Chapter 16: The Energon Mines
After the Autobot graduation ceremony, Knock Out does his thing as he removes the old Decepticon insignia off of Orion Eclipse's chest before he uses his welding tool to strap on his new red Autobot insignia. Of course, the young bot didn't want to say goodbye to the old symbol on his chest, but now he was glad to put on a new symbol to show that he is now on the winning team of the Autobots.
"Welcome to the winning team, Orion Eclipse," said Knock Out before he was done with putting the insignia onto the new Autobot's chest. "How do you feel now that you've graduated?" he asked politely.
"I feel good, yet I also feel a bit nervous," said Orion Eclipse.
"Don't worry, kid. You'll return home to Earth soon and once you're reunited with your human friend, Anthony, you can tell him everything," Knock Out promised.
Orion Eclipse took a deep sigh as he looks down at the Autobot insignia on his chest before he stands up from his seat before his mentor, Ironhide, came over for a visit. "Greetings, Knock Out. May I borrow my student for a minute?" he asked. Knock Out nodded 'yes' with a friendly bow before he gestures to Orion Eclipse to spend some time with his Autobot mentor. The young Ex-Decepticon amnesiac greets Ironhide with a handshake before he speaks to him. "Hey, Ironhide. How are you today?" Orion asked. "Oh, I'm doing fine. I got you something." Ironhide said to his apprentice. "Oh? What is it?" Orion asked. "It's a graduation gift and it's a surprise. Come with me." the old red Autobot said.
Orion Eclipse followed his mentor outside the room where Knock Out was and Ironhide leads his new Autobot apprentice to a larger room where his wife, Chromia, and his son, Storm Bringer were having Energon drinks. "Hello, Chromia." Ironhide greeted his Conjunx-Endura. "Ironhide." Chromia greeted her husband with a kiss. "Hey, Dad." Storm Bringer said as he greeted his father with a warm hug. "Orion Eclipse, I'd like you to meet my family. This is my Conjunx-Endura, Chromia, and my son, Storm Bringer." Ironhide introduced his family to Orion Eclipse.
Orion waves at the light blue femme bot and her adolescent sparkling. "Hi. It's an honor to meet you both," he said. "Ironhide has told us about you, Orion Eclipse. You must be his apprentice who used to be a stranded Decepticon amnesiac," said Chromia. "Uh, yes, ma'am. I-I had just become a new member of the Autobots and...and Ultra Magnus just gave me my new insignia before Knock Out embedded it onto my chest after he removed the old Decepticon symbol." Orion Eclipse told her. "Also, I just became a graduate student for finishing my final test of training," he mentioned. "Well, congratulations, Orion. You're an Autobot, now." Chromia congratulated the young bot. "My Conjunx-Endura taught you well. Right, Ironhide?" she asked the old red mech. "Yes, dear. Orion, stay right here with my family while I go get you your graduation gift, alright?" he told the young Ex-Decepticon.
"Okay, Ironhide." Orion Eclipse replied to his mentor.
"Good. I'll be right back." Ironhide said before he left.
Three minutes later, Ironhide returned to his wife and son while carrying something that is wrapped in cloth-like wrapping before he brings it over to his apprentice. Orion now became curious about this graduation gift that Ironhide was going to give him. "What is that?" he asked. "Open it up," Ironhide told him. The old red mech gave the strange object to Orion Eclipse and he excitedly unwrapped it before he was surprised to see a Cybertronian shield with an Autobot Insignia at its center. The shield itself was the color of silver like it was made out of titanium metal. Orion Eclipse was glad that the shield was light enough for him to carry as he begins to analyze it before Ironhide tells his apprentice about his graduation gift.
"Woah, what kind of shield is it?" Orion asked Ironhide.
"That is a Cybernetic Energy Shield. Made out of the finest and strongest metals of Cybertron. It can deflect any laser beams or any physical attacks and it has a powerful force-field that can push your enemies backward if they hit the shield hard enough." Ironhide explained.
"Cool! Is this my graduation gift?" Orion Eclipse asked. Ironhide nodded. "Mmm-hmm," "And I can use it to protect myself and others?" the young bot questioned. "Yes, lad."
Meanwhile, at the New Decepticons warship called The Devastator, Doomsayer was standing still with his hands locked behind his back when his medical officer, Astrocharge, came to tell him something. "Master?" he said. Doomsayer didn't turn his head around as he answered, "What is it now, Astrocharge?" he asked. "We're running low on Energon, sir." the blue Decepticon responded. "And? What else is there to report?" Doomsayer asked. "Well, we are still searching hard for the Autobot base and Unicron's Anti-Spark. We tried searching for our enemies' base at Iacon City and Autobot City but we had no luck. We've been plotting the demise of our enemies for several weeks now since we came back from exile thanks to our lord and master, Unicron the Chaos Bringer." Astrocharge told his leader.
"True, but the Autobot base shouldn't really be THAT hard to find now, wouldn't it? Since our enemies usually were in Iacon before that fiend, Megatron, ruined it during the Great War, or so we thought. We have been cast out of Cybertron and have been lost in space for countless stellar cycles thanks to him!" Doomsayer stated. "As soon as we find Megatron, I will have Starscream extinguish his old spark...permanently!" he growled.
Just then, Starscream and Skywarp return to the Devastator with two pieces of great news: they have finally found the Dark Star Saber from the depths of the ocean, thanks to the humans in the navy who have found it first before the two Decepticon seekers took the purple sword back so that Doomsayer and Starscream could use it to terminate Megatron once they've found him. And they have found some more Energon underground the Earth at Boise, Idaho.
"Master! We have found the Dark Star Saber!" Skywarp said while holding the purple sword right next to his new partner, Starscream. Starscream was excited when he and Skywarp have found the weapon itself and Doomsayer was very pleased that the Dark Star Saber itself wasn't broken.
"Excellent work, my seekers! You have done well, although it took you more than a weekend to find that sword which was forged from the very Blood of Unicron thanks to that traitor, Megatron, when he used the Forge of Solus Prime herself." Doomsayer inquired.
"But that's not all we've found, Master." Skywarp said before he said to his master, "Starscream and I have found some more Energon underneath the Earth at a place called, Boise Idaho. We were about to investigate, but then we had to hide from these fleshlings that are called, humans." he explained.
"Humans?...Yes, the petty insects that run around Unicron's Earth...like parasites!" Doomsayer replied. "Did you managed to collect some of that Energon that was hidden somewhere?" he asked. Starscream nodded, "We were only able to collect as many as possible, my liege. But there were so many Energon crystals in that deep tunnel underground that it'll require more than a few bots to dig them all in what I could best describe as a new Energon Mine." he said.
"Please, Starscream. Tell me more about these humans. If I remember correctly, you told me that the Autobots seem to...care and value the lives of these fleshies that crawl around the Earth. So what makes them seem so special to the Autobots?" Doomsayer asked.
"All I know is that humans are like vermin. The Autobots seem to admire them like they're their friends or as I like to call them, their pets. But I see humans as annoying pests. I remembered years ago, I had this human girl attack and humiliate me while using the Apex Armor, and I remembered this young human male named, Jack, who was close friends with that two-wheeler, Arcee. And then there's this little human boy in the glasses who was best friends with Bumblebee when he had no voice box." Starscream explained.
Doomsayer thought for a moment. He thought about the humans, then the Energon underground at Boise, Idaho, and then he thought about the Autobots before he had an idea. Doomsayer chuckled evilly before he told his New Decepticon thugs, "Men, I have a plan...and it includes another death trap for the Autobots." Crossfire was intrigued with whatever plan the leader and founder of the New Decepticons had in mind. "Ooh! Sounds like fun, Master." said the orange Decepticon femme bot. "Activate the space bridge at once. Let us pay a little visit to the Earth and its humans." Doomsayer ordered his New Decepticons.
Orion Eclipse was testing out his new shield at the training room with Ironhide as his Autobot mentor. The young mech was starting to get the hang of it when suddenly, they got a call from Bulkhead. "Ironhide! The 'Cons have sent another message to us!" Ironhide looked surprised. "They are?!" The old red Autobot knew that the message was from the evil Doomsayer. "Come with me, Orion," Ironhide told his apprentice.
"What's going on?" Orion Eclipse said. "It's Doomsayer again. We're going to meet with Ultra Magnus and the others to find out what that fiend is up to." Ironhide told him. Orion followed his mentor over to a large room where they join the Autobots and their current leader as they received another video message from Doomsayer. This time, he and his New Decepticons are underground at some kind of Energon Mine on Earth.
To Orion's shock and horror, he saw that they have captured some random humans from Boise, Idaho. And Doomsayer had forced them to wear alien spacesuits to protect them while they're being forced to mine for some Energon at the underground. And one of the humans that the enemy had both captured and enslaved was Anthony Carter and his family. Orion Eclipse gasped with shock in his voice. "Anthony! They've captured Anthony and the humans!" He said.
As Doomsayer recorded the video of him and his minions forcing the humans into slave labor, he challenges the Autobots to travel to Earth in Boise, Idaho, and surrender Unicron's Anti-Spark to him and his New Decepticons if they wish to save the humans underground. "Ultra Magnus! I know that you and your Autobots can hear me! If you wish to save these weak fleshlings from being forced to work at the Energon Mines till they drop, then bring me Unicron's Anti-Spark or else! If you and your Autobots do not come in time before sundown, then my followers and I will slaughter the people of Earth and the innocent blood will be spilled!!!" Doomsayer threatened before turning off the video message for the Autobots.
"We're not really going to give in to his demands, are we?" Strongarm questioned Ultra Magnus. "We may not have a choice. But if we don't surrender the Anti-Spark, Doomsayer will bring harm to these humans on Earth. I say we travel to Earth, find the Energon Mines and save these innocent people or else the New Decepticons will either kill them or use them for scientific experiments. We'll even put Doomsayer and his horde to justice as we trick them into believing we have Unicron's Anti-Spark." The blue and red Autobot leader decreed.
"Ratchet, activate the space bridge!" Ultra Magnus ordered the white and orange medic. "Yes, sir!" Ratchet replied. Orion Eclipse walked through the Autobots to speak to Ultra Magnus as he said, "I'm coming with you." The Autobots looked to Orion Eclipse and their leader said. "I understand you want to help, Orion Eclipse. But we cannot put you at great risk."
But Orion would not back down so easily. "But my friend is in danger! He needs help, I've got to save him! I cannot allow Doomsayer and any of his followers to lay a finger on him or his family." Ultra Magnus paused but then he sighed. "Very well, Orion. But be warned, Doomsayer is more dangerous than you realize and that includes his New Decepticons. You can come with us and you can help us fight the enemy, save the humans and free your friend." The Autobot leader told the young bot. "Thank you." Said Orion Eclipse. "Autobots! Transform and roll out!" Ultra Magnus said with Optimus Prime's catchphrase.
It was a terrifying day for Anthony Carter and his family. They've all been captured by Doomsayer and his New Decepticons and the Carters had been forced to wear these strange spacesuits to protect them from Energon since it's harmful to humans. Anthony and his family were forced to work as slaves at the Energon Mines along with some other random humans who were also captured by these giant robot bastards who were up to no good.
Doomsayer wanted to set another trap for the Autobots so he and his followers are using the humans as bait for their enemies so that they can force them to hand over Unicron's Anti-Spark for their evil purpose to revive the Chaos Bringer himself. While mining in the cavern full of blue Energon crystals, Anthony Carter was concerned for his mother and step-father and he now wished that Orion Eclipse would come back to Earth to save them.
"It'll be alright, Anthony. I promise." Katherine said to her son, Anthony.
"No talking, slave! Get back to work, humans!" Motorstrike yelled at the two while holding a large electro whip in his hand servo. He threatened to punish Anthony and his mother severely if they don't resume to mine the Energon supply for Doomsayer. "Lord Doomsayer wants the Energon for our warship." the green and purple Decepticon said.
"Hey! Leave my family alone you!" Jonathan Dave Carter yelled at Motorstrike. "Let us go, you giant metal bastard!" he demanded angrily.
"Shut up, puny human! Unless you wanna get whipped to slag!" Motorstrike threatened as he made a loud snapping sound with his electro whip, frightening the children among the poor people who were forced into slave labor. "Mommy, I'm scared!" a little girl cried to her mom in fear.
Doomsayer walked through the Energon Mines with his arms locked behind his back along with Astrocharge, Skywarp, Crossfire, Reflector, Thunderlight, and some of their own Vheicons who were much deadlier than Megatron's Vheicons. They kept an eye or optic out for any human who would dare try to escape or resist their slave masters. "The Autobots will be here any minute now, my lord," Skywarp said.
"Good. Then let us hope that they bring the Anti-Spark in exchange for the freedom of these insects." Doomsayer replied. Starscream spotted an adolescent girl running away from the children who were being locked away in cages by the New Decepticons before Doomsayer saw the girl and he picked her up with his claws as the child screamed in fright.
"What's the matter, child? You scared of my New Decepticons?" Doomsayer asked mockingly before he decided to feed the human girl to one of the New Vheicons with razor-sharp teeth and red eyes. Anthony Carter was horrified and so was everybody as Doomsayer walked towards the Vheicon with the little girl crying and knowing she was too young to die.
"Awww, you don't like my New Vheicons, little girl?" Doomsayer asked the frightened little girl in his clutches. "NO! Please, don't hurt my baby!!!" the little girl's mom begged. But just before Doomsayer could feed the child to the blood-thirsty Vheicon, Anthony couldn't take it anymore as he ran in front of the frightened crowds of people and shouted at the warlord.
"LEAVE HER ALONE!!!" Anthony Carter shouted at Doomsayer.
Doomsayer stopped and he looked at the teenage boy with his red optics burning at him with a confused expression. He didn't expect that a young human male would stand up to him. Doomsayer glared at Anthony Carter before they stared each other down as if trying to find each other's weakness. The Herald of Unicron could see the courage in Anthony's eyes. "What did you say to me, human?" Doomsayer asked sternly.
"You heard me! Let the kid go, you monster!" Anthony told the warlord. "You want her? Go ahead, take her then." Doomsayer gave the little girl to Anthony Carter and he brought her back to her worrying parents who were relieved to see that their 5-year-old daughter was safe from harm thanks to Anthony Carter.
Doomsayer continued to glare at Anthony and his parents were now really concerned that the giant robot could just step on him like a bug. But instead of killing the teenager, Doomsayer said to the boy, "You think YOU can stand up to me? DO YOU?!? I am the Lord of the New Decepticons and you will obey me and my followers or else I will have peel the flesh from your bones, human!"
"Go fuck yourself, Doomsday!" Anthony cussed at the evil Decepticon warlord.
"That's LORD DOOMSAYER TO YOU!!! Guards! Take this insolent brat and his family and lock them up!" Doomsayer ordered his minions. "Yes, sir!" Astrocharge agreed. "Get your claws off me, you damn dirty robot!" Jonathan Dave Carter yelled as Motorstrike grabbed him. Suddenly, Starscream sees the space bridge portal opening and a few Autobots were coming out. "My lord! We've got company!" Starscream said. "Ah, finally." Doomsayer replied as he made a malevolent smile. "Doomsayer! Release the humans now and surrender!" Ultra Magnus told the evil mech.
"Surrender? Hahahaha! Foolish Autobot Leader, you have no idea who you're dealing with! Now hand over Unicron's Anti-Spark and we'll set the humans free. Or...you and your Autobots will face our fury." Doomsayer told his enemy. "We have what you want, Doomsayer. And you shall have it." Ultra Magnus replied. "Autobots, bring out the containment unit!" he ordered.
Doomsayer waited for the Autobots to hand over Unicron's Anti-Spark, but then suddenly, a blast of energy came out of the space bridge portal and hit Doomsayer right in the face and that powerful blast came from Orion Eclipse and his fusion cannon which he got back from where the Autobots had put it. Doomsayer fell backward and he realized that Ultra Magnus tricked him into thinking that he would surrender Unicron's Anti-Spark.
"You tricked me!! New Decepticons! ATTACK!!!" Doomsayer roared as he gave an order to his soldiers to attack the Autobots. A battle between the Autobots and the New Decepticons began to take place in the Energon Mines. Ultra Magnus orders Bumblebee, Orion Eclipse, Ironhide, and Smokescreen to free the enslaved humans while he and the other Autobots take their fight against Doomsayer. "Free the humans and take them out to safety immediately!" Ultra Magnus ordered.
Bumblebee followed Smokescreen over to a few cages where they free some humans while Orion Eclipse went to find Anthony Carter and his family with Ironhide as his bodyguard. "Don't worry, Anthony! I'm coming!" Orion said. The young Ex-Decepticon and old Autobot rushed over to find Motorstrike and Starscream threatening to kill Anthony and his family for disrespecting their leader.
"Let them go!" Orion Eclipse yelled. "Stop right where you are, Decepticons!" Ironhide told Starscream and Motorstrike. "Well, well, what have we here? Ironhide and a new Autobot recruit." Starscream said. "Looks like the 'bots are here to rescue them, geeks, from us," Motorstrike said, insulting the humans. "They're human beings!" Orion Eclipse told the green and purple Decepticon. "Motorstrike, you handle Ironhide and the humans. I'll take the new Autobot!" Starscream ordered his comrade. "My name...is Orion Eclipse!" Orion told the seeker. Ironhide and Motorstrike fight for a bit while Orion tries to fight Starscream. He tries to hit him with his fist, but Starscream catches it before it could strike him in the face. "Impressive!" Starscream said before kicking Orion Eclipse in the tank, sending him backward as he hits a stone wall. Ironhide knocks Motrostrike out cold before he heads over to help Anthony Carter, Katherine Carter, and Jonathan Dave Carter when they saw that Orion Eclipse needs help from Ironhide to defeat Starscream, who seems to be more powerful than the new Autobot.
"Help him!" Katherine told Ironhide. "Don't worry, I'll save him. Stay here," said Ironhide. Starscream grabs Orion Eclipse by his shoulders before he throws him onto the ground. The young bot coughs up Energon and some dirt before he looks at Starscream with anger on his face. Starscream was about to kill Orion when Ironhide primed his weapons before shooting the seeker from behind.
Starscream hits Ironhide repeatedly before he punched the old red Autobot hard in the chest and then he mauled him with his claws much to Orion's horror. "NOOO!!!" Orion Eclipse yelled as he screamed Ironhide's name. Ironhide falls down, leaking Energon and wounded, causing his apprentice to assume he dropped dead.
Starscream points his blaster at the old mech and the Air Commander of the New Decepticons was about to kill off and finish Ironhide before Orion Eclipse jumped on the seeker, struggling to take him down to save both his mentor and his human friend. But Starscream gets the upper hand as he managed to get Orion off his back before he suddenly looked down at him and Starscream eventually gasped with shock as if he'd recognized Orion Eclipse from a long time ago.
"No, it can't be! Is it really you? I...I remember you! But it's not possible. We just watched you perish many stellar cycles ago! H-How are you still alive?! HOW!?!" Starscream exclaimed in disbelief and shock.
"What are you talking about?!" Orion Eclipse asked angrily as he glared at Starscream with hatred in his optics.
Starscream looked carefully at his opponent and he could see that the new Autobot bore a resemblance to his former master, Megatron. "Don't you remember who you are?" Starscream said to Orion Eclipse. "You're the son of Megatron! You even bear a striking resemblance to him!" he told him.
"What?!" Orion Eclipse said in confusion. "No, that's not true. You're lying!!!"
"Orion, listen! We all thought you were dead those many stellar cycles ago! You...are one of us! You...are Megatron's son." Starscream said to Orion Eclipse.
A few flashbacks began to appear in Orion's head as he grunted in pain as he could hear the sounds of war and explosions, the cries of an infant child, a mysterious femme bot holding said infant and Megatron himself with his red eyes and sharp teeth.
After the flashbacks to Orion Eclipse's lost memories were over, the young bot screamed in denial. "NO!! You're wrong! I am not Megatron's son! I am nothing like him! And I will never let you harm my friends or any of these humans you have captured!" Orion yelled at Starscream. The young bot aimed his fusion cannon at the Air Commander of the New Decepticons before he blasted his shoulder and caused his arm to fall off.
"GAAAGH!!! My arm! Not again!" Starscream said in pain. "Why you little...!" He said as he primed his weapons to shoot at his opponent before Bumblebee and Hot Rod come to Orion Eclipse's aid as they attack Starscream. "Leave him alone, Starscream!" Hot Rod yelled.
"Guys, you came!" Orion said. They fight Starscream for a bit before he transformed into a jet and flew out to join Doomsayer and the New Decepticons in their fight against the Autobots. "Get back here, you coward!" Orion Eclipse yelled angrily before he chased after Starscream. "Orion, no! Wait!" Hot Rod said. "Hot Rod, Ironhide is wounded! You help him up and call Smokescreen to help the humans out of here! I'll go after Orion and make sure he doesn't get hurt!" Bumblebee said.
Starscream changed from his alternate jet mode back to his robot form before he started running away like a coward as Orion Eclipse pursued him to get back at him for what he did to Ironhide. "Get back here, Starscream!" Orion yelled in rage. "Lord Doomsayer! Help me!!" Starscream called out to his new master. "STARSCREEEEEAAAM!!!!" Orion Eclipse bellowed while shooting at Starscream with his fusion cannon. Starscream stopped as he turned around to shoot back at Orion before the young Autobot tackled him and punched him in the face repeatedly.
"Are you out of your mind!?!" Starscream yelled. "You're gonna pay for what you've done to Ironhide, even if I have to extinguish your spark!" Orion Eclipse threatened. "Have mercy, Orion Eclipse!" Starscream begged, his lower lip bleeding with Energon. "There's NO mercy left for you, Starscream!" Orion replied before he was about to deliver the killing blow to his enemy.
"Orion, STOP!!!" Bumblebee yelled behind his Autobot friend. "Bee?!" Orion Eclipse said in surprise. "Listen to me, Orion. Ironhide is still alive! Starscream did not kill him. Getting revenge on him is not an option!" Bumblebee said. "We need to focus on the task at hand. Doomsayer has placed a bomb somewhere in the Energon Mines and if we don't deactivate it quickly before we get everyone to safety, we'll all be dead!" He reminded Orion Eclipse.
The young Ex-Decepticon looked at the terrified seeker under him before he sighed and spared Starscream's spark. "You haven't seen the last of me, Orion Eclipse. We will meet again!" Starscream vowed before he ran off to evacuate the Energon Mines with Doomsayer and his followers.
"Orion, I..." Bumblebee was about to say before Orion Eclipse burst in anger. "I had him!!" Orion yelled. "Calm down, Orion! Hot Rod is taking Ironhide back to Cybertron to heal him. Anthony Carter and his family are safe. Right now we need to find that bomb and turn it off immediately!" Bumble told his friend. "Where's Ultra Magnus and the Autobots?" Orion asked.
"They're freeing the humans and taking them outside the mines where they'll be safe and Doomsayer retreated with his New Decepticons." Bumblebee replied. "Where's the bomb?" Asked Orion Eclipse. "It's hidden somewhere. Come on! Let's see if we can find it with the others." Bumblebee ordered. Orion Eclipse ran through the Energon Mines with his Autobot friends and they searched hard for five minutes until they found the bomb strapped to a wall.
Tension filled the air as the Autobots were trying to figure out the off switch to the bomb without accidentally triggering it. "How do we turn it off!?" Wheeljack asked. Orion Eclipse looked at the red and blue wires before he saw the red button on the bomb. "Push the red button!" Orion ordered. "Are you insane!?" Bulkhead exclaimed. "How do you know?!" Hot Rod asked. "Trust me, it's always the red button." Orion Eclipse replied.
[SELF-DESTRUCTION IN T MINUS 20 seconds!]
"Hurry!!" Jazz yelled. "We're running out of time." He said. Orion Eclipse hesitated for a minute. He wasn't sure if pressing the red button would either defuse the bomb or cause the Energon Mines to explode and collapse on the Autobots. Then he remembered what Ironhide taught him about bombs and how to deactivate them before he figured out a better solution. Orion Eclipse looked at the red and blue wires before the bomb was beginning to count backward to 12 seconds. "We're dead!" Wheeljack cried out in hopelessness.
[10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3...2...]
But just when it seems to be the end of our heroes, Orion Eclipse cut the red wire before it deactivated the bomb itself, preventing it from exploding. The Autobots were shocked and relieved that they have been saved by their recruit. "You did it! You saved us!" Bumblebee said. "He defused the bomb! Thank Primus!" Bulkhead exclaimed. "Praise the Allspark!" Wheeljack said. "Phew! And here I thought we'd all be scrap by now." Smokescreen said in relief. "No time to celebrate. We've got some more humans to rescue and some Energon to take back to base on Cybertron." Ultra Magnus said.
"What about Doomsayer and the New 'Cons? We can't just let them get away now can we?" Hot Rod said. "We'll find out where their hideout is eventually. But first, we need to help our troops who are wounded and save the last remaining humans while we're at it!" Ultra Magnus ordered. "Yes, sir!" The Autobots said in agreement. Hours later, Orion Eclipse sat down next to his human friend who was glad to see him again after being gone for so long and they were outside the Energon Mines in a forest.
"Orion, I'm so glad to see that you're okay. Thank goodness you're alive and well. I was worried about you, my friend. Thanks for saving us." Anthony said to his robot friend. "No need to thank me or be concerned about me, Anthony. I'm just glad you're safe. So, is this your family?" Orion asked. "Yes. This is my mom, Katherine, and my step-dad, Jonathan." Anthony Carter introduced. "So, you must be Orion Eclipse. The robot that met our son in the woods." Katherine said, intrigued to meet the new Autobot. "Yep. That's me. Are you okay? Did the Decepticons hurt you?" Orion Eclipse asked in concern.
"We're okay, Orion. Those New Decepticons disguised themselves as humans to capture us and our neighbors in Idaho and they forced us to wear these suits before enslaving us and forcing us to mine for Energon." Jonathan Dave Carter explained. "And their leader threatened to feed an innocent child to one of his vicious beasts, that monster!" Katherine added. "Luckily, our son was brave enough to stand up to Doomsayer before he would harm or kill either one of us," she said. "So, what happens now?" Orion Eclipse asked.
"Well, I'm afraid that the people you saved with the Autobots are going to report to the authorities and the military about giant killer robots who captured and enslaved them. Plus, I doubt that they'll thank you and the Autobots for saving our lives, Orion." Jonathan told him. Orion Eclipse gave the Carter family a sad and guilty expression. "I'm sorry for what happened to you and your neighbors. If I hadn't taken your son over to the mountains where I live and if I had known about Doomsayer and his followers, then none of this would've happened. It's all my fault." Orion Eclipse said.
"Hey, Orion. It's not your fault. You didn't know about the Autobots and Decepticons and you wanted to spend quality time with me. I'm just glad that the Autobots didn't torture you just because you're a Decepticon." Anthony Carter told him. "I'm not a Decepticon anymore. I've been made into an Autobot and I had to prove to my captors that I wasn't evil and I had to earn their trust. Ultra Magnus and the Autobots have grown to respect me and now...they have accepted me as their recruit." Orion Eclipse explained to his human friend.
"So what happens now? Where do suppose Doomsayer and his New Decepticons are right now?" Jonathan asked. "I'm not sure. But we will find out where they are hiding eventually...and when we do manage to defeat them, we will arrest them! Doomsayer and his second-in-command, Starscream, will face justice and the New Decepticons will fail on their mission to revive Unicron the Chaos Bringer. And as for The Sword of Primus. Well, I believe that I am destined to wield it and use it to light our darkest hour as Optimus Prime himself believes it." Orion Eclipse declared.
Meanwhile, at the Devastator the very warship of the New Decepticons, Doomsayer was at his computer when Skywarp came to deliver the bad nears as he felt fear shivering down his binary prefixes. "Um...Lord Doomsayer? We have some bad news...The Autobots are still alive. They have defused the bomb with their recruit...and we still don't have the Anti-Spark. I'm sorry, sir." Skywarp apologized.
Doomsayer's red eyes changed into bright purple as his body glowed with purple electricity before he roared out in rage. "GRRRRAAAAAAAAGH!!! WE WERE SO CLOSE!!!...So close! I told you fools to put that bomb somewhere where the Autobots can't find it! Urrgh! Losers...all of you! A disgrace to our lord and master, Unicron." Doomsayer grumbled furiously. "Forgive us, sir. We tried our best." Skywarp said. "It's not your fault. Ultra Magnus and the Autobots lied when they said they'd surrender the Anti-Spark to us! Now tell me, Skywarp...Tell me about this new Autobot recruit. Who is he?" Doomsayer asked.
"I don't know, sir. But I believe Starscream knows the answer." Skywarp replied. Doomsayer huffed in frustration before he went outside the room to find his Air Commander and Second-in-Command. Astrocharge had repaired Starscream by replacing his arm that Orion Eclipse blasted apart and the medic even healed his injuries before the seeker went outside the med bay to inform his new master about the new Autobot who attacked him. And told him, Starscream did. He told Doomsayer about Orion Eclipse and the New Decepticons couldn't believe what he was hearing as the Air Commander explained to him that the new Autobot is the long-lost son of Megatron.
"What do you mean that the new Autobot you encountered is the long-lost son of Megatron?!!?" Doomsayer said.
Starscream was anxious as he began to tell Doomsayer that he wasn't lying, "I know that it sounds crazy, my lord. But believe me, when I looked at this young mech, he looked exactly like Orion Eclipse, Megatron's firstborn son who perished before the destruction of Kolkular during the Great War for Cybertron." He honestly said.
Doomsayer looked suspicious as he looked at Starscream, "Is that so, then tell me Starscream. How is it possible that Megatron's offspring could've survived and is still alive after all this time?! From what I've heard, Orion Eclipse died of a massive explosion and Megatron had suffered another great loss of his family before he had been driven by his own insanity and he used Dark Energon at Trypticon station to poison Cybertron to its core as well as Primus himself! Unless this new Autobot is a clone or a doppelganger or an imposter because I doubt that anyone would've survived that huge explosion." He said in skepticism.
"My lord, I am just as shocked and puzzled as you are, but it might've been sheer luck or some sort of miracle that saved Orion and if this new Autobot is indeed the lost son of Megatron, then maybe we could convince him to join us or maybe use him to get back at Megatron for abandoning the Decepticon empire."
"Did you even bother to ask the boy if he remembers how he had survived and that he is still alive somehow after all these stellar cycles when he was long presumed dead?!" Doomsayer asked.
"I tried telling him that he's the son of Megatron and that he's one of us, but he refused to listen and he attacked me for injuring the Autobot, Ironhide," Starscream told his new master. "I think that the explosion didn't destroy Orion, but it actually robbed him of his memories, turned him into a victim of amnesia and the Autobots brainwashed him into joining their side." He said.
Doomsayer scoffed, "You think?!!? You have to be sure that it is true or not, Starscream. But if what you're saying is true, then this boy might have become a tool for the Autobots to try and stop us from resurrecting our lord and master, Unicron! And if this youngling is indeed an amnesiac, then..." Doomsayer gasped suddenly with a shocked expression on his face.
Starscream looked at his master who looked like he was having a stroke, "Lord Doomsayer? Is something wrong?! What is it?!"
"I'm having a vision!" Doomsayer yelled as he grunted in pain. After a few flashbacks of the Great War on Cybertron and a few visions of what had actually happened to Orion Eclipse, he realized that what Starscream said to him about Megatron's son being alive was true. "So...it is true."
Starscream raised a brow in confusion. "What's true?" He asked.
Doomsayer chuckled evilly before saying, "After all these stellar cycles, the son of Megatron is finally back from the dead...and I have no doubt this boy is now the Herald of Primus himself. Hahahahahaha! Thank you, Starscream. You have done well today." He told his Air Commander.
"Thank you, my lord. So what's the next step for our plan for revenge, master?" Starscream asked. "We must wait until we can figure out another way to get our hand servos on Unicron's Anti-Spark, find the Autobots and destroy them, and kill Megatron and his son before we can destroy the Earth and revive the Chaos Bringer and bring peace to the universe. Only then, will we reign supreme as we bring forth anarchy and chaos across the cosmos? Hahahaha...HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!" Doomsayer laughed maniacally.
