Chapter 10

Timmy's eyes were bewildered by the strangest sights known to fairies. Even Jorgen seemed mesmerized all around him was the feeling of demise. Silence seemed to fill the endless void of the Ghost Zone as Danny moved in front of the Specter Speeder. He moved past doors, various ghosts bypassing various regions with the Ghost Zone. To think something completely opposite of magic could exist and be so beautiful and peaceful. "Don't fall for it," Timmy's attention was snapped by Valerie. Who was gliding the ship through the peaceful glaze the Old Man was in the back silent. "Seeing as this is your first time let me explain something to you. We call it Reapers Madness. A sickness of the mind that you'd get if you stare at the wind for too long. Once you achieve it there is no cure, it only deteriorates to death for humans at least. I don't know how it affects you fairies, but I wouldn't stare at it too hard. We've lost way too many lives from Reapers madness."

"Well exactly where are we going?" The Old Man asked.

"Relax Old Man, we're making a pit stop. I've been through the dead zone once before. We're just taking a pit stop that we need to make." Valerie said, "Because that's exactly where Danny's going." Timmy looked at the Old man who was silent, but curious. Time in this realm seemed to bleed together in an uncomfortable way; as Valerie took the ship further and further out. Way beyond the region where not even Ghost of the Ghost Zone seemed to tread. Even the sounds that typically filled the world were barren of life. Something that Valerie had commented on a few occasions. Across the sky was giant streaks of blue, something apparently not natural. It was at this point Timmy's wings fluttered even in his human form. That wasn't ectoplasma it was some type of magic.

"What is magic doing in the ghost zone?" Timmy asked.

"Magic?" Valerie asked.

"And so that's where Blonda is," the Old Man said. "Now we know."

Danny landed on the ground of the sole lone island located in the deep death of the Ghost Zone. Even after a billion years it was still here. Floating in the silent void surrounded by nothing was a long island that was only a couple acres big. In the center was a single story house one that Danny himself had built. With glass, roughing made out of a silent oak. Somehow the damn thing was still intact after all these years. Even a billion years the place where Danny had exiled himself was there. A place that forever would remain haunted in his mind. "So after all these years this thing is still intact. That's impressive you think he still in there?"

"We're about to find out," Danny said. With that he turned towards his cousin who hopped out of the ship. "Wait here."

"You certain-"

"This is something only Valerie and I can deal with," Danny said, cutting off the Old Man from speaking. "I have to know."

"Very well then," the Old Man said.

"What's this random house doing here?" Timmy turned towards the Old Man who seemed to know everything. His cousin seemed to carry a burden of some kind one that Timmy never really thought about.

"That even I don't know," the Old Man said. "I know many things about Daniel, but many things I do not. "Daniel is a broken man and though your time with him was brief you did lead him on a better path. You wand-wavers have that ability to change the destiny of people. I do not know why this is here or what this is, but I do know this is important for Danniel in some way or another. I will inquire deeper into this later when our job is done."

"So after all these years you finally return," the figure said.

"Tell me what happened?" Danny asked the figure who turned around to face him.

Danny remerged some hours or days later. Time in the Ghost Zone moved at a very different rate than on Earth. He presumed it was the same as Fairy World, but had no clue. Valerie looked at him with the look on his face. A piece of knowledge had been gained, a piece of knowledge which Danny had no desire to talk about. "Let's go, I know where Blonda's castle is located."

"You do?" Timmy asked.

"Trust me it's going to be quite some time, but I have a way their," Danny confirmed with a false smile.

"Whose in there?" The Old Man inquired.

"Someone that should've died a long time ago," Danny said. With that he moved into the Spector Speeder. "I'm driving."

"Be my guest," Valerie said. "You know the dead zone better than anyone." The Old Man looked at them then back at Timmy and Jorgen, both of which were just as lost as he was.

They deported the island in a quiet rush as the specter speeder silently dashed through a rather unconventional path. One that would take decades of experience to navigate for in this zone not even the inhabitants of the Ghost Zone would tread. A perfect place to hide; he glided deeper and deeper into the Ghost Zone where the empty void of insanity came to bear. Danny's insanity had been put to rest, grew up and died. And finally they came up towards Blonda's castle which was located in the most dangerous region within the Ghost Zone. Area Zero which is believed to be the oldest location where King Parianh himself was said to have ruled for thousands if not millions of years before being sealed away. They came up close to Blonda's castle more like a massive fortress which was surrounded by a light blue bubble of magic. His Ghost senses trigged the same way it did when he was around Timmy.

More of those winged Angles flew around the castle as if guarding the damn thing. "Area Zero? That's a curiosity."

"What's special about Area Zero?" Timmy asked.

"Turner. Area Zero is the place where the war between us Fairies and Ghost ended billions of years ago. It's also where we created the Ghost Zone." Timmy looked at Jorgen, "I forgot you're not in Spellementary school. Look Turner billions of years ago before the human race existed there was a period of time where the Earth was covered in Ectoplasma, the substance that ghosts are made out of. And explodes when our magic comes into contact with it. There was a war between our ancestors and the ancient Ghost and the Ghost Zone was created by the war. Area Zero was the first part of the Ghost Zone ever created."

"Interesting," the Old Man said. "As much as I would inquire into your past I believe that we are heading in. Silence would be our best weapon going forward."
