Chapter 22: Abduction of the Espadas I
"No, Szayel Aporro! There is no need for it," Zommari said as he used his Sonido to appear right in front of him.
"Why…? What are you trying to say Zommari?" Szayel Aporro responded with slight confusion.
"Aizen has betrayed us but this Demon lord is resurrecting the dead Espadas and only because of him that Shinigami has released you from that miserable state," Zommari answered him.
"Hmm, I see…" Szayel Aporro responded while calming himself down and then he looked towards Sesshomaru.
"Staying united and alive would be in the best interest of us for now," Noveno Espada muttered.
On the other hand, Mayuri Kurotsuchi said while narrowing his eyes on Sesshomaru, "It seems that we will have to do something about this demon otherwise he won't stop interfering in the issues of the Soul Society."
"Yes, Mayuri-Sama, I am ready for your command," Nemu replied in her usual polite and modest manner.
Now Sesshomaru got busy in detecting the location of the next Espadas he needed to revive while Szayel Aporro, Zommari, and Aaroniero Arruruerie were discussing the situation with each other. Suddenly the Octava Espada started to leave from there. "Wait, Szayel Aporro, where do you think you are going?" Zommari asked him. "You haven't realized it, do you? We are free now and the throne of Hueco Mundo is empty," Szayel Aporro replied with a mysterious smile on his lips. "What do you mean?" Aaroniero Arruruerie asked with slight confusion. "I am going to find Nnoitra, we need to take control of the Hueco Mundo before a new ruler arises," Szayel Aporro answered. "I think you are right," Noveno Espada muttered while agreeing with Szayel Aporro. "Later on, I shall research that demon's spiritual pressure," Szayel Aporro muttered with a cunning grin. "Hmm… I see," Zommari responded upon noticing the cunning intentions on the face of Octava Espada.
All of a sudden a hand grabbed the arm of Szayel Aporro and soon everyone realized that it was the arm of Mayuri Kurotsuchi, elongated from his wrist with the help of a strong and thick wire installed inside his body. The next moment, he stretched a blade from the location of his ear and threw it towards Aaroniero Arruruerie, stabbing his shoulder. While Zommari also fell in the grasp of Kurotsuchi's other elongated hand.
"What is this Kurotsuchi? Are you trying to die?" Sesshomaru said to him in a serious tone.
"Ye lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! On the wall of blue flame, inscribe a twin lotus. In the abyss of conflagration, wait at the far heavens… SOREN SOKATSUI!" Nemu's voice echoed in the sky as she generated blue energy with her index and middle fingers while coming down from the top.
She made a pushing motion with both of her palms to push the gathered energy toward the Espadas in a concentrated blast. Kurotsuchi pulled back both of his arms and blade right before the explosion.
Nemu landed beside her Captain and now both of them were waiting for Sesshomaru and the Espadas to come out of the cloud of dust and smoke which disappeared in the blink of an eye by the strong winds caused by the Daiyokai's raging spiritual pressure. "Why are you putting your subordinate's life in danger because of your mad actions?" Sesshomaru asked Mayuri while staring at him with his cold golden eyes.
Mayuri Kurotsuchi was too shocked to respond upon witnessing that such a powerful Hado merely got past the Daiyokai's spiritual pressure. "Should we blow them out of existence with our Cero, demon lord?" Zommari asked Sesshomaru. "I would have finished them off myself but because of my mission I want to give him one last chance," Sesshomaru responded to him.
"One day I will stuff him into a jar," Kurotsuchi grunted slowly with immense anger and frustration.
"Mayuri-Sama!" Nemu mumbled slowly upon looking at him.
The moment Sesshomaru and the other Espadas were about to leave, a powerful earthquake shook the entire region. There was a sudden change in the calm weather of Hueco Mundo as strong winds started to blow. Intense energy disturbances had also started in all the portions of Hueco Mundo. The ground of the Hueco Mundo started to rupture from several places leading to the white desert merging with the daylight portion and the Negal Ruins in some places.
Sesshomaru, Mayuri, Nemu, and all the three Espadas were quite shocked by this unexpected earthquake and all of them started to wonder about the reason behind it. "Are they normal here?" Sesshomaru asked them. "No… not at all, we have never recorded any natural earthquake in the history of Hueco Mundo," Nemu replied. "Looking at the devastation, I can say for sure that this is not caused by someone, either it is natural or something else," Szayel Aporro muttered. "It is certainly something else," Mayuri whispered to himself.
The earthquake stopped after a few minutes but before all of them could get normal, they got shaken by the presence of an immensely powerful spiritual pressure, and the next moment, a comparatively large humanoid creature with a demonic boar-like face appeared in the sky with a portal behind him resembling a red crack of energy. As he landed on the ground, an explosion of demonic energy took place which generated shockwaves powerful enough to shove all of them away.
When they returned to their senses, they witnessed that a big humanoid monster was standing only at a distance of a few meters away from them. He was around 12 feet tall and his head was exactly similar to that of a boar with two tusks protruding from either side of his lower jaw, pointing upwards. His face was covered with a leather mask and the rest of his body had a bluish hue with blue curved lines at some selective parts. He was wearing a short sleeveless jacket made up of animal skin and fur while the ribs and spines of some smaller demons were serving as his forearm bands. The portion below his waist was also covered by similar animal skin and fur along with leather knee-length boots, revealing the large ox-like nails of his feet while a thick iron chain was wrapped around his waist in the form of a belt. He was holding a giant elongated piece of stone in his right hand which was quite broad from the outer end while an iron chain and a piece of animal skin were wrapped around its narrower end, giving it an appearance like that of a club of stone-age.
"One… two… and three," that demon murmured in a heavy monstrous voice while pointing towards the Espadas as he scratched his skull with the other hand.
"Who the hell are you?" Szayel Aporro asked him in a frustrating manner.
"I am Gyuki, an infernal demon from the army of Lord… wait, there is no need to tell you anything, you all are just my prey, Ha Ha Ha…" Gyuki replied to him but refused to reveal further details.
"Infernal demon? He seems far more powerful than Sesshomaru moreover his demonic energy feels as if it is much purer than that of him… who actually is he?" Kurotsuchi mumbled to himself while wondering about Sesshomaru and Gyuki.
"Damn! He seemed nothing like this silver-haired demon," Aaroniero muttered, "we are in real trouble this time," Arruruerie added.
"Let me engage him in a battle since I am the only one here with the ability to heal and almost resurrect myself," Szayel Aporro said in a serious tone as he walked towards Gyuki in order to face him alone.
"Hahaha, I don't think you know what you're up against," Gyuki muttered while stepping ahead.
"Sip, Fornicaras!" Szayel Aporro uttered before he slowly swallowed his Zanpakuto.
Now Octava Espada's body swelled to enormous proportions while the release of his spirit energy covered his immediate vicinity in a fine mist but before he could have completed his release, Gyuki dropped his stone-club on the ground and grabbed him with his huge hands.
The next moment, Gyuki began to pump his demonic energy inside Szayel Aporro's body while tightly squeezing him between his huge palms. Gyuki's strong grip was badly pressurizing Octava Espada's swollen body while his demonic energy was slowly bombarding him from the inside out. As a result, his Resurreccion got suspended in the middle while he was continuously screaming in pain. Suddenly, Gyuki slammed him on the ground with immense force which turned his screams into silence.
"One down… two left," the Infernal Demon murmured in his heavy and monstrous voice while moving towards the other Espadas.
On the other hand, everyone was utterly terrified upon witnessing Gyuki's power and Szayel Aporro's wrecked state. All of them immediately decided to combine their power and face this infernal monster together as a team.
Sesshomaru took out his Bakusaiga and charged his spiritual pressure to make his attacks even more powerful while Nemu took her position away from them on Mayuri's command.
"Rip, Ashisogi Jizo!" Mayuri Kurotsuchi uttered as he released his Shikai.
Zommari and Aaroniero Arruruerie too didn't waste any moment and decided to unleash their Resurreccion.
"Suppress, Brujeria!" Zommari said slowly as he unleashed his Resurreccion form.
"Devour, Glotoneria!" Aaroniero Arruruerie muttered while releasing his Resurreccion.
Meanwhile, Gyuki was continuously building up his demonic energy and expanding his demonic aura to inflict more damage on the Espadas. His body had started to emit the flames of his demonic energy as he prepared for his next attack. Suddenly, he started to rush towards the Espadas like a mad bull in order to collide with them. Sesshomaru and Mayuri immediately moved out of Gyuki's path while Zommari also backed off to a safe distance. However, Aaroniero Arruruerie couldn't escape the danger in time as he got spiritually arrested by Gyuki's powerful spiritual pressure. Eventually, the infernal brute collided with the Espada's lower body with unbelievably great momentum. Since Aaroniero Arruruerie's lower half body was merely a giant mass of flesh composed of the collection of absorbed Hollows, it couldn't stand Gyuki's powerful strike and the next moment, Noveno Espada's entire lower body burst like a balloon. "Damn! It seems I used too much force this time." Gyuki muttered upon witnessing the consequences of his powerful attack in the form of Aaroniero Arruruerie's blood and pieces of flesh splattered all over the ground.
"Demon lord… Shinigami Captain… we have to combine our powers otherwise we will not survive this battle," Zommari said to both of them upon getting frightened by Gyuki's strength.
"Aaarrgh… I don't want to work with him but it seems that I have no other choice," Mayuri muttered while grinding his teeth frustratingly.
"Don't worry, this is the first and the last time we will ever work together," Sesshomaru spoke to him in a serious tone while keeping his focus on Gyuki.
"My Amor technique will not work against a demon of hell such as him," Zommari informed both of them.
"In fact, none of our techniques would be very effective against him," Mayuri Kurotsuchi responded.
After a pause when Gyuki arrived significantly close to them, Sesshomaru said while raising his spiritual pressure, "Let's put this to the test!"
"Hmm," Zommari responded and then he also started to raise his spiritual pressure.
"Don't try to give me orders…" Mayuri said to Sesshomaru frustratingly while staring at Gyuki but the next moment he also raised his spiritual pressure to a great extent.
"Azure Dragon Wave!" Sesshomaru uttered while shooting powerful waves of Demonic energy towards Gyuki.
"Raikoho!" Mayuri Kurotsuchi roared while firing a massive concentration of yellow energy towards Gyuki.
"Cero!" Zommari muttered as he shot his powerful Cero toward the infernal demon.
Soon enough the three energy waves hit the boar-headed infernal demon with a largely impactful force that engulfed a huge area around him in an immensely powerful explosion. The surroundings got filled with smoke and dust clouds while the flames started to burn all around the area where Gyuki fell on the ground upon collision.
After a few moments, his heavy and demonic voice echoed, "Wow! Now that was a good attack for weaklings such as you."
Sesshomaru, Mayuri, and Zommari were shocked to listen to his voice while the site of that monster coming out of the flame unscarred, shocked them even more. Now all three of them rushed towards Gyuki in the desperation of eliminating the threat.
Sesshomaru jumped towards him with a great speed to slash him with his Bakusaiga but a powerful blow from that demon's stone-club tossed him away in the air. On the other hand, Nemu approached him from the left in order to attack with her drilling arms but Gyuki grabbed her throat and started to crush her with sheer might.
"I have to save her… I do not want more of us to die," Zommari muttered, and the next moment he reverted to his Base form, "my ultimate technique is the only thing I have that can force him to leave her," he added, and then the next moment his Zanpakuto was levitating right in front of him. The blade of his sword bent from four places, making a diamond shape. Now Zommari started to concentrate all of his spirit energy on his Zanpakuto and the next moment an immensely powerful orb of Cero started to form at the heart of that diamond shape. Zommari's entire being was overflowing with immense spiritual pressure and he didn't waste even a single moment in attacking Gyuki with that powerful beam of Cero.
As expected, the Cero attack was indeed powerful enough to free Nemu from his grasp. However, it seemed that the damage was done as she was helplessly gasping upon getting freed.
"Tch!… Why did she act on her own with such foolishness," Mayuri mumbled with disappointment while looking at her.
Now Gyuki turned his attention towards Zommari and immediately arrested him using his superior demonic energy. "I have to do something… I..I can't lose this life so soon," the Septima Espada murmured while concentrating his entire spirit energy into his Zanpakuto to defend himself. "It seems Arrancars are nuts, they are trying to face me regardless of my superior power," the Infernal demon approached Zommari while mumbling to himself. The Septima Espada poured even the last ounce of his spirit energy in order to generate a powerful burst of Cero to shove Gyuki away from him while the demonic monster raised his spiritual pressure and then pumped his demonic energy into his stone club before smashing its uppermost edge against the ground with immense might. "Terra Fury!" Gyuki roared and then a terrible shockwave of destructive energy rushed towards Zommari.
The shockwave collided with the sudden burst of Zommari's overall spiritual power which was getting amplified and directed with the help of his Zanpakuto. To Gyuki's surprise, his shockwave seemed to be struggling against the powerful energy burst of the Septima Espada as both attacks were trying to deflect each other. However, this clash of energies didn't last much longer as soon Gyuki's Terra Fury shockwave deflected the entire burst of Zommari's energy and hit him before resulting in an immense explosion that shoved the Septima Espada far away from there. Now he was lying on the ground in an extremely miserable condition. He had sustained fatal injuries all over his body while his Zanpakuto had shattered to pieces as well.
"FOOL! Now that he has lost his Zanpakuto he is of no use to me," Gyuki spoke with frustration while observing him. Now he moved closer to Szayel Aporro, picked him up, and put him on his right shoulder. Soon his sight caught Aaroniero Arruruerie who was lying surrounded by the flesh of his body with her torso and glass capsule still unharmed.
"Hmm… he is still alive," Gyuki mumbled slowly.
"No, don't kill us," Aaroniero Arruruerie spoke.
"You are weak but your survival skills might be useful, my Lord will decide the best," Gyuki replied in a serious tone before he picked the Aaroniero Arruruerie's upper body from the ground to carry him in his left arm.
"You will leave Septima Espada behind?" Mayuri Kurotsuchi asked him curiously.
"Yes, he has lost his Zanpakuto, now he is of no use but I think I should kill the two of you before I leave," Gyuki answered and then he began to charge his demonic energy in order to attack them.
However, before the infernal demon could make any move, a Garganta opened right behind Sesshomaru and Mayuri.
"Lord Sesshomaru… come inside, quickly!" A familiar feminine reached the Daiyokai and it belonged to none other but Tia Halibel herself.
"Tia…" Sesshomaru whispered with a surprised expressions upon finding her normal once again.
Now both Mayuri and Sesshomaru entered the Garganta without wasting any moment. Mayuri elongated his arms quickly to pull Nemu and the Zanpakuto of Kaien Shiba inside the Garganta while Sesshomaru used his energy whip to save Zommari by pulling him inside. However, Gyuki started to run away towards them to collide with the Garganta itself while Halibel was trying to close it as soon as possible. Fortunately, the Garganta had closed by the time Gyuki could have reached it. However, its mouth was still present and thus Gyuki was slamming it repeatedly with his powerful strikes to reopen it.
"Who is that creature, Lord Sesshomaru?" Halibel asked him.
"Tia… you shouldn't have come here," Sesshomaru replied her.
"You two can gossip later but for now move away from the portal's mouth as soon as possible," Mayuri said to them in an irritated manner and suddenly he began to use his elongated hands to force-close the portal's mouth.
Within a few seconds, Garganta's mouth completely disappeared and now they were out of the reach of that infernal monster.
