I walked into a room, where I found Father waiting for me.
"You wanted to see me, Father", I asked.
"Yes", Father replied. "Do you remember when I told you the truth about what had happened to your mother?"
Just the mention of that moment brought a pain to my chest. I swallowed down a sob, and nodded in reply.
"Well", Father started. "What I didn't tell you is that, when I went to the base of operations of those scum, their leader was already gone."
"Their…leader", I asked.
"The leader of the organisation your mother owed money to", Father clarified. "If I had to take a guess, he was the one who demanded that your mother hand you over to him. And when she came to him without you, he's probably the one who…"
Father didn't finish. She didn't have to. The words she did say were enough to make me shake as I desperately tried to stop myself from crying.
"Anyway", Father started. "The reason why I bring this up is…I think I know where that man is now."
After Father said this, my eyes widened in shock.
Then, Father came up to me, grabbed onto my wrist, and place a file into the palm of my hand.
"This file has all the information I could find on him", she revealed. "Including his most likely location. What you do with this information is up to you."
With that, Father walked out of the room: leaving to to stare at the file in disbelief.
…
I had just finished explaining what had happened to Lyney and Lynette.
"So Father gave you information on where you can find the person who killed your mother", Lyney asked.
"Yes", I replied.
"And", Lynette started. "What are you going to do with that information?"
At first, I couldn't think of an answer for Lynette's question.
Then, I looked at the pendant in my hands, and when I saw the dried blood that stained it…I knew what I had to do.
I gripped the pendant tightly in my hands, before looking up at my siblings.
"I have to confront this man", I stated. "And when I do…I'll make him pay for what he did to my mother."
After I said this, Lyney and Lynette looked at each other with worried looks on their faces.
Then, they gave each other nods, before looking back at me.
"Well then", Lynette started. "If you are going to confront this man, then we shall accompany you, Freminet."
"You…will", I asked in shock.
"Of course", Lyney replied. "This man could be very dangerous. How could we let our dear little brother face him by himself?"
"Plus", Lynette added. "This is probably going to be a very important moment for you, Freminet. Let us be there for you when it happens."
When I heard my siblings say this…a smile came to my face.
"Lyney, Lynette", I started. "Thank you so much."
