What is lost can be regained
Great counterattack. After the Equalists took over the city, Team Avatar was forced to hide until the arrival of reinforcements from the United Forces led by General Iroh II. Unfortunately, the Equalists had a new type of weaponry with which they shot down the entire fleet. Faced with such a situation, they put together a plan to wipe out the Equalists, but in the process, Avatar Korra and Mako discovered the truth about Amon and plan to use it to wipe him out.
In the middle of a snowy forest, Naga could be seen, with Bolin, Asami and Iroh II on her, running in the direction of Hiroshi's hangar where they kept the biplanes.
When they reached their destination, they stopped on a very high ridge where they could see where they were headed.
"I think we've found our secret airfield. Bolin, once we get down there, I need you to tear up those runways. We can't let those aircraft take off." said General Iroh II.
"Aye aye, captain! Ooh, general, general." said Bolin with a military salute and bowing in apology for the slight confusion.
The three went off to accomplish their mission, but Bolin stopped his pace when he heard a groan from Naga and turned to look at her and Pabu, who was standing over her.
"All right, you guys wait here until we get back, okay?" asked Bolin before following the others, but then, Naga tried to take a step forward and Bolin stopped her by raising his hand.
"Uh-uh, stay." said Bolin, causing Naga to lie down before finally allowing him to be able to follow the others.
When they were near the base, they saw some strange poles surrounding the place.
"Why would there be fence posts but no fence?" asked Asami in confusion.
However, as soon as they passed between the poles, the three of them suffered an electric shock that made them scream in pain before falling unconscious.
In another part of town, Ahsoka was riding the bike stealthily with Kaxey sitting behind her.
"How much farther to our destination?" asked Ahsoka.
"According to my calculations, we are about halfway there." said Kaxey.
"Perfect." began Ahsoka before pulling into an alley where she stopped the bike. "We'll continue on foot from here. We don't want to attract too much attention."
"Right, because an alien from outer space and a droid doesn't attract too much attention." said Kaxey sarcastically before the two continued on their way.
They were walking for a while until they stopped at a corner.
Peeking out from there, they saw a huge building that looked quite old.
"That's the place Asami mentioned." said Kaxey.
Ahsoka took out a spyglass with which she started checking the surroundings.
"Mmm. There doesn't seem to be any guards around, but we can't be sure it's empty." began Ahsoka before noticing something on the ground. "What I was saying. Those vehicle markings indicate that this place has been used recently."
"So what do you suggest we do?" asked Kaxey.
Ahsoka turned her head to look at her droid companion with a smile.
"What you do best." said Ahsoka.
Inside the building, there was a kind of factory.
On one side, there was a conveyor belt that carried several blaster guns to the end, where there was a box that was filled with the guns.
In another section, there were people working on electrified gloves and the body of a mecha tank.
Meanwhile, several Equalist soldiers could be seen walking around with their guns in their hands.
"Hey, did you hear about the rally at the arena?" asked one Equalist soldier.
"Yeah, too bad we have to be here guarding this place." said another Equalist soldier.
"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" asked the Equalist soldier.
"Yes, we don't get paid enough." said the other Equalist soldier.
That's when they heard someone knock on the door, to the confusion of everyone in the place.
"Excuse me. I respect your privacy by knocking on the door, but I assert my authority as myself by coming in anyway."
Before anyone could say anything, the door flew out of place and then, Kaxey walked in with two guns in each hand.
"Delivery service." said Kaxey before pointing his guns at the Equalist soldiers.
The next instant, a shower of plasma beams happened all over the place, so the workers fled to escape from the place.
Kaxey calmly walked back and forth to dodge the enemy shots while firing stun beams at the Equalist soldiers, knocking down several of them.
Suddenly, an enemy shot went straight for her head, but Ahsoka suddenly appeared and deflected the shot with her lightsabers, causing it to hit the Equalist soldier who shot before, being knocked down in the process.
With Ahsoka as a shield and support, Kaxey and her were able to take out all of the Equalist soldiers, some being hit by the droid's stun beams or hit by their own shots courtesy of Ahsoka.
"Yeah, we definitely don't get paid enough for this." said the Equalist soldier before a stun beam hit him and knocked him down.
Soon after, the two saw that they had taken down every Equalist soldier in the place.
"Oh, yeah. No one can take us." said Kaxey.
"This is weird." said Ahsoka.
"Weird? You mean we're the best." said Kaxey.
"No, that's not it. I have a bad feeling about this." said Ahsoka.
"Oh, come on. what can go wrong?" asked Kaxey.
Suddenly, the doors on the other side of the room opened and several Equalist soldiers walked in, all with their guns pointed at them, who were shocked at the turn of events.
"Me and my big mouth processor." said Kaxey.
"Dank Farrik." said Ahsoka.
Meanwhile, at the pro-bending arena, guarded by blimps and mecha tanks, many people were gathering for the equalist rally that was to be held there.
Korra and Mako, still in their costumes, stood in the referee area, acting as Equalist soldiers.
The two nodded to each other, as the time was approaching to realize their plan to reveal the truth of the masked man to the world.
It was then that Amon appeared on stage by a rising platform in the middle of the stage and the audience erupted in applause at the arrival of their leader.
"Thank you all for joining me on this historic occasion!" began Amon, as the lieutenant and several Equalist soldiers arrived on stage as well. "When I was a boy, a firebender struck down my entire family and left me scarred. That tragic event began my quest to equalize the world."
"That's a lie, Amon!" shouted Korra drawing the attention of everyone in the stadium as she and Mako removed their masks. "Or should I call you Noatak?" asked Korra using the masked man's real name.
Behind the mask, Amon narrowed his gaze at them as he saw that they somehow knew his secret, though he guessed who it was that told him.
"You want her taken out?" the lieutenant asked, but Amon held up a hand in arrest.
"No." began Amon before taking a couple of steps forward. "Everyone calm down, we have nothing to fear from the Avatar. Let's hear what they have to say." said Amon acting as if he had a trick for this kind of case.
"Amon has been lying to you. The spirits didn't give him the power to take people's bending away. He uses bloodbending to do it. Amon is a waterbender!" revealed Korra pointing at Amon and causing people to gasp in shock.
"What is this nonsense?" asked the lieutenant not believing the Avatar's story.
"You're desperate, Avatar. Making up stories about me is a pathetic last resort." said Amon.
"Your family wasn't killed by a firebender." began Korra before addressing the crowd. " His father was Yakone, and his brother ... is Councilman Tarrlok."
The crowd gasped once again at the other revelation and the lieutenant was beginning to question whether or not what she was saying was true.
"Hmph, an amusing tale, but I will show you the truth." said Amon pulling down his hood and proceeding to remove his mask.
Korra and Mako looked at him suspiciously, for they knew that since he didn't have that supposed scar, if he took off his mask, he would prove them right and that was the weird thing, for if he was confident enough to take off his mask in front of everyone, it meant he had some plan in mind.
Suddenly, when Amon took off his mask, he showed everyone his real face which had a huge burn scar, much to the shock of the audience.
"This is what a firebender did to me." said Amon pointing to his scarred face.
"What?" asked Korra surprised by this, as she didn't expect Amon to actually have a scar on his face.
As Amon put the mask back on, the crowd began to yell at the Avatar about how she was lying, that it wasn't true what she was saying, etc.
"I'm telling you! He's a waterbender." said Korra, but only received more complaints from the crowd.
Mako raised her fists ready to fight as she backed up to stand next to her friend.
"They don't believe me. It didn't work!" said Korra feeling terrible that her plan didn't work.
"We said what we had to. Let's get out of here." said Mako.
Before they could take a step, Equalist soldiers appeared to cut them off with their weapons ready to fire as the two slowly advanced into position to fight.
"I wouldn't leave yet, Avatar. You'll miss the main event." said Amon drawing the attention of the three who turned to look at the stage, where a platform began to rise.
It was then that the two went wide-eyed with shock, for on that platform were several poles and on them were, bound and gagged, Tenzin and his three children.
"No… they got away. We saw them get away!" said Korra horrified that they managed to catch Tenzin and his family despite everything they did to save them.
Back at the Equalist base in the mountains, Bolin, Asami and General Iroh II were bound and unconscious in a cell.
"Asami." began Hiroshi calling out to his daughter, who woke up and sat up to look at him. "Asami, I know I have hurt you… and I am sorry. But I believe that one day, you will come to your senses and we can be a family again." said Hiroshi hopefully to be with his daughter again.
"Are you insane?!" asked Asami as the other two woke up. "How can we be a family after everything you've done?! Mom would hate you for what you've become."
"How dare you? I am avenging her death!" exclaimed Hiroshi angrily.
Just then, an Equalist soldier appeared.
"The airplanes are ready for take-off, sir." said the Equalist soldier.
"Good, annihilate the fleet." said Hiroshi to the surprise of the general and the earthbender. "That's right, general. I intercepted your message to Commander Bumi. I know exactly where they're hiding." said Hiroshi with a smile before leaving.
General Iroh II lowered his head in defeat.
"How are we gonna get out of here?" asked Asami.
"I don't suppose you know how to metalbend?" asked General Iroh II to Bolin.
"That is a negative, Sir." said Bolin.
Due to the hail of gunfire, Ahsoka and Kaxey dived behind some boxes that they used as cover.
Kaxey would occasionally peek out from the box to shoot a couple of shots before taking cover again.
"Should we pull back again?" asked Kaxey.
"Normally, I'd say yes, but we can't back out. If we do, they might rebuild the factory somewhere else. We have to stop them here and now." said Ahsoka before leaning out and using the Force to raise a box which she hurled at the soldiers, knocking a couple of them down while the others continued to shoot.
Before Ahsoka turned back behind the box, she noticed something and turned her gaze upwards, only to be left wide-eyed when she saw the boy standing on an upper floor.
"That's him. He's the Equalist benefactor." said Ahsoka.
"The guy who had me and those weapons ready for them to use? I don't know if that's good luck or bad luck." said Kaxey.
Ahsoka went into a mental debate, she could focus on the soldiers and destroy the factory so the Equalists would no longer have those weapons, but she could also go after the guy and if she did, maybe she could get the answers she was looking for about him.
She didn't want to leave Kaxey alone, but the fact that the boy was there meant a greater benefit for everyone.
So, after much debate, she made a decision.
"Kaxey, I'm going after him, do you think you can take those guys?" asked Ahsoka.
"Ha. Of course I can. Go ahead, go beat that guy up." said Kaxey.
"Thanks, Kaxey." said Ahsoka with a smile.
"One more thing." began Kaxey stopping the togruta. "May the Force be with you."
Ahsoka smiled once more at her droid friend's words.
"May the Force be with you too, friend." said Ahsoka.
After that, Ahsoka took a Force-powered leap to leap over the gunfire and land on the upper floor, where the boy was there, waiting for her.
"Well, well, well. I didn't think you'd come all the way up to me by yourself, padawan. Makes me think you have feelings for me." the boy said.
"The only thing I have feelings for you is curiosity." began Ahsoka before activating her lightsabers and pointing one of them at the boy. "Tell me who you really are."
"Well, if you want an answer so badly…" began the boy before pulling out his electrified tonfas. "You'll have to force it out of me."
Both opponents stood, staring at each other in anticipation of some movement.
Kaxey leaned out from the box and shot a stun beam that hit one of the box, the sound of impact of which was the signal for Ahsoka and the boy to launch themselves at each other to fight with their weapons at the ready.
A few minutes later, the group began to think they had lost, but then, Naga burst through the door.
"Naga! Over here!" said Bolin quietly so as not to alert the enemy.
Naga stood in front of the cell and Pabu got off her head, stepping between the bars and standing next to the others.
Naga reared up on her hind legs and slammed them against the bars of the cell, bending them a little.
She did it a second time and managed to break the bars completely, creating a hole to get in and out.
"Who needs a metalbender? We got Naga! Yeah!" exclaimed Bolin as Pabu proceeded to untie them.
Outside the base, several biplanes were beginning to start their takeoff, just as the others ran out.
"I'm going after those airplanes." said General Iroh II picking up speed.
Naga hoisted Bolin onto her back as she continued to run.
"Ahh! No, Naga!" said Bolin surprised by the polar bear dog's act.
While running, Asami spotted an area full of mecha tanks and, with a smile, headed for that area and once there, climbed into the control cabin of a mecha tank.
Sitting in the cockpit seat, she turned a crank that activated the mecha tank.
"Huh, what do you know… just like a Future Industries forklift." said Asami putting on her belt before the cockpit closed.
Meanwhile, General Iroh II ran with all his might before using firebending to propel himself by expelling fire from his fists and feet, managing to be able to grab onto a biplane that took flight.
The pilot turned his head back in time to see the general running towards him, grabbing him and pulling him out of the plane.
Once in the pilot's seat, General Iroh II tried to steer the biplane, but had quite a bit of trouble with it.
Despite having difficulty handling, General Iroh II proceeded to follow the other biplanes.
Back in the pro-bending arena, Amon was addressing his audience with the imprisoned airbenders at his side.
"Tonight, I rid the world of airbending, forever." said Amon receiving support from the audience.
"Amon, let them go!" demanded Korra.
"You're welcome to come down here and try to stop me." said Amon provoking the Avatar.
"He's trying to bait you." said Mako grabbing Korra's arm in an attempt to stop her.
"I don't care! We have to save them!" said Korra trying to get loose.
"The Avatar needs to be reminded of the power I possess." said Amon starting to walk towards Tenzin.
Suddenly, Mako shot a lightning that struck in the middle of the path between Amon and the airbenders, causing an explosion along with a huge smokescreen
Seizing that moment, Korra and Mako propelled themselves with firebending to the stage by walking along the wall.
An Equalist soldier tried to shoot at them, but they shot him down with a fireball before landing.
Other Equalist soldiers attempted to shoot, but were shot down by fireballs launched by the two.
The crowd began to flee the stage and arena.
While Mako kept the Equalists at bay with his fire attacks, Korra went to free the airbenders.
Once they reached them, Korra removed the airbender's gag.
"Where are Pema and the baby?" asked Korra as she created a fire blade to cut Tenzin's chains.
"In prison." said Tenzin.
"And Beifong?" asked Korra.
"I don't know." said Tenzin before Korra released him completely.
Quickly, Tenzin moved to Mako's side and launched a powerful blast of wind that knocked down the lieutenant and the last Equalist soldier, but Amon dodged the attack and an incoming fireball.
Tenzin spun in midair before sliding his leg along the ground, launching a wave of wind so strong that it sent Amon off the stage.
"Follow me, kids." said Korra, having released the young airbenders, before they all went off to the side.
The group ran down a hallway, but stopped when they reached an intersection of two paths.
"Get them out of here. We'll create a diversion." said Korra.
"Let's go get your mother and the baby." said Tenzin to his children.
"Prison break!" shouted Meelo before he and his family ran off to the side while Korra and Mako stood there, just as Amon appeared and charged towards them.
Korra launched a blast of fire that covered the hallway before the two ran in the opposite direction of the airbenders, though Korra paused for a moment to create a barrier of fire that would slow the masked man down.
The two continued running until they entered a door in the middle of the hallway.
Soon after, Amon passed the fire barrier through the flames and continued on his way.
He could have continued forward, but the sound of the door closing behind him stopped him and he ended up entering the place where they had been hiding.
Amon began to walk quietly through the room until he passed by where Korra was hiding.
Suddenly, Amon stopped, which made the Avatar very nervous, thinking he had found her, but that thought went away as Amon continued walking, causing her to let out a muted sigh of relief.
Suddenly, Korra was dragged out of her hiding place due to Amon using bloodbending on her.
He then began to lift her into the air as she screamed in pain.
That's when Mako came out of his hiding place and threw a fire wave at her which he dodged.
"Let her go!" shouted Mako throwing fireballs at the masked man, but he dodged them all before using bloodbending with his other hand on him as well, paralyzing him as he was lifted into the air and groaned in pain.
After that, Amon threw them against the ground and paralyzed Mako with his bloodbending as he watched Amon use his power on the Avatar as well to force her to her knees.
Mako watched in horror as Amon reached behind Korra and placed his left hand on the back of her neck.
"No!" shouted Korra knowing what he was going to do.
"Korra!" shouted Mako wanting to go save her, but Amon's power kept him unable to move.
Then, Amon put his right thumb on Korra's forehead and she stared in pure horror before letting out a mute scream as she felt her power being taken away.
After that, Amon released the Avatar who fell to the ground.
"I told you I would destroy you." said Amon.
While Kaxey continued his firefight with the Equalist soldiers, having taken down a couple of them, Ahsoka and the boy continued their duel.
For a while, the two were evenly matched for a while, blocking and dodging each other's attacks.
They would have stayed that way longer if the boy hadn't found an opening, so he used it to hit Ahsoka with his electrified tonfas, giving her a mild shock before she recoiled.
Before she could recover, the boy jumped towards her and gave her a horizontal kick in the face, knocking her to the ground.
Ahsoka looked up to see the boy leap towards her with the electric tips of his tonfas aimed at her, but Ahsoka rolled to the side to avoid the impact before launching a Force push that sent the boy backwards.
Ahsoka lunged towards him intending to hit him with her lightsabers, but the boy managed to raise his tonfas in time to block it and they both stood in neutral as they glared at each other.
"When will you realize that both benders and those who use the Force are a plague to be exterminated in the universe?" the boy said.
"What has the Force done to you to make you hate it so much?" asked Ahsoka.
"What did it do? It took everything from me!" said the boy before managing to push her back.
Moving quickly, the boy managed to hit her with a couple of blows with his electrified tonfas, making Ahsoka groan from the pain with each blow.
The boy was about to hit her with the electric tip of both tonfas, but she managed to block him with her lightsabers before pushing him back.
It was then that Ahsoka used the Force to lift him up and send him crashing hard into the back wall, causing him to drop his tonfas before falling to the ground.
"It's over. You're not strong enough. You'd better give up." said Ahsoka before advancing towards him.
The boy's eyes widened as a memory flashed through his mind.
"You're not strong enough. You'd better give up." said an older man's voice.
The boy started to growl as that voice came back through his mind and he looked angry at that.
Just as Ahsoka was halfway through.
"NO!" shouted the boy stretching his hand towards her, throwing lightnings at her.
Ahsoka was so shocked by it that she couldn't dodge it and the lightning grabbed her and lifted her up as she screamed from the pain.
The boy kept his electric grip before thrusting his hand forward, throwing Ahsoka into the wall on the other side before falling to the ground.
Ahsoka braced herself on her hands and knees as she breathed heavily from the pain caused by that electric attack.
"It… It can't be… You…" began Ahsoka looking up to see the boy getting up.
"It seems I have no choice but to tell you." began the boy before taking his tonfas and making some adjustments to them. "It is exactly as you think." said the boy before lowering his tonfas which emitted from each side a red glowing blade. "I am a Sith."
The biplanes had reached Republic City and behind them, General Iroh II shot a lightning at one of them, causing it to collide with another, shooting down two in the process.
Reacting to this, the four remaining biplanes split into two equal groups.
One biplane shot backwards a bola that became entangled in the propeller of the general's plane, forcing the general to jump out of the plane, which exploded shortly thereafter.
In the midst of the fall, General Iroh II propelled himself with firebending into another biplane, eventually catching himself on the top.
He then shot a fireball at the biplane ahead, destroying one of its propellers and causing it to fall.
The biplane he was in swerved to the side to pull him out, but the general rolled to where the pilot was and took him out with a kick of fire.
Unfortunately, shortly after he sat in the pilot's seat, a bomb landed in the back of the biplane.
As the general was trying to stabilize the biplane, the last remaining biplane hovered over him and pulled the lever to drop another bomb.
But General Iroh II realized this and shot a fireball upwards, hitting the bombs seconds after he released one, causing a huge explosion that destroyed the biplane.
General Iroh II's biplane continued to fall directly towards the statue of Aang.
General Iroh II jumped out of the biplane and grabbed onto an Equalist sign he had hung.
The biplane crashed into Amon's mask, causing it to fall and reveal Avatar Aang's face.
"Thanks for looking out for me, Aang." said General Iroh II with a smile.
Back on the runway, Bolin used earthbending to destroy the runways and prevent more biplanes from taking flight as three mecha tanks approached.
The mecha tanks shot their grappling claws at him, who realized too late to try to do anything except wait for the hit, but then, Naga caught the ropes in mid-trajectory and with a tug brought the mecha tanks crashing to the ground just inches from the earthbender's face.
"Whoa! Thanks Naga." said Bolin as Naga fiddled with the ropes a bit before tossing them aside and running at him with her tongue out.
Asami was in the hangar destroying one of the remaining biplanes with the mecha tank.
"Asami!" the engineer turned around to see a mecha tank being driven by her father. "What do you think you're doing? You are aiding the very people who took your mother away!" said Hiroshi.
"You don't feel love for Mom anymore. You're too full of hatred." said Asami preparing the mecha tank to fight.
"You ungrateful, insolent child!" said Hiroshi furious with his daughter.
Hiroshi advanced his mecha tank straight towards Asami, who launched her grappling claws, but Hiroshi's mecha tank dodged them as it continued on its way.
Before Asami could react, Hiroshi struck her and sent her flying to the side, knocking her mecha tank down in the process.
Hiroshi aimed his mecha tank in front of his daughter's and hit the control booth window, shattering the glass in the process.
Asami put her arms out in front to protect herself from the broken glass.
"I now see there is no chance to save you!" shouted Hiroshi having lost his sanity and affection for his daughter.
He raised his fist to deliver the final blow, but an incoming rock struck him, drawing his attention.
Turning to the side, he saw Bolin on top of Naga, who was running towards him, while the earthbender was throwing rocks towards the mecha tank.
"Mr. Sato, you are a horrible father!" said Bolin as he continued to throw rocks at the mecha tank.
That was distraction enough for Asami to lift her mecha tank, pierce the mecha tank's right arm with her pincers and then hurl it towards the other side of the hangar, ripping its arm off in the process.
As Hiroshi groaned from the pain, Asami used her mecha tank's grapples to pry open the cockpit.
Hiroshi stared at her in fear as Asami glared at him with hatred, but as soon as she softened, Hiroshi turned from fear to anger before pulling a lever, thus launching his final grappling claw, but Asami dodged it.
However, that served as a distraction for Hiroshi to get out of the mecha tank and run away.
"You really are a horrible father." said Asami regretfully and sadly before shooting a disc of three whips that wrapped around her father before sending him into an electric shock that knocked him unconscious.
Asami shed a tear at how the situation had ended.
Her father may have done horrible things and even tried to hurt her, but despite everything, he was still her father.
Kaxey maintained her current position, hiding behind a box to avoid enemy gunfire while peeking out from time to time to shot a few stun beams, knocking down only a few.
"Agh. At this rate, more reinforcements could arrive and then, the situation would be disastrous. I have to end this right away." said Kaxey analyzing the situation and looking for the best way to resolve it.
It was then that an idea flashed through her robotic mind.
It might work, but it would be too risky and she knew it.
However, there was no other alternative in order to end this war.
"I know I said I wouldn't do anything risky, Korra, but if I don't do this, we're all doomed." began Kaxey thinking about what the Avatar asked of her before they parted ways. "Anyway, if I don't get out of this, I'm glad I met all of you."
With firm resolve, Kaxey rose from her hiding place and began shooting at all the soldiers as she charged towards them.
As she ran, she dodged managed to dodge some shots while others managed to hit her, making her pause for a moment before charging towards them again.
Despite having holes in her body and smoke coming out of some parts, she kept moving forward as she was taking down equalist soldiers.
It was then that an enemy shot managed to hit the recently repaired leg, causing it to come off again and not only that, but they also hit the left arm so many times that it ended up hanging and useless.
Kaxey was about to fall, but she kept going even if it was by hopping on one leg.
"Come on! Is that the best you can do?!" asked Kaxey without stopping shooting her remaining weapon and moving forward.
The Equalist soldiers began to get nervous and were falling back as they kept firing.
Suddenly, just as Kaxey took down another soldier with a stun shot, the soldier took one last shot before falling to the ground, but the plasma beam hit an electrified gauntlet and the explosion sent it flying into a pile of wood before it began to release a few sparks.
Kaxey had stopped advancing and stood when she noticed that only one enemy remained.
Both she and the soldier stood staring at each other with guns pointed at each other like in a Wild West duel.
"Fine. We can end this the easy way… or the hard way." said Kaxey doing her best to stand even though he only had one leg.
They continued to stand there for a couple of minutes…
PEW
They both shot at the same time.
While the stun beam hit the soldier directly, knocking him down in the process, Kaxey took the enemy shot directly in the chest, knocking her backwards.
Kaxey let out a couple of groans from the pain caused by her wounds.
"If it weren't for the fact that I'm missing a leg, I'd jump for joy." said Kaxey.
Suddenly, she noticed something off to the side and turned her head to see the electrified glove next to the wood begin to release sparks violently and those sparks impacted the wood, causing it to catch fire.
What was worse was that the fire began to spread all over the place.
"Dank Farrik. I hope Ahsoka is doing better than me." said Kaxey.
Meanwhile, Ahsoka was still in shock to discover that the boy was a Sith, a user of the Dark Side of the Force.
So far, she had only faced few Sith, but she knew they were powerful opponents.
"I... I don't understand." began Ahsoka picking up her lightsabers and slowly rising to her feet. "If you are a Sith, why do you hate the Force?"
"Well, since you now know my secret, I'll tell you the truth about me." began the boy making Ahsoka stand at attention to listen to the story.
Flashback
"My name is Zoran Arkactis. When I was a child, I lived on a peaceful planet with my family and my people."
As he was telling the story, a jungle landscape came into view and in a clearing there were several houses with people around, either chatting, playing or passing by.
"My father was a builder, my mother was a nurse and I who stayed at home taking care of my little sister."
Then there was the sight of a family consisting of a man, a woman, a four-year-old girl and a red-haired, 10-year-old boy.
"We all lived in the village without causing trouble to anyone, so there was no reason for them to attack us. Or so we thought."
Suddenly, a shadow loomed over the village and everyone raised their heads to see a huge spaceship above them, causing people to panic.
The man and woman hugged their two children as the four of them looked fearfully at the huge ship.
"Before we knew it, the Separatists launched an attack on our planet."
Several combat droids were then seen walking around shooting anyone who tried to flee or resist, as well as destroying the huts and everything around.
"My family and I desperately tried to flee, but unfortunately, my parents decided to stay behind."
The family of four was running through the jungle until the parents stopped.
"Mom. Dad. What's wrong?" asked Zoran.
"My children, go ahead without us." said the father.
"What? No! We're not leaving you behind!" said Zoran.
"Don't worry. We'll be right with you." began the mother before kneeling down to their level. "Until we get there, please take care of your sister."
"I will." said Zoran shedding a couple of tears.
The mother placed a kiss on both children' foreheads.
"I love you both very much." said the mother before getting up.
Soon after, the children kept running while the parents went in the other direction.
"My sister and I were running for a while until I felt my legs getting tired."
After a while of running, Zoran stopped to catch his breath.
Looking around, he found a tree with a hollow hole in it.
"Quick. Hide here." began Zoran stuffing his sister inside the tree. "I'm going to go get mom and dad. You don't move from here until I come back, understood?" asked Zoran receiving a nod from his sister.
After that, Zoran took off running in the direction in which his parents left.
"I knew from the beginning what they were going to do, but I was still hoping to see them again. That we could be together despite the situation. However, it wasn't to be."
Zoran kept running until he noticed something in the road, but as soon as he realized what it was, he stopped and let out a gasp of horror as he covered his mouth with his hands, for in front of him, lay the lifeless bodies of his parents.
"Mom. Dad." said Zoran shedding tears.
AAHH
"NO!" shouted Zoran as he recognized that cry and ran back at full speed the way he came, hoping to make it in time.
When he got back to where his sister was, he froze as there was a pair of combat droids in front of the tree and out of the hole came an arm lying on the ground.
Zoran was in shock as he realized it was too late.
"Looks like there's one left. We'd better take him out." said a combat droid noticing the boy.
"Roger. Roger." said the other combat droid before both droids pointed their weapons at him.
Zoran continued in shock until suddenly something welled up inside him.
A furious rage filled him completely and he began to snarl and grit his teeth before…
Zoran screamed in rage at full volume before extending his hands towards the droids causing them to begin to rise.
Before they could say anything, Zoran drove them into a tree, then into another, then back into the previous one and so on until, with another scream of rage, he sent them crashing to the ground, turning them into a pile of scrap metal.
After that, Zoran was left gasping for air, still with a look of rage.
"It was then… when I met him."
"Impressive. Very impressive."
Zoran turned around to see an older man with a white beard and cloak.
"Back off! Stay back!" exclaimed Zoran angrily.
"Take it easy, boy. I'm not going to do anything to you. I've seen what you've done and I recognize that you have talent." said the older man.
"What does that matter? My family is dead and all because of those things!" said Zoran pointing to the pile of junk.
"I'm sorry for what happened to your family. They were just other victims of war." the older man said.
"War?" asked Zoran calming down a bit.
"Yes. You have great power, boy. Join me and I will help you so that you can use your power to help me stop this war and prevent others from suffering like you." said the older man.
Zoran stood for a while thinking about the offer until he came to a decision.
"All right. I will do it." said Zoran with determination.
"Good decision. May I know your name?" asked the older man.
"Zoran. Zoran Arkactis." said Zoran.
"Well, Zoran, you may call me Master, but people recognize me as…" began the older man.
"Count Dooku." said Zoran revealing the man's name, to Ahsoka's surprise.
"Wait, Count Dooku was your master?" asked Ahsoka.
"Yes. He taught me about the ways of the Dark Side of the Force. He told me about the Sith, the Jedi and our goal to bring peace to the galaxy by ridding it of them, but that changed that night." said Zoran.
Flashback
"One day, I went to see him to ask him about our next move, but when I was near his office, I heard him talking to someone he recognized as… master."
Zoran, about the age of the present and without a mask, was walking through the halls of a building for a moment until he reached the door leading to Dooku's office.
He was about to enter when…
"Master." said Count Dooku from the other side of the door.
Feeling curious, Zoran stood in place to listen to him.
"All is going according to our plans." said an old man whose voice was sinister.
"That's right, master. Soon, our plans to dominate the galaxy will come to fruition." said Count Dooku.
"How goes your apprentice?" asked the old man.
"His power is increasing by the moment. I think he might even surpass me, master." said Count Dooku.
"True. He is becoming powerful. Too powerful." said the old man.
"What would you have me do now, master?" asked Count Dooku.
"Keep an eye on him and if at any time he shows signs of rebellion, finish him off." said the old man.
Zoran was shocked when he heard that and a part of him expected his master to defend him.
"So shall it be done, Lord Sidious." said Count Dooku.
"At that moment, I finally understood. The cause of all wars wasn't the droids or the people themselves..."
"BUT THE FORCE." declared Zoran angrily.
"The Force isn't responsible for wars!" said Ahsoka.
"Of course it is! Those who use the Force claim to act for peace, but they only use it to break down those who don't use it and manipulate the weak!" said Zoran.
"That's not true!" said Ahsoka.
"Oh no? You think I don't know about you? I know that your friend had you charged with a crime you didn't commit and the Jedi Council didn't hesitate to find you guilty!" said Zoran, surprising the togruta when she saw that he knew about it.
"After that. I went to talk to my 'dear master' with the intention of finishing him off." said Zoran.
Flashback
Zoran was seen lying on the ground and groaning from the pain as Count Dooku walked towards him with his red lightsaber activated.
"You're not strong enough. You'd better give up." said Count Dooku.
"Never! I won't only finish you! I will finish all those who use the Force! Both Jedi and Sith!" declared Zoran angrily.
"You keep talking nonsense." said Count Dooku raising his lightsaber to deliver the final blow, but before it impacted, Zoran managed to draw his tonfas with the Force and activated the red blades to block his master's sword.
The two kept pressing each other before Zoran pushed Count Dooku away from him.
Taking advantage of that, Zoran got up and prepared to flee the scene, but then, Count Dooku shot a pair of lightnings from his hand that managed to hit him in the face before Zoran managed to escape.
Presently, Zoran reached his hand towards his mouth mask and removed it, causing Ahsoka to gasp in surprise as his entire chin was scarred from that lightning attack.
"This is what a Force user did to me." said Zoran pointing to his scar.
"There is one thing I still don't understand. How did you come to this planet? How did you join Amon?" asked Ahsoka wanting to know the whole truth.
"Oh, dear padawan, that's quite a funny story." said Zoran.
Flashback
"After escaping from my master, I managed to steal a ship."
Zoran, holding his wounded face, ran through the grounds of the place until he reached a ship, which he soon got started and had it blast off into space.
"It was a smooth ride, honestly, but then…"
Zoran was quiet in the cockpit when suddenly the ship jerked violently and, looking at the radars, he discovered a larger ship behind him.
"Some pirates found me. I didn't want to waste my time with them, so I tried to make a jump at the speed of light, but unfortunately, the ship had a tractor beam that pulled me into it, so it had no choice but to act."
The ship was pulled into the interior of the ship, where there were several aliens pointing their weapons at the entrance as soon as it landed.
"All right, whoever you are, you'd better cooperate with us or we won't respond!" said one of the aliens.
The door of the ship opened to reveal Zoran, wearing his mouth mask, and the pirates pointed their weapons at him.
"Now put your hands up and come over here." said another alien.
Instead, however, Zoran pulled out his tonfas and activated his red blades, leaving the pirates in shock.
"T-Those blades." said an alien.
"It can't be. He's a…" said another alien.
"A Sith!" exclaimed another alien in awe.
Zoran began advancing towards them and the pirates wasted no time in shooting at him, but Zoran managed to deflect the shots with the red blades of his tonfas before charging towards them.
"In a matter of minutes, I finished off all the pirates and took control of the ship."
Images of Zoran hacking, stabbing, impaling, choking or electrocuting them flashed by one at a time.
"It was a surprise to me when I discovered the merchandise they were carrying. The guns, the bike, the droid, the beskar… everything."
Zoran entered a room that was filled with boxes and when he opened one, he found it filled with blaster guns.
He opened another box and it was full of beskar plates.
He then pulled aside a couple of blankets to reveal the slider bike and Kaxey in a powered down state.
"I intended to sell all that and with the money, I would get the resources to fulfill my ambition to wipe out all those who use the Force, but the universe had other plans."
As Zoran was driving the ship, suddenly, a hole appeared in the middle of space.
Zoran reacted quickly and tried to change the ship's course, but the force of attraction of the hole ended up dragging him down and swallowing him completely.
"After that, when I woke up, I realized that the ship had crashed on a planet in the Unknown Regions. This planet."
Zoran got out of the ship and saw that it was lying in the middle of a meadow.
"I was traveling, researching, trying to find a way to repair my ship so I could leave and that's when I met Noatak."
"Noatak?" asked Ahsoka in confusion.
"Oh, right. Now you know him better as Amon." said Zoran.
"What?" asked Ahsoka surprised.
"Yes, it turns out that our dear leader isn't non-bender, he is a bloodbender, just like his brother, Tarrlok." said Zoran revealing Amon's truth.
Ahsoka was really surprised.
She always thought Amon was a skilled warrior with a strange and fearsome ability, but now it turns out that was all a lie.
The whole Equalist movement was built on a lie.
That's why Amon could defeat all the benders, because he used bloodbending to manipulate them in such a way that they didn't even realize it.
"We were talking and realized that we shared the same dream. To put an end to those with superhuman abilities and bring equality everywhere. So we made a deal. I would give him the resources to power his plan and once that was completed, he would help me repair my ship so that together we could bring equality to all the planets in the galaxy." said Zoran.
Now Ahsoka was determined to finish him off.
If she didn't, the Equalists could travel beyond that planet and could go all the way to Coruscant where they would attack all Jedi, be they masters, padawans or younglings.
"I won't allow any of you to leave this planet! As soon as people know the truth about you and Amon, they will stop following you!" said Ahsoka pointing her green lightsaber at him.
"They'll never know it! Because you won't be alive to tell them!" said Zoran before lunging towards her as Ahsoka lunged towards him.
Without both of them noticing, the fire had reached the floor they were on.
Ahsoka and Zoran engaged in a lightsabers fight, trying to hit their opponent, but their attacks were either dodged or blocked.
Ahsoka tried to hit him from above, but Zoran blocked the blades with his tonfas before pushing her back.
He then tried to land a side hit, but Ahsoka positioned her lightsabers to block the attack before backing up and giving him a Force push to send him backwards.
Zoran then launched a lightning attack towards Ahsoka, but she blocked it with her crossed lightsabers and while maintaining the block, Zoran moved closer and closer to her.
When he was close enough, he undo the lightning attack and before Ahsoka could react, he kicked her in the stomach, knocking her back.
After that, the two returned to a lightsaber duel and that time, Zoran showed a better command of his skills, forcing Ahsoka to go on the defensive as he pushed her back.
Their combat ended up taking them to the building's attic, where Ahsoka was starting to have trouble defending herself further.
Then, blocking another strike from above from her laser tonfas, Ahsoka ended up on her knees.
"Don't you understand? I am a Sith and you are but a Padawan. Once I am done with you, I will go after your friend the Avatar. I will show her mercy by killing her after Amon takes her powers from her." said Zoran.
Ahsoka began to growl, not only from the effort to maintain her blockade, but from the fact that she wasn't going to let them do anything to her best friend.
"First, I'm not a Padawan anymore!" exclaimed Ahsoka managing to get enough strength to stand up and push Zoran away from her. "And second, I won't let you do anything to my best friend!"
"How cute. In that case, I'll make sure you two get together in the afterlife!" said Zoran before launching a lightning attack from his hand at Ahsoka, but she blocked it with her crossed lightsabers.
While maintaining her block, Ahsoka began to remember the things she went through with Korra.
The moment they met, the moment she told her her story, the moment they went to the pro-bending arena, the moment she encouraged her to trust herself, the moment she encouraged her after she confessed about Barriss, and the moment they said goodbye.
"May the Force be with you. To all of you." said Korra in Ahsoka's memory.
With enormous scream of effort, Ahsoka managed to deflect the lightnings, causing them to hit Zoran and send him crashing through the wall.
Ahsoka gasped a couple of times from exertion and exhaustion before running to where Zoran had gone.
When she reached the hole, she was horrified when she saw Zoran with one hand clutching a bar as he dangled over a fire pit.
"Quick! Give me your hand!" said Ahsoka.
For a moment, Zoran reconsidered her offer and moved his hand a little, but then, he remembered all that he suffered and the cause for it, so he lowered his hand as a sign that he wouldn't accept the help.
Zoran gave Ahsoka a look of pure hatred.
"Someday, you Jedi will become extinct." began Zoran before he let go of the bar and began to fall over the fire with his arms outstretched, as if embracing death. "I curse you and all Jedi!" shouted Zoran before the flames consumed him.
Ahsoka stared at the fire Zoran fell into.
He may have been evil or trying to kill all the benders and Force users with Amon, but he wasn't evil at heart.
He just wanted everyone to treat each other the same, it was just that his ways weren't right.
It was then that she noticed the building was on fire and remembered a certain droid she left behind.
"Kaxey!" exclaimed Ahsoka with concern before turning back the way she came.
Soon after, the building was engulfed in flames and collapsed in on itself.
All that was being watched by Ahsoka and Kaxey, whom she had pulled out in time along with the Equalist soldiers inside.
"So, is it over for that guy?" asked Kaxey.
"Yes, it is." said Ahsoka.
"Do you think Korra will be okay? If it's true what she told you about Amon, then he's more dangerous than I thought." said Kaxey.
"I know, but now we can only trust her and that the Force can help her." began Ahsoka looking up at the sky, thinking worriedly about her friend. "Korra, I hope you are well."
Meanwhile, Amon was still using bloodbending on Mako to keep him paralyzed while Korra was on all fours, in total shock at having lost her powers.
"Finally, you are powerless." said Amon.
Korra used what little strength she had to try to throw a fireball at him, but nothing happened and she fell to the ground.
"Amon!" shouted the lieutenant behind the masked man. "Everything the Avatar said is true, isn't it? I just saw you bloodbend them." said the lieutenant, but he received nothing but a glare from the masked man and took off his mask, feeling betrayed.
He crushed the mask and shot a furious glare at his leader.
"You traitor! I dedicated my life to you!" said the lieutenant pulling out his electrified sticks and lunging to fight him.
However, before he could reach him, Amon used bloodbending on him and lifted him into the air while bending him backwards.
"You've served me well, Lieutenant." said Amon before throwing the lieutenant into a pile of metal sticks that landed on top of him.
After that, Amon started to walk towards Mako as Korra tried to get up, but what Amon did to her nearly knocked her off her feet.
As Amon forced him to get up, Mako used the maximum of his strength to get his fingers in position and throw a lightning at the masked man, making him scream in pain before being sent against the wall.
Now that he was free of his grip, Mako launched a few fireballs that hit some nearby objects that landed on Amon.
After that, he approached Korra and caught her in bridal form before he ran out of the room.
As they ran through the halls, Korra opened her eyes to look at the firebender.
"Mako… my bending." said Korra.
"Everything will be all right! We just need to get out of here." said Mako before he suddenly froze, causing Korra to fall to the ground with a groan.
The cause of it was Amon, who was behind him and using bloodbending to throw him against the ceiling before dropping him.
He then sent him crashing into the walls before he fell to the ground.
"I'm impressed. No one has ever gotten the better of me like that." said Amon advancing towards him.
With his bloodbending, he forced Mako to his knees with his back to him.
"It is almost a shame to take the bending of someone so talented. Almost." said Amon stepping up behind him.
When Korra was able to open her eyes, she watched in horror as Amon was about to take away Mako's powers.
She couldn't allow it.
She had already lost her powers, she couldn't let her friend lose his powers and all because he wanted to go with her.
"NO!" shouted Korra standing up and as she threw her fist, she suddenly shot a blast of air that pushed Amon backwards while Mako was pushed to the side of the hallway before looking at Korra in surprise.
"Impossible!" said Amon in total shock as he thought that, having had her powers removed, she would no longer be able to bending any other element.
Korra's eyes widened in surprise as she looked down at her hands.
"I… I can airbend? " asked Korra before rising up and looking seriously at the masked man. "I can airbend!" declared Korra before moving forward and launching a blast of air that hit Amon in the ceiling.
She then launched another blast of air.
Amon tried to shield himself with his arms in the X position, but the force of the wind knocked him against the wall at the end of the hallway.
Suddenly, Amon used bloodbending on her before she could launch another air attack.
Amon intended to finish her off forever with his power.
"Looks like I'll have to finish you off for good. If it's any consolation, I'll do the same to your alien friend later." said Amon.
Korra couldn't let him get away with this.
She had to protect Mako, Ahsoka, the benders and non-benders all over the planet as well as those in space.
It was then that, despite this, she was able to endure and resist the bloodbending.
"No… you… don't!" shouted Korra before throwing her arms forward.
Nothing may not have come out, but something did push Amon violently, sending him through the window at the end of the hallway and falling into the water.
The people near the stadium saw Amon fall into the water and went to the edge of the platform to find out what was going on.
Korra and Mako approached the hole Korra created by throwing Amon in, receiving insults from the people as they realized she had finished off their leader.
Suddenly, Amon emerged from the water on a tornado of water as the scar on his face was fading, revealing it to be pure makeup.
Needless to say, the people who saw him were shocked to discover the truth of their leader.
"He's waterbending."
"He is a bender."
"The scar is fake."
"The Avatar was telling the truth."
So went the people who, at first, trusted Amon, only to feel betrayed.
Amon and Korra shared a frowning look before the unmasked one unraveled the tornado of water to flee.
Mako threw fireballs at him, but he ended up escaping through the water.
Once they lost sight of the Equalist leader, Korra and Mako shared an embrace.
But even if they managed to take down the Equalists, there was the issue that Korra had lost her bending on the other elements.
At the Air Temple, Tarrlok was still in his cell when he received an unexpected visitor.
"Noatak." said Tarrlok recognizing his older brother.
"It's over, brother. I'm sorry for what I had to do to you." said Amon (Noatak).
"Our father set us on this path; fate caused us to collide. I should have left with you when we were boys." said Tarrlok.
Amon (Noatak) opened the cell door.
"Leave with me now. We have a second chance. We can start over, together. Please, you're all I have left in the world." said Amon (Noatak).
When the people learned of Amon's truth, most of the soldiers surrendered knowing that they were following a fake, although there were some who maintained a belief that it was a lie or a set-up to make them surrender, but they were arrested.
Thanks to the cooperation of some of those who surrendered, all the prisoners were able to be rescued, including the council members (except Tarrlok), Saikhan, the policemen and Lin Beifong.
When the Team Avatar and Tenzin's family was fully reunited, everyone was shocked by three things.
First was Kaxey's condition, though they were relieved when Asami said there was a way to repair it, much to the droid's delight.
Second was finding out that the boy who collaborated with Amon and was from space turned out to be a Sith, but then, Ahsoka told them about his death and they all felt a bit of relief that such an enemy would no longer bother them.
However, the most surprising thing for everyone was when they found out what Amon had done to Korra, but the one who was in the biggest shock was Ahsoka, who could only hug her friend while they both cried silently about what had happened.
The next morning, everyone was gathered at the port of Air Temple Island, including Lin, who was looking sadly at Korra.
"I can't believe Amon got you too." said Lin.
"If only I had gotten there in time…" said Ahsoka lowering her head in sadness.
"It wasn't your fault, Ahsoka. Really." said Korra not wanting her friend to feel bad.
"Hey, at least you unlocked your airbending" said Bolin trying to lighten up the situation, but only received frowning looks from the others.
"Bro, not the time." said Mako.
"Learn to read the atmosphere." said Kaxey who was in a wheelchair due to her condition.
"Right, right, I'll just stand over here." began Bolin before backing away a bit. "Quietly, in silence." whispered Bolin before covering his mouth with his hands.
Later, the group gathered to see a United Forces ship passing near the island.
"You saved Republic City." said Tenzin to the Avatar.
"But Amon got away." said Korra.
"I don't think it matters much. He no longer has influence over people now that it's known that he was actually a bender." said Ahsoka.
Tenzin put his hand on her shoulders to cheer her up a little, as she had suffered a terrible loss.
At that moment, the United Forces ship began to approach the island's harbor.
"Yay, Uncle Bumi's here!" said Ikki.
On the boat stood a man with a wild grin, possibly it was Commander Bumi, Tenzin's older brother.
"Waaaa-hoooo!" shouted Bumi before smiling again.
"*Sigh of defeat* Great, now I have to entertain my brother." said Tenzin in annoyance and defeat before going to greet his older brother.
Later, on a boat moving in the middle of the ocean, were Amon (Noatak) and his brother, Tarrlok.
"The two of us together again, there's nothing we can't do!" said Amon (Noatak) with a smile.
"Yes, Noatak." said Tarrlok without emotion.
"Noatak. Hmph, I had almost forgotten the sound of my own name." said Amon (Noatak) with a nostalgic smile.
Despite his brother's words, Tarrlok knew that nothing would ever go back to the way it was, as he still felt terrible for everything he did to Korra, Ahsoka, her friends, non-benders and the entire city.
It was then that Tarrlok, who had made a profound decision, took one of the many electrified gloves on the boat, silently opened the compartment where the boat's fuel was and put the hand holding the glove over the hole.
"It will be just like the good old days." said Tarrlok with his eyes closed.
Amon (Noatak), although not looking back, knew what his brother was going to do and let out a tear.
The next instant, an explosion ripped the boat apart and destroyed the two brothers.
Days later, at the South Pole White Lotus complex, Mako, Bolin, Asami, Ahsoka, Kaxey, Tenzin, his family, Lin and Korra's parents were waiting patiently in a room.
It was then, when Katara arrived, who wore a sad expression.
"I've tried everything in my power, but I cannot restore Korra's bending." said Katara lowering her head in sadness.
"But you're the best healer in the world, you have to keep trying!" said Lin trying to hold out hope.
"I'm sorry, there's nothing else I can do. Korra can still airbend, but her connection to the other elements has been severed." said Katara.
At that, Lin lowered her head, having given up hope.
Everyone hung their heads in sadness at that.
Soon after, Korra came out of the room she was in earlier and looked around at everyone there.
"It's going to be all right Korra." said Tenzin trying to comfort her.
"No, it's not." said Korra before walking outside.
Mako stared in the direction she was going before running to catch up with her.
"Korra, wait." shouted Mako, causing Korra to stop as he caught up to her.
"Go away." said Korra turning her head to look at him before turning her gaze forward.
"I will, but I just want you to know, I'm here for you." said Mako.
"No." began Korra before turning to look at him. "I mean, go away, back to Republic City. Get on with your life." said Korra crossing her arms.
"What are you talking about?" asked Mako.
"I'm not the Avatar anymore. You don't need to do me any favors." said Korra walking away from him, but Mako stopped her by putting his hand on her shoulder.
"I don't care if you're the Avatar or not." began Mako before taking his hand off her shoulder. "Listen, when Tarrlok took you I was losing my mind at the thought of never seeing you again, I realized… I love you, Korra." confessed Mako placing his hand on her cheek.
"I… I can't." said Korra pushing Mako's hand away from her and running to Naga.
"Korra!" said Mako as Korra jumped on the polar bear dog and they ran away from the complex.
At that moment, Tenzin came to Mako's side.
"We need to be patient with her. It will take time for her to accept what has happened." said Tenzin trying to comfort him.
Meanwhile, Ahsoka stood behind them, observing everything.
She couldn't believe that her friend, who aspired to be the Avatar the world needed was now just a girl hurting from the loss of something very important to her.
It was then that she remembered how she felt when she left the Jedi Order, but there was someone who was able to make her smile even in the darkest hour.
Soon after, Korra reached a cliff.
She left Naga behind and approached the edge, where she stood looking out at the ocean in front of her.
Tears ran down her face and a drop fell into the ocean.
She was supposed to be the Avatar, the bender of the four elements.
It took a lot to happen before she could learn to airbend, but what good was that when she had lost bending of the other elements because of Amon?
How could she fulfill her duty as Avatar if she could no longer use the powers to match?
Not taking it anymore, Korra burst into tears and as she sat down and buried her head between her legs.
"I knew I'd find you here."
Korra turned her head to look at Ahsoka giving her a smile.
"Leave me alone, Ahsoka. I want to be alone." said Korra burying her head between her legs again.
Regardless, Ahsoka sat down next to her.
"Well I don't want to leave you alone. Korra, you mustn't lose hope." said Ahsoka.
"Hope in what?! In getting my powers back?! You heard Katara! There's no way I can get them back! I may bend the air, but without the other elements, I can no longer consider myself the Avatar!" said Korra with tears streaming down her face.
"Korra, being the Avatar doesn't mean it's mandatory that you bend the four elements. You say that with them, the Avatar is the most important person in the world, but so far, I haven't seen anything like that." said Ahsoka.
"What?" asked Korra in confusion.
"When we first met, you can't airbend, but despite that, you did a lot of things. You joined the Fire Ferrets, helping them reach the finals; you saved Bolin from Amon, you found out about Hiroshi, you supported me when I told you about Barriss, you defended those civilians, you escaped from Tarrlok and you unmasked Amon. In my opinion, it's not the powers that make the Avatar, it's their actions and as far as I'm concerned, you are a true Avatar." said Ahsoka.
Korra was taken aback by this and began to think about what she said.
It was true that she can't airbend then, but that didn't stop her from fighting the Equalists and Amon for the sake of protecting the people of Republic City.
Although she had to admit that she didn't do it all alone.
Many people helped her and some of those people had become her friends even though they didn't know she was the Avatar or that she wasn't at all.
"Do you really think so?" asked Korra wiping away tears.
"Of course I do. And if people don't trust you anymore because of it, I will always trust you." said Ahsoka with a grin.
Korra gave the togruta a smile before giving her a hug which she returned.
"And I will always trust you, Ahsoka." said Korra.
It was then that they both felt a presence nearby.
"Not now Tenzin, can't you leave us alone for a moment?" asked Korra thinking it was the airbender.
"But you called me here."
Korra and Ahsoka startled before looking back to see a certain someone.
"Aang." said Korra with a smile, happy to see the former Avatar.
Ahsoka was surprised to see the Avatar before Korra.
"Avatar Aang! It's… It's such an honor to meet you." said Ahsoka a little nervous to meet the previous Avatar in person despite being a spirit.
"Same here, Ahsoka." said Aang surprising her that he knew her.
"But how come you're here?" asked Korra.
"You have finally connected with your spiritual self." said Aang.
"How?" asked Korra getting up as did Ahsoka.
"When we hit our lowest point, we are open to the greatest change." said Aang as suddenly all the Avatars from the past appeared behind him.
Ahsoka was impressed to see the immense number of Avatars there have been throughout history.
She could practically form an entire order with all of them.
Aang placed his right hand on Korra's shoulder, who closed her eyes, as he placed his left thumb on her forehead and suddenly his eyes and tattoos began to glow, as did the eyes of the previous Avatars and an aura of light surrounded Aang and Korra.
After that, Aang separated from Korra and he and the Avatars of the past disappeared.
Korra stood there keeping her eyes closed until, suddenly, she snapped them open, revealing them to be glowing, a symbol that she had entered the Avatar State.
Then Korra soared into the air above a tornado, causing Ahsoka to cover her face.
Suddenly, Korra launched a wind wave, a fire wave and an earth wave before causing a huge wave to crash against the cliff.
Soon after, Korra landed on the ground and came out of the Avatar State.
"I can't believe it! Korra, you got your powers back!" said Ahsoka with a smile.
"Yes, I did." began Korra before realization hit her and she smiled in pure joy. "I did!" exclaimed Korra with joy before she and the togruta shared a hug.
"I told you not to lose hope." said Ahsoka.
"I know. You were right." said Korra.
"By the way, I think it's time you talked to someone else." said Ahsoka.
Korra was confused before she broke away from her and turned to see Mako looking at her in surprise before giving her a smile.
Korra smiled back before running over to him and sharing a mutual hug.
"I love you too." said Korra before she and Mako shared a tender kiss on the lips.
Ahsoka smiled at the tender moment between them.
"Well, it's about time." said Ahsoka crossing her arms.
Later, Lin bowed in front of Korra, who placed her hands on her shoulder and forehead before entering the Avatar State.
When she finished, Lin stood up and lifted several rocks from the area, signaling that she had regained her powers of bending.
There was a mixture of amazement and happiness among the others and soon after, Lin lowered the rocks before looking up at the Avatar with a smile of thanks.
"Thank you." said Lin to the Avatar, who bowed in thanks.
Then, Tenzin walked over to Korra.
"I am so proud of you, Avatar Korra." said Tenzin with a proud smile.
Korra was happy, not only because she had great friends (or boyfriend), but also because she was finally a full Avatar.
It was then, when she remembered something and turned her gaze to the togruta.
"Ahsoka, can I ask you a question?" asked Korra.
"Let her go." said Ahsoka.
"What are you going to do now? Now that the war is over and you have Zoran's ship, you have no reason to stay anymore." said Korra a little sad at the scenario of having to say goodbye to her best friend.
"First, even if I have a ship, it will take a long time to repair it and second, just because a war is over, doesn't mean I have to leave. After all, what better place to be on this planet than with my friends." said Ahsoka with a smile that Korra and the other humans on Team Avatar returned.
Ahsoka may not have originally intended to go to that planet, but it was certainly the best one she could have ended up on, for there she was able to experience good times with those she considers her trusted friends.
She didn't know what the future held for her on that planet, but if the Force brought her there, to the Avatar, it had to be for a reason and until she can leave, she will continue to enjoy her time there with Korra and everyone else.
AN: And here we end this story from a galaxy far, far away.
I hope I got Zoran's backstory right.
I know many of you were asking about Anakin or Obi Wan or any other Star Wars character.
I can only tell you that I have planned WHO will appear in this saga and who won't, so don't bother asking me what or who to include.
Now it's time to wait until the second part, where I plan to do great things.
Sorry, but I can't say anything more than that.
I'll see you!
