Allow us to introduce myself

Two weeks ago, an hour after the sports Festival

Deika City News Channel

"Thank you for agreeing to speak with me." Chitose smiled warmly, handing the girl a cup of coffee.

"Hey, thanks for actually letting me speak." Mina replied after taking a sip.

"For those joining us, please state your name."

"Mina Ashido, AKA Pinky."

"…Bit on the nose, don't you think?"

"Hey, I wanted Alien Queen, but Midnight-sensei axed that." Mina pouted.

Many viewers awed in understanding, winced or mumbled something about 'public domain.'

"Again, thank you for talking today. We appreciate getting your side of this complicated story."

"I needed to." Mina sighed. "So, it all started as a normal day of Rescue training…"

Over the following hour, reminisced how Izuku had, blowing up at Bakugo and kidnapping her aside, tried to minimized bloodshed, actively defied Tomura…and was really only there to feed his also hinted at two villain groups being active and voiced her concern as to why Hero students didn't learn about famous villains until third Year.

Something Nedzu was happy to rectify, she later learned.

Chitose had explained the 'public/official' story on Himiko, Magne, Gentle and Twice. Aside from Magne killing a minor Pro, it wasn't anything Mina hadn't gathered on her own. She had then painted more grey pictures for most; bullying, corruption….

It wasn't an easy chat, but Mina was happy. Now she could rest she had least made sure the world saw the versions of Izuku, Himiko, Kenji, Danjuro, Manami and Jin that she'd seen.

"For the record, please state your name." Nemuri said, a recorder playing as she readied a pen and paper.

"Twice! Jin Bubaigawara"

"What's your connection with the villain who kidnapped my student?"

"A friend! That moron! But he and Mina are soooo cute! And she's so good for Himiko; monster and horror movies scare me."

"Himiko?" Midnight asked. First name he dropped aside from his own; so he cared for her.

"I found her on the street, half laughing and half crying." Jin explained to Nemuri. "Not my story to tell. Her parents were idiotic ass-eating cheapskates!"

Midnight was taken aback by Jin's rage at that reveal. Those were not the words of a user. That was the reaction of a parent. She smiled; this guy was getting more interesting by the moment.

"By the way, Himiko worships you, could I get your autograph for her?" Jin asked.

"Maybe later. Jin, what would you say if I told you that, alongside Gentle Criminal and La Brava, UA is interested in helping you and your assoicates out?"

"….I'd say tell me more. Speak your piece, beautiful!"

Present Day

"Allow us to introduce ourselves." The Lizard man explained, holding the gothic girl at his side. "My name is Shuichi. This is my girlfriend Dimitra."

"Otherwise known by my HeroTube persona: XV Ral!"

Izuku, Manami and Himiko burst at their feet and started bowing at the girl or ask for an autograph, which she happily did.

"Wasn't expecting this but loving it. Especially from La Brava! Don't sell yourself short! If you did all that self-taught in less than a year? That is damn impressive."

Manami was taken aback from those words.

"Look, just because my Quirk makes hacking and all that easy? Doesn't mean I don't respect those who do it the old fashioned way. Heck more impressive, in my opinion."

"Do you see why I love this girl?" Shuichi smiled warmly, getting nods and smiles from Compress and Gentle.

"And at least you started doing it for decent reasons." Dimitra frowned, her mind going into memories….

Flashback

Dimitria had never intended to fall in love or become a villain or hero.

After her parents died, all she'd wanted to do was game away until her inheritance ran out, than she'd end it all. A sad and boring life to some, but to her it was enough. Besides, it was stressful, going out! Never knowing when a villain would attack, if a fight would delay transit, or a hero would be on patrol and make people swarm.

People. Two faced, hypocritical, half-hearted people. Sure, people online where the same, but at least it was easier to see the true ones and mock the fakers. Plus, if you were savvy enough with tech, or had someone else's account info, you could scram or frame away.

She didn't care at all…Until she met Shuichi.

A lizard boy who dreamed of changing the world, often frequenting news forums when not gaming and asking simple questions that never got answered….unless you called those morons who called him a hero wannabe.

It was how he responded to these people that drew her to him:

STAIN.

The Hero Killer, prover that heroes could fall and more often than not, at least when he was involved, were little different than the villains they brought in.

When his haters turned on him, calling him a villain sympathizer, for some reason, Dimitra had acted, quickly finding their dirty laundry or simply cutting all power or internet to their residences, sometimes for days on end.

She'd then ended her accounts and restarted them, only for the boy she'd helped find her again to thank her.

She found she liked being thanked.

They'd braved the world to meet at his countryside home. Shegichi was awestruck by Dimitra, calling her a gothic goddess. And she saw that his speech was backed up by a fit form.

They moved in together. Started streaming together, blowing up in popularity as they gamed and talked about how Stain's latest victim wasn;t such a paragon…and hate from some who were disgusted 'a hottie let a beast bed her'. But they didn't care as long as they had each other.

And then came Gentle's video to UA.

That had made them pause and reflect. Where…where THEY just as bad?

Then Izuku's.

"…There still alive." Both of them had realized. The time stamp, hidden by most but found by Dimitra's quirk, proved they'd recorded after the Oil Tanker was destroyed.

A wordless conversation decided their next move: Shuichi had sold as much of his stuff as he could, gathering up blades and metal to make a sword while Dimitra had summoned her drones to pack and back up wihatever they needed. They then left behind a small bit of cash and a fake suicide note, before heading to Mufasta, where they remained vigil on the Midoriya apartment.

(Present)

"So….Can we join you guys?" Spinner asked.

The others looked at each other: They had saved Izuku, they had experiences like them…and two hackers were always better than just one. Plus, Gentle mused, they were lacking in hetromorphs, and no group aiming to change things lasted without at least ONE of every Quirk type.

Besides, with Jin in custody, Izuku and Himiko could have another pair of close friends. Heck, maybe Shegichi could give Gentle's protégé tips and tricks on joining the 'lucky son of a gun with a woman so beyond his league it wasn't funny.'

What? Danjuro thought that Izuku and Mina looked adorable together! Plus, it would make a very interesting 'Dating Catwoman' dynamic between them, and the villain fanboy in him was all for that!

If nothing else, Dimitra would help Manami and Himiko find targets (IE Jin) easier.

So, with smiles all around, he turned, cleared huis throat and said:

"Well, XV Ral? Spinner? …Welcome to our band."

TSR

"And that there is why I think you SHOULD take All Might's offer!" Kirishima told his best friend as they walked home after school. Their internships started tomorrow and despite it all, Mina had chosen to study under some no name named Gran Torino.

A no name that made All Might shiver and wet his pants despite being older than Yoroi Musashi, the hero in charge of Mina and Eijirio's neighborhood.

Yeah, despite his single digit ranking, he didn't inspire confidence, with that Giant incident the year before. Still, Mina wanted to stay close to her home and family….

The pink skinned girl looked down at the hair All Might had given her. Even back to his prime, the hero knew he needed an heir, and in his mind, Mina was perfect:

Athletic, caring, charismatic, having seen the cruel side of society…and yeah, it would be nice for another female OFA user; he just knew Nana would like her. Sure, she'd need to control her Acid, but she was already able to do so much with it.

Mina placed the hair away and sighed.

"You really think I'd be good at this whole 'Chosen one' crud? I really think your Quirk would make you better. And come on, it;d manly as hell!"

Eijiro chuckled.

"Hey, you made friends from those 1D bullies and sent that Giant without a punch. Sides, it;d be cool of me to say "Hey! My best friend is #1!""

Mina chuckled as she came to hear house; Eijiro living right next door.

"I'll see what Gran Torino says." Mina assured her friend, who smiled as they went inside their respectvie house.

But with all good, there must come bad.

"Izuku Midoriya is alive!" The sludge villain exclaimed for the hundredth time in an interrogation room, the deceased head of Kai Chisaki duangling from his muck.

To be continued….

Lots of happening this chapter, hope it was worth the wait!

Not as full as I wanted: I had wanted to do a whole version of Chitose interviewing Mina, but I was a little pressed for time. If enough people are interested, I will gladly post the whole interview when its finished as a serpate story. If you'd like to see that, leave a comment in a review!

Also wanted to develop more of Jin and Nemuri's ship tease, but my mind was going blank.

Dimitra and Manami's budding friendship and Dimitra's little speech was inspired by the web-cartoon 'Epithet Erased', wherein there were two characters who HATED their own powers and joined an Anti-power organisation working towards getting rid of them, out of respect for hard work. Unlikely that the EE cast or characters will show up, since we have HumaRise as a supermaist organizatuon.

Next, we look into the Internships, Monoma trying to get Eri on HumaRise's side and see what/how the Rejects meet up with Stain again (expect a fanboy Spinner)…as well as how Destro reacts to Chitose's conflicted loyalty.

Stay safe!
