The sun was beginning to set over the Potter family home, casting a warm glow across the spacious living room where James, Lily, Regulus, Sirius, Narcissa, Lucius, Harry, and Draco eagerly awaited the arrival of Hermione

James had decided to kill two birds with one stone when Hermione had sent him a letter saying she wanted to meet the rest of the family next week. He answers saying that if she felt more comfortable she could bring her parents, Jace and Theo. James was silently begging her to say yes because he needed to talk to Isabelle and Lorenzo.

"Okay everyone, since our guests will be here any time now," James exclaimed, making the buzzing die down. "Remember that Hermione prefers to be called Mia."

Lily chimed in, "Now, remember, boys, no pranks. We want this to be a pleasant evening." She cast a stern look at both Harry and Draco, who had a reputation for their mischievous antics.

Harry placed a hand dramatically over his heart and replied with mock solemnity, "Don't worry, Mum. We'll be on our best behavior."

Draco nodded in agreement, his gray eyes sparkling with mischief. "Absolutely, Godmother. No pranks tonight."

As the clock ticked closer to the agreed-upon meeting time, James's excitement was tinged with a hint of nervousness. Finally, the doorbell rang, and he couldn't hide his enthusiasm. With a wide grin, he rushed to the door.

"Hi, Mia! You made it." James was relieved to see her

Enzo, glancing at his daughter, noticed her nerves and decided to step in. "James, hi. We brought something." And extended a small bag towards James.

James appreciated the gesture and guided them towards the dining room. "That's great. Everyone's waiting in the living room. Come on in."

Mia, however, seemed rooted to the ground, her nerves evident in her anxious gaze. Jace and Theo exchanged glances, sensing her hesitation. James, noticing that Theo, Jace and his daughter weren't following, turned around.

"Is everything alright?"

Theo nodded, "You guys go ahead, we'll catch up in a bit."

James nodded and continued walking with Enzo and Izzy trailing behind. Once they were gone Theo leaned in toward Mia and asked gently, "What's wrong, Star?"

Mia's eyes met Theo's, and she swallowed hard. "I'm... I'm afraid, Teddy. This might be a bad idea."

Jace stepped closer and offered a reassuring smile. "Princess, it's perfectly normal to feel afraid. Everything is new for you, but we're here with you." He reached out and took her hand. "And I promise, I won't let go unless you want me to."

As Mia, Theo, and Jace entered the living room, Mia was overwhelmed by the number of people gathered there. She scanned the room, her eyes wide with apprehension.

Next to Lily, two tall men with striking black hair and gray eyes caught her attention. Mia assumed that the tallest one was Sirius, her father's best friend, but then her gaze shifted to the other man and she realized it was Regulus, her godfather. Her heart skipped a beat at the sight of him.

Sitting in an armchair was a blonde woman with piercing gray eyes, and standing next to her was a man with platinum hair and almost gray-blue eyes. Her eyes darted to the two boy who were looking at her intrigued, the blonde boy who stood beside the couple must be their son and the shorter, black haired boy must be Harry, her brother.

Suddenly, Jace's voice echoed angrily through the living room, breaking her out of her reverie. He glared at the blonde boy and pointed at him, his voice seething with anger. "You…"

Theo, realizing where Jace was looking, frowned and, as recognition dawned, snorted in disbelief, crossing his arms. "You've got to be fucking kidding me."

The adults in the room exchanged puzzled glances, not understanding the tension in the air. Izzy, who knew Jace well, recognized that he only acted this way when someone had hurt her daughter. Gently, she asked, "What's going on?"

Still glaring at the blonde boy, Jace explained, "Aunt Izzy, this is the idiot who pushed Mia at my grandmother's birthday party."

James, with mischievous eyes, directed his attention to his daughter. "So, you're the girl who called Draco a toerag? We'll done Mia!"

Mia blushed but stood her ground, emboldened. "Well, he deserved it because he didn't want to apologize."

Draco, feeling the withering look that Mia's father was giving him, quickly interjected, "I did apologize afterward, . I promise."

Clearing her throat to defuse the tension, Lily intervened. "Alright, now that we've got that sorted out, why don't we start with introductions?"

With introductions officially underway, the tall black-haired man, who had a friendly smile on his face, stepped forward. "I'm Sirius," he said warmly, extending his hand towards Mia. "And I'm your uncle."

Mia returned his smile, relieved to finally meet him. "Nice to meet you, Sirius."

Before Regulus could speak, Mia interrupted, her eyes lighting up with recognition. "I know you," she exclaimed.

Regulus smiled warmly, a hint of nostalgia in his eyes. "Indeed, you do," he confirmed. "I'm delighted to meet you again, Mia. I'm your godfather."

The blonde woman, Narcissa, rose from the couch gracefully and approached Mia. She spoke with elegance, "I'm Narcissa, and I'm your godmother."

The blonde man standing near Narcissa introduced himself as Lucius. "I'm also your uncle," he stated, extending his hand to Mia.

Mia nodded politely, acknowledging Lucius. "Nice to meet you, Lucius."

Draco, looking a bit nervous under the intense scrutiny, cleared his throat and introduced himself simply. "I'm Draco."

Harry chuckled at Draco's unease and grinned at Mia. "I'm Harry, your little brother."

Mia smiled back at Harry, grateful for his friendly demeanor. "Nice to meet you, Harry."

Mia then gestured towards her parents. "These are my parents," she said proudly. "My mom, Isabelle, and my dad, Lorenzo."

Mia released Jace's hand and positioned herself between Jace and Theo, who still couldn't hide their disapproval of Draco. She continued the introductions, saying, "The dark-haired young man to my left is Theo, and the blonde to my right is 're best friends"

Jace, unable to contain himself, directed a scathing remark at Draco. "Remember, Draco, Jace is only for friends. To you, it's Your Royal Highness."

Draco, his patience wearing thin, asked in frustration, "Is this some kind of joke?"

Theo, smiling mockingly, responded, "No. Jace is the heir to the Grimaldi, royal blood and therefore, it's Your Royal Highness. Same goes for Mia, mind you."

Isabelle, growing concerned about the escalating tension, looked at her husband, urging him to do something.

Lorenzo, still harboring anger towards Draco for pushing Mia, petulantly declared, "Blond boy there would do well to show respect to his superiors. He deserves it."

Isabelle rolled her eyes at the absurdity of the situation and turned to the bewildered adults in the room. "It's not true," she clarified, trying to defuse the awkwardness that had settled over the gathering.

"Sure is," Theo and Jace muttered.

Mia's gaze remained fixed on Regulus, her curiosity and eagerness apparent in her eyes. Regulus, noticing her intent stare, cocked his head to the side, as if silently inquiring what she wanted.

Finally, Mia broke the silence, her voice soft but determined. "Regulus, could I talk to you alone, please?"

Sirius couldn't help but feel a twinge of indignation. "After eleven years, Mia decides to choose Reggie over me," he mumbled, sulking as he settled into an armchair. "Life's not fair."

Regulus, a playful glint in his eyes, retorted, "It's not Mia's fault that she still has some excellent taste." Turning to Mia, he added with a warm smile, "I'd be delighted to talk to you, Mia."

Mia planted a gentle kiss on Jace and Theo's cheeks and told them, "Please behave, okay? This means a lot to me."

Theo and Jace nodded, assuring her, "We won't do anything. But we can't promise the same if the blonde does something that annoys us."

Mia chuckled at their protective nature and warned, "Don't go too hard on Draco. My brother seems to like him." With that, she headed outside to the Potter gardens with her godfather.

James, in the meantime, looked at Isabelle and Lorenzo. "There's something important I need to discuss with both of you," he said, his tone serious. Lorenzo and Isabelle nodded, following James to his study.

Left in the living room were Sirius, Lily, Narcissa, Lucius, and the boys. Lily decided to break the silence and suggested, "Narcissa, would you like to help me make some tea?"

Narcissa nodded, and the two women made their way to the kitchen, leaving the men to their own devices. Now, only Sirius, Lucius, and the boys remained in the living room, staring at each other in an awkward silence, unsure of what to do next.

Mia and Regulus walked in silence until they reached a peaceful bench next to a bubbling the silence, Mia turned to Regulus and said, "I'm really sorry about Evan. My mother told me that he and you were friends."

Regulus nodded, his expression somber. "We were, but it's complicated. I have mixed feelings because Evan was partly to blame for you not growing up with your parents."

Mia understood the complexity of the situation and said, "You know, you can grieve for the person Evan used to be, before he became a Death Eater. And in time, you might find it in your heart to forgive him for kidnapping me."

Regulus looked at Mia with a sense of wonder in his eyes. "You've grown into a very intelligent young woman."

Mia smiled at the compliment and asked, "Can you share some memories you have with me?"

Regulus smiled warmly, reminiscing. "I didn't meet you until you were about a year old."

Curious, Mia asked, "Why not?"

Regulus explained, "I was a Death Eater at the time, and I had to pretend to be loyal to Voldemort. I found out about you when I saw your name on the Black family tapestry. It's one of my fondest memories."

He continued, "You gave me a reason to fight for a better world, especially for you. I also gave you a rabbit, and you named him Artie when you were little."

Mia couldn't help but ask, "Why Artie?"

Regulus chuckled, "Well, Sirius told you that my middle name was Arcturus, but you couldn't pronounce it. So, you decided to call the rabbit Artie. Ever since you were little, you've referred to me as Uncle Artie."

Mia grinned at the cute memory and remarked, "Those sound like wonderful memories."

Regulus nodded, his eyes filled with warmth. "Indeed, you were a light for the whole family during the war. Your parents sacrificed two years of their lives by hiding from you to protect you."

Mia frowned, puzzled. "Why were my parents in hiding?"

Regulus explained, "A seer had prophesied that you were the one who could defeat Voldemort."

Mia scoffed, "Prophecies aren't reliable at all."

Regulus agreed, "That's what James thought as well, but Lily was terrified because you were only one year old."

Mia muttered, "I didn't know my parents had made so many sacrifices for me."

Regulus placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "Lily and James love you immensely. They would do anything for you, even die for you if needed. James especially had a hard time after your kidnapping."

Mia was surprised. "Did it really affect James that much?"

Regulus nodded solemnly. "To James, you are his princess, his heir, and the first female Potter in years when heirs are normally male. You being missing changed him. He became more serious and rarely joked like he used to. The first time I saw him smile like before was last week when they returned from visiting you at Villa Borghese."

In James's studio, tension hung thick in the air. He had just revealed to Isabelle that the Dark Mark had appeared in Hyde Park, accompanied by a black rose and an anonymous note. Isabelle looked at him, her expression a mix of confusion and concern.

"Why are you telling me this?" Isabelle asked, her voice tight. "Thoros already informed you that he had nothing to do with the roses."

James leaned forward, his gaze unwavering. "I believe someone close to Evan is trying to avenge his death," he said quietly, his jaw clenched. "And that someone doesn't seem to mind starting a new magical war."

Isabelle was distraught, her mind racing with possibilities. "Who could be capable of something like this?"

James sighed heavily, his worry evident. "I don't know, Isabelle. That's why I need your help. Did you notice anyone suspicious at the funeral? Or anyone you didn't recognize?"

Isabelle thought back to the funeral and the unfamiliar faces. "I didn't know anyone at the funeral," she admitted. "But there was a woman named Pandora Lovegood who told me she and Evan were friends. She mentioned that she, Regulus, Evan, and another boy named Barty had been friends at Hogwarts."

James nodded, taking note of the information. "Thank you for sharing that with me. We'll thoroughly investigate who might have been behind Evan's death. I promise you"

Just then, Lily entered the studio, breaking the intense atmosphere. "Tea's ready," she announced, her voice a welcome distraction.

James, Isabelle, and Lorenzo followed Lily to the living room, where the rest of the family was waiting. At one end of the table, Mia and James were seated, with Jace and Theo to Mia's right, and Harry and Draco to her left. Next to Draco were Narcissa and Lucius, and Lily sat to the right of James, leaving Sirius next to Lily and Regulus beside Theo.

Harry, his eyes filled with enthusiasm, turned to his older sister and asked, "Do you play Quidditch?"

Mia smiled at her younger brother and replied, "I'm a chaser for one of Durmstrang's teams."

Jace chimed in, adding proudly, "Mia is one of the best Quidditch players at Durmstrang."

Mia playfully swatted Jace's arm, protesting, "Don't listen to him, he's exaggerating."

Theo, wearing a mocking grin, teased her, "No need to be modest, Star. It doesn't suit you."

Jace nodded in agreement. "Yeah, he's right, princess."

Harry, looking intrigued, turned to his sister. "Could you teach me some things? Draco and I want to try out for the Slytherin and Gryffindor Quidditch teams this year."

Mia nodded, and with a mischievous glint in her eye, she got up and disappeared momentarily, only to reappear with three brooms in her hand.

Draco's eyes widened as he recognized the brooms. "Those are Firebolt Supremes!"

Jace smirking explained, "They were a gift from my father for making the team." He and Theo exchanged a triumphant fistbump under the table, noticing Draco's slightly annoyed expression.

Harry, eager to get started, looked at James and asked, "Dad, can we go out and have Mia teach us some techniques?"

Sirius, with childlike enthusiasm, added, "I want to play too!" He hurried off to fetch a broom

James, his curiosity piqued, nodded with enthusiasm. "I want to see how good my daughter is at playing."

Regulus suggested they have a friendly Quidditch match to make things more.

James, giving Lily a pleading look, begged, "Please, Lily, let us play."

Lily, seeing how the whole family had found a common interest, couldn't resist the excitement in the room. She smiled and gave her consent. "Yes, of course you can."James rewarded her with a loud kiss on the cheek before rushing out to the gardens with Sirius.

The teams had been decided, and the players were lined up and ready to start the friendly Quidditch match. On Mia's team were Jace, Theo, Regulus, and Mia herself. James had Sirius, Harry, Draco, and himself on his team.

As James' team discussed their strategy, Mia pulled her steele out of her pocket and motioned for Theo and Jace to come piqued, Regulus watched as his goddaughter began drawing strange symbols on her friends.

"What are those symbols, Mia?" Regulus inquired, leaning in for a closer look.

Mia looked up and explained, "They're runes of agility and speed."

Regulus raised an eyebrow. "I've never seen those runes and you don't really need those for a friendly match."

Mia chuckled, a mischievous glint in her eye. "I know James won't play fair, so I'm going all out."

Regulus laughed heartily. "If you had gone to Hogwarts, you would have been in Slytherin for sure."

Jace piped up, "Did you know that Mia scored a hundred points in under ten minutes during her tryout for the team?"

Regulus looked genuinely surprised. "That's impossible! Not even professional teams can achieve that."

Theo added, "Not all Quidditch players are like Mia. She's not only an incredible player but also comes up with the most brilliant plays for our team."

With a sly grin, Mia taunted James, "Are you prepared to bite the dust, James?"

James smirked back at her, his competitive spirit shining through. "You may be a legend in Durmstrang, but at Potter Manor, I'm the legend. I'll give you the Quaffle as a gesture of good will."

Mia chuckled mockingly, "Your first mistake." With that, she dramatically plummeted toward the ground, momentarily confusing James.

As James tried to regain his composure, Theo zoomed past him, taking Mia's pass. Sirius was hot on Mia's tail, ready to intercept, when Jace crossed in front of him making him swerve. Mia deftly handed the Quaffle to Jace, who shot upward, executing a corkscrew maneuver before launching himself toward the goalposts.

Harry, attempting to intercept the Quaffle, was just inches away when Theo swooped in and expertly smacked the Quaffle with the back of his broom. The Quaffle soared through the air and into the goal, scoring ten points.

"What the fuck was that?" Sirius shouted as he saw Mia's team regrouping.

"You want to continue or…?" Mia asked, smirking zooming past James.

"Oh, young lady, you're going to eat those words." James admonished her lightly.

Mia did not eat her words, it had been Quidditch match continued with an intensity that rivaled professional games. James and Sirius found themselves constantly thwarted by Mia, Jace, and Theo's agile maneuvers.

One play, in particular, had showcased the incredible trust Mia and Jace had in each other. They had executed a gravity-defying move, jumping onto each other's brooms as if they were trapeze artists. James couldn't help but worry for his daughter's safety and had immediately approached her.

However, Mia had only laughed joyously, her eyes sparkling with excitement as she continued to score point after point. Her extraordinary skills and unbreakable teamwork had James, Sirius, Harry, and Draco struggling to keep up.

"Give up already!" Theo hollered.

James, looking at his team, decided that a retreat on time was a victory. He was however incredibly proud of the amazing Quidditch player his daughter was. He watched with a mixture of jelousy and pride as his daughter and Jace celebrated their victory, circling the Quidditch field together in Jace's broom, their laughter filling the air. The sight of Mia's jubilant expression warmed his heart.

However, his contemplation was interrupted when he felt a presence beside him. Turning his head, he saw Theo flying close by, his attention also fixed on Mia and Jace. His eyes filled with a soft, fond expression.

Breaking the silence, Theo spoke, "She's incredible, isn't she?."

James nodded in agreement, a touch of fatherly pride in his voice. "Yes, she truly is. Are Mia and Jace dating?"

Theo, now very serious, replied, "No, their bond runs much deeper than that."

James furrowed his brow in confusion. "I don't understand. What do you mean?"

Theo hesitated for a moment before deciding to change the subject. "I wanted to thank you for how you treated Lorenzo and Isabelle."

James gave a small smile. "They're Mia's parents. If I want to have a relationship with her as a father, I have to be nice to them."

Theo nodded, "I don't like Aurors. They don't make me feel safe, and they never will. Mia and Jace are wary around them too. No matter how much people say last names don't matter, they do.

James expressed his concern, saying, "A boy as young as you shouldn't have to know what prejudice feels like."

Theo sighed and revealed the truth about Mia's past. "Jace, Mia, and I have experienced firsthand the prejudice people have against us because of our last names."

James was taken aback and asked, "What happened to Mia?"

Theo questioned James in return, "Do you know why Mia is such a skilled duelist and proficient in non-verbal spells?"

James admitted, "I assumed it was because she enjoyed studying and learning."

Theo explained, "Mia loves books, but that's not the reason. During her first year at Durmstrang, two boys bullied her, calling her 'death-eating scum' and saying she deserved to be in Azkaban. Jace and I tried to stop them, but it only got worse."

James was indignant. "What did she do? Did she tell the staff?"

Theo smiled wryly. "Mia challenged them to a duel."

James was taken aback. "Dueling is prohibited, especially for minors."

Theo mocked, "I'm sure Mia has already told you but in Durmstrang, things work differently. Dueling is a common way to resolve , Mia, and I faced twenty of our classmates and wewon."

James was still puzzled, "Why are you telling me this?"

Theo's violet eyes gleamed cold as he said, "I want you to realize that Mia doesn't need you. If she's let you into her life, it's because she wants you there, not because she needs you. She was already happy and safe before all of you came into the picture. Jace and I have made sure of that."

With that, Theo left James deep in thought, heading off to join Mia and Jace in their victory celebration.
