Episode 2: Basic training
Chapter 1As everyone stood at attention, Miho spoke again, "alright everyone, before we get started with today's practice, let me just introduce myself and my vice-commander. I am Miho McNeil, your corps commander." Miho introduced herself before Annelien spoke up as well, "and I am Annelien, your vice-commander," she introduced herself. "Although," she added, "if you were in MLS with me and Commander McNeil you may also know my nickname of 'bab'."
"Commander McNeil," someone in the back raised her hand. She easily stood out along with her team by their seemingly historical based outfits, the girl raising her hand and asking herself seemingly wore a military uniform like one a certain World War 2 officer would usually wear. "Would you please explain more about today's practice, especially since with the weekend we won't be able to immediately pick up where we might leave off after today?"
Miho felt a lot of things about that question: surprised about how quickly a student asked a question at all, happy about her perceived eagerness to start with the practice; but above all else, irritated on the fact she was asked a question she was just about to answer anyway. "I was just about to start explaining that right now as a matter of fact," Miho answered. "Anyway, today we'll mainly go easy, today we will focus primarily on assigning roles to every team member and going over basic maintenance and specific data about each of them. Also, just in case some of you may have questions on this as well, you will be measured for your uniforms next week and the following week is when you will receive them in class." Miho turned to Annelien and handed her a folder, "now vice-commander Annelien will hand each team a paper on which each team member role will be shown and detailed, by the end of practice today, we both expect every team to return their paper, filled and with each team member assigned their own role."
As Annelien began to pass out the role assignment sheet to each team, they converged into various semi-circle huddles to discuss who would get what role. Almost immediately afterwards, all of the teams that were either entirely composed of or mostly composed of veterans had filled out their papers and handed them back. Once Miho knew that every team had been given a sheet and had either already filled it out or were still discussing among themselves, she addressed them again, "alright everyone if you'll follow me, we'll head into the garage where our tanks are stored at right now." Standing at attention with Annelien right beside her, "Corps, fall out."
As everyone did an about phase or at least their best interpretation of one, everyone began to walk over to the garage building.
