Upon arriving home after buying the groceries she had needed, Saphira unloaded the camaro to carry her groceries inside. She was happy she had bought a new car. Though the whole incident at the dealership was incredibly strange. Saphira did not know why the glass of the cars exploded, but she only knew that it somehow related to this very car. Saphira had also been feeling the sense of a presence from the car. That would not be possible if this thing wasn't something else. And she knew it. But she never made any kind of signal that would indicate that she would have suspicions of the car. Though maybe it already knew.

Once all the groceries were inside and put away, Saphira walked up to her room to check her blog. There certainly has been many people viewing the blog, but no was actually commenting. So she wrote up another post knowing that people were interested. This was her job currently after all, and while she knew she might go a bit stir crazy from doing nothing, she had no choice but to do what she needed to do.

Once she finished writing the blog, she grabbed a scanner and sat it by the window and aimed it towards the car. This scanner would scan anything for an energy signature without alerting the other party. She connected it to her computer before she began the scan and watched the computer screen for the results. And it did not take very long to get the result. An image of the car loaded on the computer screen and an alert sounded to inform her of the unidentified signal coming from the car.

Seems like Nick was right. Something is off with this thing.

Saphira would not send this information to Nick just yet. She needed more information before she could properly report on what exactly she has learned, so she had to work out what she should do. She did find it strange that she found a car like this around the same time she had started the blog. She did wonder if the car had even been in the dealership before she and Nick arrived. She didn't believe so, mostly because Bobby had not seen the car before. He had clearly been confused when he saw it.

There is definitely something more than meets the eye with this thing.

Saphira did wonder if there was evidence even available to prove that there were unusual vehicles out there. But she didn't really know what she would be looking for, so she could only be creative. She pulled up Shield files to look through some of the history. She knew in all her years, she did not know anything different about vehicles around her. Not even aircraft. So she honestly did not know what to think about this.

There was nothing listed in the files about strange energy signatures, so that was both good and bad. If this was new, she did not know why this particular vehicle turned up at the dealership in the first place. Saphira did worry it had something to do with her mutations, but that may not be the case. It could easily be something to do with her blog, which could be why it was here. Though the question did remain as to why it was here.

As she was thinking more on the matter, she looked at her phone in surprise when she heard it going off. She saw it was Natasha calling her. She smiled a little as she answered it. "Hello, Natasha. I hope you are doing well in New York, because I'm doing fine in my new place here in L.A." She chuckled softly as she spoke to her. "But it is nice that you have decided to call me."

Natasha chuckled in response to Saphira's comments. "I am doing well. But this is not a phone call about your new placement, sorry." Saphira rolled her eyes as she listened. "Actually, there's been a situation in the Middle East in Qatar. There apparently was an attack on the base there and there has been no survivors." Saphira raised an eyebrow as she did not think it was a concern for her. "We were able to get a strange signal, and the defence secretary is getting the best hands to try and figure it out. But I know you are good with that sort of thing. Since you aren't doing much, Nick has given me the okay to send you that information."

"I suppose it will give me something to do." She typed on the computer and prepared to receive the information. "I am ready to receive it, Natasha. It probably won't take me very long to figure it out though. I am surprised there was an attack in Qatar…seems kind of strange to me."

Saphira waited patiently and she received the information in a large file, and she began to download it to move it to her code program to figure out what it is. "I was thinking the same thing. I was going to go and investigate, but as we don't have any knowledge of survivors from the base, I have been told to stay put for now. And it is serious. The military are searching for who had attacked the base and tried to steal data, and they are gearing up for potential war."

"War?" She was surprised that would be leading to that, though it made sense. "Well…if it was an attack on a base and on the network, I guess it makes sense that it would be that way." Saphira did doubt that it would have been one of the other countries, but she could not be certain. "Once I start decoding this signal, I will definitely be able to confirm who had done this. I am saw Mr John Kellar would appreciate it. He appreciated my expertise a few weeks ago for a few issues to ensure the president is safe, so this will just be another favor I am doing for him."

Natasha chuckled softly. "Yeah, he is a bit invested with Shield. He's entrusted Shield with a lot of missions, which is why we ended up Orlando yesterday…" Saphira snorted a little as she remembered the day before. "I know, you are still not happy about it. But the man has been pretty good with Shield for a while, so he has my respect."

Saphira agreed with that. "He has mine. He has been nice. I think he does know about my mutations, but I am not sure of the extent of his classified access." Saphira finished downloading the file and opened it on the code program, and she saw the signal for herself. "Hmm…" She hit a few keys and grimaced as she played the signal through her computer speakers, and it immediately hurt her ears and she shut it off quickly. "You never said it would sound like that!"

"Sorry, I didn't think you would play it as soon as you got it," Natasha responded apologetically as she had heard the sound too. "Still, that isn't something I have heard from any of the other nations' military. Have you?"

"No." She hit some more keys to get a closer look at the signal, and when she was able to get a close up of the signal, she was surprised. "Woah…" She stared at the screen as she saw the same symbols of the writing on the glasses, and what had been found on the various historical sites around the world. "Um, Nat, you might want to tell this to Fury. This signal is not made by humans."

Natasha was silent for a moment in surprise before she responded. "What do you mean? That seems strange."

"It is. The signal is full of code written in the same language and symbols that I have been trying to translate for years. This is not a human code." She heard Nat gasp in surprise upon hearing what Saphira had found. "I…this means that we are dealing with something else."

"But how? Those symbols were drawn years ago, and those glasses are old. Captain Witwicky died so long ago." Natasha was having a hard time believing this as it was not something she had expected. "But if that is the case…what does that mean?"

Saphira stared at the screen as she thought on what it could mean. Especially since that they had found more evidence of this writing. "Whoever left the symbols of the different historic sites around the world might not have ever left. But if that is the case, I am not sure why they would want to try and hack the military network. It seems strange."

"Yeah…that is what I was thinking. If that is true, you might want to work on trying to translate it. That means Qatar was not attacked by anyone, but…something we know nothing about. And that's kind of concerning, especially since we have no information about the attack." Natasha was very concerned by this information. "Hmm…listen, I will keep this information to myself for the time being. We don't have any kind of solid evidence at the moment, Saphira, so I will inform Nick as soon as you get the information. I have no doubt that you are going to find more about it. You are good at sniffing out the small things in an investigation."

Saphira chuckled softly. "I sure am. I trust my nose a little too much. So I will definitely see if I can sniff this out. This actually might make translating all this easier, based upon what I am seeing in front of me." Though she wasn't so confident with that. "There's so much in here, and trying to understand it us going to take a while."

"I guess you now have something else to do in your spare time," Natasha teased sarcastically, making Saphira chuckle at her. "But do try and figure this out. If this is somehow a warning about some kind of invasion from another planet, which I assume it could be, we need to know. Though I am not sure what we could do. We aren't exactly equipped to deal with an alien invasion, as far as I know."

"I agree. I might be able to take on an alien, but there's always a chance they're stronger than me and resistant to the breaths I can use. So I agree we need to know what this means." Saphira knew she had a lot of work to do and she was quite happy about having something aside from blogging to do. "I will keep you updated, Natasha. And I am sure he's told you, but the car I believe today seemed strange. We can't put our fingers on it."

"He never mentioned it to me. Quite strange." Nat was very fascinated by this and she did not know what more Saphira might learn about this. "I guess you have a lot of mysteries to work through. Keep me informed, Saphira. I'm not sure what my next assignment is just yet, but at the moment, I'm just waiting for Fury to arrive in the city."

"Well, it beats just sitting around and waiting for someone to respond to this blog. I am wondering why Nick had me do this assignment, but he has his ways, I guess." She looked over at the glasses and articles about Archibald Witwicky. She was also going to take a closer look at the glasses again and compare the symbols to what she has found in this signal. "I will keep you informed, Nat. I have a lot of work to do now, so it might take me a while to get through it."

"I figured it would be like that for you. I will leave you to it. I hope you don't burn yourself out, and take your time. But hopefully not too much time in case we get an issue of a country taking a shot at us before we have any answers." Natasha trusted that she would do a good job. She knew that she did, as it was rare for Saphira to make a mistake. Though Saphira often owned up to the mistakes she makes, especially if it is a mistake that could bring harm to others. "I am sure that I will hear from you soon. I will talk to you later."

Natasha hangs up, leaving Saphira to the large amount of work she had to source through. Saphira had no idea where to really begin. She grabbed all of her work she had been doing on trying to translate the symbols, and the work she had started with translating the tiny inscriptions on the glasses as reference for her work. She knew that she had a lot to go through, and this might not really make her job much easier. But it was best for her to try than do nothing about it.

Saphira also decided to bring up the files regarding the Qatar attack. She wanted to see if there was anything in the files that might indicate what had actually happened at the base. Though as she looked through the file, she saw there was nothing regarding the attack, aside from there was one and there were no survivors. Saphira guessed that meant she was a stand still regarding this, so she turned her mind back to attempting to translate this strange language.

If this does belong to an alien race, and they are either still here or they came back, I wonder what they would want. All this makes little sense. And I have a suspicion this has a lot to do with that car. I am not sure why, but that's what I think.

Saphira knew she couldn't just go out and ask the car, that might be a bad idea if this was something of ill intent. And while Saphira could destroy a car like the Hulk can, if it was not ordinary car, she knew better than to try fighting something that she was not familiar with. So she remained focused on trying to translate this very strange language, hoping that it would be possible to get it translated now that she had a lot more to work with.

She did find it curious that this kind of attack has happened now, instead of back in the past when the security level of the military systems was not great. Not like they are now. She suspected that whatever tried to hack the system was looking for something. She did not know if she would be able to find any evidence to suggest that, but she could not think of any other reason beside that. Though she did not know what they would be looking for.

Maybe they learned about Shield…that could be a reason why they hacked the system. To maybe even learn about Captain America, the Tesseract…who knows, this is going to take a while for me to figure out.

Saphira typed on the keyboard to look through the whole signal, and it honestly seemed to be repeating itself. She wrote down the symbols in her notebook with the symbols from the glasses and historic sites as she kept it all together to try and help her understand it. There were a lot of repeating symbols, and symbols she did not recognize. She did not know how much of the alphabet of this language she had, but she had more that could help her translate it finally.

Though it does seem like the different symbols left in the historic locations could also be symbols for something too. They may not be letters as such, but rather symbols. And if I could just figure out what the symbols mean, it would certainly make things easier. Ugh…

She did somewhat wish that this was not a challenge, but it at least did not make the day boring. So that was what Saphira had focused on doing for the day. Figuring out how to translate these letters to figure out what they say and mean. She had to use her knowledge of linguistics in order to even try to understand this language. She knew speaking it might not be possible, but reading it could be. And she was hoping for that to know what is written.

As the day would progress, Saphira did not make much progress on the translation of the language, and it was frustrating her to no end. Because the language was very complex, it was really difficult for her to translate any of it yet. She was confident that she might be able to, but she wished she had some help trying to understand it. Maybe it will come, but it was not going to happen today. And she needed a break by the time the sun began to set, so she left her room to do something else.

Saphira decided to the tend to the lovely gardens around the house, so she went outside and embraced the cooler air with a smile. She glanced at her camaro for a moment before she went around the yard for a moment and picked out random weeds from the gardens before grabbing the hose to water the yard. She had forgotten how much she had enjoyed working in the garden. She smiled once she got down to it.

While the yard was tidy, Saphira had a bit of work to do with it if she wanted to add new flowers to the garden. She liked the fountain in the center of the garden and considered planting some flowers around the fountain to give it some color. She smiled as she visualized what that would look like as she spent the time watering the garden to make sure each plant had been watered properly. She hummed softly to herself as she watered the garden, and took out any weeds she would spot.

Though as she watered the garden, she could not help but feel like she was being watched. The feeling made her shiver as it was unnerving, and she knew that it could be from the car. She ignored the feeling for now, knowing that it might be best to not focus on it. For all she knew this wasn't malice, but rather a protective measure. But Saphira could not know this without actually speaking to it. The temptation was there, but she was also concerned about the answer she would get.

And I am surrounded by civilians too…it would be best to not speak to this thing. I might look like a crazy lady, but if I get a bad reaction, Fury is going to bite me for causing a scene and chaos here.

And because of that, she was in a difficult decision. Making sure that the innocent people around her remain protected was an absolute priority, and she knew it. Saphira could not risk in good conscious, while knowing that people could die. She hated knowing that fact, but she honestly did not feel like she would be in danger anyway. Saphira somehow believed that, and yet she didn't know if that was an absolute fact. Nonetheless, Saphira focused on the garden until she was satisfied.

She spent the rest of the night cooking some food for herself and enjoying the evening as much as she could. She honestly just wanted to relax after having an intense day of research, so she didn't allow herself to be worried about little things. And she ended up dancing through the house to relieve the stress, even though it didn't take long for her to relax and just enjoy what was left of the evening.

She stopped when she received a phone call again, and saw it was Fury. She chuckled a little and answered it. "Evening, Fury. How was your flight today? Was it long? Did your butt fall asleep while sitting for too long?"

Fury snickered in amusement at her questions. "Is that really the first thing you are going to ask me? But if you must know, my right leg ended up falling asleep, and some old asshole did not get up from his seat to let me stretch my legs. That is how my flight went." She chuckled softly upon hearing his response. "Anyway, I am sure Natasha has informed you about the Qatar attack and the signal that we were able to pick up."

"Yeah, she did. She is one step ahead of you, Nick," Saphira responded as she walked into the kitchen to grab a Dorito bag to take up to her room with her to munch on. "It's a bit unfortunate on what has happened. And no, I haven't worked out exactly where the signal came from. I don't think it is what any of the other countries are currently using though, so I can only make guesses at the moment."

"At least I don't have to inform you about it. But I do hope you can figure out the origin of this signal, as we really don't need a war to start from this. Mr Kellar is expecting you to figure it out before the analysts they recruited at the Pentagon to figure it out do. I am sure you don't want to be bested by a bunch of college students. Especially given your expertise, Saphira."

She rolled her eyes in amusement. "I don't think that they will, if I am honest with you, Fury. But it is good the defence secretary has other people working on it. After all, I think it would be completely unfair to dump the whole thing on me, even though it is important." She walked into her room and over to her computer to sit down and opened the packet of Doritos to enjoy. "But I am having a bit of a lazy tonight."

"I can tell. Let me guess, a bag of Doritos?"

She chuckled softly in amusement at his guess. "You guessed correctly."

Fury chuckled as he was pleased to have guessed it correctly. "I could go for some Doritos now. That sounds good." She smirked as she deliberately bit into one and Fury was a little irritated by her teasing. "Alright, alright! I get it, you want a quiet night. And you're teasing me deliberately with them corn chips." She snorted a little as she chewed on the chips happily. "Anyway, I am glad that you are going to be working on this. The blog is likely not getting any responses right now, so I hope that changes soon."

"Yeah, I think the blog will be a long-term thing, so at least I have something else to think about." Saphira leaned back in the chair with a smile as she thought more about it. "I have to admit it was nice when Nat phoned me, and told me this was happening. I have no idea what else I have to do. And I don't plan on faking going to school."

"I know. That is why I just wanted to check in with you. I had not been sure if you would work it out, but you are usually very fast when it comes to that thing. I guess this is a nice challenge for a change." She nodded as she listened to him quietly. "Anyway, I am sorry, but this was just a quick call. I have to go and speak to some other people now regarding the Qatar attack. The pain in the butt kind of people."

"I figured that was the case. You already had to talk to some people when you got to New York. Your job really does not end. Does it?"

"No, sadly, no." Fury sounded exhausted at his response to her question. "It never ends, Saphira. That's just my position. But it is fulfilling, and I am able to do good for this planet and this country. Have a good rest of your evening. And make sure you rest up enough to tackle figuring out that signal. Have a good night, and enjoy those Doritos."

He hangs up, leaving Saphira to enjoy her Doritos as she decided to watch a movie before she would go to bed. She didn't focus on the strange language and symbols so she could relax properly for the rest of the night. And while she was not focusing on that, she did wonder how things were going to go over the coming days. She figured it would be quiet, she didn't expect much else. But if something was to happen, she would definitely be very surprised.
