind for some time now.

"This bugs me deeply, and it's not the kind of bugging that can be shoo away." Spike said.

"Maybe you need a cupcake to cheer you up." Pinkie said, appearing behind her dragon lover and offering him a green frosted cupcake.

"While I appreciate the sweet thought, I'm afraid it won't make the thoughts I've been having go away." Spike said as he took the cupcake in his hand.

"Then why not talk about it, that should make you feel better." Pinkie suggested, leaning forward to press her breasts onto his back.

"Well, if you insist." Spike chuckled.

"I've been thinking about that fight we had with the fruit bat monsters." Spike mentioned.

"Oh yeah, those guys sure were being batty and not in a good way." Pinkie commented.

"What's batty is about their behavior being alter somehow, like there's some force that made those bats go crazy on Applejack's farm like that. And that isn't the first time we encounter something strange." Spike said.

"There was also the Timberwolves, you girls told me they don't attack anyone on the path that goes through the Everfree Forest." Spike mentioned.

"And you almost blew up the entire forest." Pinkie remembered that epic part.

"Pinkie, I don't think it was a coincidence that those monsters were acting weird, not unless they were made to do them." Spike stated.

"You think someone out there is making those animals party bad?" Pinkie asked as she moves to his front.

"That's my theory, but I don't have anything else to go with and I can't exactly do an investigation if I don't know where to start." Spike said.

"Maybe you should try searching for something that could cause an animal to behave strangely like a spell or a potion with a mist that comes out or a magic item that can cause a change in the personalities." Pinkie suggested those specific things surprisingly.

"Hmm, that might be worth a shot." Spike said, seeing he got nothing else to go on.

"Great, then you can go with Twilight to the library since she has to return a book today!" Pinkie suggested.

"Very well, then I'm off to the library!" Spike declared as he stood up and Pinkie hanging onto his neck.

"Oh, do we also need something while we're out?" Spike asked.

"Hmm, no, I think we're good!" Pinkie answered and gave Spike a big kissing on the lips causing him to fall on his back to the floor.

(Canterlot Library)

Twilight and Spike are walking together through the streets to make their way to the library where the Emerald Dragon Roar can hopefully find something that's relate to those incidents, but he also knows it's going to be a hard search.

"Thanks again for allowing me to come with you, Twilight." Spike thanked.

"No problem, when you told me about what you thought about the Timberwolves and the Back Death Bats, I also thought about their strange behaviors that might have been the cause of magic from someone or something." Twilight shared her same thoughts on this subject.

"Glad to know, it's a shame that Sunset couldn't be with us for this research." Spike said, remembering that Sunset has to be somewhere today.

"Adding her help would have been a great help." Spike said.

"True, but I'm sure we'll be able to figure this out together." Twilight believed.

"(Still, going on a study session with Spike, alone, just the two of us together at the library, this almost feels like we're going on a date than just studying.)" Twilight thought nervously.

Then Twilight started having a weird fantasy thought about finding herself in a library yet only wearing a bathrobe while reading a book, then Spike comes in wearing nothing but a towel covering the lower half of his body as he walks over to Twilight.

"(Wait, why am I thinking of that right now?!)" Twilight thought gasped and her face blushed.

"Twilight, are you okay? Your horn is steaming." Spike asked concern as he notice her horn is looking a bit warmer.

"Fine! I'm totally fine, just excited to be going to the library!" Twilight tried to play it cool.

"(Oh, sweet Celestia! I'm really falling for him, am I?)" Twilight thought asked herself.

"So, how are we to the library?" Spike asked.

"Oh, the library, yes!" Twilight quickly got back to where they are going right now.

"We're not going far because we're already here!" Twilight gestured to the big building in front of them.

"By the Dragon Gods, this is your library?" Spike amazed.

The Canterlot Library is a really big building about three stories high and very wide for about two blocks away, this looks a little more like those important fancy hotels for the rich and important figures to go for a getaway from work than a mere library.

"Sheesh, whoever made the library just really be into books like glue." Spike commented.

"Well, I think it's the perfect place for the gathering of any kinds of books that have been known throughout the land." Twilight smiled excitedly.

"Will we even be able to find the ones we're looking for in here?" Spike asked.

"Oh, we most definitely will!" Twilight nodded.

"You are very fortunate to have since I know my way around this library like every inch of my horn and the back of my hand!" Twilight smiled as she flew up a little.

"Yeah, good thing too." Spike smiled.

"Come on, let's go see what we can find!" Twilight grabbed Spike's hand and drags him toward the library.

Twilight and Spike enter the library where the Dragon Lord can see this place is about three times bigger than the library he knew back in his old world, and not only that but the books themselves are floating around going to the shelves they belong and maybe to the readers who requested them.

"Wow!" Spike impressed with this place.

"Twilight Sparkle, how nice of you to come by again!" The librarian greeted the winged horn girl.

"Hello, I'm here to return the book I borrow." Twilight showed the book.

"And right on time too, there's a little colt who has been looking for this book since yesterday and will be glad to know that he can read it." The librarian smiled as he took the book.

"Greetings." Spike greeted the librarian.

"Oh my, you must be the Dragon Lord who suddenly showed up in the city with Twilight and her two friends! I feel honor!" The librarian shocked.

"Please, no need to be formal with me, good sir. Just treat me like any others who come here." Spike said.

"Got any new books?" Twilight asked.

"Nope, nothing so far, but I should be getting a shipment of some new fresher books of the old ones very soon." The librarian answered.

"Great!" Twilight squealed clapping her hands.

"(Sheesh, this girl really loves books. I'm afraid to ask how much she loves them.)" Spike thought sweatdropped from this.

"Mr. Librarian, do you by any chance have any books about magic spells or items that can alter the behavior of living beings like animals?" Spike asked.

"Oh my, that sounds like a mystery request." The Librarian surprised to hear.

"It's because we're trying to solve a mystery that involves a few incidents we had encounter; we're hoping to find something that can help us." Twilight explained.

"I do love a good mystery, it's one of my top three favorite genres in the world!" The Librarian clapped his hand.

"If this is relating to animals and changing their behaviors, then you should check at the magical animals and Tamer magic section." The librarian suggested.

"Then that's where we should go." Spike said.

"Wait, do you want to get a library card if you're interested in coming here again?" The Librarian asked.

"Not right now, but maybe later." Spike said as he and Twilight walk away.

"Oh, and you can also call me Bücherwurm, if you like!" The Librarian revealed his name.

Spike and Twilight walk around the library while the Dragon Lord is having a field day with how big and amazing this place is, he has never been this excited about a library before and yet this place seems to be the exception.

"So, you've been here lots of times, right?" Spike asked Twilight.

"That's right, you could say the librarian has been like a second home to me whenever I need to get away from the pleasure of being under Celestia's wings and some other personal things, I come here to relax and the stress I feel are washed away." Twilight explained as she looks at the section tags.

"This way." Twilight pointed the way, and they walk together.

"Must be nice to have something to keep you occupied, I just stay in my castle to perform my duties and wait for the next adventurer to challenge my strength and work on my spells every once and a while." Spike mentioned, remembering those times in the online game.

"Well, maybe you should try doing other things like reading a book or going out to enjoy the fresh air." Twilight advised.

"(Huh, you sound like my mom who isn't wrong most of the time.)" Spike thought surprised as that reminds him of his mom.

"Bet you learned all kinds of spells by just coming here." Spike said.

"Not just spells, but I also come here to read any kinds of books I can get my hands on like the research meaning in magic with the findings, and maybe a few adventuring books here and there." Twilight blushed at the last part.

"Does that mean your big brain will be able to help us find what we are looking for?" Spike asked curiously.

"I think so, we just got to look through every book and read every detail in order to narrow down the search." Twilight said.

(Outside the Wall of Canterlot City)

The six-legged bloodhound, now looking a few feet bigger and stronger and meaner, is glaring at the wall with a vicious growl until he suddenly ran for the wall like the charge is meant to smash right through it.

But the charge wasn't meant for smashing, what the bloodhound did was unbelievable.

Once the dog monster reaches the wall, it ran right up the wall faster than when he started running a moment ago and kept running fast until the top of the wall was only a few feet away.

"So, you free this weekend?" One Male guard tried to ask out a female guard.

But the six-legged bloodhound jump over the top spooking the two guards as the dog monster sent itself flying high over the city and soon dives down to crash into one building.

The Canterlot Library.

(With Spike and Twilight)

"Here we are, this section should help us." Twilight gestured to the magical animals and Tamer magic section which are next to each other on the second floor.

"Great, this is going to be a long search…" Spike exclaimed, wishing he knew a spell that can make him read books really fast.

Suddenly the six-legged bloodhound came crashing down from the roof, the crash also crushes the shelves below it and knocks down the other bookshelves like they are dominos along with big cracks on the floor.

Luckily, Spike was able to pull Twilight close to him to form a forcefield to protect them both, Twilight felt her heart just skipped a beat in the moment until she pulls herself together.

"What just happened?" Twilight asked.

The dog monster howls loud with a faint red shockwave burst from his body that got everyone's attention that they started panicking and run away from the dog monster.

"Well, that answers my question." Twilight said.

"Looks like someone forget to teach that dog some manners." Spike readied himself to fight.

"Wait, I recognize that dog from the animal books I read with Fluttershy! That's a six-legged Bloodhound!" Twilight informed.

"Anything I should know about this mutt?" Spike asked.

"The thing is, they never leave their territory which is usually the forest outside of the city and would attack anyone and other animals that dares to enter that area. But other than that, they can be friendly if you approach them with peace in mind." Twilight explained.

"Never leaves nor attack if not provoke. That means this mystery just came to us." Spike believed the weird animal behaving case has now happen here.
