Title: Anthony's Outrageous Birthday

Summary: Anthony Collins 6th birthday isn't quite what he hoped it would be with the exception of the Greenfields showing up, so he unleashes a volcano of rage.
It was a sunny day in the Spring of 1994 in Boston, Massachusetts as Charlotte Pickles and her brother William Collins were preparing to celebrate Anthony's 6th birthday at the park whilst Anthony went and played on the jungle gym. Charlotte and William knew they couldn't afford a big shindig, given their financial struggles since the ill-fated Sea-Wise-Odyssey cruise ended disastrously months earlier. But with what they had, they managed to get at least half a dozen vanilla cupcakes and one present. Charlotte and William sent out birthday invitations to every household in town. Not surprisingly however, much of the town declined the invitations as the parents feared for their children's safety as they as well as their kids themselves knew how violent Anthony was capable of being. The only family that was being cordial with showing up to Anthony's 6th birthday was the Greenfields seeing that Anthony is best friends with Reggie. William and Charlotte shook their heads when they learned that only one family was coming to the party. Nevertheless, they would attempt to make the best of it for Anthony.
"Can you believe these ingrates?" said Charlotte as she helped William set up the party.
"I know dear sister" replied William. "We're not as convincing and manipulative as before when we were rich. Now we're just going to have to hope for the best"
"I guess" sighed Charlotte.
At that moment, Rhonda and Reggie arrived at the park.
"Hello everyone," said Rhonda.
"Hello" replied William and Charlotte in unison.
"Where's the birthday boy?" asked Reggie.
William and Charlotte pointed over toward the jungle gym.
"Thank you" replied Reggie as he headed toward the jungle gym to meet up with Anthony.
"I see the party set up is going okay," said Rhonda.
"Thanks Rhonda" replied William. "Though it could be better if we had a little more money for a bigger party and more guests"
"But this small and rather quiet party compared to what I was able to provide to a certain blond-haired girl that shall be nameless will have to do, given our situation" added Charlotte. She vaguely remembered giving Angelica only the very best for her birthday when Charlotte was still rich.
Rhonda nodded. Meanwhile, Reggie caught up to Anthony and played on and around the jungle gym.
"Happy birthday my friend," said Reggie.
"Thanks Reggie" replied Anthony. "I'm glad you showed up to my birthday when no one else would"
"That's what friends are for" replied Reggie.
"At least that stupid Angelica isn't here. She wouldn't even be the last person I'd invite to my party along with her stupid friends" Anthony thought to himself.
"So what kind of presents do you think you'll get today?" asked Reggie.
"Oh I asked for a lot. I like Captain Blasto action figures and I asked for a lot of em for my birthday today" replied Anthony.
"Sure Anthony" replied Reggie trying to sound optimistic.
Like many of the locals, Reggie was aware of the Collins' financial situation. But for the sake of his best friend's birthday, he attempted to keep a straight face. Meanwhile, William and Charlotte along with some help from Rhonda had finished setting up the party trimmings. Sure, it wasn't massive, but they hoped it would be enough to perhaps put on a little smile on the birthday boy's face, at least for the day.
"Well, looks like we're all set for the small quiet party," said William.
"Here's hoping it goes well" replied Rhonda.
Charlotte then went to find the boys over at the jungle gym.
"Anthony!" called Charlotte. "It's time for the party"
"Alright!" exclaimed Anthony excitedly. "It's party time.
Charlotte then took Anthony's hand and told him to close his eyes until they got to the area where his 6th birthday party would be. Reggie followed behind. Soon, they got to the area where William and Rhonda were waiting. Charlotte and Reggie got into position as did William and Rhonda in order to surprise Anthony.
"Okay Anthony, you can open your eyes now," said Charlotte.
Anthony opened his eyes and the others said...
"Happy birthday Anthony!" said William, Charlotte, Rhonda and Reggie in unison.
Anthony looked around and didn't see too much aside from a few balloons, party hats and horns. Though that was the least of his concern at the moment.
"Hey, where are my presents?" asked Anthony.
"Here is your gift son" said William as he handed Anthony the colorfully wrapped.
Anthony eagerly unwrapped his present. But his mood soon changed when he saw what was inside.
"It's only a Captain Blasto T-shirt!" said Anthony.
"You like Captain Blasto don't you?" asked Charlotte.
"That I said" replied Anthony. "But I also wanted lots of Captain Blasto action figures too!" he shouted.
"Uh-oh, the fireworks are about to go off and it isn't even fireworks day yet" Reggie thought to himself.
"And where's my birthday cake!?" Anthony shouted.
Charlotte brought over the half dozen vanilla cupcakes hoping that the birthday boy's mood would change. Unfortunately, however, Anthony's blood began to boil. In his mind, he felt it was the crummiest birthday he'd ever had without a big cake, lots of presents and a lack of guests.
"THIS IS THE WORST BIRTHDAY PARTY EVER!" screamed Anthony.
The birthday boy went on such an emotional rampage as he kicked the cupcakes out of Charlotte's hands and ripped up his Captain Blasto T-shirt. Rhonda felt this was dangerous that she scooped up her son and took off toward home. Reggie on the other hand felt guilty on rushing off from his best friend's birthday like Rhonda did as he looked back and sighed quietly. Secretly to him, it was a good idea at the moment to leave, lest he get caught up in his best friend's antics and get grounded as well.
"ANTHONY WILLIAM COLLINS!" shouted William.
Antony stopped dad in his tracks at that moment.
"YOUR AUNT CHARLOTTE AND I TRIED OUR BEST TO GIVE YOU A HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIVEN OUR FINANCIAL STRUGGLES AND THIS IS THE THANKS WE GET FOR MAKING AN ATTEMPT TO GIVE YOU A PARTY AT ALL!" shouted William.
"BUT I WANTED MORE!" shouted Anthony.
"Well guess what Anthony" said William calmly. "You are going to get more than you bargained for"
"Ooooh, what's that" asked Anthony as his face lit up.
"Yeah" replied William. "A GOOD SPANKING!"
Anthony gulped as William grabbed him by the arm and headed home. Charlotte didn't bother protesting as she followed behind and simply shook her head in disbelief on what had transpired.
