Chapter 4: Day 2

Agent BM: You got that right

The next day Honey was going over different things for them to do.

"Hey, what do you guys think about this?" she asked.

She showed them an add piece of the retreat, which was a diving expedition.

"I don't know, diving's not really my thing." Vanellope told.

"It could be fun." Honey tried to reason.

Zeke looked unsure, but Rancis looked hopeful.

"Come on, Nelly. This could be a fun activity." he told his wife.

"Where would we be diving anyway?" Vanellope asked.

Honey showed off the brochure, for the price of 600 credits they would dive around a sunken providence class dreadnought, which was one of Lucy's ships. And if they could recover any battle droids in the wreck they'd get the dive half off.

"One of my daughters' ships? Why would I want to dive around one of those when there's one orbiting this planet we can walk on."

"Come on Vanellope, it'll be fun. From the tone of your voice you sound scared."

Vanellope sheepishly looked away.

"Oh my gosh, you're scared to dive aren't you?"

"I know I've risked my life doing many things but I draw the line being surrounded by something I can't breath in, like diving or spacewalking."

"Now that doesn't sound like the Vanellope I know. The Vanellope I know is almost fearless and can do anything, not a whiner."

"Listen here, bumblebee, I'm not a whiner. I'll do this diving thing, no problem. Now if you excuse me, I gotta pee."

Vanellope excused herself to the restroom, and upon getting in the stall, she covered her face in her hands.

"Oh mod, what did I just agree to?" Vanellope asked herself.

Later that afternoon, the couples were dressed in their bathing suits down at the beach. An instructor was giving them instructions on how to dive, and where to find the sunken ship. After getting their masks, flippers, and oxygen tanks they were ready.

"Now be careful down there, and steer clear of any wildlife or any other dangerous looking objects." warned the instructor.

Zeke glanced over at Honey, and she caught his glare.

"What?" she asked.

"Nothing." he replied.

And then, they all plunged into the water.

Under the water, the four swam around and saw the different fish, other sea life, and other things. After swimming for a while, they found the wreck of the providence class. They swam to it, and looked around.

The ship had large holes in it, and quite a bit of age, most likely destroyed during the Lucy conflicts back in 2029. Vanellope looked at a picture of Lucy's crest painted on the side, now covered in coral and algae.

She felt sad seeing it. Rancis and Vanellope swam towards the large hangar bay while honey and Zeke swam towards the bridge up front. But unbeknownst to Zeke, Honey began swimming towards the observation tower at the back of the ship.

Feeling curious, she carefully looked at it, and then went in. As she looked around, she didn't notice that a shark was lurking around. After she saw what she wanted to, she started swimming back towards the others.

As the others were meeting back up they saw Honey swimming towards them, and the shark was coming up behind her. They looked shocked and scared. At first Honey was confused, but then she turned around, and saw the shark swimming towards them.

Scared, she swam as fast as she could, and the others hurried to the surface. The shark kept swimming towards them, wanting a meal. As Honey was swimming away, her flipper accidentally got caught on some coral.

She struggled to get free, and Zeke saw his wife in danger. He swam back to her, and quickly helped her. Once they got that her free, they swam as fast as they could to the surface. Luckily they managed to get away safely, and the shark gave up and swarm away.

Back on the surface, the four were breathing hard.

"You okay, Nelly?" Rancis asked concerned.

"Don't worry, I'm fine." Vanllope assured.

As Rancis put his arm around her, Vanellope felt the warmth and love of her husband. They went back to the shore using a different boat, and Honey and Zeke went back in another. However, neither of them felt warm and fuzzy.

"Honey what were you thinking?" Zeke snapped.

"What did I do?" Honey wanted to know.

"If you hadn't gone looking for trouble that shark would've never been after us."

"I wasn't looking for trouble."

"Well then what were you doing?"

"I was simply looking at a different part of the ship."

"Did you ever stop to think there could be dangerous animals around?"

"No, I..."

"See there you go being reckless again."

"I wasn't being reckless."

"Yes you were. You just jumped into something and didn't think it through."

The two began arguing, and didn't really listen to each other.

When they got back to their room, Zeke grabbed Honey's stuff, and put it outside.

"What do you think you're doing?" Honey demanded to know.

"Since you like taking risks so much, you can sleep somewhere else."

And with that, he slammed the door in her face. Honey was dumbfounded, her husband kicked her out? Feeling furious, she grabbed her stuff, and went to go sleep in the ship.

"I can't believe it." Honey huffed, as she left the hotel.

"Maybe this retreat was a bad idea."

Up in Vanellope and Rancis' room, were cuddling on the bed, watching TV.

"You know, I think this retreat was a good idea after all." said Rancis.

"My thoughts exactly, Rancis." Vanellope said, and she pecked him on cheek.
