Volume 4 Chapter 22: Planet of the Robot's Part 2
Laughter, that cursed laughter was all he could hear in those final moments. He knew he was being mocked for all of his failures, he had been so focused on stopping one person that he didn't even think off the possibility of there being someone else would could swoop in to steal the show. After all, how many times had he fought someone only for it to turn out that it was either someone being forced to work for Wily, someone build by Wily or just Wily wearing a cheap disguise to fool everyone.
This however still leaves the question, how could he have let this happen? Was the entire experience of the last two weeks truly for nothing, did everything he do mean nothing and was it all just playing right into his hands. No, he thought to himself, that's impossible, they stopped Wily after all and prevented him from taking over Remnant. But then he was brought back to reality as he could once again hear the laughter of the machine that was currently trying to take over his body.
Though the current situation did leave him wondering, if he succeeded at taking over his body what would become of him. Would Rock simply cease to be, or would he be pushed deep within the programming of his body while that machine was parading it around like a puppet. Rock couldn't allow that to happen, he had to find a way to get out of this situation. But he didn't even know where here was anymore, everything went dark and that was it. He felt like was floating in an endless void.
But then it got weird, things started to shake around him, for seconds on end it sounded like there were peoople shouting at each other, as if they were shooting at one another, but it stopped and the sound of thunder striking the ground was heard, a bright light began to appear in front of him and suddenly he found himself in a grassy field in front of a tombstone, while the sounds of shouting and shooting began to fade into the background.
But this wasn't anything he had seen before, instead of this grave being near a cliff like he had seen when he visited Patch with his team, it was situated right underneath a tree. Fearing that it might be his own tombstone he could be looking at Rock decided to approach it carefully.
When he got to the grave however, he was able to let out a sigh of relief as he discovered it wasn't his own grave, but instead the grave of Summer Rose. "What am I doing here?" Rock wondered "Why would I be brought to such a place?" However, right there and then a figure began to appear from the grave, at first it was a bit vague as it was trying to form, but eventually it formed into someone who looked familiar to Rock, yet at the same time not so much. "Are you..."
"Summer Rose? Very good guess on your first try Rock, have a cookie." Replied Summer, wearing her usually white cloak along with an outfit Rock didn't recognise, at least not from any pictures that Ruby and Yang had shown. As Summer wore a sleeveless red and black dress with some white parts at the bottom, black arm sleeves that were separate from the dress and seemed to be armed with several ammo belts. Summer then spoke up again as she summoned a ghost cookie "Though I doubt you will be able to eat it."
Summer was about to float the cookie over, when Rock aimed his buster in her face "What are you doing Rock?" She asked, confused.
"You can't fool me Ra Moon, fool me once shame on me, try it a second time your not fooling anyone." Replied Rock as he kept aiming the buster at Summer.
"What are you talking about, I'm not Ra Moon, I'm Summer Rose. Why would you even think that?" Summer Asked.
"Because that's what he would do, you're not real, you're just some kind mechanical illusion created by Ra Moon to keep me trapped here, keep me content so I wouldn't try to leave. Because if he planned everything from the last two weeks, then I'm sure he planned something like this!" Rock exclaimed.
"And why is that you think?"
"To rub it in that he won, he already managed to get the better of me and everyone, and now everything is gone!" Rock yelled out as tears were beginning to fall down his face "I already failed, why do you have to rub it in further, you took everything and everyone I cared for and now they're gone. Remnant is gone, I failed. So why can't you just leave me to rot in here instead of sending someone to taunt to me! WHY!" As he then fell down to his knees in tears, but to his surprise he was met with the loving and tender embrace of Summer hugging him. "Huh?"
"Did you get it out of your system?" Summer asked, as Rock still looked at her confused "Still don't get it do you? Well then let me ask you this, if he would send someone to you to taunt you over your failure or even keep you trapped while he took over your body with someone he has now knowledge off, don't you think he would send someone else to do that. Like your father, your sister, one of your many siblings, my daughters or any of your other friends?"
"You're actually real?" Asked Rock, as he nearly choked on his own words.
Summer gave him a grin and replied "About as real as a ghost can be, now dry those tears of yours, robots should not be able to cry."
Rock did as he was asked, but then something hit him and he asked "So does that mean that I'm dead? Because you only ever appear to those that have died or about to die, so what gives?"
To which Summer grimaced as she replied "That's where it get's complicated, you're not dead, at least not yet, though I doubt that life and death works the same for a robot the way it works for a human. We are currently within the hive mind that Ra Moon created, the only reason he doesn't know it yet is because you instinctively without even realising it activated both gears as you were struggling to free yourself. You're currently moving so fast that time has slowed down to what I think is a picosecond, I could be wrong, but if I'm not it does mean that you have been given a gift, the gift of extra time."
"Time? So even..."
Summer nodded "Yes, even the time to find a way to stop his plans."
"But I still don't get it, how are you even here? I remember the only other times that you showed up was one someone nearly died, like with Ruby, or Pyrrha or Jaune."
Summer sighed at the memory of having to send her daughter back to the land of the living and relied "I'm not entirely sure about that, but I think because everyone is currently bordering on that fine line between life and death, that it's allowed me to abuse a little loophole and step in." As she flinched for a small bit before saying "I will say, I did have to speed myself up quite a bit to even be able to help you right now, but that's not important right now."
"Oh but I'm doing the same right now, so I'm definitely going to be feeling that tomorrow. I can already hear the lectures." Replied Rock as he grimaced.
"Maybe don't worry them so often then..." Summer suggested.
"I know." Replied Rock with a saddened look on his face.
"Hey, come on, we'll find a way out of here. It'll be ok." Said Summer.
"But how, you say that, but I don't see a way out of here. We're just stuck inside of an endless grassy field." Replied Rock, as he pointed towards the horizon with it being nothing but grass.
"That's because I haven't been entirely honest with you, I... look..." Said Summer as she lifted her hand and revealed a portal to a dark area "...we're not entirely within his hive mind yet, currently we are in purgatory right now and that portal leads directly into it... but the reason that I brought you here is because I needed to make sure that you were in the right mind set to keep going."
"Right mind set? Why would I need to be in the right mind set?" Asked Rock, making Summer give him an unimpressed stare.
"Really, do I even need to give you an answer to that?"
"Oh..."
"Yeah, oh, I needed to make sure that you could still keep going, which is why I'm going with you to help you escape." Replied Summer "The question is, do you feel ready?"
"I dunno, wouldn't you know that, after all you made the call to bring me here." Said Rock.
"I did, but it needs to be your call, so tell me Rock can you do it. Even with your failures earlier, can you step up and fight back?"
"Maybe I can't alone, but if you're going to stay with me to help, then I might just be able to do this." Replied Rock.
Summer smirked as she replied "That's what I like to hear, then let's go." To which Rock nodded, as the duo stepped through the darkened portal and found themselves in some sort of nightmarish version of the ruins that Ra Moon had been fought in. Where reality seemed to be distorted and there was no sun light to be found anywhere.
"I feel uneasy..." Said Rock as he then noticed another portal "...and what's that?"
"That would be the portal to get out of here..." Replied Summer, as Rock's eyes widened and he tried to run through it, only for him to get knocked backwards and land at Summer's feet "...if you hadn't rushed towards it like that, I would have told you that you can't got through it, it's currently blocked by some sort of barrier that was put in place."
"Then how do I get out?" Asked Rock.
Summer sighed and replied "Look around the room where we currently are, and I want you to look for what is missing and what is different from the room." Rock then started to take a look around the room to see if he could figure out what Summer meant.
"I don't get..." Rock was about to say, when he finally noticed what was different. As he noticed that while his teammates, Guts Man and Pyrrha were in the room, looking completely metallic and frozen in time. But then he noticed who was missing, as Roll, Proto Man, Bass, Quint, Sunstar, Duo, Ballade, King, Penny and Doctor Wily were nowhere to be found. "They're not here, but where could they have gone?" he wondered, as the room they were in started to shake until a glitchy looking Duo came crashing through the ceiling, forcing Rock and Summer to aim their weapons at him.
Duo, seeming to glitch in and out of existence before finally solidifying, spotted the duo and held him hands up while exclaiming "Woah, woah Rock, Ruby take it easy, whatever you two think is going on with me right now, it is not, I'm real."
"Prove it." Said Rock.
"Ok, do you remember the first time we met and I saved you from the evil energy, I was going through your memories and I found that embarrassing memory of you getting stuck in the walls of the lab when you were trying out teleporting for the first time?" Asked Duo, as Summer held back laughter while Rock groaned inwardly.
"Alright, you're real." Replied Rock with a hint of annoyance in his voice.
"Where were you before this? Because I didn't see you anywhere when I brought Rock to purgatory." Summer wondered.
"Oh, well you see Ruby..."
"...Summer, it's Summer, I'm Ruby's mother."
"Ah, apologies, the two of you do look a lot alike, I was almost going to ask why Ruby suddenly looks a lot older..." Said Duo, as Summer screamed internally while Duo kept explaining "...regardless of that, see the way I was build by my creator Ozark the Great was to be able to counter evil, but then a bunch of robots containing evil energy were send into space and I was send after them to purge them of evil energy. When I arrived here I found myself in a corrupted version of the continent of Isolatus..."
"Don't you mean Solitas?" Rock wondered.
"Oh that's what they're calling it now... point is, when I got here I was able to purge the liquid from my own body and bring myself back under my own control. I tried to find a way to leave, but then I felt something else enter this realm. So I tracked down the source, found you two and what seems to be a portal."
"Yeah don't bother trying to get out through the portal, it's blocked off, we don't know where the people that are missing are at and we have no idea how to get out through the portal." Said Rock.
"Yes that is troubling..." Said Duo, as he began to ponder something "Although..."
"What, what is it?" Summer asked.
"I might be wrong about this, but as I was flying here, I saw several pillars emitting a bright red light coming from several places across Remnant. I'm thinking, if we check them out we could find a way to get out of here." Replied Duo.
"How many did you see?" Rock asked.
"Six... or more, I think, I was going really fast." Said Duo.
"And how do you know we should be going after those red light?" Asked Rock.
"I'm not entirely sure, but there was this voice in the back of my mind telling me to go there." Replied Duo.
"Well, it is the only chance we have, so maybe we should try going to it." Said Summer, to which Rock nodded.
"Very well then, grab onto me." Said Duo, as Summer and Rock did just that, with them holding onto his arms as he quickly took off and made another hole in the ceiling as they flew out of the ruins and into wide world. Where Rock got a good look at the sky and noticed it glitching all over the place.
"Did you try leaving this version of the planet?" Asked Rock.
"I tried, something blocked me from leaving." Replied Duo, as he stopped flying as the group found themselves at one of the red pillars which seemed to be coming from a forest in Mistral. Duo landed himself on the ground, but then Rock looked back, as something seemed off about the place they were in, as the desert of Vacuo was now next to the forest of Mistral.
"Something's not right here." Said Rock.
"How so?" Asked Summer.
"The desert is next to the forest, there is something screwy about this place, keep up your guard." Said Rock, as the trio then walked over to the red pillar of energy, but as they were doing so Rock heard several trees falling over and right as the group reached the pillar a figure landed in front of them, blocking the path to the pillar. Rock looked at the figure and saw that it looked like Cut Man, except in the place of his face was a giant eye that was reminiscent of the eye of Ra Moon, with the rest of his body being covered in the symbols that were found in the ruins.
"What the..." Summer wondered, only for Ra Cut Man to throw several large blades at her, which made her get stuck to the nearby trees, as Rock and Duo quickly got into fighting stances while Summer started to wiggle herself free.
Corrupted Cutter - Ra Cut Man
Ra Cut Man threw several of it's blades at Rock and Duo, forcing them to jump out of the way, as he made his way over to two trees and cut them down. After which he grabbed them and rushed over to Rock to try and slam the trees onto his head. Forcing Rock to keep dodging out of the way, as he managed to keep avoiding the trees being attempted to slammed down on him. As he quickly switched over to the metal blades and used them to slice the trees to pieces.
Rock then tried to fire them at his opponent, only for the metal blades to get blocked by the cutters that Ra Cut Man threw at him, after which he lunged himself at Rock to try and cut him in half using the blades on his head as they seemed to have gotten bigger, with Rock attempting to shoot him down, but despite the shots landing he kept getting closer to him. Thankfully Duo was able to punch Ra Cut Man away before he was able to do so, and launched the robot into the trees, as the two of them quickly freed Summer from her trap.
However, a few seconds later, the ground began to shake as Ra Cut Man came rushing out of the trees, seeming to have transformed into a giant plough machine, with blades on nearly every part of his body, with a giant storage tank on it's back and several mechanical arms that had already started to pull trees out of the ground as it was making it's way forward, and was getting ready to charge itself in an attempt to run over the trio.
And as the robot tried to run the group over, they quickly jumped out of his path to avoid the attack, with Rock attempting to repeatedly shoot the head that was sticking out of the machine, only for the machine to shoot out a barrage of wooden spikes that were made out of the trees that were pulled out of the ground. Rock made sure to quickly jump out of the way, while still attempting to shoot the machine. While Duo was able to catch a good majority of the wooden missiles and throw them back at the machine, which started to make the storage tank crack.
Summer in the meantime managed to rush through the barrage of wooden stakes being fired at her being using her semblance to form into a cloud of rose petals to avoid the attacks, and managed to get closer to the machine, where she then reformed herself and then she used her axe to rapidly attack the mechanical arms, with her being able to slice the arms to pieces, until a few seconds later there were no more mechanical arms left, and the machine became unable to grab more trees to use as a weapon against the trio.
Duo then started charging up his attack as he started to fly into the air and then crashed downwards into the ground, as he started to repeatedly strike down onto the giant machine, and as he was doing that Rock continued to fire the metal blades at the machine, with the combination of attacks managing to take away more pieces of the machine with each attack. Until finally Summer joined in and delivered one final slice to the machine along with Duo and Rock, and caused the entire machine to explode into pieces.
As Ra Cut Man then fell to the ground, where he was met with the Duo, Summer and Rock all aiming their weapons at him, as he tried to get up again, only for Summer to use her axe to slice the robot in half, as it exploded with his remains turning into corrupted digital code that fizzled out into nothingness afterwards. With the group then looking over at the pillar of red energy, Duo placed his hand on the pillar, used his ability to take out the corrupted energy and made it disappear.
With both Roll and Proto Man, both unconscious, appearing in place of where the pillar once was. Proto then woke up first he mumbled "Ugh.. what the..." as he started looking around himself as he spotted Rock and said "That can't be right, the last thing I remember is being taken over by that liquid metal. How did I get here?"
"I know, blues, but we're currently inside some kind of digital recreation of Remnant." Replied Rock.
"Oh..." said Roll as she woke up and then got up as well "...glad to see that you were able to find Ruby then."
"That's not Ruby, Roll, she looks a lot older, maybe a family member..."
"...mother actually..."
"...ah see, too old to be Ruby." Said Proto as he turned to his younger brother and asked "So what's going on?"
"We're not quite sure, but we just fought a Ra Moon version of Cut Man and Duo took down that pillar, causing you two to appear." Replied Rock.
"So I'm guessing we should look for more?"
"You would be right about that, and seeing as he was parading around with Cut Man's body, I have no doubt the other five are here as well." Said Rock with a look of guilt on his face, as Proto grimaced at the look, something which Roll also noticed.
"Rock... don't feel too bad about this, none of this is your fault." Said Roll.
"Kind of hard when it turns out that everything that we did over the last two weeks all just played right into the hands of Ra Moon. We pretty much helped him in spreading that liquid, all of Remnant is about to fall and we're stuck inside of this world with no way of getting out. So tell me Roll, how am I not supposed to feel bad about this when I pretty much doomed all of Remnant and everyone else we cared about! So tell me Roll, how will saying 'don't feel bad about this' make things better!" Rock yelled out in frustration, as Proto Man quickly got in between them.
"Oi, you will not speak to your sister that way Rock, I get that you're upset about this, so are we. But yelling at Roll won't bring anyone back!" Exclaimed Proto Man, as Rock sighed for a bit to calm himself down.
"I'm... sorry, I... I don't know what came over me in that moment." Replied Rock, as Summer then spoke up.
"I completely understand Rock, I've seen more than enough moments where people's emotions will flare up due to stress, but letting that happen now will only bring misery for everyone else."
"You're right." Replied Rock, turning to Roll and asking "Can you forgive me and accept my apology?"
"Hey, I'm not mad at you, you big goof. But try not being so mad at yourself." Replied Roll.
"I'll... I'll see what I can do..." Replied Rock, as he turned to Duo and asked "Are you able to take more people with you?"
"Sure, I mean I was built for space travel, I'm sure I can handle a few extra passengers. So grab on." Replied Duo, as the other four grabbed onto him as he quickly took off and flew towards the pillar of red light that was closest to them. So a few seconds later the group found themselves at the next pillar, which to their surprise was located in the icy tundra of Solitas.
"Ok, so something is definitely not right here." Said Proto Man while Duo landed in the snow.
"You noticed it too, huh?" Asked Rock.
"Yeah, something is definitely wrong in that regard, but we shouldn't let it get to us." Said Proto Man, as the ground started to shake and from underneath the ground emerged a corrupted version of Ice Man, as everyone got into fighting positions.
An Endless Winter - Ra Ice Man
But they quickly noticed that the ground around them began to crack, revealing that they had found themselves on an ice platform covering icy waters, as Ra Ice Man lifted his hand up and caused a massive iceberg to come crashing through the ice, knocking the group of the ice platform they were standing on and forced them to quickly spread out as he kept destroying more platforms until a massive icy mountain range formed, with Ra Ice Man standing on top of the mountain, as both Rock and Roll fell into the water down below while the rest of the group kept fighting.
As Ra Ice Man would start by quickly forming massive icicles in the air, and began to shoot them down at the group, with Proto Man using his shield to block the attack before returning fire, only for his bullets to get frozen in the air. With Summer using her axe to slice through the icicle, but found herself quickly frozen in place as Ra Ice Man began to freeze the air around her, making her unable to move anymore.
Duo tried to get her out of her frozen state, but unfortunately for him he started to become frozen in place as well, with his jet engines getting clogged up by the ice in the air, as he felt himself getting more and more sluggish with each passing second, until he fully got frozen in place. Proto Man tried to use the opportunity to strike, as he rushed to the top of the mountain, and delivered several strikes to the robot with his shield in an attempt to strike down the robot, while also using the openings created by the strikes to shoot the robot in the face.
But even with the strikes and shots taken at the robot, Proto found that the robot was smirking at him, but even before he could wonder why and try to respond to the robot smirking at him, he got hit by a massive blast of ice and found himself frozen in place on top of the mountain. Ra Ice Man, having the other three frozen in place, then began to look around his ice mountain to see where Rock and Roll would resurface back up to try and fight him.
Though right as he turned to look into the water of the north side of the mountain, both Rock and Roll jumped out of the water and before Ra Ice Man could even react to the two of them jumping out of the water, Rock managed to shoot out several metal blades while Roll hit him with several crystal eyes, managing to stun the robot enough for Roll to use her staff to hit the robot repeatedly until Roll delivered a powerful strike at the robot and threw him into the water.
Roll quickly switched to the atomic fire, and began to emit heat in an attempt to defrost Duo, Proto Man and Summer, but before she could do any of that properly, a massive ice pillar rose from the water with Ra Ice Mann stood in front of the sibling duo, as Rock quickly got in front of Roll and aimed his buster at the robot on top of the ice pillar, with both of them started to charge up their attacks. However, Roll saw what was going to happen and made a quick decision and started to charge up the atomic fire to it's fullest power.
But as Rock and Ra Ice Man were about to unleash their power blasts of ice and charged up energy at one another, Roll jumped in between the two of them and fired a massive shot of atomic fire at Ra Ice Man right as he fired his beam of ice at Rock, only for the atomic fire to quickly eat through the ice beam and make his way over to Ra Ice Man as the robot started to panic until it was fully engulfed by the fire, until he was fully melted down and there was nothing left of the robot.
Which also led to the iceberg starting to completely melt, as Rock and Roll quickly grabbed onto the rest and jumped towards a loosely floating sheet of ice, where they landed while Roll used the atomic fire to free the other three from their icy imprisonment, while Rock started to paddle the ice sheet they were on towards the pillar, until a few seconds later he was joined by Duo who made the whole process a whole lot quicker.
When they reached the pillar, Duo quickly grabbed onto the pillar and used his ability to take out the corruption, which dropped Quint onto the ground, as he quickly woke up and asked "Where are we? And why does Ruby look so old?" As Summer tried to keep herself from shouting that she wasn't that old, but managed to keep the outburst in, as instead she felt as if time had sped up a bit, instead of being a picosecond it now sped up to a nanosecond.
"Long story short, we failed to stop Ra Moon, got covered in liquid metal, we're stuck in a digital version of Remnant, are being helped by Summer Rose and are trying to find a way to get out of here." Replied Proto Man.
"Oh... oh no..." replied Quint, as he dropped to his knees, while Summer placed a comforting hand on his shoulder.
"What wrong?" She asked.
"I remember helping Wily and the other killers bring over his robots to Ra Moon to have him create an army for Wily... what have I done... I've doomed all of Remnant..." Said Quint as he grabbed onto his head at the realisation, as Rock tried to snap him out of it.
"Hey, I also messed up, we both doomed Remnant, but we are still here to save Remnant. To save everyone... so get up and join me to fix everything."
"Besides, don't you remember this happening?" Asked Roll.
"Did... did you not pay attention when I joined you guys?" Asked Quint
"Huh?"
"Roll, didn't I tell you about him being from a future where Wily gave up?" Asked Rock.
"Oooooooooooh, him... in my defence there's been a lot of robot masters and other robots you've faced, so I kind of forgot." Replied Roll.
"Regardless... I never went through any of this... after the whole roboenza virus debacle Wily just gave up and vanished. It's also... why I didn't know who any of your new friends are." Added Quint.
"Oh, that's disappointing, I was hoping you could tell us how it got solved." Said Roll.
"Roll, don't be lazy." Proto Man teased, as Roll grumbled in annoyance, which he choose to ignore as he noticed Rock clutching his head with a pained expression on his face "Rock, you alright?"
"Yeah... I think... I dunno really... I must be seeing things or something, but I could have sworn I saw a copy of me fade in and out of existence for just a bit, but it's gone now, I must just be going crazy." Replied Rock.
"Hmmm..." Replied Proto Man, as he thought for a bit "...It could mean nothing, but try and keep an eye on it."
"I will."
"Then it shouldn't be too much of an issue." Replied Proto Man, with a hint of uncertainty in his voice.
"Are you good to keep going though?" Asked Duo.
"Absolutely, there's nothing stopping me from continuing." Replied Rock, as he and the rest of the group, save for Quint who looked confused for a bit, grabbed onto Duo. Quint still looking confused at the sight in front of him, did nothing, so he was quickly grabbed by Duo as he took off and the group kept holding onto him while he was flying through the air.
And as he was flying towards the next destination, Summer took the opportunity to move towards Proto Man and whispered "Hey Proto Man, I noticed you weren't entirely convinced when you talked to Rock."
"It's not that I don't believe him, but it's more that I'm currently on high alert considering we're stuck inside of this place and Rock starting to see things is not a good sign." Replied Proto Man. "Why do you ask?"
"I'm not entirely sure, but it feels as if something changed."
"Changed in what way?"
"When that second pillar dropped, it felt as if time sped up slightly but I thought I was going crazy, but then Rock mentioned seeing the other version of himself and I'm really starting to get concerned that something isn't right." Replied Summer.
"We should probably then keep an eye on things." Said Proto Man, to which Summer nodded, but then their conversation was interrupted when Duo stopped and spoke up.
"Uh guys, anyone seeing this?" Duo asked, as the group saw two of the pillars located in this realm's version of Vale, as Dup quickly landed on the ground.
"How curious, so that's what they look like." Said Quint.
"We've never had this before, the previous two weren't in the same area." Said Rock, as he noticed just how close the two of them were to each other "Or that close to each other..." As he then heard an explosion go of nearby and yelled out "Get down!" As the group quickly ducked out of the way, as a lightning bolt got fired in their direction and crashed onto the ground, revealing Ra Moon versions of Bomb Man and Elec Man.
"Ok something is definitely trying to stop us from trying to get out of this place." Proto Man thought to himself, as he received a knowing nod from Summer, while the rest of the group got into fighting stances.

Ra Bomb Man looked at the group and immediately summoned several large bombs in his hands and threw them at the group, surrounding the group in a circle of bombs, where Quint immediately pulled out his sakugarne and used it as a golf club to smack the bombs away, throwing them into both of the opposing robots as the explosions created a massive cloud of smoke.
Giving the group the immediate opportunity to rush towards the two robots, only for Ra Elec Man to fire several shots of electricity from behind the smoke curtain and forcing the group to quickly dodge out of the way, as Ra Bomb Man fused his bombs with nearby electricity expelled by Ra Elec Man, which caused the bombs to become electrically charged as they were thrown across the battlefield. But since they didn't go off yet, the robots in the group began to attack the duo of robots.
With Rock using the metal blades to cut right through several thunder beams that Ra Elec Man fired off, which created an opening for Duo to rush in with a charged up punch as he punched the robot into the air, where he was met with both Roll and Proto Man who used their staff and buster respectively to slam the robot into the ground, while in the meantime Quint used the sakugarne to jump on top of a new bomb that was Ra Bomb Man was summoning above his head, which caused the robot to drop the bomb onto himself, leading to him getting caught in another explosion.
But while the rest of the group were fighting against the two robots Summer, having gotten an idea what was going on with the bombs as she felt an electro magnetic pulse coming off the bombs and knowing what would happen if the bombs were to explode next to her robotic allies, immediately rushed to all of the bombs that were placed on the ground and picked each of them up. And as she got the last one she looked at the rest of the group one last time and decided to run away from the group, only for the bombs to explode, catching her in a massive blast.
Having seen the explosion, the group turned their attention towards Summer who was now laying on the ground in a daze state, as Rock exclaimed "Summer, NO!" but was unable to rush towards her to help her out, as the split-second their focus was taken away Ra Elec Man started to hover in the air and began to shoot down blasts of electricity. Making it neigh impossible for anyone to properly reach Summer, as the robot wasn't allowing anyone to get a moment of piece in as he kept blasting at the heroes.
Roll, having the most trouble out of anyone in dodging the attacks from above due to her lack of experience, tried to use her staff to block the electricity from hitting her and to her surprise she was able to do so, as she found that her staff was able to absorb the electric attacks being send her way. Thinking to herself "Ruby, you're amazing, I can't begin to think you enough when this is over." As she kept absorbing more electricity into it until a signal was heard that indicated that the staff was at full capacity.
So, while everyone else was still dodging the blasts, she took aim at Ra Elec Man while thinking "Forgive me for this big brother, you're not yourself right now, but if the roles were reversed you would do the same." as she pressed a button and made the staff shoot a beam of plasma straight through the torso of Ra Elec Man, making the robot fall out of the air and explode upon hitting the ground.
This only left Ra Bomb Man behind, as the group quickly gave a nod of appreciation towards Roll who waved sheepishly back at them. So Rock, in an attempt to finish this quickly, fired a barrage of metal blades at Ra Bomb Man. While the robot kept trying to throw more bombs at the group, they were made quick work off as the metal blades cut straight through them, taking them out and then making their way to the robot as he was cut to pieces by the blades until nothing remained but tiny pieces and those tiny pieces exploded leaving nothing behind.
Proto Man and Rock then both looked over to Summer who had gotten out of her dazed state, as they both went over to her to help her get back on her feet. "You alright?" Asked Proto Man while providing support for Summer.
"Yeah, I'm doing better, good job taking those two out." Replied Summer.
"Well it wasn't just us, you saved us out of a tough spot as well." Said Rock.
"I couldn't just let you guys be taken out by those bombs." Said Summer, as the trio watched as the two pillars appeared right in front of Duo as he hesitantly grabbed onto both of the pillars and took the corruption out of them, as Summer felt like time had sped up to microseconds while noticing Rock clutch his head again but chose not to speak up, as both pillars vanished as Doctor Wily, Penny, Bass and Sunstar dropped onto the floor. All four of them waking up quickly and looking around to get a good look at where they were currently at, and spotted the other people present, though they weren't too happy at seeing Doctor Wily.
"Wily." Everyone, save for Bass who looked more annoyed than anything, growled at the doctor.
"Good to see you all as well." He replied.
"Tch, I didn't need any of you to save me, I could have gotten out myself." Said Bass.
"Sure you did, edgelord." Said Roll, while Bass scoffed.
"So, where are we? And why does Ruby look so incredibly old? are we in the future? Did Ra Moon succeed and are we rising up against him?" Asked Wily, only to get punched in the gut by Summer "OW! What was that for!"
"That was for calling me old!" Shouted Summer as she punched him again "That was for beating up my daughters and family..." another punch "...That was for awakening Ra Moon..." another punch this time in the nose "And that was for all the grief you put Thomas through you bastard! And there's a lot more where that came from!"
"Message received." Replied Wily as he pressed his nose to prevent a nose bleed, while Summer continued to glare at the man while Penny slowly approached her.
"Uhm... excuse me, if you're not Ruby, are you Summer Rose?" Penny asked, to which Summer nodded as to her surprise Penny gave a her a hug "I've heard so much about you, and I always wanted to meet you, but I thought I would never get the chance to meet you."
Summer returned the hug and replied with a saddened look in her eyes "Believe me, I never thought I would be able to meet anyone my daughter's made friends with either."
"Do you regret leaving? Both Ruby and Yang told me that miss you a lot." Replied Penny.
"Looking at the end result, maybe a bit. But looking back at what I had to do and ensuring they would be safe, I don't regret it for a second." Said Summer, as she eyed Wily. "Although, given what has happened recently I do wish I could have been there to help. That and a bunch of other things" she added with the last part being thought.
"Well, maybe they should have stayed out of my way." Replied Wily.
"Oh, well, my daughters aren't likely to back away from doing the right thing. And a quick reminder, I can still kick your ass." Said Summer "Besides, it's not like your own creation is being of much help right now."
"What's up with that anyways Bass, normally you would jump in to defend me." Said Wily.
"Not this time." Scoffed Bass as he grabbed his creator by his collar and shouted at him "I told you this whole thing was a bad idea, but do you ever listen to your own creations! No, you don't! You didn't listen when I told you not to mess with the evil energy, you didn't listen when I warned you about creating King since it would be too much to handle for you and you didn't listen when I warned you about the roboenza virus. Tch, I bet project Null is somehow going to come back to haunt you in the future." As he dropped Wily to the ground.
"Are you kids done?" Wily asked sarcastically, referring to both Summer and Bass.
"Did you even hear what was said?" Replied Summer.
"Oh I'm well aware of that, but what you seem to forget is the fact that just like all of you I'm here trying to stop this situation. But while all of you were so focused on what I did, none of you bothered to check how Mega Man is doing." Replied Wily, as he pointed towards Rock still clutching his head. "Mega Man, you don't seem to be ok, can you tell us what's going on?"
"I... I don't know..."
"Maybe it's the fact that time is beginning to speed up here and the stress you're putting on your body is finally beginning to catch up with you." Said Summer.
"What do you mean time is speeding up?" Asked Sunstar, having been caught up on everything by Roll.
"I felt it, after the first two pillars time sped up in here and right now it did so again."
"Hmmm, that's concerning." Replied Sunstar.
"Tell me Mega Man, do you think you can continue in this state?" Asked Wily.
"Yeah, I... I'm sure about that... it's just a headache..." Replied Rock.
"Good, then let's go to the next pillar." Said Duo, having everyone present grab onto him as he then took off towards the next location.
And as they were flying Rock turned to Bass and asked "You know Bass, there's still something I don't quite understand, why did you come to help us, especially after our last fight in the Wily Star?"
"I've said it before and I'll say it again, the only one who gets to beat you in combat is me." Said Bass.
"Are you sure it's not just because you've grown to like him?" Asked Roll.
"Course not, don't be stupid." Replied Bass, trying to hide a look of embarrassment on his face, as Duo then landed next to another pillar this one seemingly being located on Menagerie.
"Oh goodie, the most controversial place on Remnant." Said Wily, causing everyone to give him some odd looks. "Listen, just because I want to take over the world and subjugate it under my own rule doesn't mean I agree with the people in Atlas, I have some standards."
"Oh sure, you'll kidnap, maim, cause an epidemic amongst robots, awaken an ancient super computer and so much more, but you draw the line at racism, good to know that there's some decency in you left Wily." Summer spat, while Wily rolled his eyes, but then a scent caught his nose.
"Anyone smell that? It smells like smoke."
"I think that might be because someone set fire to the island." Replied Roll.
"How can you be sure?" Asked Sunstar.
"Oh, just a hunch." Said Roll, as she pointed towards a wall of fire that was approaching them as it started to envelop the rest of the island.
"You know, I'm glad that this is just a recreation of Remnant and that there are no people in sight, cause this could be bad." Said Duo.
"Gee, ya think?" Asked Sunstar, as he fired a laser beam from his buster only to find that the wall of fire created an opening that dodged the beam "Fire should not be sentient." He said, as right at that moment the fire surrounded the group as a Ra Moon version of Fire Man jumped out of it and landed in front of the group while the fire continued to rage on.
A Living Inferno - Ra Fire Man
Rock, having an idea what would happen if he allowed Ra Fire Man to have the first attack, switched to the metal blade and immediately starting unloading all of them into the robot. Only for him to raise his hand, causing a stream of fire to burst out of the surrounding fire pillar, which melted the metal blades upon contact, and leaving Rock shocked at the sight. As Ra Fire Man then rushed over towards Rock and delivered a flaming punch into his gut, causing him to fall onto his back.
Making the rest of the group quickly jumped in to prevent Rock from getting hurt any further, as Ra Fire Man created swirling fire tornadoes around him that he send after the rest of the group, making everyone jump out of the way, while Wily quickly ducked to avoid the fire, only to notice that his moustache caught on fire as he quickly started to pat out the flames in an attempt to prevent it from burning off.
Duo tried to fly up to see if he could escape from the inferno around them, only to find that at the top of the pillar was more fire that was blocking out the path for them, as a flaming tentacle reached out from the fire and slammed him down onto the ground. Where he was quickly caught by Proto Man who quickly placed him down, as Sunstar rushed towards Ra Fire Man while keeping his energy shield up. Where he then reached the robot and shot him point blank with a laser from his buster.
Only to find that Ra Fire Man simply walked through the path of the laser, gave a smirk to Sunstar who for the first time in his life experienced true fear and knocked him backwards into the wall of flames. Penny having seen this, quickly coated herself in a layer of ice with the ice slasher, and quickly flew into the fire to get him out as fast as possible. In the meantime Quint, Roll, Proto Man and Bass had quickly managed to corner Ra Fire Man after the the last action he took by rushing the robot into a corner.
Roll quickly fired a barrage of photon missiles into the robot, while Bass and Proto Man fired rapid shots into the robot all of which hit the robot and caused it to get stunned for a while, after which Quint used the sakugarne to jump straight into Ra Fire Man, only to be met with a massive fire blast coming from the torch on top of his head. As the robot then grabbed the pogo stick, and grabbed Quint by the leg, as he slammed the robot into the other three repeatedly until they were fully knocked to the ground.
Summer then rushed after the robot, and tried to strike him down with her axe, only for it to get blocked by Quint's pogo stick, as Ra Fire Man held his hand up and had it act as a flame thrower to hit Summer. Who quickly activated her semblance, as she turned into a cloud of rose petal to allow the fire to go through her and to avoid the attack. Only for her to realise too late that in doing so she made herself extra vulnerable to fire, as the fire started to burn her and she fell to the ground, as she started to feel burned up.
Ra Fire Man was then hit by several charged shots coming from Rock who had gotten up again, and tried to evade the fire blasts that were being send his way by activating the speed gear, as he managed to dodge them. Only for him to become shortsighted with all the hits he had managed to get in, as he accidentally ran into the robot as was swiftly knocked to the ground with a fiery punch by the robot. He tried to finish Rock off with another attack, only for him to get hit by lasers being fired by Wily's laser pistol.
The fiery robot started to approach the doctor, only for him to get blindsided by Penny who flew back out of the fire with Sunstar on her back, as Penny threw a ring of blades towards him, after which he was distracted enough to get hit by another laser blast from Sunstar. The impact of which caused Ra Fire Man to get caught himself on fire, as he started to control the fire around them, and send a wave of fire through the arena, causing everyone save for Dup to get hit, as Duo quickly flew into the air to avoid the wave of fire.
This didn't go unnoticed by Ra Fire Man, as he quickly started to make the walls of the inferno come closer to burn everyone in it to ashes. Duo had to think quickly to ensure that it wouldn't happen, when an idea hit him as he thought to himself "Let my allies, even if they are unable to stand, still help me, grant me their power." as he started to absorb the power from those around him and began to glow, until finally he finished charging and unleashed a powerful beam of energy downwards onto Ra Fire Man.
And even when trying to avoid the attack, it was all for nothing, as Ra Fire Man was quickly hit by the beam of energy and burned to ashes, as Duo quickly dispelled all the energy he had build up, which made the inferno that had them trapped dissipate, as Duo quickly noticed that the island hadn't gotten damaged in the fight whatsoever. "Odd." He thought, as another red pillar appeared in front of him, where he grabbed it, took out the corruption causing it to vanish as Ballade appeared in front of the group.
"Duo..." Rock called out to him, having gotten back up and not looking any worse for wear despite another pillar having vanished, which Duo found to be incredibly odd. "...That was amazing, how did you do all that?"
"It's an ability I have, it's called the final blast, with it I can draw on the energy of my allies to create one final attack to take down my opponent, but it's only something that I can use as a last resort." Replied Duo, while eying at Rock with a suspicious look on his face.
"That's pretty cool." Replied Rock, as he quickly shot Duo in the chest and then rushed over to shoot Duo in the jet trusters on his back, causing the robot to fall over.
"Rock... what are you doing?" Asked Summer, only to immediately notice that something was off about him as the same symbols that were on the other robots they had fought started to appear on Rock. "You're not him, are you?" she asked as the being in front of them started to laugh with a dark tone in his voice before speaking up.
"Mega Man is on sabbatical miss Rose."
"Ra Moon, but how?" Asked Proto Man.
"You guys don't remember, do you?" Asked Ra Rock
"What is there to... remember?" Asked Wily, as his memories started to come flooding back in full force.
"You guys don't remember, do you, well I'll be more than happy to explain." Replied Ra Rock, as he created an electrical barrier around the rest of the group to prevent the group from getting to him. "A few seconds ago within the normal world, all of you got taken over by my liquid metal. But as I was taunting Mega Man you all found a way to try and stop me from taking over his body, by clinging onto Duo you used those extra seconds I had given you to go into Mega Man's subconsciousness and create a failsafe to keep me out. After all, this isn't my mind scape, it's his."
"So that was your plan, you give Mega Man enough time to recuperate so when the time was right he could fight me, but I wasn't about to let that happen, so while you guys formed those pillars to create a forcefield to keep me out, I messed with all of your memories, making sure that none of you knew why those pillars were there. Unfortunately, you Summer had to pull him into purgatory as he was being brought into this realm, and I couldn't reach him anymore."
"So I had to find another way to take over, but thankfully Duo, you gave me that option. Thanks to Summer and Mega Man going back to his mind, all I had to do was free Duo from the pillar he shared with King and whisper in Duo's ear that taking down the pillars would solve everything. And then I allowed everything to play out, I let all of you take out the pillars, and with each pillar gone it got me one step closer to taking control of his body."
"And ever since the second pillar dropped I watched all of you from behind his disgustingly hopeful eyes, and none of you noticed what was going on until it was too late. Much more focused on blaming Doctor Wily than checking to see if he was actually doing ok. And now, time is flowing normally again, his body is mine, all I need to do is just take you all out and I've won."
"Yeah... except for one thing... there's still one last pillar left and like you said... you need all of them gone." Replied Doctor Wily.
"Exactly, we can just not destroy the last one and take you out right now." Added Proto Man.
"Really didn't think about that, huh?" Said Bass.
Ra Mega Man started tapping his finger on his face as to think as he replied "You have a point there, oh no, what a shame I didn't think about that." As an evil glint entered his eyes "Oh wait, I did." as he snapped his fingers, causing Duo to enter into a trance as the symbols appeared on his body as well "You all really thought that I wouldn't have another contingency in place in case everything would go south."
"Duo no!" Proto Man screamed out.
"Now Duo, be a pal and go to the last pillar, you know where it is, where everything started." Said Ra Mega Man ignoring the screams of the others.
"YeS mAsTeR." Replied the now corrupted Duo as he put the thrusters on his back in the right place and flew off.
"Well then, what to do with you guys, I could finish you off, but I would much rather be witness to Duo taking down the last pillar and giving me full control of everything. So you know what..." Said Ra Mega Man as he snapped his fingers and made the electric barriers vanish "...Let's make it a challenge, see if you can beat me to the location of the final pillar, ciao." he said, as he then teleported away from the group.
Summer tried to run off, but was quickly stopped by Proto Man grabbing her arm "What are you doing, we have to go after him."
"Don't you think I know that, he took control of my brother and I want to take him down just as much as you want to for the fact that he took control of your kids, but running after him without knowing where he is going won't help us." Replied Proto Man.
"But I do know where he is."
"What?"
"He said where everything started, now we can't take it literally that could mean literally anything. But if we take where everything started as the place from where this whole crisis started and from where Rock, Duo and I started looking for the pillars, then..."
"It means that the final pillar is within the ruins." Said Wily.
"Exactly, but how we get there is the question." Said Summer.
"Can't we just teleport there?" Asked Roll.
"Are you up for it?" Asked Proto Man.
"You kidding me, of course I am. Dad made me with the exact same schematics as you and Rock, I should be able to do this." Replied Roll.
"Very well then, just wanted to make sure you wouldn't strain yourself." Said Proto Man.
"Don't worry, I won't."
"Ok, everyone huddle up around either me or Roll."
The group quickly did so, and as they were getting ready Roll turned to Ballade and asked "You doing ok? Is none of this overwhelming you?"
"I'm fine, I got an inkling of an idea of what is going on when he started speaking and then my memories returned. So I should be good, and I'm ready to give him some payback." Replied Ballade, to which Roll nodded as the group turned into a beam of energy and teleported away. A few seconds later the group reappeared in the ruins, where upon landing they saw that Ra Duo was already fighting against Ra Guts Man, though it seemed to be a different one from the the normal Guts Man that was frozen in time.
With Ra Duo continuously trying to finish off the robot by using his charged up punches, only for Ra Guts Man to keep dodging out of the way, as he then pulled a large block of dirt out of the ground and threw it at Ra Duo, knocking the corrupted robot into the walls. The group then tried to jump in to help out Ra Guts Man, only for Duo to quickly rush in and overcharge himself, as he threw himself at Ra Guts Man and punched straight through the robot, making it explode, as Ra Duo quickly turned to face the red pillar.
The group tried to jump in to stop Ra Duo from making his way over to the pillar, only for the ground in front of them to get struck by red lightning, as Ra Mega Man appeared in front of them and said "Impressive, you made it, but you're too late." As Ra Duo touched the last red pillar, made it vanish and caused King to appear on the ground, as the world started to shake around them. "Yes, yes, YES! This body is now mine, I. HAVE. WON!" He exclaimed as Rock's body began to transform as it turned dark and his face got replaced by the sole eye that Ra Moon possessed.
He looked over to Ra Duo and took out the possession as Duo fell over onto the ground, as he said "I don't even need you anymore, I have already won."
"So, now what will you do?" Asked Roll.
"Glad you asked, I'm to finish all of you off, then I'll leave through the portal and begin my conquest of the universe. I could leave you all here stranded, and close the portal, but I don't want to risk the chance of you finding a way to go after me." Replied Ra Mega Man.
"We won't let you." Said Summer.
"Bring it on then."
Corrupted Hero - Ra Mega Man
Ra Mega Man immediately started the fight by sending out waves of paralysing electrical waves across the floor, as it caught Doctor Wily while the rest of then group were able to dodge the attack, making him stuck to the ground. After which he shot out five massive metal blades across the room, as it started to twirl around in circles across the room, making it neigh in possible for the group to be able to get to him. As Proto and Bass unleashed the power of their busters onto their opponents, only for the shots to merely get absorbed into him.
With Proto Man and Bass getting punched in the face by the robot before they could even have a chance to blink, as they got knocked into the giant metal blades where they began to realise that Ra Moon was using Rock's abilities alongside his own against them while they were repeatedly getting hit by the points of the blades. Penny tried to free them from the blades by throwing the ropes attached to her blades around them, only for a black hole bomb to get thrown onto the ground as she managed to pull them out of the blades.
And as the bomb exploded, a massive black hole began to form in the room beginning to suck in the group, as everyone present had to hold on for dear life to avoid getting sucked in. But due to the sheer size of the hole it became more difficult with each passing second as it didn't seem like it would vanish anytime soon. So Penny had to make a quick decision, as she pulled all of her energy into one location and fired the biggest laser she had ever made into the black hole.
As the extra energy started to overload it, until it unleashed a final wave of energy that only managed to hit Ra Mega Man and then vanished into nothingness, which created a quick opening for the group while Penny dropped to the floor in exhaustion from having to use up all of her energy in that move, while both Proto Man and Bass stayed with her to ensure she wouldn't get hurt. Though Bass seemed to be doing it a lot less willingly then Proto Man.
Roll quickly used the opening to fire a fully charged up blast of atomic fire into the robot, which stunned it for long enough to allow Ballade to throw several of his own explosives into the robot, stunning it long enough to allow Sunstar to charge up his arm cannon and fire a laser into the robot, after which Quint used the sakugarne to jump onto Ra Mega Man and use the power of the pogo stick to slam him into the dirt.
But despite the heavy damage taken, Ra Mega Man was able to get out of the ground quickly and used both gears to fire several charged shots at rapid succession into the robots, making them all fall to the ground and leaving Summer the only one able to to stand up against him. As she raised her and axe quickly rushed towards him, as she was able to strike him a first time, but then when she tried striking him a second time she saw that he smirked at her.
And before she could even comprehend what he was doing, she had struck him a second time and Ra Mega Man morphed his body into that of Ruby as it asked "Why would you want to hurt me mommy?"
"What... how is this possible? I would... I would never... I would never hurt you... my little rose..." Whimpered Summer as she took out the axe.
Ra Mega Man turned back to normal, saw this moment of weakness, and said "Thanks to having everyone on Remnant under my control I can turn into anyone at will." as he quickly turned into Yang. "Why did you leave us?"
"No... I didn't!"
He then turned into Professor Ozpin "Such a disappointment."
"I did what asked of me!"
Then turned into Raven "I always knew you were too weak to anything right."
"Stop it!"
He then unleashed a wave of electricity onto Summer to stun her in place, as he morphed into Qrow "Truly you're a failure."
"No..."
He then turned back into Rock "You couldn't even protect me, how can you protect anyone."
"I did what I could."
"If you had done more, you would have been able to save Remnant, and none of this would have happened." He said having turned into Doctor Light
"No... that's not true."
"You left us, you left all of us. You made everything worse for everyone, and now you doomed Remnant" Said Tai as he was standing right in front of her.
"NO!" She tried to scream out, only for no sound to come out of her mouth as she fell to her knees to begin sobbing silently, as Ra Mega Man grabbed her axe and smirked at her.
"Summer! Don't... Don't listen to him! It's not real! He's just trying to get to you!" Shouted Proto Man.
"It's too late now, she's already been broken, but don't worry Summer, I'll make good use of this axe when I get out of here." Said Ra Mega Man, as he didn't notice King getting up behind him, seeing the situation and rushing towards him while quickly striking his axe into Ra Mega Man's back. "What in the..."
"Thought you had seen the last of me? Guess again Ra Moon, consider this payback for bringing me back under Wily's control." Said King, as he removed his axe and allowed the now recovered Duo to rush in and deliver several swift punches to the robot, before sending him into the floor.
Ra Mega Man tried to get back up, but found himself struggling to do so as he said "You may have me cornered, but I'm not getting out of his body!"
Summer then got up from the ground and said "There's no need for that, I'll just pull you out myself." As she became full intangible and then jumped into Ra Mega Man's body.
"No! What is this..." he shouted as his body began to switch between black and blue "...I'm not leaving..." as Summer began to appear out of the body slowly beginning to pull a digital version of Ra Moon out of the body while he kept struggling to stay out "...You won't win!" he shouted one last time before Summer managed to release the last cable from Rock's body as she jumped out of his body and made it across the room, while Rock turned back to normal and dropped to his knees.
"Ugh... what happened..." he wondered as Dup helped him get back up while sharing some his own energy to heal whatever damage he took. But then his memories of the last few moments returned and he said "Oh... I remember now." All the while Summer kept holding onto Ra Moon and was struggling to keep him in place.
The group looked at the portal in front of them, then towards Summer who continued to struggle keep the robot in place, as everyone save for Rock and Duo quickly ran through the portal to get out of there. "Rock, we have to go, now!" Shouted Duo.
"But what about Summer?" Rock asked.
"I'll be fine, once you get out of here and back into the real world it will dispell Ra Moon from your body!" Summer shouted, as Ra Moon dug his wires into her and started to electrocute her.
"SUMMER!" Rock shouted.
"Don't worry about me... just go!" Shouted Summer, struggling to keep Ra Moon's digital version in place, while pulling out an orb out of her pockets and throwing it to Rock.
"What is that?" Rock asked.
"It's not important... just keep it safe... and deliver it to the right people... Ahhhhhh!" Summer shouted as she once again got electrocuted by Ra Moon.
"I will, thank you... for everything." Said Rock, as Duo entered through the portal.
"No Rock, thank you..." Replied Summer, as Rock gave her one final look of confusion before entering throught the portal, while Summer slammed Ra Moon into the ground right as the portal closed. "Good luck out there, I did all I could for you." She whispered, as she then got ready to face an enraged Ra Moon who got ready to strike her with all of his might.
Back in the real world
Rock jolted awake as he found himself back in the ruins and saw that liquid metal that had been covering him previously, was now fully gone and the people that helped him get through the virtual version of Remnant in his mind were starting to wake up too. "We made it." Rock whispered.
"Yes we did Rock, yes we did." Replied Duo.
"I'm sorry about shooting you."
"No worries about that, you weren't in control, I can't blame you for that." Said Duo, right as the now deactivated Ra Moon began to shake violently as it turned back on and faced the group with the red light emminating from it's eye. "And look who has returned."
"Yes I have, but no matter, I refuse to give up. It's only a minor setback afterall, I disposed of that woman in white, I'll dispose of all of you. I'll just take over your body again." Replied Ra Moon
"Not happening." Said Rock, as he and everyone else present raised their weapons up at Ra Moon while the computer put up it's cables gettiing ready to strike "Let's finish this."
A/N: And there you have it, they managed to find their way back to the real world and prevented Ra Moon from taking over Rock's body, but will it be enough to put a permanent stop to Ra Moon and save Remnant? All of that next time.
