AN: So, after watching the Scaring is Caring episode of TGAMM, I decided to make a Mollibby story from the joke where Molly kissed her toys goodbye. I hope you enjoy this new story!
Smooches
The minutes counted down as the time for Molly's date with Libby got closer. It has been awhile since the last time she was on a date with her girlfriend, and Molly was ready to make the most of it.
Every few seconds, Molly took a look at the clock on her phone as she got more and more excited for her date with Libby. This ended up annoying Scratch.
"You know, checking your phone isn't going to make Libby arrive any faster." Scratch complained.
"Sorry, Scratch! It's just that Libby and I haven't been on a date in awhile, and I'm really excited!" Molly explained.
Before Molly could check her phone again, she and Scratch heard footsteps approaching the room. That was when the door opened before Libby climbed into the attic.
"Hi, Molly!" Libby greeted with a friendly wave.
"Libby!"
Molly rushed over towards Libby and embraced her girlfriend in a tight hug before Libby hugged her back.
Libby soon broke from the hug before she asked, "So, are you ready for our date, Molly?"
"Oh, I've been looking forward to this date for awhile!" Molly smiled. "I'm sure we are going to have so much fun! Let's go!"
Molly was about to leave with Libby before she just remembered something.
"Oops! I almost forgot!"
At that moment, Molly turned around before she approached her plushies. One by one, Molly began to kiss her plushies. Confused, Libby sent Scratch a puzzled look, silently asking him what is going on.
"Molly usually likes to kiss her stuffed animals goodbye before she goes anywhere." Scratch explained.
"Oh." Libby now understood. "I had no idea you cared about your toys that much."
Molly kissed her last plushie before she turned to Libby. "I really do! I just can't leave them without kissing them goodbye! Oh, I just realized that I haven't told you about that. You must think it is kind of weird." Molly looked away, slightly embarrassed.
Libby shook her head. "Not at all! It's actually kind of cute! If I'm being honest, I do have a couple of turtle plushies back home that I kind of kiss goodbye too."
Hearing this caused Scratch to burst into laughter. It was one thing that Molly kisses her plushies goodbye, but Libby doing the same thing was a surprise to Scratch.
"Oh, this is too good! You two weirdos really are meant for each other!" Scratch laughed.
"Gee. Thanks, Scratch." Libby retorted, annoyed with Scratch.
Molly giggled. "Don't worry about Scratch! I don't think it's weird! Anyway, let's go on our date!"
"Okay!" Libby smiled before she left the room with Molly.
With that, the girls left the house as they were both ready to have their date. For the rest of the day, Molly and Libby had a picnic together as they sat down in the grass and ate snacks together.
Both, Molly and Libby enjoyed the rest of their date until the sun started to set. That was when they packed up everything before Molly decided to escort Libby back home. They walked through Brighton, holding each others hand before Molly led Libby back to Book Marks the Spot. The two girlfriends turned to one another as they decided to say goodbye to each other.
"I really had fun with you today, Molly!" Libby smiled, happy with the date she had.
"I had fun with you too, Libby!" Molly replied. "Oh, and before I forget!"
At that moment, Molly walked up to Libby and gave her a kiss on the lips. Libby happily kissed back before they eventually broke from the kiss.
"Looks like your stuffed animals aren't the only things you like to kiss goodbye." Libby joked.
"I guess not, but I saved my most important kiss for you!" Molly smiled.
"Aww! You're so sweet, Molly!" Libby was touched by Molly's compliment. "Guess I'll be going to sleep soon. Goodnight, Molly!"
"Goodnight, Libby!"
With that, Molly gave Libby one last kiss before turning to return home. As they waved goodbye to each other, Molly and Libby silently looked forward to the next time they meet so they can have their next kiss.
The End
