"So thats why we use kunai," Iruka finished with a smile, "Alright class before we move on to next lesson can someone tell me who the most important figure in village history is?" Iruka looked around and it appeared nobody raised their hands. I decided to take the bait and answer the question. I raised my hand and Iruka smiled, "Finally someone and their not Sakura!" He then chuckled to himself, "Kukui who was the most important figure in the villages history?"

Why was everyone looking at me? I gulped. The attention sucked... but hey! I might as well spread the word of the best Hokage, "Most people would say Lord first or lord Third were the most important but I believe that honor goes to Tobirama Senju," I got a look that practically said, continue, "He's the one who put in place most of the systems we have in place today and he was the one who invented the Academy, the Anbu and the Chuunin exams," Iruka's smile grew as I continued, "Whilst the first laid the foundation for Lord Second to continue and Lord third continued his work, Konoha wouldn't be as great as it was today without Tobirama Senju,"

Iruka smiled, "I see you have been paying attention in class Kukui!" I hadn't. Well I have but the real Kukui hadn't. I just spouted the stuff I knew already, "Tobirama Senju or more known as are second Hokage is the one who has laid the groundwork for are village to grow. Whilst Lord First gave him the foundations, Tobirama Senju is the very reason why I am here teaching you today," He then turned to his chalkboard, "Now lets start the lesson. Important figures in the history of Konoha. Since The Hokage were mentioned how about we talk about are most recent one, The Yondaime?"

Excited chatter started and quickly ended once the glare of Iruka showed itself to us, "Okay then lets start with the Yondaime and work are way back. The Yondaime whilst not having the longest tenure as Hokage managed to make several changes like raising the graduation age of Shinobi to twelve, Introducing electives to the academy, and-"

'Electives?' I drowned out Iruka's voice for a second. 'Those weren't in canon... Okay so this just confirms I'm in at least a small AU.' Nothing too big. Right? Well at least I'm only eight days in to reincarnation. I should be able to find out the other finer and more important details... It wouldn't do to worry.' Yeah worrying wouldn't do me good. Especially now... In the academy.

"-And thats why Tsunade Senju is the second most important person in Konoha history," Holy shit just what did I miss? Iruka then looked at all the class, "Alright since we have some time left before going outside we are going to do a very special exorcise today to help improve your chakra control before we learn any jutsu,"

"Yada!" Naruto shouted as he stood up. Someone's excited. No that someone wasn't me. It was the king of pranks. Naruto Uzumaki.

"Ahem," Iruka coughed causing one energetic blond to sit back down, "Anyways as I told you all Wednesday we are going to be doing the leaf concentration excorcise!" He cheerfuly raised his hands in the air like he was Naruto learning a new jutsu. I grinned at this. Iruka was so passionate about teaching. He was better than any teacher I've had before! "Now you should already find a leaf on your desk." Sure enough there was one.

I grabbed it and inspected it. I already had an idea of how to do the chakra control exorcise somewhat from canon and fillers... and flashbacks... But what if it wasn't the same? What if its wildly di-

"Uh Sensei," Sakura raised her hand to get Iruka's attention, "How do we do the Leaf Concentration Excercise?" Oh thank god for Sakura. She saved me from having to ask the question and I would forever be grateful for that.

"Well," Iruka took a leaf from seemingly out of nowhere," Well you have to place a leaf one a chakra point. Preferably the fingertips, joints, or forehead to start with. Then you use you chakra to levitate it from the spot it is on. Your goal is to keep it on there for as long as possible and to levitate it as high as you can! So you'll really have to concentrate! Now try it everyone!" He looked around and everyone nodded.

I looked down at my leaf and placed it on my finger tip on my middle finger, holding it into the bird. "Alright lets try this." I began focusing my chakra into the finger and into the leaf. 'Lets hope this works.' The leaf began floating. If very slightly.

[New Skill unlocked: Leaf Concentration Excorcise]

[Leaf concentration excorcise lvl 1:

Allows user to levitate and eventually spin a leaf on a chakra point to build up more chakra control.

Amount of Leaf's that can be levitated: 1

Chakra cost: 5 Chakra points per second]

Yeah that cost a bit. Luckily for me it had only been a few seconds so I wasn't feeling too tired... 'If this is just for a chakra control exorcise imagine how much even a D-rank jutsu will Cost...' That was a scary thought indeed.

"Very good everyone. Even you Naruto! Your all getting it even if just barely!" I wasn't Naruto but that felt bad to the ears man... No need to call the poor boy out. He has enough chakra to level a small village. He's not gonna be good at Chakra control.

I on the other hand had to be good at it... I had shitty amounts of chakra. So having more control would be great... 'Maybe I can find another way to fight?' Yeah that would be a good idea... Oh well.

"Hey!" Naruto jumped up from his seat and onto his desk, "I'm a master at this stupid exercise!"

*Boom!*

Yeah Naruto's chakra control was definitely good. Totally...

"Ow!"

At least things were looking good for me.

Things weren't looking good.

I needed money.

Now, I got a stipend from the village because I was an orphan. I had no real source of income and I was going to become a shinobi in a few years. Now the thing is; I didn't have a lot of money. I needed money for a lot of things. Mainly extra food because I train more. And money for things I wanted to buy.

Now, I could always go the fanfiction route of working at a weapons shop. But fuck that. I had a different idea. I had gotten wind of there being a merchant caravan that passed through Konoha twice a month. They bought items as well as sold them.

Fur pelts were among the things they wanted. I was training to be a killer for hire. Which was basically a hunter but ten times more aggressive.

I knew what I needed to do. I grabbed a kunai and some finger paint. Time to learn to hunt!

Okay hunting was hard. Like. Really hard. I was good at being quiet, but I was shitty at catching the animal's before they ran away. And no, I wasn't in the Nara forest either. I just sucked. As always. 'Stupid rabbit,' I wish I had an easier time of catching them. But they were so agile.

I needed to get better soon otherwise I'd be fucked big time later. I needed money for my future ventures and survival. 'Maybe I need to try a different approach, perhaps I'm going about this in the wrong way,' I was thinking about this as a means of survival. Perhaps I needed to see hunting as a sport instead? It was the best I had. But I needed a competitor. A rival.

Soon enough a rival came in the form of a Cat. It blazed in front of me and grabbed the rabbit by the neck, biting into it and killing it with brutal efficiency. I winced at the sight. 'I think I have my competitor... and probably a better way of hunting...' I looked to find another rabbit or small creature.

Eventually I did. A rabbit. A bigger one than before. I grinned. I put my Kunai in my mouth and went on all fours.

I jumped toward the rabbit and I fell flat onto my face. I looked up and noticed I spat out the Kunai and by some stroke of misguided luck, I hit the rabbit square in the face, 'I'm going to need to work on my form. A lot.'

I looked up and saw that cat from before, now looking more full. It was a beautiful black and white cat. It looked completely evenly split. It looked at me curiously, "Hey any tips?"

"For one. Don't put a kunai in your mouth and lunge at anything unless your an Inuzuka," I heard a voice say and I yelped, I turned around and saw someone. Said person an Anbu with a cat mask on. Not the cat I was asking but hey it works.

I felt my face redden a twinge, "Yeah... not my brightest idea..." I elected to not ask the Anbu member why they were here for now and just stood up, "Well at least I killed it," I did. And if I skinned it correctly then I'd have a much better profit.

The anbu member chuckled, "Yeah but that's not as efficient as it should have been. You could have thrown your kunai at it instead and ambushed it from the other side or better yet, use a katana or a tanto and speed alone," Okay I felt like an idiot now... But I didn't have a Katana or Tanto so I felt a bit better about that one.

I did my best impression of a goldfish then, "Huh. I feel dumb now..." I looked at another close by rabbit and flicked my kunai at it as it stood still, "That was much more efficient and quicker," I thought a silent prayer for the rabbit I killed. I didn't enjoy it... But hey I needed to survive. Also damn, my aim was getting good.

The anbu nodded, "It was. That saved you a lot of time and effort. Now may I ask why an academy student is out here at nine PM hunting rabbits?" Oh yeah. Instead of calling the anbu, The anbu member. I decided to call them, Cat.

"Can I ask why an anbu is talking to an academy student?" I got no answer, "Fine," I rubbed the back of my head sheepishly, "I've been putting a bit more effort into my training recently. And because of that, I burn through a lot more calories quicker and I need more food. I don't want to get a job because I'm not really able to do a lot of the eligible ones and I suck at a lot of things, so hunting and selling the fur of whatever I hunt seems logical,"

Cat nodded, "That makes sense, Now it was nice talking to you but I'm busy and gotta go. Bye!" The anbu member then shunshined away.

Well. That was nice. 'Now to get these home,' I looked at the dead rabbits with sadness.

I looked at my newfound rabbit pelts with pride. I had carefully skinned them and I was proud of how I did. I even got a skill with them!

[Skinning Lvl 1:

Increases the quality of skinned goods by 5%]

They weren't perfect but they were pretty good. I thought so at least. Now I just had to amass a lot more of these in about a weeks time and I'd be good!

Easier said than done right?

Likely so but I wouldn't give up!

So. Yeah. It has officially been nine days that I've been in the Naruto world. The leaf concentration exercise was now a part of my training which I finished twenty minutes ago. So needless to say, I'm exhausted. But unfortunately, I have other things I need to do so instead of sleeping I find myself at the Library.

'This place is fucking huge...' It was the academy library which was open at most times. I say most since it was closed from three AM to five AM. Don't know why. But it is. So I had ample time to get some books on shinobi knowledge. I wasn't going to be a Ninjutsu powerhouse so I was going to become strong in a different way.

Luckily for me I showed my academy entrance card which is something you have apparently and I was let in without trouble. Another AU element I suppose. I was going to go through a few category's of the shinobi arts. Genjutsu was too complex so it and Ninjutsu were out. But I was looking at Fuinjutsu, Kenjutsu, and Trapmaking as my main choices for the Shinobi arts.

Now none of these took Chakra Control or too much of it so it was why I was going to learn at least one of them... Something to tide me over until later. I was also going to get a taijutsu book to actually learn it... I didn't know it and spars started in a week. I wanted to prepare to not get my ass completely kicked.

I strolled over to the first section.

Here was where the Kenjutsu section was. I couldn't get a sword at the moment. I needed to sell a few more pelts for that. A few more good pelts. The caravans that came by only took the best of the best. Whilst my Skinning skill helped, I had to actually use my own skill for this. Luckily for me I had pretty still hands. That'd also help with fuinjutsu if I actually learned it. Also Kenjutsu... Percise strikes with a sword would be great.

'A Tanto would be ideal.' I grabbed a book on basic Kenjutsu. Alright that was simple. The Taijutsu section was next. I quickly left the Kenjutsu section and made my way to the to the Taijutsu one. There would probably only be the basic style but there might be some different ones. I'd take one of them for sure. Using a basic style would be predictable. But using a different one would be better.

I reached the Taijutsu section and it was small. I checked and I was wrong. There was more then one style! I grabbed the first one I saw. Hummingbird-fist... 'Of course your real and not fanon... Oh well then. It says only the basic forms so nothing advanced.. Might as well grab it.' I grabbed my second book and then began making my way to the Fuinjutsu section. The Fuinjutsu section was on the other side of the Library from the Map near the Enterance. It was also really small.

I understood why. There probably was one book. Also almost nobody was interested in Fuinjutsu these days. So it was likely the books were old too... Ooh boy Library fees! That would suck. I eventually made my way to the Fuinjutsu section.

I was right. It was small. Like really small. Like there were two books and like eight copies of each. Fuinjutsu for dummies Volume one. And Volume two. 'I'll come back for Volume to at a different time.' Only one was needed. I grabbed one and smiled. I needed one more book and I could leave.

Luckily for me, the Trap making section was next to here. I grabbed a book on the basics.

'Welp. I've collected the Infinity Stones...' Now I just needed to check out.

That shouldn't be too bad.

Yeah that sucked. The Librarian made me stay to verify me checking out the books. Although I was actually allowed to keep the Fuinjutsu one since nobody else would miss it anyways so that was nice!

I looked down at the first book I had planned to read. Taijutsu. Well rather Hummingbird-fist: the basics. But still Taijutsu. I needed to learn the baics of Hummingbird-fist within a week. Shouldn't be too hard right? Maybe my system will help me with this.

I sighed. I was going to get my ass kicked right? Hopefully not by Kiba or Sasuke. That would really suck. But my luck wans't that bad right? Right? Okay it probably was.

Well... It was time to read I suppose.

'Hummingbird-fist is a Taijutsu style that relies mostly on kicks. Its first form involves-'

[End of Chapter]

Holy fuck I hated writing this. Now. Its late at night. 10:48 pm. So yeah its late. I've started this chapter late too. Sorry for the short chapter three but yeah. Chapter four will be longer I promise. Anyways did you enjoy this chapter? I enjoyed parts of it. Mainly Kukui Hunting. Originally I had planned for a whole traitor plot but I deleted that. I won't have conflict in this story for a bit. Anyways Kukui's skillset is revealed!

Originally he was a Ninjutsu and kenjutsu specialist. He still is but Fuinjutsu is added to the mix along with Trap making. Now you may be wondering, 'Tobi, isn't that a little OP?' and your probably not wondering it but if you're you are right. So the Ninjutsu part is more like NinFuinjutsu. Which is something I made up. You'll see what I mean soon. Chapter Seven at most. I'm really excited for it as it falls into the category of canon Fuinjutsu whilst also being Ninjutsu too.

I'm really proud of myself for this one.

Anyways, Hopefully you enjoyed the chapter!
