Wow. Now if that wasn't a chapter that was full of things that we may need to explore today. After all, our couple is still learning about each other each and every day, which is something that happens as part of being married. You keep leaning about each other, and you also go through hard things together; and that's precisely what seems to be happening to our newlyweds. Thanks again for reading the story that I've already written so far, and I hope you continue to read to see just where this story is headed. After all, even I'm a bit curious to see where this story is headed due to the fact that I don't even know. But now, let's get back to the story.

Chapter Sixteen

If there was a day for them to take it easy and just relax with each other, then today most certainly was that day; today was a day that they most certainly should not be getting all hot and sexy with each other, not when it seems like they instead need to talk to each other. Talk and just work through some things together. Things that they've obviously never spoken to each other about, but that they most certainly do plan on talking to each other about today; but maybe after they have the egg sandwiches that Matt just made for him and Alex. The egg sandwiches that Alex always enjoys, especially when the man she loves is the one who made them for her. And today, that's precisely who made the delicious egg sandwiches that she's ready to eat, her loving husband, Matthew James Casey. The man she plans on spending the rest of her life with, as they deal with everything that comes at them; and boy are they starting off their life as a married couple with a day that may be full of hard conversations. Then again, some of them they've already had while they were still dating in secret; because that's all they were doing, dating in secret. Because of how much they love each other, they've both agreed that they will never consider what they did to be an affair; especially not now that they are a married couple.

A married couple who are in it for the long run and can easily see themselves being married for the rest of their lives; a life that most certainly will include children as that's a dream that Matt's always had, to have children with the woman he loves. And now that he's married to Alex, that's precisely what he can see in his future; a life where he has children with her, and not just one. Rather, they will have multiple children; and who knows, maybe they'll even had a set of twins. Well, maybe; they aren't too sure about that yet, nor are they ready to think about that yet due to the fact that they aren't even pregnant yet. But one thing's for sure, they are ready to try for the rest of their lives to have a baby, which is going to be a lot of fun because it means that they need to make love to each other, they need to enjoy each other in bed if they want to have a baby. And that's precisely what Matt and Alex plan on doing with each other, they plan on enjoying each other in bed until Matt gets his gorgeous wife pregnant with their first of many children…just not right now, as they are going to be doing something else right now. And that would be enjoying the nice breakfast that Matt just made for him and the woman he loves, the nice egg sandwiches that he was in the midst of walking into their room with them on a plate.

"Two egg sandwiches for the newlywed couple."

Turning her head away from her iPad, Alex smiled as she heard Matt say that as that most certainly is exactly what he was carrying for her right now; he was carrying two egg sandwiches which they will both enjoy as they eat breakfast in bed. "Thanks." Matt agreed with Alex as he walked over to her side of the bed, which is closer to the windows in their room; meaning that he needs to walk around their bed, and that's precisely what he did. "So, did you see the dogs on your way up?" Matt agreed. "They came down to join me. I already fed them and put them out to the washroom so they should be fine for a while." Alex agreed with Matt, before deciding to flirt with her husband for a bit. "Just like my husband looks mighty fine in those tight boxers of his." Smiling, Matt agreed with Alex as she said that, while also making his way over to her in their bed so that he can give her breakfast. "Here, how about you sit up so that I can give you the plate that I brought up here for you to have breakfast off of?" Alex agreed with Matt, as that's something that she most certainly can do. She can sit up and make sure that she's sitting in a way that she can eat breakfast, which she's starving for. "You made breakfast right on time, as I'm starving." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, walking over to her in their bed.

After which, he handed her plate over to her. "Here you go." Alex agreed with Matt as he gave her a plate, while also noticing that there were two egg sandwiches on it. "Wait, there's two on here; did you make four or two egg sandwiches?" Smiling as he sat down on the edge of their bed, Matt proceeded to set the fresh tea that he brought up for her down on her side table before grabbing the plates; he then smirked as he went to show Alex that he actually did bring two plates upstairs, with one of them having been underneath her plate. "Oh, that makes sense now." Matt agreed with Alex, smirking at the woman of his dreams. "See, your husband is pretty smart." Alex agreed with Matt as she grabbed his hand. "Hey, I never said anything about you not being smart. You're really smart baby, and I hope you know that." Matt agreed with Alex as she said that, smiling due to the fact that he knew exactly what she was saying; and she most certainly was not calling him dumb. "Oh, I already know that baby. I know that you weren't calling me dumb, so don't even worry about that." Alex agreed with Matt as he told her that, smiling as she turned to look at her iPad which she set down on their bed. "So, you were using your iPad for a bit?" Alex agreed with Matt. "Reading my e-mails, the news." Matt smiled.

After all, that's always her routine; each and every morning, she starts off her day with e-mails and news. "Like always." Alex looked at her husband as he said that, as she knows that he does the same thing. "Oh, and you don't do the same thing on your phone?" Matt was about to say something, but just shut up due to the fact that he did the same thing all the time, which is precisely why he didn't say anything. "Yeah, keep that mouth shut mister when you already know that you do the same thing as me when I'm still asleep." Matt agreed with Alex as she said that, smirking as he got up and leaned over her one last time. After which, he kissed her and smiled. "And you're more than okay with it, due to the fact that you know I have a job to do; a job that funds this lifestyle." Alex just looked at Matt as he said that, as that was the last thing that she wanted to hear him say. She didn't want to hear how his job funds their lifestyle, as she doesn't care about this lifestyle. Him having money isn't the reason why she married him, she married him because she loves him more than anything in the entire world; and she felt like she needed to make sure that he knew that. "Hey, you know that's not the reason I married you, right?" Looking at Alex as he sat back down, Matt agreed as he did know that. Of course, he does.

The fact that Alex even felt like she needed to mention that just breaks his heart, as he doesn't want her to even think that he would think like that as he knows better than anybody that she loves him for who he is. Something that he didn't experience in his last relationship. "Hey, I never want to hear you say things like that again. Alex, I know you and I know that's the truth. I know that you didn't marry me for money. I know for a fact that you married me because you love me. And you don't need to tell me that based on the previous relationship that I was in, which we both know was just about the money." Alex agreed with Matt, well aware that was the case; god, Hallie was the worst of the worst when it comes to being gold diggers. She wasn't even hiding the fact that she wanted Matt for his money, before eventually resorting to faking a pregnancy when things started to go wrong. "Babe, she faked a pregnancy so that you'd stay with her. I know that I am not that type of woman." Matt agreed with Alex as she told him that, as that most certainly is the truth. She isn't the type of woman who would fake a pregnancy, not when she truly loves him for who he is. "Still doesn't mean that I'm not going to spoil you." Putting his hand on Alex's neck, Matt smiled as he leaned over her and kissed her.

After which, both he and Alex took things nice and slow with each other in a way that made them both very happy. "God, I love it when you kiss me like that." Matt agreed with his beautiful wife as she told him that, well aware that she loves it when he kisses her period. "I think you mean when I kiss you, period. You love the feeling of my lips on hers, whenever and wherever you get a chance to have them." Alex agreed with Matt as he said that, before shivering a bit. "Hey, you cold?" Alex smiled at Matt. "I was actually just about to put the fireplace on when you came in." Matt agreed with Alex, smiling at her as he put his hand on the side of her face; after which, he leaned in and kissed her softly. "Let me. Then, I'll get in bed, and we can have breakfast. Once we're done, I promise that we're going to warm up with each other quite easily." Alex agreed with her loving husband as he told her that, well aware that they're going to warm up quite easily when they're in bed with each other; as they always warm each other up when they're all cuddled up to each other in bed. "My favorite thing to do with you in bed besides sex." Turning his head to look over his shoulder as Alex told him that, Matt smirked as he made his way over to the fireplace before grabbing the remote that he had to use to turn it on.

Doing so, he smiled when he saw the flames come up so that it can start warming up the room. "Might take a bit, but I can leave it on from now on." Alex agreed with Matt, as she loved the idea of them keeping the fireplace on from now on. "I love that idea, especially since there's something about cuddling up to my husband with the fireplace roaring that really makes me smile." Matt agreed with Alex as he made his way over to his side of the bed, flashing her one of his signature 'Matthew Casey' smiles that always made her heart melt. "God, there's that smile again; you have no idea just how many times I saw you smile at me like that, and I wanted to break our secret." Matt smiled as he heard Alex say that as he walked up his side of the bed, before placing his hand on the mattress as a way to help him sit down, which is precisely what he did the moment he could as he wanted to get all comfortable with Alex here this afternoon. Plus, it was what she wanted as well. She wanted him to be in bed with her, where they are both very comfortable and just holding each other close in bed. "Ok. Before we begin, grab your coffee please." Turning her head, Alex was confused. "Why?" Matt smiled. "Just do it." Alex agreed, going to grab her coffee from her side table; meanwhile, Matt did the same as he faced his wife.

After which, he gave her one of the smiles that always made her go weak at the knees as he spoke to her. "To us being married; to the start of this new life with each other, and to many future mornings where we can do this in bed all the time." Alex smiled as she heard Matt say that, before hitting her coffee mug against his. "I can definitely toast to that." Getting close to her husband, Alex smiled as she leaned in and kissed him softly. "I love you." Matt agreed with Alex, smiling as he kissed her softly. "I love you too, forever." Alex smirked, agreeing with her handsome husband as she sat back down in bed and then set her tea down; meanwhile, Matt set his coffee down and smiled as he proceeded to start eating breakfast this morning. His first breakfast as a married man. "First breakfast as husband-and-wife." Alex laughed, as that most certainly is the truth. "Just remember that this isn't dog food, so we need to be careful if they jump up on the bed with us." Matt agreed with Alex as she said that, well aware that they always need to be careful when it comes to when their dogs are on their bed with them; but right now, they were eating. "I fed them when I finished making breakfast, that way we could have time where they wouldn't be up here trying to steal some of our food." Alex smiled, as that was smart.

Her husband was smart. "Smart husband." Matt smirked as he heard Alex say that, before teasing her. "Does that mean I've earned a kiss?" Smiling as Matt asked her that question, Alex got close to him and leaned in to kiss her husband softly. "You will always get kisses from me mister." Matt agreed with Alex, smiling as he kissed her once more. While at the same time, they both took things nice and slow with each other ahead of them having breakfast with each other in the comfort of their bed. "Ok. How about we eat? Then, we have all day to do that." Alex agreed with her amazing husband as he said that, as that most certainly is the truth, with a correction, of course. "Correction, we have the rest of our lives to do that." Matt smiled, as that most certainly is the truth. "Now, that's the truth. We have the rest of our lives to be hot and sexy with each other." Alex agreed with Matt, smiling as she is so madly in love with this amazing man whom she's blessed to call her husband; so, blessed that she's really thinking about giving him more sex this morning. But maybe first, they can start with some kisses that they both already want to give each other when they're done eating. After all, they both already said as much based solely on the way that they were looking at each other as they sat in bed.

He was the one that made breakfast for the both of them, so she decided that she was the one that was going to go downstairs and do the dishes, which is precisely what Alex did. But now, she was done with the dishes and on her way back upstairs; only to see her husband looking very sexy as he relaxed in bed, with him being all hot and shirtless as he just wore his boxers. But now that she was back, he was no longer sitting on what is normally his side of the bed; instead, he's sitting on what's normally her side of the bed. And while at first, she thought about mentioning that; she soon decided that she wasn't going to mention it due to the fact that it was precisely what she wanted anyways. She doesn't want her man to bed on his side of the bed, especially not when it's just easier this way. Easier for her to crawl into bed and cuddle up to him, which is precisely what Alex was more than ready to do now that she was back in their room; so, she decided to do just that right away. She decided to get right into bed with her amazing husband so that she can hold him close and just cuddle up to him how they both want to right now. How they both deserve to hold each other. In a way that will make them both very happy the moment she's back in bed with her gorgeous husband, who was now aware of her presence.

Of her presence in their room, as she was back from the kitchen and crawling into their bed. "Hey, I didn't hear you come up here." Alex agreed with Matt, more than okay with that. "That's fine. I was going to surprise you anyways." Matt as confused as he heard Alex say that, while watching as she crawled into bed with him. "How so?" Alex smirked as Matt asked her that question, while also crawling over to the man she loves. The man she wants to hold as she laid down in his arms in a very comfortable (and sexual) manner. A way that they will both enjoy, as that was something that she was certain about; especially since she decided to do something for her husband as she crawled right on top of him and straddled his lap, something which very much turned Matt on as he sat up and moved his hands to her back. "Why hello there." Placing her hands on Matt's face, Alex smirked as she already knew just how turned on he was at the moment. How he was happy to have her straddling his lap in a way that made sure that their bodies were right against one another's, while she had her hands on his neck and was staring into his gorgeous eyes; only to soon wrap her arms around his neck and lean in to kiss him softly. "God, such a turn on." Alex agreed with Matt as he said that, smirking at her husband.

After which, she pushed him back in bed so that he was laying down; precisely like she wants him to do right now. She wants him to lay back in bed as they both hold each other close and just take it easy with each other. I mean, what's better than the feeling of a man's wife laying down on his chest as they cuddle up to each other in bed, which is precisely what Matt is about to have as he watched Alex move to take off her bra, something which he was not going to let happen. "Oh no, that's not happening. If you want your bra off, then you're letting me do it." Alex agreed with Matt as he sat up again, before moving his hands to her back and tugging her body against his chest; meanwhile, she put her hands on his toned chest and smirked as she leaned in and kissed the man of her dreams softly. "Someone like the idea of me taking off my bra?" Matt agreed with his wife as he ran his hands up her back, before moving to take off her bra for her. "I prefer the idea of me taking off your bra for you." Alex agreed with Matt. "I just thought it'd be better if I took off my bra since it may cause you to want to go far." Shaking his head, Matt smiled as he looked into Alex's eyes as that was the last thing that was going to happen as they hold each other close today. "Hey, look into my eyes babe." Alex agreed.

Doing just that, she smiled as she put her hands on his face and stared into his eyes; meanwhile, Matt leaned in and kissed the woman he loves softly as a way to make her relax prior to whispering to her. "Babe, I'm going to hold you close to me today as we take it easy, that's all I want to do as we relax and just hold each other. I have no ulterior motives, other than to spend time with my wife as we start off this new life with each other. A life full of love and laughter." Alex smiled as she heard Matt say that, while leaning her forehead against his as they shared a moment with each other. A very intimate moment that they were both very happy to be sharing with each other, only to soon start kissing each other, which is precisely what they both want to do right now. They both want to share a kiss with each other, as they hold each other close in the comfort of their bed. "I just love cuddling up to you so much. I hope that's okay if I decide to do it more today." Matt agreed with his wife, as it's more than okay with him if she wants to cuddle up to him today. "Hey, take a breath and relax babe. Of course, it's okay with you if you want to cuddle up to me and just hold me close. You okay?" Taking a breath, Alex looked into Matt's eyes. "Is everything okay?" Alex nodded. "Yeah, I just…" Matt then decided to lay down.

He laid down on his back and just got comfortable, as he could clearly see that it was what alex needed right now. She needed him to lay back in bed so that she can cuddle up to him, so that he can hold her close and just take it easy with him. "Come here beautiful, come lay down in my arms and just cuddle up to me. Let me hold you and show you that everything is okay and will always be okay as long as we're married." Alex agreed with Matt, smiling as she went ahead and laid down on his chest as a way to calm herself down and just take it easy. After which, she wrapped her arms around his muscular body as a way to just relax and take it easy; meanwhile, Matt wrapped his arm around her back and just rubbed it as a way to make sure that his wife relaxed and concentrated on breathing. "Breathe babe and just take it easy, I promise that everything is all good." Alex agreed with her husband as he told her that, well aware that was the case as they both cuddled up to each other and just held each other close here in the comfort of their bed; meanwhile, Matt left a soft kiss on her forehead as he made sure that Alex relaxed and just concentrated on what matters right now. Them and the fact that they're married. God, he still loves saying that. They're married, they're husband and wife; and will be forever.

He decided to wait a bit before he said anything, before he mentioned anything to Alex as he wanted to make sure that the woman he loves was truly okay rather than have them go too fast. Right now, Alex clearly has a lot on her mind and still needs to take it easy with him; which is precisely what she's doing as she stroked his chest with her thumb and kissed it softly. "Sorry if I'm being scared right now." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, before pressing his lips to her forehead as he ran his hand up and down her back. "Is it at all related to what happened on the call with your parents?" Alex sighed, as that was precisely what she was thinking about. How her aunt has Alzheimer's. "I just heard it was genetic, and that worries me." Matt agreed with Alex, while running his hand (and wedding band) up and down her back as a way to get her to relax. As a way to get her to take it easy and concentrate on her breathing. After all, that's precisely what she needs to do right now. She needs to breathe and take it easy. "I'm sure that everything will be okay." Alex sighed as she turned her head and looked up at Matt. "Doesn't it worry you that our future children may have the gene?" Matt nodded, as it did concern him; but not enough to think about it 24/7. "But not enough to think about it 24/7." Alex agreed.

After all, that would not be fun. If they always thought about the worst possible outcomes. "Anyways, it's your aunt that has it. Your dad doesn't have it and we don't know if he'll get it unless he takes the test, did you talk to him about that?" Alex sighed. "No, because I don't want to force him to do anything; not when I think he's secretly mad that we got married without him being there." Matt shook his head as he ran his hand up and down her back, while also turning his head and kissing her forehead softly. "I truly don't think that he's mad babe. I think that he's truly happy that we're finally married. Plus, he scared the crap out of me when he said that he'd come after me if I hurt you again; and I have a feeling that he'd only say that to me if he was happy over the fact that we were married. He said it in a way that makes it sound like a future promise, rather than a threat that we need to worry about." Alex thought about it and agreed with her husband; as that's the way she took it as well, as a future promise rather than a threat. "I like the sound of that." Matt agreed with Alex, as he loved the sound of it too; just like he loves the sound of him calling her his wife. "But not as much as I love calling you my wife." Turning her head, Alex smiled as she looked up at her incredible husband.

The man she loves more than anything in the entire world, and whom she is already very proud to call her husband. "God, I am so glad that we're married." Bending down, Matt smirked as he kissed her softly. "Me too babe, me too." Laying her head down on Matt's heart once more, Alex smiled as she ran her hand down his chest and then kissed it softly. "Plus, they said congratulations." Alex agreed with her husband, as that was the truth as well. So, why would they congratulate them if they weren't happy that they were married. "God, you are making me rethink all of this." Matt agreed with his wife, as that was his job. "That's my job, to make sure that you think about things the right way." Alex smiled as she cuddled up to Matt some more, just holding him as they both took it easy each other. As they took it easy, while concentrating on each other as they start their life as husband and wife. "I still find it crazy that we're married. It still doesn't feel real to me if you can believe that." Matt nodded as he feels the same way, something he decided to share with his beautiful wife as he grabbed her hand and intertwined their fingers. "Believe me babe, I feel the same way. I'm still in shock that we're even married. It happened so fast, yet I am so happy that it happened fast." Alex smiled as she agreed with Matt.

After which, Matt wrapped his arm around her back some more as he tightened his grip on her; something that made Alex really happy as they both cuddled up to each other in bed. "God, I am so glad that this is what we're doing right now. I am just so comfortable and want to do this for a while." Turning his head, Matt agreed with Alex while kissing her forehead again. "You know, we can talk about some things while we're all cuddled up like this." Turning her head, Alex looked up at the man of her dreams as she had no idea of what he was talking about. "Like what?" Matt smirked as he looked down at his beautiful wife. "Well, normally you go on a vacation after you get married. A sexy honeymoon." Alex smiled as she heard Matt say that, before laying her head down on her muscular husband's chest again; while he placed his hand on her naked back and stroked it with his thumb as a way to make sure that Alex knew that he would always be here for her, something that she already knew but loved the feeling of regardless. "God, I love it when you hold me in your arms like this." Matt agreed with Alex as he turned his head and just smiled as he kissed her forehead. "Believe me, I love it too and this is all I want to do right now. Hold you in my arms as we cuddle up to each other in bed."

Alex smiled as she heard Matt say that, as she can see them doing this for a while. And for a while, she means all day; after all, the last thing she wants to do is get out of bed. Well, unless it's to go take a bath or something as that's always fun. She finds it a lot of fun when they're being sexy with each other somewhere other than in bed, which is what she decided to tell Matt. "I am more than ready to stay in bed all day, unless you want to do something else." Turning his head, Matt looked down at his beautiful wife. "And what might that be?" Turning her head at the same time, Alex smirked as she looked up at her man. "I wouldn't mind taking a bath in the future." Matt agreed with his beautiful wife, as that most certainly is something that they can do at some point today. "Maybe tonight. If we get naked, I may want to take you in my arms and have sex with you again; but we already promised no sex today." Alex snickered. "Do you really think we're going to be able to keep that vow?" Turning his head, Matt was shocked that she was (seemingly) doubting his abilities to hold back on wanting her today. "Are you doubting my abilities when it comes to holding back? Because last time I checked, I have a pretty good streak when it comes to holding back from taking you in my arms my sexy lingerie model wife."

Alex agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was the case; especially when she did sexy photoshoots that he liked. "Oh, I know that. I caught you staring sometimes when I was doing sexy photoshoots. I knew that you liked what I was wearing." Matt agreed with Alex as she said that, as he most certainly did like what she was wearing; he'd be an idiot if he didn't like the sight of his then-sexy girlfriend modelling sexy lingerie. "I mean, I wasn't a fool. As much as I missed you, I still wanted to touch you even though we were hiding. But god, the way you looked in some of that lingerie was so sexy; I was so interested in tugging you into my office and trying to get you pregnant." Alex smiled as she heard Matt say that, while also enjoying the amazing feeling of him running his hand up and down her back (while also kissing her forehead softly). "God, the times I wanted to have sex with you at the office were endless. And the times we did at the penthouse were even better." Matt agreed with his wife, as they most certainly were incredible. "To think, that's our bed now." Alex smirked as she heard Matt say that, as that was music to her ears. That bed is theirs now. "I still remember a couple weeks ago, labor day weekend in bed overlooking the lake." Matt just looked at Alex. "No, we weren't there that weekend."

Turning her head, Alex looked up at her husband. "Weren't we together?" Matt nodded. "Yeah, we were. But we were at our place in the Florida Keys." Alex thought about it and smiled as she remember it now, the nice weekend they spend in the Florida Keys with each other three months ago.
