COUNCIL MEETING ROOM
Naruto sat back in his chair listening to multiple people talking over each other over the supposed issue of the day. Now there was an argument over how disastrous this was for Konoha, what their other allies would think, what punishments he should face, and how they could fix this issue.
Eventually Naruto had enough, he had been enjoying some time with Temari and Gaara when he was summoned and now he was fed up. "Enough." Naruto ordered as he flared his killing intent briefly making everyone quiet down while the civilians were trying to calm their hearts after such a scare. "I'm tired of hearing you idiots bitch about this like it's some big issue to the clan heads and Hokage, it's not." Naruto stated, causing the civilians, minus Mebuki, to scowl at him.
"Do you realize what you've done?!" One of the idiots demanded as Naruto looked at him in boredom.
"I killed a potential threat, I gained a Jinchūriki as a ward of my clan and as such she's here to help protect Konoha as well as be my teammate for the Chunin Exams, thereby increasing Konoha's standing and threat stance, and I got our just pay from an asshole's village that was going to renig on the deal. Taki is completely irrelevant and immaterial to anything regarding us, the only reason they had the seven tails was because Hashirama thought it would appease them from having something happen after one of their best tried to assassinate him rather than simply making them regret that decision. They hold no real muscle as they've stayed out of the wars mainly because they're the only true hidden village left among us all." Naruto stated knowing that Taki being known to only the residents worked well in their favor as they had a resident go to get missions to accomplish rather than having clients come to the village itself.
"They provided us with information on Iwa and were valuable trade partners." Another shouted as Naruto glanced at him.
"In the past 27 years, they've given us one usable piece of information on Iwa, and even then it wasn't the biggest piece they could have given us. They play the helpful ally to be associated with us and get profit that way, then they don't report on Iwa or other areas unless it benefits them enough to do so. They were leaches and rats, nothing more and we're better off not having them as supposed allies to drag us down." Naruto stated as the various shinobi frowned before nodding, realizing that Naruto was right as Taki hadn't provided anything beyond that one bit of an Iwa incursion.
"Besides my spy network can easily pick up the slack." Jiraiya stated, since he was leaning against the wall making Naruto snort. "Something to say?" Jiraiya asked and Naruto sat there for a moment.
"Your spy network is outdated and not as well informed as you think it is." Naruto stated as he sat back.
"Hey! I've built that Spy Network over years of hard work and trouble; nothing is as good or as far reaching as it!" Jiraiya stated defensively.
"So, you know that Hanzo the Salamander is dead?" Naruto asked causing Jiraiya and everyone else to freeze and stare at him in shock. "I'll take that as a no, which means I assume you also don't know that Orochimaru has taken Rice Country and has started building his own hidden village there." Naruto stated as he looked at Jiraiya, who was still showing shock and a bit of fear now along with everyone else. "Yeah, your spy network is great." Naruto stated sarcastically as he sighed and leaned back.
"Anyway, back to the matter at hand, to the point of the trade we were getting from Taki." Naruto looked to Rukia, who nodded and produced a stack of folders from a seal and tossed them forward, primarily to the Hokage but also to the Aburame and Nara heads and one file to Mebuki. "What you have there are analytical folders on all trade coming from Taki, showing we weren't getting nearly as much as they were though a few of the assholes of our Civilian Council were getting kickbacks for it at the expense of the village. You'll also find several notations and analyses showing that we can get better offerings and deals from the likes of Hot Water, Sea, River, Fang, and Tea Countries providing better trade and deals than Taki and there's the fact that thanks to my interference in Wave with Tazuna backing me, Wave is more than willing to open trade and alliances with us." Naruto stated as Minato, Hiruzen, Shikaku, Shibi, and Mebuki looking it over.
"But we gain nothing from those trades!" Another civilian shouted as Mebuki slapped the hand of one next to her trying to take the files.
"Exactly, your job on this council is ensure the village prospers, not you. Those trades solely benefit the village, which is the precise point of the trade agreements as well as fostering relations between Fire Country and them thus making the Fire Daimyo look better and thus he rewards us for it. The fact that your complaints about it are that you're not getting anything special is just proof of how corrupt and unqualified you are to sit on the council." Naruto stated as he sat back while Minato signaled a couple Anbu, who appeared next to a few of the civilians.
"I happen to agree, you lot are hereby removed from your positions on the civilian council, and we will be looking into just what else you've done that may have caused harm to the village." Minato stated as four were dragged away kicking and screaming.
"In the last folder, you'll find offers for trade from River, Fang, and Hot Water Country, call it them wanting to increase business after I did some work there while living in Iron Country." Naruto stated as Minato nodded and would look over it thoroughly. "I also sent them word to do business with Wave, making it clear it was through my connections, thereby increasing their trade and making them more appreciative and happy with making the alliance with us and drumming up support for the future as other countries see the value in the trade and alliance agreements with us." Naruto stated making Minato nod, although he, Shibi Aburame, and Shikaku Nara also saw that he was fully imbedding himself in being central to the village's continued prosperity since if he left the village, those agreements could dry up if not be cancelled very quickly. "Then if there's nothing else, can I leave to train with me team?" Naruto asked breaking them from their thoughts and Minato held his hand up.
"There is one thing, you need to have a physical by one of the village doctors. It's a formality, but for you entering the Chunin Exams, I want everything above board and no chance of someone accusing me of showing favoritism towards you or anyone else." Minato explained, making Naruto nod before he kissed Rukia's cheek and bowed politely to the clan heads, advisors, Hokage, and Mebuki before leaving.
Naruto was halfway out of the tower when he sighed, "What do you want, Kushina?" He asked as he saw the Namikaze matriarch standing there.
"I wanted to talk to you." Kushina stated as Naruto looked at her, "Look, Naruto-" She started before Naruto cut her off.
"Don't try to lecture me on who I decide to have a relationship with, you have no say in the matter at all." Naruto stated, he wasn't going to listen to her try to lecture him on his relationship with Mikoto or anyone else.
"But Naruto-" Kushina tried only to get cut off again.
"But nothing. I am free to be with whoever I want to be with, and you will stay out of my affairs, or we will have a problem. What I do with Mikoto, Rukia, or anyone else is none of your business or concern, you lost that right years ago. Accept it and move on." Naruto stated as he wasn't in the mood for this.

You forfeited that right with your actions years ago, do not make me turn this into a matter that has to be taken before the Hokage and Clan Heads because you won't understand that I'm NOT your son and thus you have no say in my life. Back off, or I will take action." Naruto stated with a glare before he walked off as Kushina clenched her hands as a tear went down her cheek.
"I will earn your forgiveness, Naruto, I don't know how, but I will." Kushina thought with determination, she had been torn to shreds after the council meeting that had him taking the clan, she had wallowed for days, but she didn't want to do that anymore. Seeing him with Mikoto only hardened her resolve, it wasn't so much that she disapproved of him being with an older woman, it was the fact that Mikoto was so close to him and she was so distant and there seemed to be no way she could bridge the gap quickly.

ACADEMY: DAY OF CHUNIN EXAM TEST 1

He had trained the two into the ground when Zabuza wasn't having them do missions that were C rank or higher. Each was completed with no problems or even any injuries, even on a couple A rank missions they took.

As such, he had a plenty of options before them both for their affinities; Haku being wind and water obviously with a very minor bit of earth, and Fu being wind and earth with a very minor in fire. That worked well as Naruto had lightning, wind, and water as his primary affinities, and had trained himself to be able to perform earth and fire through a shit load of clones working on them.
He also added to Zabuza's arsenal and the Demon Brothers with Tosen and Geralt adding to the training along with his lovers that knew how to fight and those like Yumi providing more poison knowledge for the brothers to use.
As such, it was a very productive couple months getting his team ready for the threats they'd face, Naruto knowing full well that it wasn't unusual for other villages to send Chunin or even Jonin level applicants to the exams just to try and cut down the other village's chances of getting any promising promotions and thin their possible enemy's forces further while at the same time impressing the clients and nobles with how strong their "Genin" are compared to everyone else.
"You two ready?" Naruto asked looking at his two charges and seeing them nod as Haku had her hunter nin mask on and Fu had some fishnet under armor and some bracers as well with her spear being in one of her pouches thanks to some seals that made it able to shrink like Zabuza's sword did.
"Then let's go." Naruto stated as they entered the academy and climbed one set of stairs heading for the third floor and paused at the sight on the second floor.
There was an obvious Genjutsu over one classroom marking it as being one level higher than it truly was. Anyone with half a brain, or any common awareness of where they were, would be able to tell this was the wrong floor, but given the fact there was a crowd of some 20 teams there, it was obvious that no one was paying attention to this floor.
It also didn't help that the two people blocking the classroom were obviously Izumo and Kotetsu, the "eternal gate guardians" of Konoha, just de-aged a bit to look like Genin.

"Drop the pathetic Genjutsu, we still have another floor to go." Arashi stated as he came up as Keyone looked at him in annoyance and Yakumo was facepalming.
"Smooth move, Namikaze. You just helped 20 unworthy teams advance further than they should have and made more work for the teams that had enough awareness and common sense to realize this was the second floor despite only going up one set of stairs." Naruto stated while shaking his head as several teams that were slowly breaking off from the group all glared at Arashi, who grit his teeth and glared at Naruto.
However, his attention was grabbed by various whispers breaking out, "Is that the Sage of Swords?!"
"I didn't know he had joined Konoha!"
"Why is he a Genin?! Is the Hokage stupid or trying to use this as a propaganda stunt?"

"By the way, Naruto, if you wouldn't mind asking Miss Rangiku to drop off more of that sake, it would be appreciated." Kotetsu stated making Izumo roll his eyes, but he didn't object, that woman could make good sake.
"Sure." Naruto stated before he turned and caught a body tossed at him and smiled, "Hey, Ten-chan." Naruto stated to one of his few non-clan friends Tenten Higurashi.
"I heard you were back; I've missed you." She stated hugging him tight while Naruto chuckled lightly and stroked her back.
"Naruto." A male voice stated making Naruto turn and see another good friend of his.
"Neji, good to see you." Naruto stated as Tenten let him shift and he fist bumped Neji, who had a small smile on his face.
"You as well, glad to see that you could join us." Neji stated, not at all surprised that Naruto was there, he had heard that Hinata had mentioned to Hiashi and a few others that her sensei was excited to see someone named Naruto be in the village.
"Hey, I said I'd come to the Chunin exams, even if I hadn't joined Konoha I'd have been here." Naruto stated as Tenten finally let him go. "C'mon, we should get going." Naruto stated before he blinked motioned to his two friends to look, making them do so and they blinked owlishly as well.
"Please will one of you become my girlfriend! My name is Rock Lee and I swear I will protect you with my life and do my best to make you happy." Tenten and Hiashi's teammate, Lee, exclaimed while being on one knee with his hand out towards Yakumo and Keyone, both of whom were just staring at him incredulously.
"Uh… sorry, Lee, we're not really looking for a relationship right now, we want to focus on our careers." Keyone stated as Yakumo nodded.
"Yosh! Your flames of youth burn brightly! Then I shall endeavor to prove myself worthy of your affections so when you are ready to be courted I shall be prepared!" He stated with fire in his eyes making the two sweatdrop.
Naruto blinked a couple times before turning to his friend, "My sympathies." He stated patting them both on the shoulder before heading up with his teammates, not noticing Lee taking notice of him at last and running off to catch up, leaving Arashi there annoyed that no one was respecting or truly acknowledging him.
As Naruto's team moved to one of the larger rooms, they paused as a shout came, "Wait!" They turned to see Lee running up behind them. "Naruto Uzumaki! I wish to have a spar with you, to see if hard work can defeat natural born talent!" He exclaimed as Naruto just looked at him.
"I can't give that as I'm of both groups. I worked hard for every scrap of power and talent I have, even if some genetic advantages made the hard work easier at times." Naruto stated as he just looked at Lee, "Besides, if we were to fight, we could end up disqualified from the Chunin Exams and that is something I'm not going to risk. No, if you want a fight with me, Lee, you'll have to wait until we get the chance to face each other in in the exams." He added before nodding to Lee and walking off.
Lee stood there stunned before he started crying anime style, "His flames of youth burn so brightly! I must work 100 times harder to just even come close to matching them!" He stated with Naruto and his team ignoring the shouting as they kept walking before seeing Zabuza there.
"Just here as a formality, if one of you didn't show up then you weren't allowed to progress. So, go kick some ass and make the other Jonin jealous that I'm your sensei and make the other villages start pissing their pants." Zabuza stated making them nod as they entered and saw the entire collection of people staring at them and trying to assert dominance, only for Naruto to look at them all and many shrunk back in fear.
Naruto ignored the small swarm of teams that came in as he analyzed those that had already taken seats. He saw a Kumo team, an Iwa team, two teams from Ame, two Kiri teams, a team from Oto, Gaara's team, a team from Taki that was glaring at Fu, two teams from Kusa, a team from Yuki that was glaring at him, and some other scattered teams.
'That blonde with the braided hair from Kumo has Matatabi sealed inside her. No doubt, Shukaku is telling Gaara the same thing.' Kurama, aka the Nine-Tailed Fox, stated from within Naruto, making him hum in confirmation.
'Kitten, that blonde boy, he holds Kurama, the nine tails, within him, but… there's something odd.' Matatabi, the Two-Tailed Cat, informed Yugito, her container.
'What is it? I mean I can practically feel myself going on edge just from one look from him, so I know he's gotta be strong, but what else is there?' Yugito replied while tapping her teammates, Samui and Karui, on the legs to let them know she may have something to tell them in a minute.
'I can sense Kurama's chakra, but it feels… weaker I guess is all I can say, but it's not just that, it's perfectly in synch with the boy's chakra as well. That boy can call upon all the chakra Kurama currently holds and it won't overwhelm him, the boy has either been seriously training with Kurama or he's got a bloodline or seal that makes it work in his favor. Even Bee had to work constantly to get to where he is now with Gyūki. Regardless, that boy is not to be taken lightly, he's got the smell of blood all over him and his stance is of a veteran. The green haired girl holds Chomei as well, and she seems subservient to him and ready to fight, that team is dangerous, kitten, be careful.' Matatabi explained making her frown as she tapped her teammates in morse code letting them know that Naruto was dangerous and his team was to a lesser degree.
"Hey, did you hear, that blonde guy with the coat is the Uzumaki Clan Head and some big shot from Iron Country." One of the Genin that came in after Naruto whispered to his teammate letting the Kumo team and the nearby Iwa team listen in.
"I thought the Hokage's wife was the Uzumaki Clan Head?" One of his teammates asked.
"She was; rumor is that he took over the clan and booted her and her other two children out of the clan. And get this, that guy was her son and the Hokage's son too but he disowned them and supposedly he's got no blood relation to them anymore through some clan specialty or something." He stated making them sigh.
"Fine, but damn, why the fuck is that guy here if he serves Iron Country?!" His other teammate asked.
"From what I heard from the other Genin that were on the second floor, rumors say he left after he learned everything he could from their best warriors and soldiers, apparently he joined Konoha and Zabuza Momochi, the Demon of the Hidden Mist, became his sensei after the guy was recruited into the Uzumaki Clan by the blonde." He stated making them frown.
"If he's such a hot shot swordsman, why the hell did he need Momochi as a sensei?" The first teammate asked.
"Some shinobi from here were talking, apparently the Hokage's wife wanted him to join her team, but he blocked that with his position as a Clan Head and took Zabuza as his sensei and his adopted daughter as his teammate, I don't know who the other one is though." He stated making them cringe a bit.
"Damn, an Uzumaki, Namikaze, trained in Iron, and has the Demon of the Hidden Mist as his teacher, the guy's gotta be dangerous." The second teammate stated making the first one nod.
The Kumo team just looked at Naruto in interest, all three finding him to be quite handsome and his stance was easily that of someone who had seen combat.
The Iwa team were more contemplative.
They weren't among the slowly diminishing populace that hated Konoha and Minato with passion, they understood that it was war and when you have to choose between your own people dying or your enemies, you choose your enemies every time. It was a sad truth, but that one attack probably saved more lives than it took as it shortened the war by at least a year, which was a year of both sides losing people and civilians and others getting caught in the crossfire and then re-emboldening others to join the fight making it go even longer.
It just sucked that it had to be their side that took such a heavy hit.
"Well, at least he's handsome. Gramps wanted us to present a possible alliance with Konoha, if we can't then maybe we should present it just to the Uzumaki guy, having that clan as an ally could work just as well as having Konoha as an ally." One of them, Kurotsuchi aka the granddaughter of the Tsuchikage, thought as she observed him and his team.
"Naruto." Sasuke called as he walked up making Naruto fist bump him as Sarada kissed his cheek and Sakura nodded to him.
"Ah, this is my newest teammate and ward of my clan, Fu. Fu, this is Sasuke Uchiha, Sarada Uchiha, and Sakura Haruno." Naruto stated as he introduced Fu to his brother and future wife along with their teammate.
"A pleasure to meet you." Sasuke stated as he nodded his head, which she returned along with doing so to Sakura and Sarada as well.
"Well, we're all together again." Kiba Inuzuka stated as his team entered along with team 10, Arashi's team, and Tenten's team. "Hey, you're that guy that Kurenai-sensei was hugging!" Kiba exclaimed as he looked at Naruto.
"Uh huh." Naruto stated before turning his attention to Sasuke, who was mentioning he had a seal on his arm for his sword.
"Hey! Don't ignore me." Kiba shouted only for Naruto to backhand him when he tried to grab his shoulder.
"Don't touch me, mutt." Naruto stated as he turned back to talk to Sasuke with Tenten and Neji coming over to talk as Naruto introduced them to each other while Shino held Kiba back.
"He's a Clan Head, Kiba, don't do anything that could get us disqualified." Shino warned as Kiba snarled and Akamaru whimpered.
"You all should keep it down." A voice stated making each one but Naruto turn to see a guy about their age with long silver hair and glasses approach.
"Who the hell are you?" Arashi demanded glaring at the guy.
"My name is Kabuto Yakushi, and you lot may want to stop antagonizing the others." He stated as he motioned to the various teams all glaring and giving off some killing intent.
Before anyone could say anything, a wave of power, killing intent, and chakra filled the room, making many choke on their own spit and air as Naruto turned towards them, "What the fuck are you looking at?" Naruto asked, making a few faint or quickly look away or dive under the desks. "Problem solved." Naruto stated as he dispersed the feeling in the room, idly noticing that at least two girls got aroused from that display, if his nose was correct.
"I-impressive." Kabuto stated with some sweat, now realizing how big of a threat Naruto actually was. "A-anyway, you may want to be careful, these exams are harder than they look." He added as he tried to calm himself down.
"Why? Have you taken the test before?" Shino asked and Kabuto appeared sheepish as he scratched his head.
"This is my 7th time actually." Kabuto stated surprising them while Naruto tapped his finger on the hilt of Orcrist making Haku and Fu shift positions just slightly.
"So, you suck is what you're saying." Naruto stated as he glanced at Kabuto, who twitched minutely.
"Or the exams are just that hard." He stated as Naruto snorted.
"Hardly, if you've survived 7 attempts and never managed to impress the judges or Hokage, then you suck. If you've been a shinobi long enough to see 7 of these exams, let alone compete in 7, and haven't completed the necessary number of missions to qualify for field advancement, then you suck. The fact you approached us, when you know minding your own business in these exams is for the best, means you suck and likely wanted us to owe you so you could take advantage of it in the exams, which thereby means you suck because you and your team are too pathetic and weak to handle the exams on your own. Although, in all fairness, it reflects more on your master than it does you since he keeps sending you here despite the fact you suck and are never going to amount to anything. So are you pathetic, weak, incompetent, or just that unworthy of anyone paying attention to, that your sensei sends you here hoping you'll die like the pathetic excuse for a shinobi you are?" Naruto stated making Kabuto clench his hands in anger while Neji, Tenten, Sasuke, Sarada, Shino, and Shikamaru all noted that this was uncharacteristic for Naruto, meaning that Kabuto was either someone who highly offended him at some point, or he was an enemy that they should be on guard against.
"Hey, lay off of him, Naruto." Keyone stated, not believing how her… former brother was talking to a comrade.
"Why? It's the truth, I can sense his chakra reserves, power, and see his strength clearly, it's pathetic. The only ones more pathetic in terms of skill and power are the mutt, you, your brother, and those three sorry excuses for ninja that are from Oto. Why their master chose to send them rather than any that are actually competent or skilled, is beyond me." Naruto stated shocking Keyone at his words and making the Oto team frown as the males looked at each other and nodded before they moved at Naruto.
One dressed as a mummy had made it to Naruto, only for Naruto to block his punch, causing him to smirk before his eye widened in horror and pain as he dropped to his knees as his ears were bleeding through his bandages. He looked to his teammate to see him on his knees with his arms forced behind him and his hands pointed at his legs, the thing was, he was bound in chakra chains from Naruto's back. "H-how?" The mummy one rasped out as Naruto looked at him.
"Your village name makes it obvious, and your master is not as careful as he believes since I knew he had taken Rice Country within a month of him doing it." Naruto revealed making him widen his eyes while Ino, Choji, Shikamaru, and Shino narrow their eyes remembering Naruto mentioning that Orochimaru had taken Rice Country, meaning he was the leader of Oto.
They'd have to be careful if they fought any of that team.
"Your little arm gadget only works if your natural chakra running in it can outdo your opponents, I just put up a wall of chakra and the resonance went back to you. As for knowing you'd attack, that was easy, you're pathetic and predictable." Naruto stated before he kicked him over and threw the other into the wall, leaving a large dent there.
"I-impressive." Kabuto stated feeling some sweat and wondering how this guy knew about Oto and Rice Country. "A-anyway, since you guys are rookies, I don't mind sharing some information that I've collected on the competition. Some of it from talking to people, and some of it through methods you should employ as a ninja." He stated taking a little pride in that last part.
"Rock Lee, Gaara of the Sand, and Naruto Uzumaki." Arashi stated as Naruto rolled his eyes.
"Real nice, idiot, have him reveal information on two comrades and a shinobi of an allied village. Yeah, you're real loyal and helpful to Konoha with that attitude." Naruto stated shaking his head as Arashi glared and most of the assembled Konoha Genin frowned at Arashi.
"Oh? Know their names already? That makes it easier." Kabuto stated as he started going through his cards while Naruto looked to Gaara, who shrugged, before he looked to Lee, who nodded his acceptance and appeared eager for his information to be let out. Naruto merely nodded back to them both and decided not to interfere with their information being leaked.
It wasn't like he cared if his own was revealed, there was no chance Kabuto had all the information there was on him. The fool would have to get into Iron Country and watch him train there since there were no records of his training or work there beyond people knowing about it from being there.
"Let's see, Gaara of the Sand. Genin with his sister Temari, brother Kankuro, and godfather Baki as his teammates. Specialty seems to be wind and earth jutsu, has been on over 120 missions all of them C rank or above with two even being S rank. Oh, get this, he's never been injured on any mission he's been on either." Kabuto stated making people gasp in shock while Naruto and Gaara smirked a bit.
"Rock Lee, been a Genin for a year, his sensei decided to skip last year's exam. He's teammates with Neji Hyuga and Tenten Higurashi under Might Guy for sensei. 146 D ranks, 47 C ranks, and 2 B ranks. Nothing known about his ninjutsu or Genjutsu skills, but he seems to be quite good a taijutsu." Kabuto listed Lee just stood there.
"Lastly, Naruto Uzumaki. Let's see, Genin this year, with his sensei being Zabuza Momochi after he was recruited to Konoha and made a branch member of the Uzumaki Clan. His teammates are Haku Momochi, adopted daughter of Zabuza, and Fu Ingayama, formerly of Taki before she was recruited from there. He was the son of the Hokage and his wife, but apparently that was nullified through a clan means and he is the Uzumaki Clan Head, having taken the title from the wife of the Hokage before then banishing her and her two other children from the clan. His skills beyond Kenjutsu are unknown due to him only using his sword and his mission record… what the hell?!" Kabuto exclaimed shocking everyone except for Fu, Haku, and Naruto.
"Don't stop now, keep going." Naruto stated as he stood there relaxed.
"He's completed 176 C ranks, 25 B ranks, 12 A ranks, and 7 S ranks with his team with said team being unharmed beyond some scratches at times." Kabuto revealed making many look at them in shock and fear as Naruto smirked.
"You may want to keep reading those notes you have, the last bit may not mean much to the Konoha members, but I'm sure the foreigners will recognize a bit." Naruto stated as he stood there having kept his coat from being seen the whole time.
Kabuto frowned, wondering what the hell else there could be, before he looked at the card and widened his eyes in shock. "H-h-he's also known as the Sage of Swords; Iron Country's deadliest soldier reportedly having saved the Daimyo of Hot Water Country and the daughter of Fang Country's Daimyo. It's also been reported that he's killed a number of missing nin, ronin, and bandits while employed in Iron Country and at one point the Samurai General was considering him to be his successor." Kabuto stated as many of the foreign shinobi paled knowing they were against a proverbial boogeyman of Iron Country, who happened to be standing before them.
Naturally more whispers broke out while the mummy looking guy and the girl from the Oto team were pale realizing who they had just risked pissing off.
Nearby, a redhead from Kusa was gasping and looking on in wide eyes at the fact that Naruto was head of the Uzumaki Clan, "I need to talk to him, soon. Mother won't believe that I actually found an Uzumaki, and our Clan Head at that!" She thought before working to control herself since she didn't need her asshole teammates noticing her excitement and deciding to get rid of her or send word back to Kusa and get her mother in trouble either.
"Interesting that you have knowledge that only the Kage should have, and that latter bit of information isn't known to anyone outside of my clan and Iron Country, do you want to reveal just where you got that information, Kabuto?" Naruto asked turning to face Kabuto, who paled slightly, realizing that he may have given away too much information as many were looking at him in suspicion now.
However, to his luck, it was time to start the exam evidenced by the proctor arriving, "ALL OF YOU SHUT UP AND SIT DOWN!" The proctor, Ibiki Morino, shouted as he arrived with 18 or so Chunin. "My name is Ibiki Morino, and for this section of the exam, all of your asses are mine. Now come draw spots for where you'll sit and then sit down and shut up so I can explain the rules." He ordered, making everyone do so, though the intelligent people noticed that they were arranged in such a way that their teammates were separated by a couple rows so there was no chance of helping each other, at least easily.
Once everyone was seated, Ibiki stood with his arms crossed. "There are a few simple rules: First you will answer 9 questions in the first 55 minutes and the 10th will be revealed then. Second, each question answered correctly is one point, wrong answers get you no points. Third, if you're team doesn't score at least 18 points total, you will fail this portion. Fourth, if any one member of your team gets none of the questions right, you will fail this portion. Fifth, anyone caught cheating will automatically lose 2 points; if you are caught cheating 3 times then your entire team fails this portion of the exam. Naturally, if you fail here, you're done in these exams. These Chunin and I will be constantly watching you lot to ensure there's no cheating, if we say you're out, then you're out or we'll beat you senseless and throw you out the window if you want to raise a fuss over it." Ibiki stated in a deadly serious voice making everyone understand that he'd make good on that threat.
Naruto just looked at him and sat there, not the least bit intimidated by the man.
As the test began, Naruto snorted at the questions, knowing they were beyond what a traditional Genin could answer. He already knew the point was to cheat, he was just debating on how to cheat.
Hinata and Neji were using the Byakugan.
Sasuke and Sarada were using the Sharingan.
Sakura, Shikamaru, and Kabuto were just answering the questions.
Tenten was using some ninja wires to control a mirror on the ceiling for her and Lee.
The two-tailed container was using her hearing to copy the rhythm of someone's pencil.
Kankuro had placed his puppet among the Chunin when they first arrived.
Gaara was using a sand technique to let him see with his sand.
Shino was using his insects to spy.
Kiba had akamaru telling him answers.
Ino used her family Jutsu to possess a person.
Haku was doing something similar to Tenten by making an ice mirror for her to see.
Fu was using her own "dojutsu" which was letting her eyes take on an insect's capabilities letting her see further and wider than she normally could.
Yakumo was using a subtle, yet potent (for her), Genjutsu to mask her scanning her neighbors' tests and copying answers.
Naruto though wasn't sure what he'd do. He could go silent, stealthy, slightly obvious, distraction, or loud.
In the end, he decided on what would amuse him and his partner the most.
With that, he stretched, intentionally hitting a guy next to him in the face with a backhand that sent him into the wall behind him before he slipped to the floor out cold. "Oops, sorry man." Naruto stated looking a bit surprised and confused before he kicked back and relaxed making many frown in confusion at what he was doing with a couple being worried he'd fail.
As he relaxed, he began leaking some killing intent to a few of the wimps that were still hear making him start to sweat and shake while looking around nervously, naturally they were cut pretty quickly. A few more were suddenly slamming their heads on the tables, standing up abruptly, or falling over causing commotions due to him sneaking small chakra chains through the room and yanking their chairs away.
At one point, Ibiki looked at him accusingly and Naruto just mouthed, 'Arashi caused a lot of unqualified teams to get past the second floor, I'm just clearing a few out faster than they normally would.' Ibiki smirked slightly before turning to survey the room more.
At the 54 minute mark, Naruto yawned and rolled his neck before he looked around, stood, walked over to a participant, grabbed his head, and slammed him into the desk a couple of times ensuring he was knocked out. He then grabbed his test and signed his own name on it before tossing him his blank one.
"What the fuck was that?" Ibiki asked with a growl as killing intent was filling the room.
"Me cheating once to get the answers, while subsequently failing another team in the process." Naruto answered nonchalantly as he took his seat again before the time ticked to the 55 minute mark, meaning no one had the chance to do anything else.
"You got a set of balls on you, kid." Ibiki stated having a bit of respect at his audacity to just say FUCK YOU at the test and him.
"I know, my fiancé and girlfriends can attest to that, but can we move this along?" Naruto asked making a few of the girls blush; especially Sarada, Haku, and Fu; and others looked shocked at him.
"Anyway, it's time for the 10th question." Ibiki stated deciding to carry on like Naruto hadn't responded. "First, there's a rule with this question. You can choose whether to take it or not, but deciding not to take it will result in your immediate failure." Ibiki started before he was cut off by several shouts.
"Then of course we're gonna take it! What kind of bullshit rule is that?!" Kiba shouted only for the room to be silenced by the killing intent washing over the room from Ibiki.
"If you brats would learn to shut up and listen, you'd hear the second half of the rule." Ibiki growled as he glared at them all. "The second half is that if you get it wrong, you not only fail, but you're banned from ever competing in the Chunin Exams again." He revealed, shocking many of the attendees, "I don't give a shit if any of you have tried the exams before or if this is the first time. You all just got the shit luck of getting me for your proctor. If you don't think you can handle that risk, then leave now." Ibiki stated as several teams crumpled under pressure.
Naruto finally grew bored and looked at him, "Are you through? I want to keep this going." He stated breaking Ibiki's hold on a few of the other teams.
"That eager to possibly fail, brat?" Ibiki asked and Naruto snorted, already knowing this was a bunch of shit.
"I don't give a shit if I do fail, that's a part of life, fearing failure is pointless and stupid. If you fail, you fail, but you press on and make the best of the situation you're left with. Personally, I don't give a shit if I'm stuck as a Genin for the rest of my life, in fact I may just prefer it." Naruto stated surprising the assembled Genin and the Chunin.
"And why's that?" Ibiki asked and Naruto smirked.
"Can you imagine the accolades I could accumulate for my strength as a mere Genin? The prestige Konoha and my team would get as I handle supposedly impossible missions as a Genin and defeat opponents that should be far superior to me? The humiliation and fear for the enemy villages as a Genin crushes their forces under his boot? The legacy of my clan only grows with that, so by all means, give me the question. I either advance and I make my bones through the usual means or I fail and get to progress the fame and prestige for myself and my clan even faster. You have nothing to threaten me with, nothing to hold over me, nothing to torture me with, nothing that gives you power over me, nothing to make me afraid, nothing to make me crumble, you have NOTHING and as such this test is NOTHING." Naruto stated with complete confidence and conviction that it shored up everyone else's nerves and impressing a few people with how he handled himself and the situation.
"He actually gave them back all their confidence, no, he gave them back more of their confidence. There's nothing I could do to shake them now, though it's more teams than what I was expecting." Ibiki thought as he looked at all the remaining examinees and smirked, "Well then, you've all passed the first exam." He stated making many look at him in shock.
"SAY WHAT?!" Arashi yelled in shock and outrage.
"By kami, you lot are clueless aren't you." Naruto stated as he shook his head. "You honestly think that the other Kage are going to give a foreign shinobi, one that could easily be an enemy and try to sabotage them, the opportunity to block their ninja from ever promoting? You think the Hokage would give one of his own shinobi that power? If so, you're either delusional, stupid, or you don't think very much or well." Naruto stated as he sat there.
"And the other questions?" The Oto girl asked and Naruto snorted.
"The rest of the questions also didn't matter because the point wasn't to necessarily get them right, it was to cheat in such a way that at least a civilian wouldn't be able to notice it happening. Hence why instead of where we'd instantly fail for cheating, we only lost 2 points. The points existed, but it was more the Chunin keeping track of us cheating and watching how well we did, we all started with 6 points. What that means, is that there was a buffer for each team member to possibly get caught cheating twice and not fail, but if any one member got caught three times then they were clearly not Chunin material and failed, but since you need a full team for at least the next stage, one failing means the team fails. The job of cheating was a simulation to get information without detection as well as finding those that had the information you needed, hence why there were some Chunin here disguised as Genin, people who definitely had the answers. The next point is the 10th question, the question was if you were willing to risk career and future on an unknown question, which you do every time you take a mission since nothing is ever 100% known about a mission taken and as such each mission is a risk of your life, career, and health and as loyal shinobi of your village, you have to accept those risks and push on for the betterment of the village, yourself, and your family. An example would be a simple escort mission suddenly getting turned into an S Rank protection mission because you didn't have all the information available and were blindsided by a surprise encounter. The mission here was to get through this exam with our teams intact, failure was a possibility for the first 9 questions, but the 10th ramped that possibility of failure up to where fear and paranoia set in and make it seem like there's no way you can't fail and thus must suffer the consequences. However, the question also is a lesson on taking missions from a Kage, you can turn down a mission if you don't feel you can handle it but there are consequences to it, whether by the Kage or because without accepting the mission it isn't completed and things can spiral from that. It will take weeks if not months for those that crumpled under the pressure to get their confidence back, if they ever do, and that will affect them for the rest of their career thereby weeding out more of the weak and those who aren't qualified to remain as ninja since one weak link can break a team, a squad, a military force, and even a village if the enemy knows where to hit that link. So basically, this was both a test and training all in one, you lot just decided to take it at face value rather than fully looking into things." Naruto stated making a few widen their eyes in shock and realization, "Did I cover everything, Ibiki-san?" Naruto asked looking at the scarred man as he stood there.
"No, I think you covered it all. Glad to see you live up the reputation you built up before and after you joined the village." Ibiki stated making Naruto smirk, but before anything further could be said, a window was suddenly smashed.
A kunai attached to a rope flew into the room through the broken window and revealed a banner, "The sexy and single Anko Miterashi is here!" It announced as a woman with purple hair done in a vertical fan shaped ponytail jumped through the broken window and standing proudly while wearing a skirt, fishnet shirt, and trench coat and smirking evilly at the people.
"You're early." Ibiki stated as he moved around the banner.
"Oh? I am? Shoot, thought I timed it right this time." Anko stated before she looked at the remaining teams, "Really? That's how many you left? You must be slipping, Ibiki." Anko stated as Ibiki rolled his eyes.
"Don't complain, it just means more fun in your playground." Ibiki stated as Anko grinned.
"True!" She chirped before looking at the teams, "Listen up! You are all to report to Training Ground 44 within 20 minutes or be disqualified, see ya!" She stated before she jumped out the window she broke and the various teams moved to follow her.
Ibiki shook his head and cut the banner down before he began grabbing the tests, the results were tallied and given to the judges and Kage so they knew how informed the Genin were.
However, he paused as he grabbed Naruto's and saw he wrote something on the back. [Kabuto Yakushi: He's either a spy or a traitor, he has information that should be known only to the Hokage and apparently has taken the Chunin Exams 7 times without passing and without completing enough missions for field promotion. He also had detailed information on foreign shinobi and their teams, plus he seemed very friendly with the Oto team at one point and seemed to have a rather unhealthy interest in Arashi and Sasuke. It could be nothing, but it seems worth looking into more closely.

P.S. I have reason to believe he has been in contact or around Orochimaru recently as he smelled of snakes and only Anko and Orochimaru have been known to do so, and Kabuto is no friend of Anko's. He also smelled like a doctor from a hospital, so may want to check with Tsunade on if he's got any hospital records or data to examine.] It read and Ibiki frowned before leaving to look into this matter and report it to the Hokage.
He hoped it was just Naruto being paranoid, but a ninja leaves nothing to chance if it can be helped.
MEANWHILE: AT THE FOREST OF DEATH
Anko sighed as she relaxed on a stump waiting for the Chunin hopefuls to arrive at her playground so she could begin her fun and hear their screams. However, she suddenly screamed in surprise as a hand came over her mouth and she found herself forced against a tree with her hands held above her head, "Hello, Anko-chan." Naruto stated making her stiffen and look at him in shock.
"Naru-kun?" Anko asked hesitantly as Naruto smiled at her and relaxed his grip on her arms.
"Been a while, pervy snake girl." Naruto stated with a grin as Anko actually teared up a bit before pulling him down into her chest and hugging him for all her might.
"Naru-kun!" Anko squealed in happiness as she buried Naruto into her cleavage, not even noticing her coat had opened so the only thing between Naruto and her tits was her fishnet top.
Not that she would have cared anyway.
"Ahem." Anko paused and looked to see Haku and Fu there, Haku with a smirk and Fu with a blush as she was trying not to stare at the scene before them.
"What?" Anko asked before she yelped as Naruto nipped at her boob flesh making her let him go as he smirked at her, making her blush.
"Anko-chan, meet my teammates and two adopted members of my clan, Haku Momochi and Fu Ingayama, now Uzumaki." Naruto stated pointing to each girl, who bowed their head slightly both out of respect for her status and for the fact she was close to their Clan Head.
"Pleasure, I'm the sexy and hopefully soon to be taken Anko Miterashi." She stated posing not at all noticing, or caring if she did notice, that her coat was letting her tits be on display save for the fishnet shirt.
"And this is her playground, soon to be ours, the Forest of Death, the place where the second exam is taking place. First taste of combat against what little competition is left." Naruto stated as he absently caught a kunai Anko flung at him before he spun around and caught her before pinning her to the tree with the kunai at her back. "Hmm, should I go fourth lumbar down to the left of the spine? The abdominal aorta? What a gusher." Naruto spoke softly yet forcefully into her ear making her shiver in desire and pleasure.
"Why do you have to tease so much?" Anko asked with a whimper as teasing was supposed to be her thing.
"Well, I could stop, or maybe I should step up a bit. How about we make a bet?" Naruto asked making Anko blink and look at him as he smirked at her and she felt her womanhood wetting at the sight of that smirk.
She wondered if she'd be fucked or fucked after this bet, but she was definitely looking forward to finding out.
