Pokémon: Sinnoh no Isekai
Chapter Two-hundred and sixty-one: Barely Beastly
Needing to take time off from their goal of catching every legendary and mythical Pokémon of Sinnoh lore, the reborn trainers went back to their current trek through the current season of the World Coronation Series. They arrived in Johto where Kenny and Trip aim to challenge other trainers in the Great Class in their bid to bump themselves up to the Ultra Class. Speaking of the Ultra Class, Dawn had an Ultra Class battle that just so happened to be scheduled in Johto; her opponent would be the leader of the Blackthorn City gym, Claire.
Dawn was training for that battle as Kenny and Trip both came walking in after getting off of some battling against other trainers. "It is official," Kenny proclaimed, "Trip and I are now both in the Ultra Class!"
"Alright, boys!" Mina cheered, "Now you'll be able to battle opponents at an even higher level!"
Kenny nodded once in the affirmative. "It's only a matter of time before I get my Ultra Class battle with Rimu," Kenny said, "A fierce contest where we go all out against one another in glorious battle! But with the twin powers of moxie and cringe, I shall prevail!"
Dawn let out a knowing, mildly amused sigh as she recalled some of her Pokémon that she was working with. "Ultra Class battles are pre-determined in regards to who battles who, Kenny," Dawn began to point out, "Even though you and that Rimu guy from Paldea are both in the Ultra Class now, there's no guarantee that the two of you will get to-"
*ROAR*
Dawn stopped short when she heard a loud, mildly distressed roar coming from a ways away. That roar was followed by other roars from different beings, followed by a collective of human shouts that could only have been heard because it sounded like they were all grouped together. "...That sounds like trouble," Dawn said, "You think we ought to go investigate?"
"Sounds like an interesting excursion," Trip remarked before he and the others all followed Dawn to go check on what in blazes was going on.
...
When the reborn trainers arrived to the scene of where the noise was all coming from, they saw to their surprise that a number of Pokémon Hunters were trying to wrangle the legendary Pokémon Suicune near a lake. However that was a tall order, given that Raikou and Entei were ALSO there at the lake, obviously aiming to help their fellow Beast Trio member. The hunter who appeared to be the leader of the hunters tried to have his Houndoom attack Suicune, but Entei cut it off by striking down on Houndoom with Stomp, knocking it out in one hit.
"Damn it," the hunter boss swore, "Our contract said only to go after Suicune! How were we supposed to know that-"
The hunter boss was cut off when he was rammed along his side by a larger than normal Kommo-o, surprising his men as well as the legendary beasts. A larger than normal Alolan Marowak also came in and parried a blow that would have otherwise struck Raikou, and a larger than normal Mimikyu went in while everyone was occupied and helped Kenny with undoing the net that was cast over Suicune. "Hey, trainers are butting in on our job to try and capture Suicune!" said one of the peon hunters, "We need to-"
That hunter was cut off when a Dragonite flew in and struck him down. "Alright, Dragonite!" Mina cheered as she as well as Dawn and Trip came into view, "We got this!" Within quick order, the reborn trainers defeated what resistance the hunters were able to boast, and many of the hunters were knocked out. It was as Dawn was tying up the hunter boss with Tambourine watching that she heard familiar voices call out to her.
"Hey Dawn! Kenny! Trip! Mina!"
Looking over, Dawn and the others saw it as Ash and Goh came running up onto the scene. "Hello boys," Dawn said, "Mind giving the others and I a hand here?"
Looking around, Goh said, "We came here because we got reports of a lot of activity from Suicine, who has been going around purifying bodies of water. It's been using said power way more often that what ought to be considered natural."
Ash, as he looked at all of the knocked out hunters, cast a suspicious glare at them. "I'm willing to bet these unsavory fellows here might be behind it."
"I did hear," Dawn began, "One of them saying something about having a job involving Suicune. With all of the men here captured, I say that we can-"
Dawn was cut off when a hunter that was struggling against being kept pinned by Dawn's named totem Kommo-o was able to get up, but said hunter was immediately knocked back down when struck from behind by a Flame Wheel attack. Coming out from using Flame Wheel was Entei, who pressed its front left foot onto the back of the hunter who tired to make a break for it. Entei then turned its head to look up at Dawn, gave her an approving nod that conveyed a decent level of respect. Similarly, Raikou helped Trip and his named totem Alolan Marowak Alfred keep another hunter from making a break for it.
Goh, for his part, looked amazed by seeing the legendary beasts of Johto work so willingly with humans. "Wow, they were troubled by humans, and yet they're willingly helping out other humans," Goh remarked.
"Well obviously they're wise enough to tell the difference between hostile humans who need to be brought to justice," Dawn began, "And good humans who seek to bring said hostile humans to jus-"
"Oh snap, Suicune!" Kenny said, cutting Dawn off and making her and everyone else turn to see that Suicune collapsed onto its side, with Kenny and his named totem Mimikyu Delerious fretting over it.
Pointing to Ash and Goh, Dawn said, "Boys, call for some police and the nearest Pokémon Center! Suicune needs medical attention and these hunters need to be brought in for questioning!" Ash and Goh proceeded to act as asked, although they stopped short when another hunter was able to get up and try going for Dawn, only for Entei to step in, grab onto that hunter with Crunch, and throw him back down to the ground. Dawn thanked Entei for its help as Ash and Goh were able to go about their jobs to help resolve things here.
...
All of the hunters were rounded up and apprehended by the police, with Officer Jenny thanking the heroes for their service. As for the team from the Pokémon Center, they lacked the means of transporting Suicune to the Pokémon Center for treatment. Kenny, in what he called a brilliant move, decided to make transport to the Pokémon Center easy by using an Ultra Ball to capture Suicune, who was too exhausted and hurt from its poisoning to resist capture. Kenny said that he'll look into seeing if Suicune wants to leave after treatment, as he caught it mainly to make transporting it to the Pokémon Center easier.
To the surprise of the police officers, Raikou and Entei helped with gathering the hunters and bringing them to police cruisers and police vans to take them in for questioning. Goh, impressed by how helpful and seemingly wise Raikou and Entei were, tried to capture one of them, first trying to chuck a Pokéball at Raikou who just zapped it with Thunderbolt before it even got close. Raikou's attitude towards Goh immediately soured, and Goh not even realizing it tried the same at Entei who busted the Pokéball Goh threw at it with a Flame Wheel it used while standing in place.
"Goh, Raikou and Entei clearly don't trust you," Dawn said as Goh tried again to capture one of them.
Goh, who took pause, said, "But they're awesome Pokémon! I gotta catch them, especially as it ought to help me with my goal of meeting and catching Mew!"
Goh would have gone on, but he was stopped by a chop to his head from Ash. "Dawn has a point, Goh," Ash remarked, "You ought to give up on trying to capture Raikou and Entei."
As the others were trying to get Goh to settle down, Kenny who was followed by Mina came walking up. "Well, we're about to get going to the Pokémon Center to have Suicune treated," Kenny said, "Hopefully Suicune will be willing to let the Nurse Joy treat it." As the humans nodded in understanding, Raikou and Entei walked up to look at Kenny, giving him concerned looks laced with mild worry. "You guys are worried for Suicune, huh?" Kenny asked.
"Hey I just remembered something," Trip said, "The waters around Dragonspiral Tower in Unova are still heavily polluted, and last I checked the Unovan government still hasn't done squat to remedy it due to dealing with other issues. You think Suicune may be willing to tag along at least for long enough to help with clearing the waters around Dragonspiral Tower?"
Snapping her fingers, Dawn said, "That's right. The police were able to get it that the hunters were taking advantage of Suicune's power to purify polluted waters by dumping waste and sludge into the waters around here to make Suicune feel compelled to come by and purify the waters."
Turning to look at Kenny, Mina said, "We ought to head on over to Unova as soon as Suicune's better so you can have it purify the waters around Dragonspiral Tower. What do you think?"
Kenny thought about it for a moment. "...That's actually not a bad idea. But it'll have to wait until after Suicune is treated." The heroes then proceeded to head on off to the Pokémon Center, but were met up by Raikou and Entei, neither of whom seemed inclined to let Suicune go it alone. The heroes agreed, and with all of the hunters taken off for questioning, the heroes went to the Pokémon Center, with Raikou and Entei following along behind.
...
Over at the Pokémon Center, the heroes stood by looking through a window into a treatment room as Suicune was resting on a medical bed. It's poisoning and various injuries were treated, and now the heroes were waiting on word from Nurse Joy. As a side note, both Raikou and Entei were standing with the heroes, looking on into the room that Suicune was resting in. Although the both of them still looked very much worried, there were hints of relief in the expressions of Raikou and Entei as they saw it that Suicune was being treated.
As the heroes plus Raikou and Entei stood around, Nurse Joy came out from the room that Suicune was resting in. "Suicune is just going to need time to rest is all," said Nurse Joy, "After that Kenny will be free to take it back."
As the heroes let out a releived sigh, Ash said, "What I'd like to know is why those hunters were after Suicune in the first place."
"The lead hunter said something about a 'contract'," Trip began, "Maybe that has something to do wi-" Trip was cut off when Raikou nudged its nose into Trip's arm before giving him an expectant look. Likewise, Entei did the same with Dawn. Seeing the looks in their eyes, Dawn and Trip realized that Entei and Raikou wanted to go along with them, much like how Suicune is (unintentionally) going along with Kenny. As such, Dawn and Trip both ended up catching Entei and Raikou respectively. Dawn ended up naming Entei as Bonfire, and Trip named Raikou as Ren.
Snapping his fingers, Goh said, "I wanted to catch them!"
Turning to look at goh, Kenny said, "But did they want you to catch them? Did you ever consider that?"
Goh turned to look at Kenny. "Suicune made no indication it wanted you to catch it."
"Me and Suicune is something of an emergency situation," Kenny pointed out. Folding his arms over his chest, Kenny went on, "Methinks that you're just being-"
"Hey, heroes!" a police officer called out suddenly, cutting Kenny off and making the heroes turn to see a police officer come running up to them. Catching his breath a bit, the police officer went on, "We... we just got part of why the hunters were after Suicune. They didn't list specific names, but we DID the the identity of the group that had the hunters under contract to get Suicune for them."
"Alright, who is it?" Dawn asked, having an itching feeling the prediction she had was going to be right on the money.
...
Dawn's prediction that the group who had the hunters under contract to get Suicune for them would end up being Team Scorn ended up being right on the money. According to the boss of the hunters, a member of Team Scorn identifying himself as the Admin in charge of Johto's native sector of Team Scorn was, under orders from the Boss's Assistant, hiring the hunters to force Suicune out into the open and try to capture it in a cage; one of the hunters capturing it in a Pokéball was out of the question. It was clear that Ayane, and to a lesser extent Admin Brother, wanted a Team Scorn member to be Suicune's original trainer.
The hunters' plan would have worked from what the investigation revealed, failing only because Raikou and Entei had shown up to help Suicune out. The hunters were prepared for Suicune, so either Raikou or Entei acting alone showing up to help Suicune threw everything for the hunters off kilter. Both showing up at the same time to help out Suicune was the absolute worst nightmare for the hunters. And now with Dawn, Kenny, and Trip having respectively caught Entei, Suicune, and Raikou, the plan the hunters had was never going to succeed, they would of had to report their failure to Team Scorn had the hunters not been all captured.
"Hey, I just remembered something about the waters around Dragonspiral Tower being polluted," Kenny spoke up, "Team Scorn is also behind that, albeit more directly than them having hunters dirty waters here in Johto for them to make Venoct come out to play."
Goh gave Kenny a curious look. "Venoct?"
"That's the name I gave Suicune," Kenny said, "But anyway, evidence was found near Dragonspiral Tower confirming that the environment around there being made humanity's whipping boy was all Team Scorn's doing."
"You know, I'm suprised that Iris hasn't tried to do anything to fix the pollution problem there," Ash said, "Given that Dragonspiral Tower is heavily connected to dragons which Iris loves, and Iris is the Champion of Unova."
"Actually Ash, Iris HAS tried to do work there," Dawn confirmed, "And last I heard she still is trying to push for it. But it's just that Unova's government has other tasks it considers more important than helping the environment of their region." Folding her arms over her chest, Dawn went on, "What I'd like to know is-"
"Hey you guys!"
Dawn was cut off by the familiar call of Ideku Badorigo, the roaming trainer they're friends with. Ideku, who hailed from Johto thus was back home, jogged up to the heroes. "I heard that you guys were in Johto," Ideku said, "I figured I'd see you as I had some battles for the World Coronation Series here. What's going on?"
"We just stopped a plot by hunters to wrangle Suicune up for Team Scorn," Trip explained. He went into detail with Ideku, including how Raikou and Entei also showed up, and that Trip himself caught Raikou while Dawn and Kenny respectively caught Entei and Suicune.
Ideku had a clearly surprised look on his face. "You guys caught legendary Pokémon?"
Shrugging, Trip said, "It ain't the first time for any of us."
The roaming trainer from Johto relaxed a bit when that was pointed out to him. "Fair point." Folding his arms over his chest, Ideku went on, "Well there's no doubt in my mind that Team Scorn is aiming to collect as many Pokémon commonly thought to exist only in lore as possible. It's bad enough that Ayane once had Reshiram, we can't let her or anyone else in Team Scorn get a hold of another legendary or mythical Pokémon."
"Actually, Ayane had recently caught a legendary Pokémon called Eternatus over in Galar," Dawn said, "It's at least as dangerous as Reshiram was when Ayane had it."
Ideku's eyes widened with shocked surprise. "So Ayane can threaten regions again. Great." To the heroes, Ideku said, "It's obvious that Team Scorn is looking to power up enough so they can take on trainers capable of fielding entire parties of legendary and mythical Pokémon. But what Team Scorn clearly doesn't know is that having so much power alone will only get them so far."
Dawn nodded once in agreement, remembering the time when she defeated someone running an entire party of legendary and mythical Pokémon while the only legendary she had was Tsukune, her named Palkia; the other Pokémon that Dawn had on hand for that battle were Chi-Chi, Cyrus, Leni, Akiza, and Germany. A team who is well trained and sufficiently prepped can handle just about whatever's thrown at it. Even so, it would be prudent to keep Team Scorn from going after any other legendary and mythical Pokémon. The fate of the regions of the world could very well depend on it.
Ash was about to speak up, but he was cut off when a phone from Mina went off. "Oh, it's Kenny's phone," Mina said, "He left it with me so he could tend to Venoct and not be distracted by-" Stopping short when she checked Kenny's phone, Mina said, "Umm... wow. Hey Kenny, your first Ultra Class battle's been decided."
"What's the deets, sweetness?" Kenny asked.
"The battle will take place one week from you getting the notification just now," Mina said, "It'll be held in Nimbasa City, Unova. The Nimbasa City gym will be the location of the battle."
"Venoct will be healed long before then," Trip said, "And Dawn's Ultra Class battle with Claire is in two days. That gives us plenty of time to zoom over to Unova, have Venoct work its magic to clean the waters around Dragonspiral Tower, and still give Kenny prep time to face his first Ultra Class opponent in the battle in Nimbasa City's gym against..." Turning to look at Mina, Trip asked, "...Umm, who IS Kenny's first opponent in the Ultra Class?"
Chuckling a bit in amusement, Mina said, "Get this! It's that Rimu guy from Paldea!"
"Oh hells the frig yeah!" Kenny cheered, "My first opponent in the Ultra Class and it's Rimu, my worthy adversary from Paldea! We shall cringe up a storm of moxie in Nimbasa City, mark my words!"
"We can go to Unova after I have my battle with Claire," Dawn said, drawing nods of agreement out of the rest of the heroes. With issues settled, the heroes relaxed until Nurse Joy said it was time for Kenny to collect Venoct. The named Suicune seemed a bit wary of Kenny, but seeing Ren and Bonfire vouch for Kenny did much to put Venoct at ease. Ideku took off after seeing everything was well, and Ash and Goh took off to report back to Chloe's dad. Ash also made note of how Chloe's classmates were all made to realize the error of their ways for screwing with Chloe the way that they had.
It would seem that all was going to be well.
...
Two days later, things took a bit of a surprising turn as a result of Dawn's Ultra Class battle with Claire.
First off, Dawn won the battle; spending the days leading up to the battle focusing on trying to train Bonfire up a bit, Dawn after the training made a lot of progress went into the three-on-three battle against Claire. Claire's Gyarados, Dragonaire, and Kingra soon fell in battle to Dawn's named Latios Lincoln who, thanks to learning Thunderbolt, was able to hit all of Claire's Pokémon for super effective damage. However, Dawn only had Lincoln take out Gyarados and Dragonaire before swapping in her named totem Kommo-o Tambourine to take out Kingdra.
However, the surprising bit came AFTER Dawn won; her rank, due to the Ultra Class battles she had won since entering the Ultra Class, had risen all the way to ninth. As a result, she was eligible for an Entrance Battle, where the top ranked trainer of the Ultra Class could challenge the bottom ranked trainer of the current Masters Eight. A quick check done by Mina confirmed that the current eighth ranked trainer, thus lowest in the current Masters Eight, was Flint of Sinnoh's elite four. "Well now, looks like you're primed to make a mark as one of the eight strongest trainers in the world, my main man," Kenny remarked to Dawn.
"We... can discuss this after we get to Unova," Dawn said, still a little bit surprised that she had risen to rank nine as quickly as she had. She wasn't even paying much attention to her rank to be honest, as she was more concerned with how Team Scorn was acting up. She was especially worried that Team Scorn may try to interfere with the World Coronation Series in some way, but she quickly calmed herself back down. Dawn figured that not even Team Scorn would try to mess with a contest that sees trainers from all over the world compete to see who is the strongest trainer in the world.
...Right?
A few days later, the reborn trainers arrived in the Unova region, where the first thing they looked into was head to Opelucid City. There, they met up with Iris, who heard that Dawn was close to breaking her way into the Masters Eight. Dawn nodded once in acknowledgement before telling Iris that she and the others were there in Unova for two reasons, both of which actually connect to Kenny in some way. The first is that Kenny (as well as Trip) had both made it into the Ultra Class, and Kenny's first Ultra Class opponent would be Rimu, the Champion ranked trainer from Paldea. Their battle was to be held in the Nimbasa City Gym.
The second reason also involved the polluted waters that were around Dragonspiral Tower. Letting out a troubled and mildly annoyed sigh, Iris said, "Yeah, the waters around Dragonspiral Tower are still messed up, and Unova's government still refuses to act to remedy it due to facing other problems. There's more than a fair few persons here in Unova who are angry that Unovan legislature is putting the region's environmental issues low on the list of priorities, so I'm far from along on this issue." Iris then looked at Kenny with a wry look of piqued curiosity. "And how does that also relate to Kenny coming here to Unova?"
At that cue, Kenny tossed up a ball to call out Venoct, his named Suicune. Iris was taken aback to see a legendary Pokémon coming out out. "This here is Venoct, who is rolling with me now," Kenny explained, "Venoct, being the legendary Pokémon Suicune, has the power to purify polluted bodies of water, undoing the efforts of those who would make the environment their bitch."
Iris instantly lit up with excited realization. "That means we can clean the waters around Dragonspiral Tower at long last!" Kenny recalled Venoct, and then the reborn trainers and Iris took off for Dragonspiral Tower, with Iris even calling in a news crew to get a load of what's about to go down.
...
Over at Dragonspiral Tower, the reborn trainers and Iris all arrived, and saw that there were a few hazard workers on the scene. Iris also saw a news van pull up as she had requested. "Seeing someone born on foreign soil clear up an issue that the Unovan people at large want cleared away ought to help make Unova as a whole more willing to work with foreigners," Iris pointed out.
Kenny nodded in agreement before he walked up to the shore of the waters surrounding Dragonspiral Tower. Even with just a casual glance, Kenny was able to see it that the waters around Dradonspiral Tower looked foul, like the pale light brown coloration of water scraped out of rugs that were being cleaned. Nodding once to himself as he understood his role, Kenny said, "Don't worry, Iris. Venoct and I got this." Kenny then called out his named Suicune, who stood at his side. "Alright Venoct," Kenny began, "It's time to work your mag-"
"Hold up right there!"
Kenny was cut off when he and everyone else there heard a male voice call out, making them all turn to see a man wearing sunglasses and a black suit come walking over from a parked car. The car was shiny, black, and sleek, and the man himself looked mid to late thirties; fair skinned, scruffy light brown hair, and his black suit and shiny black dress shoes made it clear he was a person of some degree of rank within the region's government. Folding his arms over his chest, the man said, "I'm here on behalf of Unova's government, when it got word that Unova Champion Iris was leading persons over to the watewrs of Dragonspiral Tower with the means of cleaning the polluted waters and restore everything to prestine condition."
Pointing at himself, Kenny said, "Umm, yeah, that would be me. I was gonna-"
"-Back off and leave the situation here at Dragonspiral Tower as is," the Unovan government official declared firmly, "The clean-up efforts here will be gotten to at such time when Unova's government is able to focus on it."
"Are you kidding me?!" Iris practically exclaimed, "We have the means of resolving a region-wide issue instantly, and at no cost, yet we can't use it because the bigwigs of Unova's government want things here to wait until they can handle it?!"
The Unovan government official turned to look right at Iris. The glare he was giving was mostly masked by his sunglasses, but Iris could tell that he was giving her a very critical look. "Champion Iris, you've got to understand," the government official began, "Things have to be done in a very careful order. Someone doing one of those things out of order could lead to things becoming a jumbled mess here in Unova that, as someone who isn't government and politics savvy, you simp-"
"Kenny's Suicune had just gone ahead and started purifying the waters around Dragonspiral Tower anyway," Mina spoke up, cutting the government official off and making him and everyone else turn to see that Venoct was in the middle of purifying the waters around Dragonspiral Tower. Within a few moments, Venoct had purified all of the water around Dragonspiral Tower, drawing cheers and applause from many of those who witnessed it.
However, the cheers soon died off and became angry complaints when a few others came out of the government official's car and went up to Kenny. To make matters worse, Kenny was even arrested by the government officials, with the charge being 'interfering with Unovan government work'. There was loads of complaining from many of those who were on scene, with Mina even saying that Kenny wasn't interfering with Unovan government work because the Unovan government wasn't going to do that work period due to refusing to get off its collective duff to help the environment.
That led to Mina being arrested as well for 'mouthing off to Unovan government officials'. Dawn and Trip couldn't do much to stop Kenny and Mina from being taken away, and Iris said that she was going to be looking into calling in some help to get Kenny and Mina cleared. That gave Dawn the idea to call in some help as well, as she did not want to see friends of hers taken away to jail, especially as they hadn't done anything wrong.
"This... may be a bad time to bring this up," Trip said, "But in the event of Kenny and Mina going to jail, well... Kenny had told me that one of his on-hand Pokémon is Zarbon."
Dawn's eyes widened out of horror. "We need to hurry."
Luckily for the reborn trainers, pretty much everything else was on their side. First off, there's the fact that Kenny not only technically broke no laws, but the one thing he did do was construed as 'an act of goodwill', also it helped that technically he didn't order his Suicune to act, it had acted on its own. Secondly, the people of Unova, although still wary of foreigners, were starting to grow unamused with how Unova's government is running things. The fact that Kenny's goodly act of clearing the waters around Dragonspiral Tower and being arrested for it by Unovan government officials was seen on live news only served to make the Unovan people more disenfranchised with their region's government.
Also, there's the fact that inter-regional law came down on Unova's government HARD for unjustly arresting a foreigner on their region's soil, not helping is the fact that government officials don't actually have the power or authority to make arrests; they would have to call in police for it. Kenny, as well as Mina, were let go and cleared of all wrongdoing due to inter-regional powers essentially bullying Unova's (increasingly corrupt) government into doing do. Helping Kenny's case is the fact that his being wrongfully arrested for a non-existent reason was interfering with the current season of the World Coronation Series, so that had ended up giving the World Coronation Series Committee ammo to shoot at Unovan government with.
Other regions, especially Sinnoh, were less willing than ever before to be allies with, and lend aid to, Unova, leaving the region more politically isolated than ever before. It still had many issues it was struggling with, including increasing activity from the Longsword Sector, which is Unova's native sector of Team Scorn. And now Unova's own people, although still mostly sharing at least some of the government's xenophobic slant, was starting to grow a bit tired of how the bigwigs who were in charge of running the show were... well, running the show. But those very same bigwigs refused to relent no matter what, so things in Unova would continue to be run as how they saw fit to run things.
At a minimum, at least Kenny and Mina were free, and the reborn trainers were able to focus on training. Kenny was training as he had to prep for his Ultra Class battle against Rimu, his rival from Paldea. Kenny still couldn't believe his luck in how Rimu just so happened to be slated as his first opponent in the Ultra Class. As for Dawn, she was training to prep to face Flint for the Entrance Battle where, if Dawn won, she would take Flint's place in the Masters Eight, signifying her as one of the top eight strongest trainers in the world. The reborn trainers were excited for things to come, and Trip said he was gonna get a kick out of 'watching the train wreck that would be Unova's government being roasted'.
Considering Trip himself was natural born and raised Unovan, that says a lot.
END, CHAPTER TWO-HUNDRED AND SIXTY-ONE
Author's notes;
This chapter sees the reborn trainers having to take a break from catching all of Sinnoh's legendary and mythical Pokémon because Pyramid King Brandon has the last one that they need. Focusing on the World Coronation Series, Dawn and the others go to Johto where Dawn, Kenny, and Trip respectively catch Entei, Suicune, and Raikou because hunters tried catching Suicune but failed when the other two showed up to help bail Suicune out. Ash and Goh also pop in as they were following word of Suicune being active a lot, and the heroes even met Ideku at the Pokémon Center.
Dawn also has an Ultra Class battle with Claire the Blackthorn City gym leader and wins, bumping Dawn's rank in the World Coronation Series up to ninth and making her eligible for an Entrance Battle where she'll face Flint of the Sinnoh elite four. The reborn trainers go to Unova as Kenny not only has his first Ultra Class battle there, and it's against his Paldean rival Rimu no less, but Kenny has his Suicune clear the waters around Dragonspiral Tower. However, things take a negative turn after things are cleaned up at Dragonspiral Tower when Unovan government officials arrest Kenny.
Luckily it was all basically trumped up, and Kenny (plus Mina who was also 'arrested') is let go. This allows the reborn trainers to focus on the issues ahead, mainly Kenny prepping for his Ultra Class battle against Rimu, and Dawn prepping for her Entrance Battle against Flint. Things here will continue into the next chapter, where a bit of light is shed on why the Unovan government is as bad as it is in between Kenny's battle and Dawn's battle. The events of the next chapter are one to keep eyes out for, so stay tuned for more. Until then, take care.
There's an update on the issue involving PhoenixRebel, aka the plagiarizing thief over on Webnovel; they not only got the first nine chapters of this story copy and pasted, but they are saying that they had asked me. This confirms that not only is PhoenixRebel a plagarizing thief, but they're also a LIAR, because they never asked. Again, PhoenixRebel is NOT me, they do NOT have my permission to repost, and they did NOT even ask me. If they see this, I'm going to have to ask that they stop plagiarizing my story and take down what they had put up that they stole from me.
