After rescuing Rukia and Ichika from the Jigoku, they were both told about what's going on. All of them regrouped at Urahara Shop and was informing each other about what's been going on.
"She's your daughter from another dimension?!" Rukia said. "That's unbelievable. You sure you and Orihime just didn't have a thing before you were married."
"What?!" Ichigo said. "Rukia, in order for Orihime and I to have a daughter about her age, she would have been born even before I met you."
"Still, it's hard to imagine that someone from another dimension is here." Rukia said. "If it's really because of those crystals disrupting the balance, who knows what else could come from where."
"Well, you can relax." Kalia said. "So far, I seem to be the only thing that crossed over. Still, this is rather weird for me. In my world, you gave birth to a son named Ryo, not a daughter. Also, you aren't a captain. You retired from being a soul reaper to focus on being a mother. In fact, the only captains from my dimension you guys might know about it Toshiro and Kenpachi."
"You mean that not even Byakuya is a captain anymore in your world? Weird." Ichigo said. "Speaking of which, how is everyone doing back at the Seireitei, Rukia?"
"Not good." Rukia said. "Our resources are dropping because of those crystals. We manage to destroy them, and the Department of Research and Development are working to neutralize them, but more keep showing up each time we take one down. Even some of the captains and lieutenants have lost some power because of those things."
"This is becoming a serious situation." Kisuke said. "I'm afraid the situation is becoming a little more grim." All of them paid attention to him because they couldn't imagine how the news could get any worse. "Those crystals are starting to appear in our world as well. In fact, it's not just happening here in Japan. Those crystals are appearing all over the world."
"All over the world?!" Uryu said as they can't believe this is happening. "How can they seem to have what appears to be an infinite supply? Just what are these crystals?"
"I'm not sure, but I'm still analyzing the shards we have." Kisuke said. "These Jigoku are methodical and cunning, but we'll figure this out. In the meantime, we'll just have to keep trying to destroy all the crystals that we can." So he claims, but it almost seems hopeless to destroy all the crystals. "I do have a bit of good news for you, Kalia."
"What is it?" Kalia questioned.
"Studying those crystals has helped me with our other little project. I'm actually close to getting a portal working that could take you back home." Kisuke said. That actually did sound like good news to them.
"Really? I could go home soon?" Kalia questioned.
"That's great, Kalia. You'll be able to go home soon." Orihime said as she sounded happy for her.
"Yeah..." Kalia said, but she doesn't sound as excited as she should be. "Excuse me. I'm going to step out for some air." She said as she excused herself and left the room. All of them were a little worried about it, but Uryu was thinking of something else about her. Kalia stepped outside and had a lot on her mind. Just as she went outside, a ball was passed to her. "Huh?"
"Throw it, Kalia!" Kazui called as she looked ahead and saw him and Ichika.
"How can you two play at a time like this?" Kalia said.
"That's what I told him." Ichika said.
"Aren't you always suppose to look for the white line in life?" Kazui asked.
"It's the silver lining, but I get what you mean." Kalia said as she lifted the ball and threw it over with the kids chasing after it. Seeing this did bring a smile to Kalia's face. Maybe Kazui has the right idea to try and find the silver lining, the bright side, of a situation.
"You seem to be enjoying yourself, but don't you want to go home?" Kalia heard a feminine voice talking to her. "How long are you planning to stay in this world? You could be home right now. Interested?" She looked around for where that voice was coming from and saw the shadow of someone next to the building, but couldn't see who it was.
"Who are you?" Kalia questioned.
"Follow me, soul reaper." She said before the shadow retracted. Kalia had to know what that was about, so she chased after whoever that was. When she rounded the corner, she lost whoever that was. However, she did see whoever it was moving away from the building.
"Wait!" Kalia called as she quickly changed into a soul reaper. She chased after whoever it was that was talking to her. It was easier than she thought because she could feel someone's spiritual pressure. 'Who was that? How did she know about me? She knew I was a soul reaper, but also knew I was from another world. On top of that, she's also giving off an abnormal spiritual pressure. This is weird, but can I really get home?' The opportunity sounded too good for her to pass. She had to see if this was real.
"Down here!" She heard the voice call from down below. Kalia landed down and looked for where that mysterious person was until she spotted her shadow sticking out from an alleyway. Kalia knew to be cautious, but she had to see if she really knew of a way that could get Kalia home.
"Who are you?" Kalia questioned.
"You want to go home, don't you?" The girl questioned with Kalia not sure how to answer that. "Right now, you are running around on a pointless chase in a world that has nothing to do with you, a fight that isn't even yours. How can you be so sure you'll find a way home with those soul reapers?"
"And what makes you think I can with you? How do you know all of this?" Kalia questioned.
"Come here, and I'll show you what I'm talking about." The girl said. Kalia was a little reluctant to take the offer, but she does want to return home. Just as she took a couple steps, she was able to see the mysterious figure's reflection in a window. He could see who it was...and she knew her. She also looked like she was getting ready to strike Kalia down with her weapon.
"Wait a minute. You're..." Kalia said as she knew who that was.
"Kalia, don't! She's an enemy!" Kalia turned around and saw Uryu found her in time.
"Uryu? How did you find me?" Kalia questioned.
"Kazui and Ichika told us you just disappeared. We all came looking for you." Uryu said. "Kalia, don't listen to a thing she says."
"How do you know my offer isn't for real?" She asked. Kalia just stood there and didn't do anything. Uryu was a little worried Kalia might actually take the offer and they could lose their only chance.
"I've had enough of your games...Nova Hugada!" Kalia called as she took her zanpakuto and tried to attack her from around the corner, but Nova jumped away from her. "You're not getting away from me!"
"How do you even know me?" Nova questioned.
"I remember you from my world." Kalia said. "You're the same here as you were in my world. You keep using rotten tricks. I've just about had it!" Kalia made another attempt to fight Kalia, but Nova jumped back and pulled out a sword, but she threw it and it stretched out so it would be used like a whip. She threw it at Kalia, but Kalia easily deflected it.
"Kalia, are you okay?" Uryu asked as he came around.
"I will be when I get my hands on her. As much as I want to go home, I want to stay and help as well. The fact that you tried to take that desire of mine for you own advantage really irritates me. You're not getting away from me, Nova!" Kalia said as she went at her once more, but Nova jumped up and avoided her. She jumped and used the buildings to make her way up. "Get back here!" Kalia called as she went after her. When Nova reached the top of the building, she tried using her whip against Kalia, but Kalia kept blocking each of her attacks. Kalia tried attacking her directly, but Nova avoided her attack again. "You can't keep running from me!"
"I'm not!" Nova said as she she had her sword reform and tried to attack Kalia directly with it, but Kalia was able to block it as Nova tried to push down on her.
"Trying to trick me with that little offer of yours? That was really low." Kalia said.
"How do you know my offer was fake? We actually could return you to your world. That is providing you stand down or work with us." Nova said. "If our crystals really were the reason for you being here, they might be the answer to get you back. We actually could help you."
"Like I would ever trust, let alone go for help, from the likes of Oromaus or any of you guys!" Kalia shouted as she pushed back and caused Nova to slide to the edge of the roof. "Back in my world, you tricked my own little brother with a false promise of see our father again even though you had no intention of ever keeping your word. You did that to try and get to me."
"What's your point? What matters is that I get threats like you out of the way!" Nova said. Nova tried throwing her whip at Kalia again, but Kalia was able to block it and then held her sword up to her.
"Face it! You just don't have what it takes to beat me!" Kalia said. She wanted so much to finish her right now, but Kalia held herself back. "Start talking, Nova. Why are you and the Jigoku stealing spirit energy from both the Soul Society and the World of the Living? Just what do you plan on using all that energy for? What is Oromaus after with all of this?"
"You're even stupider than I thought if you think I'm actually going to tell you our plans." Nova said as she didn't care that she was standing near an edge with a blade near her face.
"What about the crystals?" Kalia questioned. "How do you have so many crystals? Where the hell did they even come from?" Nova still remained silent. "Let's try this instead. Tell me where Oromaus is hiding so I can end him. Is your hideout in the World of the Living or in the Soul Society?"
"Let me rephrase what I just said. You're even more stupider than I thought if you think I'm going to tell you anything about us!" Nova said as she kept trying to fight back. She used her sword and tried pushing Kalia's weapon out of the way. When she had an opening, she tried stabbing Kalia, but Kalia was able to evade her attack and literally kicked Nova off the building. Kalia checked to see what happened to her, but she saw Nova already disappeared.
"Damn her." Kalia said as she really hated her. Oromaus might be the one member of the Jigoku she hates the most, but Nova is a close second. Nova thought she could trick her with a fake offer to return home, but she underestimated how dedicated Kalia can be.
...
The Jigoku
"Ha! You're so pathetic!" Masco called once Nova came back and the member of the Jigoku were together again. "You couldn't do anything against her? I had her on the ropes."
"At least I didn't get outdone by a brat." Nova countered.
"All of you be quiet. Show some respect when you're around Lord Oromaus." Tetsuda said.
"Calm yourself, Tetsuda." Oromaus said as he sat his own throne chair. "Let them blow off some steam. We certainly are dealing with an interesting opponent." He said as he looked over some footage he managed to gained. "We certainly have an interesting foe with this young girl."
"Her bankai will be a challenge as well. She moves with incredible speed." Omada claimed. "She will also try to destroy our crystals. Despite how many we have placed in both worlds, she won't stop until she tries to destroy each one."
"And she will fail." Kislin said. "We have far too many. It's going to take more than one soul reaper to stop the likes of us."
"That might be, but our enemy is not one to underestimate. Kisuke Urahara and the Department of Research and Development will surely find some way to counter our tactics." Oromaus said. "Amador, what about our little project that you volunteered for?" Oromaus turned to the last member of the Jigoku, a masked figure that stepped forward. All Oromaus did was look at him and it seemed that Oromaus could read his mind. It was like you knew what he was saying without him saying anything. "I see... Still needs some work, but they'll be in for a surprise."
"Oromaus, we must do something about this soul reaper named Kalia." Nova said. "The fact that this girl is immune to our crystals is a real problem. I'm worried if we leave her alone for too long, she will be a real threat to us. She does know about us from the time she encountered her dimension's versions of us."
"That won't be a problem." Kislin said as he stepped forward. "I will be the one that takes care of. I'm looking for a little action, and I know just what to do to get her to come to me."
"You sound confident for a clown." Masco said.
"As he should. Very well, Kislin. I'll give you a chance. It will give you the opportunity to finish what you started, as well as redeem yourself." Oromaus said.
"No worries." Kislin said. "It will be a show that no one will forget." Clowns are suppose to be entertaining, but some think they're can be quite frightening. That seems to be Kislin. Even though the smirk on his face is just part of his mask, you can see how evil he is.
