A/N: I apologize for not updating more often. I've had some personal things going on in my life. I will try to update more often now. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
After we left the store parking lot, we went looking for a Drs. office to make sure of the pregnancy test. Not all of them are 100% accurate, so I can understand why he wants to have a Dr. check me. I'm ok with that, too.
We arrived at the Drs. office in about 30 mins. We had to go to the next city over to find a Dr. We got off the bike, put the helmets on the handlebars then walked in. The secretary looked up after we walked in. She looked a bit shocked to see 2 giant mice walk into a Drs. office.
"May I help you?"
"I just found out my wife is pregnant, but I'd like a Dr. to check her to be sure. She used one of those pregnancy tests you can buy over the counter."
"I understand. Let me see if the Dr. will take a walk in. Have a seat, please."
We nodded then went and sat down and waited.

The Dr. came out and asked us questions. We answered them and then took me back to get examined. Good thing I had to pee again, cause he had me pee in a cup to test to see if I was pregnant.
Modo was hoping that the pregnancy test I took was just as accurate as the test the Dr. is going to do.
After about 1 hour later, we got the results of the test. I was, indeed, pregnant. Modo was ecstatic as was I.
"We have an OB/GYN here in this office and I'd like for your wife to start coming in about 3 months to make sure the baby is doing ok and mother is healthy."
"I'm fine with that, Dr."
"Good. I will see you both in 3 months then."
We talked to the secretary to get an appt. for 3 months from now, then headed to the bike to go on that hike Modo promised.

On the way to the campsite, we stopped by the store to get some water and ginger ale. Water for the hike and ginger ale for in case I get sick.
"I can't believe we're going to have a baby. Promise me you won't do what Charley did. I don't think I could handle it a second time."
"I give you my word. I won't do what she did. After the separation the first time with the douchebag, I've learned not to do it again unless I pass away."
"Please don't do that either. I don't know if anyone told you, but Martian Mice live a very long life. My dad was 100 when he passed away. My mom is in her 90's right now."
"Could have fooled me. I thought she was in her 60's."
Modo chuckled a bit. "She would love to hear that from you. It would make her feel younger again."
"I bet it would. She's going to be ecstatic that she's going to be a grandma again."
Modo didn't say anything when I said that. I knew I had hit a nerve with him and I regretted saying it, too.
"I'm sorry, Modo. I didn't mean to…"
"Its ok, darlin'. Even after this long, its still an open wound that will never heal."
"Its not ok, honey. I shouldn't have opened my big mouth. Every time I do, I say something wrong that hurts you in some way. I don't wanna do that to you."
Modo smiled at me and grabbed my hand in his metal one. "You didn't hurt me, darlin'. I promise you that. You are right though. My mom is gonna be ecstatic at being a grandma again. Lets just go enjoy the day and not talk about the past, ok?"
I brought his hand up to my lips and kissed it. "Sounds good to me, handsome. How should we end the day when we get back to the tent?"
"You'll have to wait 'til we get there, now won't you, beautiful?" Then he winked at me.
I had an inkling of what he had in mind for me, but I was gonna let him surprise me.

During our hike, I had sipped on ginger ale. I was feeling a bit sick to my stomach. Modo kept saying that we could end the hike early and head back to the campsite. I told him that if he brings it up one more time, there wasn't going to be any sex for the next year if he ended the hike early. He shut his mouth and didn't say another word 'til we were done. He didn't like not making love to me any more for a year. He enjoyed showing me new sexual positions that he's seen on PornHub. I didn't mind if he watched porn to get new ideas. It really spiced up our love life for sure.
As we finished the hike, he asked me how I was doing. I knew he was worried about my pregnancy. I get that. I was a bit worried, myself. Especially, since I was still having nightmares since Throttle had raped me some years ago.
By the time we got back to the campsite, it was around 9p. We had been hiking all day. It was nice to explore nature. I really enjoyed it more than Modo did. I could tell he was kinda bored with it, but as long as he was with me, he didn't dare complain about it. I was glad, too.
After I stepped into the tent, I sat down and took my shoes off. I stretched out on the sleeping bag and laid my head down on the pillow (yes, we had pillows). I was so tired that I just wanted to sleep. It felt so good to be off my feet for the rest of the night. I was hoping that I didn't have any more nightmares. I got tired of not being able to sleep after having one. Modo wasn't happy to be woken up after my screaming and thrashing around during them. I couldn't help that I was having a nightmare.
During the night, I had been whimpering in my sleep. I was being tortured by Throttle again. I was hoping to not have these damn nightmares. It's the same one every night and the same result every time, too. I apologize then watch Modo get killed. I wake up in a cold sweat every time, too.
I'm hoping its not a sign that I wasn't meant to be with him. I love him dearly and I would die for him. That's how much he means to me.
Modo woke up and saw the look on my face. I couldn't tell him the nightmare I had. I stood up and stepped outside of the tent. I needed some fresh air after that nightmare I had. He knew I would talk about it when I was ready to. He didn't push me to talk.
Modo poked his head out of the tent. "Let me know when you're ready to talk, darlin'. I won't push you."
Looked over my right shoulder. "Thank you, dear. I'm going for a little walk to clear my head. I'll be back shortly."
"Just be careful, ok?"
I nodded then went for a walk.
