A/N – Thanks for the comments! I'm not sure about next week. I'm going to Alaska to visit my other daughter this Friday, and I won't be back until next Friday. I'll at least post so sorry, only one post next week.

I heard about the awful news that Billy Miller died. Depression is just an ugly and painful thing.

Chapter 14

Later, Emily, Elizabeth, and Jason plopped onto the couch.

"I could sleep for days," Elizabeth said.

"Me too," Emily said.

There was a knock at the door, and they groaned.

"Come in," Elizabeth yelled.

Johnny pushed open the door and Nikolas came inside holding a big box.

"Hey. What's that?" Emily asked.

"Dinner."

Liz grinned. "Thank God."

He sat it on the living room table as the group grabbed some plates and silverware.

Elizabeth's eyes lit up. "Eli's?"

Nikolas grinned. "Yes, and for dessert, the chocolate cake from Kelly's."

She jumped into his arms, making Jason frown.

"I think he wants to kill me," Nikolas whispered.

"And that would be different then…"

When Nikolas scowled, she laughed and moved to Jason's side.

"Dial back the glare," she whispered.

"I can't help it."

Nikolas and Emily embraced.

"He needs to take his hands off my sister."

Emily rolled her eyes. "I heard that."

"No, you didn't."

"Yes, I did. Behave."

Jason made a face.

"I come in peace," Nikolas said holding up his hands.

"Whatever," Jason muttered.

"Let's eat."

They dished out the food and sat at the table.

"This is so freaking good," Liz said before licking her finger.

Jason watched her. That was so hot.

'Dial back the eye sex before you send me to therapy," Emily said.

Jason glared. "You're in my house."

"And you have company."

Nikolas smirked.

Liz grinned. "Later…" she said to Jason who smiled.

"That's even too much information."

"You have a dirty mind," Jason said.

"Apparently, I get it from you."

His eyes narrowed. She better not be doing anything he has done.

Liz and Nikolas cracked up.

Since Liz got sauce on her cheek, Jason leaned over and sucked it off as his sister's jaw dropped.

"Tell me that he didn't just do that."

"He did," Nikolas said.

Liz couldn't help it and couldn't stop laughing at Emily's expression.

"What?" Jason asked innocently before biting into a rib."

"If you don't keep your lips to yourself, I am going make out with Nikolas on this table."

A smirk graced Nikolas's face as Jason's lethal stare fixed on his sister.

She licked her thumb. "Try me."

Jason shook his head. "I might have to ban her from this house."

"You will do no such things," Liz said.

"Whatever…"

She grinned. "Are you pouting?"

His mouth was opened to take a bite, but he jerked his gaze toward her. "I don't pout. I get even."

"Please…I'm not scared of you."

He put down his rib and wiped his hands. "You should be."

When he pushed back his chair, she yelped and ran behind Emily.

Jason darted, making Liz grip Emily's shirt. "Oh, shit."

Her jaw dropped as she looked at Emily's shirt.

"Did you just use my shirt as a napkin?"

"Technically? Yes."

"Elizabeth..."

They didn't notice that Jason had moved closer until it was too late. He grabbed them as they screamed.

Nikolas watched in amusement as Jason pulled them down to the floor. The girls were face first, so he laid on them and then asked Nikolas for his beer.

"Jason!" Liz yelled.

"What?"

She can't get her arms out to smack him.

"That's it! I'm making out with Nikolas on the table—with tongue."

Nikolas handed Jason the beer and then watched as the man he could never figure out took a long swig and then handed it back. "That was good, thanks."

"No problem."

"What is it going to take for you to let us up?" Liz asked.

"Emily can never mention making out or sex in front of me again."

Emily sighed. "Fine. And you will never suck anything off Elizabeth in front of me."

"It's my house."

"Whatever. I promised, so get up."

Jason got up and sat back down as they rolled over.

"More food," Liz muttered.

Nikolas helped them up as Jason ate.

Liz shook her head. "I'm gonna get back at you later."

He smirked. "Bring it."

Two hours later, he was breathing heavily after Liz made him beg her for all sorts of things before making him come with her mouth. With a wicked grin, she impaled herself on his thick staff and rode him until they both collapsed.

The next morning, Ric went to his office and was surprised to find it locked. He made his way to Mac's office and knocked.

"Come in."

"Hi, my office is locked. What's going on?"

Mac sighed. He hated having to deal with internal affairs drama. "Shut the door and have a seat."

Ric sat across from him.

"An affidavit was submitted to remove you from your duties. A superior court judge has decided to act on the charges which he found were grounds for suspension. In ten days, there will be a hearing which will determine if you should be removed."

Ric's eyes widened. "Why?"

Mac pushed the affidavit in front of him. "Here are the details. Some evidence came to light that was concerning involving moral turpitude and conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice which brings the office into disrepute."

"This is outrageous."

"I'm just the messenger. The details are there."

Ric gripped the paper as he shook with anger. Fucking Jason Morgan is ruining his life. He stormed out of the building and got into his car. If he can't take Jason down legally, he'll figure something else out.

Edward entered Scott Baldwin's office.

"What do you want, old man?" He's never liked Edward Quartermaine.

Edward shut the door behind him. "You are going to resign."

Scott laughed. "I seriously doubt that." He had worked too hard to get this far in his career to let some old man bully him.

"I have you dead to rights."

"And just what do you think you have?"

"I know that you covered up the murder of Theresa Carter and that you killed Rick Webber."

Scott is too stunned to speak.

"If anything should happen to me, the information will be released to the public. Also, if you don't give your resignation by the end of today and leave town, I will see to it that the press will be informed on a national level."

"You son of a bitch."

"That would be you. Don't even think about looking in the direction of my family for revenge and that includes Jason." Edward stood. "Check and mate."

When the door shut behind him, Scott cursed loudly and threw his stapler. He doesn't have a choice. The old man has him by his balls.

IiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiI

Jason answered his phone. "Morgan."

"You're not going to believe what just happened," Cody said.

"What's going on?"

"Your grandfather just blackmailed Scott Baldwin into leaving town."

Jason frowned. "Seriously?"

Cody chuckled. "Edward was badass. Baldwin covered up a murder and then killed Rick Webber which he would say was self-defense. This all involves Laura." They had put a camera in Scott's office that records audio trying to nail him. Once he watched Edward's performance, he had Stan do some research.

"Interesting…" He's shocked that Edward is seeking revenge. Maybe they need to have a little talk. "Do you think Scott will leave?"

"Yes. He was just making travel arrangements. I know where he's going and will keep an eye on him."

"Sounds good."

"There's one more thing."

"Go ahead."

Cody sighed. "I don't have proof that it was Edward, but someone rushed through an affidavit to suspend or remove Ric from his position. He was locked out of his office and there is a hearing to get rid of him permanently in ten days." Having eyes in the police department has helped them greatly.

"That sounds like him." They were just about to put a plan in motion to deal with Ric.

"I'll stop Johnny from moving forward with our plan. This will do the trick and then we'll take it from there."

"Okay." He sighed heavily as he ended the call.

Liz eyed him curiously, so he explained.

"Wow."

"I'll go talk with the old man."

"Are you mad?"

"Yes and no. He needs to stop before he confronts the wrong person, and they fight back. I have a feeling that he went after Ric too. If Ric finds out, he'll have nothing to lose, and could hurt Edward."

Liz grinned. "Are you getting all warm and fuzzy over your grandfather?"

"Hell no, but I wouldn't let him get hurt. Lila loved him." He texted Cody to put some extra guards near the mansion.

"Yes, she did."

"I guess I better go talk to him. Do you want me to bring you anything while I'm out?"

"No, just you."

He smiled. "That is doable."

IiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiI

Edward scowled as he read the financial report. When the door flew open, he started to yell but was met with a glare that rivaled his own instead.

"I tried to stop him," the exasperated secretary said.

"It's fine. I'll handle it."

The door is closed as the men stare each other down.

"You know why I'm here."

Edward sighed. "How did you find out?"

"I have my ways. Did you mess with them?"

When Edward looked away, Jason cursed under his breath.

"Don't you get an attitude. I did it for Lila. I know she would want you protected and besides, Elizabeth is practically part of this family. She didn't deserve what those two incompetent fools dished out."

"While I agree that she didn't deserve it, I was handling it."

"Well, you weren't fast enough."

Jason plopped on the chair.

"Face it, you're a control freak."

Jason rolled his eyes. "Please stop. I don't have the energy right now to have to worry about another person. We're stretched thin as it is. I'm trying to make a lot of changes to make things safer which requires more men, but it takes time. Just—you've done enough. I don't want Ric to figure out you helped because he will hurt you to get back at me."

Edward sighed. "Okay, but I won't apologize for trying to protect you. Now, how are my grandchildren?"

Jason blinked a few times.

"Well? Speak up."

"They are fine. Maybe if you behave, we'll bring them over here soon."

Edward clapped his hands together. "Deal."

Jason stood. "Don't make me come back here."

Edward muttered a few words as a smirking Jason left the room.

IiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiI

Emily laid a sleeping Jake on a blanket. "So, where's Jason?" They had been talking so much about the house that she forgot to ask.

Liz grinned. "He's visiting Edward.

Emily froze. "Did hell freeze over?"

"Nope. Edward needed a little talking to."

"Oh God. Has anyone checked to make sure he's still alive?"

"He's too cantankerous to die."

"That's true."

Elizabeth took some lunch meat out of the refrigerator and started making some sandwiches.

"I'll have ham and cheese."

"Okay."

"What's Cam having?"

"He wants peanut butter and jelly with some apple slices."

"That sounds good too."

"Mine," Cam said.

Liz laughed. "You won't share with Aunt Emily?"

Cam thought for a moment.

"Cam!" Emily said.

Jason entered the room.

"Is he still alive?" Emily asked.

"Unfortunately…" He gave Liz a quick peck.

"You stop," Liz said. "Sandwich?"

"Yeah." She knows what he likes.

She got out a roll for him, quickly assembled his sandwich, and then got Cam's ready.

"Yum," Cam said sitting at the table next to his dad. "Aunt Emily is bad."

"What did she do?"

"Wanted my sandwich."

Jason shook his head. "Time out?"

Cam's eyes grew big as he nodded.

"Cameron Webber!" Emily said, making him laugh.

Liz handed Emily her sandwich and then made one for herself.

"This is good," Jason said.

"I have no idea what we are doing for dinner," Liz said.

"Come eat at the mansion."

Jason almost dropped his sandwich, making the girls laugh.

"I could make a call," Emily said.

"Come on, Jason. We'll invite Gram too," Liz said.

Jason wiped his mouth. "I think you just ruined my appetite."

"Oh, stop. Be a good example for Cam."

"Fine…"

Liz grinned and then winked at him. She'll make it up to him later.

IiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiI

Rick made some arrangements. There is no way in hell he's going out like this. He strolled down the docks and came upon Amelia who was sitting on a bench.

"Are you okay?"

Her head jerked toward him. "Ric."

"What's wrong?" She looks like she has been crying.

"Nothing—everything." He is the last person she wants to confide in.

"It's dangerous around here. Jason can't always be around to save you."

Her eyes narrowed. "Is that a threat?"

He held his hands up. "No, no." He answered his phone. "Thanks for accommodating me. I'll see you soon."

She looked away. "Going somewhere?"

"Well, I think my time here is coming to an end."

"You think?"

He chuckled. "I just need to find someone to rent my house. I'm not ready to sell it just yet."

She frowned. "For how long and where?"

His brow rose. "You're interested?"

"My lease is almost up, and they already rented it out. I hadn't planned on staying this long." She has no idea what she wants to do next.

"Well, it's yours if you want it."

"Seriously?"

"Yup." He opened his briefcase and pulled out a pencil and paper. "This is the address and here is my number. Call me tomorrow and you can stop by and check it out."

"How soon can I move in?"

"Is a week okay?"

She nodded. "That's perfect actually."

"Well, I'm glad I decided to take a walk. If you like it, I'll give you the key ahead of time. Next Saturday, you can start to move in."

She sighed. "Thank you."

"No problem. You're doing me a favor."

"Never thought that would happen."

He grinned. "I'm not all bad."

"Said the spider to the fly."

He cracked up. "I'll see you tomorrow."

IiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiI

Francis picked up his phone. "Stan?"

"Yeah. Listen, Jason isn't picking up his phone. I think I found a way to link Ric and Sam together."

Francis grinned. "How risky is it?"

"It's not too bad. There were times that they spoke on camera that we can use. The question is do you want us to plant something?"

"Honestly, I think he's already hanging himself. Edward did a great job. Ric will be fired. If we let that happen, it will be less suspicious. When it's time to get him disbarred, we can put your plan in place then to make sure."

"Sounds good. I'll put it on hold until you give me the go."

"Thanks, and good work."

Ric is a dead man walking.
