The Cursed Key Ritual
Have you ever hated someone so much at one point in your life that all you wanted to do was put them through misery and pain? This is what Jet the Hawk is feeling at this point in time, as a celebrity that he knew throughout his childhood and into his early adulthood: that a celebrity he knew and met at one point caused a certain act that ruined their reputation and disillusioned everyone that the celebrity had known. The celebrity's family, friends, and fans are now considering them to be a pariah. Especially Jet the Hawk, who has far more hatred for the celebrity than anyone else on the face of Planet Earth.
This is when the ritual he's about to perform comes into play. This curse was used on Japanese spies that had gone rogue in the ages of the Samurai and is still used by secret organizations today as a form of unsuspecting torture. The target will be plagued by misfortune, which could range from minor injuries all the way to deadly situations that are unescapable. This curse was also used by the Indians after the technique was discovered in the late 1800s.
Knowing such a ritual to inflict a curse of this nature, Jet the Hawk knows not to speak about what he would do to this fallen celebrity. Otherwise, the curse will have the opposite effect on what he's looking for. This happens for reasons unknown since its creation was originally used for wooden keys of that era but was modified by the aforementioned secret organizations in the late 1900s to effect metal keys.
To begin this ritual and to inflict the curse, Jet will need one of the celebrity's keys. He must make sure that it's not a key of importance, since keys of importance are easily missed by owners. Jet would've even had a hard time getting close to the celebrity's keyring, if not for the celebrity putting said keyring on their drawer after he snuck into their house. After Jet requires this, he will need the following:
Ash of a burnt-down tree log or stick to capture a spirit; a silver container to make sure that the spirit doesn't escape while it is captured; a knife or sharp object to anger the spirit by stabbing it while captured; rice to make sure that the spirit's power becomes stronger and does more harm to the celebrity; a pen and piece of paper to make sure the spirit hits the right target; salt as a precaution to pour around the silver container. So, if the spirit escapes both the ash and the silver container, the salt will provide Jet with enough time to complete the ritual, if the spirit itself is a very strong one. And finally, water to lay the container in. Maybe inside a sink or somewhere else, just as long as Jet can retrieve it again in a short period of time.
Once Jet has all of the materials necessary for this ritual to work, he will begin the ritual by pouring the ash into the silver container and pouring the salt around the silver container, acting as three titanium walls blocking the spirit trying to attack Jet. Jet would place the key inside the ash slowly, as he would then chant to the spirit fifteen times.
"I've got a treat for you..."
After five minutes passed, Jet would take his knife and stab the ash, which is now the spirit's body, eight times, angering it and making it stronger. At this point, Jet would pour the rice into the silver container, as this would cause the curse effects to become much stronger. After pouring the rice, the spirit will be back in the container if it could or even tried to escape both the ash and the silver container. Jet would write the celebrity's name on a piece of paper and drop it into the silver container. Jet would then go to the sink and use it to let the container soak for 30 minutes, so Jet can give the spirit time to make the key it's home.
After half an hour had passed, Jet would take the key out slowly and return it to where he found it, which in this case was the celebrity's house in the living room. Jet was warned, though, that once the celebrity has died, the spirit will come for him next. So Jet would be forced to cover all openings of his house with salt; otherwise, Jet would see the same key appear in his house, offering him the same fate.
Jet has already done this as he watched the news of the fallen celebrity's mysterious death, and knows that no one will know what caused the fallen celebrity's death, for he caused an elaborate ritual to kill the celebrity. Having covered all the openings in his house with Salt, Jet will rest easy, even if the spirit relentlessly tries to offer him the same fate as the fallen celebrity...
