"Last I saw her was just up ahead!" Ichika said as she and Kazui were being carried by Kalia to where Rukia was being held. After getting a distress call, Kalia and the others went looking for Ichika fearing she and her mother Rukia were in serious danger. Kalia and Kazui managed to find Ichika, but they need to find and rescue Rukia now.

"Got it. I can sense some spiritual pressure. Did you alert the others about what is going on and where Rukia might be?" Kalia said.

"I did." Ichika said.

"Good. It's actually nice to have an audience for when I beat this guy." Kalia said as she kept moving and could see them ahead. "There!" Kalia could see things up ahead and landed right down on the streets. They all looked up and saw Rukia tied up.

"Mom!" Ichika called.

"Ichika! I told you to run!" Rukia said.

"You can't blame a kid for worrying about their parent." Kalia said with Rukia noticing the others.

"Orihime? No... You're not Orihime. You're too young and your spiritual pressure doesn't feel the same. Who are you? What are you doing with my daughter and Kazui?" Rukia questioned.

"Don't worry about that now. I'm here to help." Kalia said. "Of course, I'm going to have to deal with the guy who clearly wants to fight." She looked up and spotted someone sitting on a post like he was waiting for her to show. "Get down here already."

"Sure thing." The enemy said as he jumped down and they were met with a guy that had a red mohawk with a giant blade carried on his back. "Nice to meet you. You must be that soul reaper the others have been talking about. The name is Masco Glien."

'I remember him from back home. He's the one that had an attitude and was rather obnoxious.' Kalia thought and readied herself for a fight. "Let her go!" She said as she referred to Rukia.

"I'm a reasonable guy." Masco said. "If you want to save her, you'll have to get through me first. It's a simple as that. I've been looking for a fight, and I heard that you can provide me with one." He said as he reached for the grip of his giant blade.

"Bring it on." Kalia said as she wasn't going to back down to the likes of him. Ichika was worried about her mother, but Kazui reassured her.

"Don't worry, Ichika. Kalia is really strong. She's going to teach this guy a lesson he won't forget." Kazui said.

"You actually think this girl can win?" Masco said. "Once I get this nuisance out of the way, all the power of the World of the Living and the Soul Society will be ours."

"Not while I'm here!" Kalia said and charged right at him. She drew her zanpakuto and tried to strike him down, but Masco took his large and was able to block it with powerful spirit energies colliding. Masco pushed back and knocked Kalia into the air. When that happened, he jumped after her. While those two were fighting, Kazui and Ichika were smart and used the opportunity to hurry over to Rukia.

"Ichika, I told you to run and get somewhere safe." Rukia said.

"I know, but I had to do something to help you." Ichika said as Kazui used his own zanpakuto and cut the ropes that bind her.

"Are you okay, Mrs. Abarai?" Kazui asked.

"Yes. Thank you, Kazui." Rukia said as she adjusted her wrists.

"Rukia!" Rukia looked down the street and saw Ichigo and the others arriving. "Rukia, are you okay?!" Ichigo asked.

"As I just told your son, I am." Rukia said. "Ichigo, who is that soul reaper? She looks like Orihime, but she's a soul reaper like you." She said as they looked up and saw Masco and Kalia fighting each other up on the roof of a building.

"Her name is Kalia. You just need to know she's on her side, but it's a long story." Ichigo said. The two of them kept fighting each other. Masco swung his blade at her, but Kalia jumped off the building. Masco chased after her as he readied another attack. He took his large sword and swung it right at her. Kalia blocked it with her zanpakuto, but she was hit with a lot of force behind it and she crashed into the ground. "Rukia, you've got to help her!"

"Me? What about you?" Rukia questioned. "You're the one that's always going on about protecting people. You're not doing a good job right now. Unless... You lost your powers, didn't you?"

"Yeah..." Ichigo said as he hated to admit it.

"We all did." Orihime said.

"Yeah... So did I. They stole my powers." Rukia said. "This is worse than the time I gave you my powers and my soul reaper powers were greatly reduced. I can't even use kido while I'm like this."

"It's all in Kalia's hands then." Uryu said as all they could do was watch. Masco landed down and walked over to where Kalia landed to see what kind of damage he did.

"Don't tell me that's all you got after all I heard. I expected more." Masco said. He thought that was that, but the dust cleared away and he saw she was gone. He looked around for her until he spotted her coming down from above. She tried to strike him, but he was able to block that attack as well. "Not bad."

"You haven't seen anything." Kalia said as she jumped away from him.

"I do hope you'll make this interesting before I strike you down." Masco said. "Ready to get dominated?"

"Are you fight or just going to keep running your mouth?" Kalia said as she dared him to come at her. Masco took that challenge as he went at her again. The two of them kept clashing their weapons against each other, but Masco's weapon was much larger than Kalia's with it having a lot more force behind it. It was forcing Kalia to go on the defense, but it was pushing her back.

"Come on! I said I wanted a challenge!" Masco said as he gathered power in his sword. He coated his sword in green spirit energy and tried to strike her with it, but Kalia jumped away as she saw that power had more in that last attack.

'He's coming down at me with heavy attacks. Gathering spirit energy like that just makes his attacks even stronger.' Kalia thought.

"I was expecting more out of you. I've been pretty underwhelmed. I guess I'll just skip straight to the part where I end this." Masco said.

"I'm the one who is going to end this!" Kalia said. "Ban..." "No you don't!" Masco called as he took his giant sword and smashed it against the ground and unleashed a powerful wave of energy. It blasted against Kalia and prevented her from using her bankai. Ichigo and the others tried to endure against an immense wave themselves as windows on nearby buildings shattered. Masco wasn't playing around. Kalia was knocked to the ground after that, but Masco held up his blade to her to keep her from going anywhere.

"I believe this is where it ends." Masco said.

"Wouldn't let me use my bankai? I thought you said you wanted a challenge in this fight?" Kalia questioned.

"I do, but I don't think it would really make that much of a difference. Is there really that much of a power difference between bankai and shikai?" Masco said. "Plus, I'm sure the boss wouldn't want me to pass the chance to just kill you!" He held his sword back and was getting ready to finish Kalia off. It didn't look good for them as Ichigo and the others watched in fear of what was about to happen.

"Kalia!" Ichigo called as his paternal instincts just kicked in and wanted to save her.

"Hey, you big bully!" Kazui said as he surprised all of them. Kazui was standing right on Masco's big blade and was standing perfectly balanced on it, much to the shock and horror of everyone else. "Guys aren't suppose to hit girls in the first place. Pick on somebody your own size."

"Kazui, get away from him! He'll kill you!" Kalia said.

"The girl has a point, kid. Get lost!" Masco said as he tried swinging his sword to knock Kazui off. He expected Kazui to fall right off, but Kazui was still standing on it. "The hell...?" He tried twisting his giant sword around, but Kazui easily shifted his stance and wouldn't fall off of it. "Cute, but get off, kid!" He kept throwing his giant sword around, but Kazui wouldn't shake off. It was like Kazui was sticking to his blade like glue. The more Masco failed to get Kazui off his blade, the more annoyed he was getting. "I'm not playing kid! Get off or I swear I'll..." You're not gonna do anything to him!" Kalia had enough time to recover as she smashed her foot right against his face. Once she did that, she grabbed Kazui and jumped away.

"Thanks, Kazui! I've got him now!" Kalia said as she gathered power around her sword.

"As if!" Masco said. He was getting ready to counter as he aimed his sword and focused on one point.

"Sutasuraisu!" Kalia unleashed her signature attack in a powerful slash as Masco unleashed a powerful beam. The two attacks collided and the other tried to push back. Both sides struggled, but Kalia put a little more power as her attack was pushing back. Masco couldn't hold on and was forced to jump away. Kalia's attack slashed through the street, but he was able to avoid it.

"That's some power she's got..." Masco said. "I'll let you go this time, but you better be ready for me next time." He said before he vanished in a light.

"Punk." Kalia complained.

"Hey! Kalia!" Ichigo called as he and everyone else came over.

"Kazui!" Orihime said as she grabbed a hold of him. "How many times have I told you not to play on a stranger's giant sword?"

"Uh... None..." Kazui said.

"We shouldn't have to! That was very dangerous!" Ichigo said.

"They're right, but it did help me out. Kazui only wanted to help." Kalia said, but she find the whole thing a little unusual. 'Weird. Kazui can become a soul reaper at will, can summon those strange fish things, and what he just did on that sword was... I don't know what to call it. Kazui... What are you?' She wondered.

"So, Rukia, the enemy got you too? You don't have your powers anymore?" Chad asked.

"I'm afraid not." Rukia said. "Some of us captains had our powers stolen."

'Captain?' Kalia thought as that sounded weird. 'She's a captain in this dimension? From what I heard, she retired from the Thirteen Court Guard Squads to focus on Ryo.'

"I came here in hopes to get help from you guys, but it looks like I came too late and they got to each one of you." Rukia claimed. "It was risky to use the senkaimon given what has happened and the fact that I don't have my soul reaper powers anymore. Luckily, the Department of Research and Development kept it stable, and a couple soul reapers were spared so that could escort me and Ichika here to ensure our safety."

"You brought your daughter through a dangerous place? That's some poor parenting." Ichigo said.

"I brought Ichika here in hopes to keep her safe. I figured it was safer here than it was back in the Soul Society." Rukia scolded. "Don't lecture me about parenting when your own son placed himself in danger like that."

"For the record, I don't need to be protected. I'm a soul reaper and can hold my own in a fight." Ichika claimed as she tried to be brave, but she dropped the act quickly when Rukia gave her the look that all mothers give to keep their kids quiet. Clearly, Rukia is in no mood to argue.

"Now that this thing is over, will someone please explain what's going on?! Who is this girl?! I've never seen her before; and why does she strikingly look just like Orihime?!" Rukia demanded.

"We'll tell you later." Chad said as they could hear sirens going off. "The authorities are coming. We better get out of here." All of them agreed and took off, but none of them noticed something. A lady was watching them...and she was one of the Jigoku.

"Hmm... A soul reaper from another world... She's powerful, and she can hold her own in a fight. However, I bet she's a little eager to return to her own world. I bet I can use that to my advantage." She said as she's got a bit of a nasty trick up her sleeve.
