The Kettou Clan consists of people who channel their Chakra to summon monsters from their spirit. Like the animal summons, these monsters will fight alongside their summoner. You are an expert when you can summon five monsters at once.

Merely summoning the maximum number is not the only path to strength. Within every member lies the potential to combine their monsters into more powerful beings. Some can even produce multiple versions of these more powerful monsters.

Naturally, as a clan, all members share genetic traits, wear the clan colors, and adorn the clan's symbol. Their eyes and hair are dark purple while their clan's colors are lavender and gold. Their clan's symbol is a dark brown rectangle with a black oval in the center.

This clan lives within the Land of Fire but does not belong to Konoha since they prefer their independence. That said, the clan does maintain strong ties with Konoha through treaties of alliance, trade, and marriage. Today, they lead lives as a strong, prosperous clan.

Do note the clan has its secrets like any other, so information in here might not be the end.

Kettou Clan Land(KCL), Night…

The Kettou Clan inhabits a land nestled within a large clearing. There were traditional wooden homes, stores, and other such locations with the clan's symbol proudly displayed around the community. Typically, this area was tranquil, but tonight was an exception.

All throughout the community, there were horrified screams, metal clanging, monsters fighting, and Ninjutsu being launched everywhere. Amongst all this chaos, two members of the clan were running. They were a man and his daughter who was holding a baby.

The man was Daichi Kettou who had the build of a runner and a scar over his left eye. He had short purple hair and matching eyes with an athletic build. His attire consisted of a lavender shirt, golden vest, lavender pants, and lavender & gold boots.

The daughter was Sora Kettou who had long, purple hair in a pony tail with matching eyes. She wore a lavender short-sleeved jacket with a matching skirt and a golden undershirt with matching shoes. The baby in her arms, Jin Kettou, was currently wrapped in a lavender and gold blanket.

Both the older man and younger daughter had managed to keep the baby unharmed as they ran through the village. Everything going on around him had Jin crying. He didn't understand what was happening, things were too noisy, and he had been sleeping not long before this.

Sora was doing her best to comfort her younger brother while she looked at her father. "Dad, who is attacking!?"

"No one knows who they are, but there are seven of them wearing matching black cloaks with red clouds." Daichi responded. "Six of them have orange hair and purple eyes with a rippling pattern. The seventh has our features and swarmed the village with powerful samurai monsters."

Suddenly, Daichi looked back as an orange haired man with the purple, rippling eyes rounded the corner.

Thinking quickly, Daichi stopped and wove through hand signs while taking a deep breath. "Fire Style: Great Fireball Jutsu!"

A massive fireball tore down the street at the orange haired man, but it quickly dissipated revealing that the man had risen a single hand.

"Did he just absorb my Jutsu!?" Daichi thought.

He couldn't dwell on it for long as the man started running towards them once more. Daichi immediately ushered his daughter to keep running, but not before noticing an imposing, red armored samurai monster leap onto a roof.

"We're being closed in on." Daichi thought in shock. "Between that powerful monster and someone who can absorb Ninjutsu, we're not making it out of this alive by simply running."

Sora figured this out as well resulting in her attempting to think of a way out of this. She wasn't coming up with much between running and attempting to calm her brother. The father had an idea.

Daichi grit his teeth. "Sora, keep running and don't stop until you're both safe!"

This confused the daughter causing her to turn and see that her father had come to a stop.

He had also completed another set of hand signs and slammed a hand into the ground. "Earth Style: Mud Wall!" He then radiated Chakra. "I summon: Shiranui Samuraisaga!"

From within his body, a male warrior in red robes appeared before leaping up to the roof where he'd confront the other samurai. After that, Daichi locked eyes with his daughter for a mere second before vanishing from sight.

At first, Sora's body moved to save him. Then, the sound of her father giving a battle cry snapped her out of it. She couldn't risk Jin and waste this chance he was giving them. Sora turned away from the mud wall and towards the nearest exit out of the village.

"Besides, dad is one of the clan's strongest." Sora began sprinting away. "If anyone can survive, it's him."

She infused Chakra into her legs and blitzed towards the tree line. Even then, she kept running heading for the safest place that came to mind, Konoha.

Konoha Gates: Next Day, Morning…

Sora finally made it to the gate, and upon noticing two Konoha Shinobi were guarding the gate, she collapsed onto her back while managing to ensure Jin wouldn't be harmed. At this point, Sora didn't have much say in remaining awake since she'd run at full speed all night.

The two Shinobi were shocked, but before they could act in a way they normally would with a stranger, the pair noticed the symbol on her clothing and Jin's blanket. This got the pair rushing to the woman with one of them grabbing Sora and Jin.

"Go report this to Lord Third while I get these two to the hospital."

"Understood."

They did not recognize Sora, but the symbol was unmistakable. Given her current state, they were worried what this could mean, especially with Lord Forth's passing just two days prior.

Hospital: Mere Minutes Later…

The Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, immediately set off for the hospital the second he heard a Kettou Clan member showed up injured at the gate of the village. He had gray, spiked hair and a gaunt face with wrinkles. He wore the robes of the Hokage with the matching hat.

Hiruzen got the room where the brother and sister pair were taken and was greeted by a Medical Shinobi. "What's the status of the two new arrivals?"

"Our most experienced staff were brought in to ensure their health, Lord Third. Beforehand, I checked them over. The woman was involved in some kind of battle. She was also fatigued and drained of Chakra. The boy is fine for the most part, but he could use a feeding."

"Given our treaties with the Kettou Clan, gathering information on just what happened should be done diplomatically." Hiruzen reasoned. "A gentle touch to this whole situation."

Sora's Hospital Room: Next Morning…

Sora woke up unable to recall what happened, yet remembering she at least had her baby brother. As such, she began frantically looking for him before locking eyes with an old man holding him. He seemed like someone she'd heard of, but such thoughts were forced to the back of her mind.

All Sora cared about in the moment was the fact that this old man had her brother, so she immediately sprang to her feet preparing to leap. For his part, the third moved his free arm to the side preparing to defend himself and the boy just in case he couldn't explain in time.

Before Sora could make another move, Anbu emerged from the shadows taking Sora down and pinning her to the ground. One of them even applied a kunai to her throat. Sora gritted her teeth and prepared to call on one of her own monsters.

"Anbu, get off her and leave the room." Hiruzen ordered.

His words stopped Sora from acting as one full minute passed. At this time, the Anbu relented and did as the Hokage ordered.

"I am sorry, but they are part of being the Hokage." Hiruzen stated while helping the girl up.

Despite now being able to recall that this man matched the description of Konoha's Hokage, Sora's gaze was firmly on Jin.

"My brother." Sora stated.

"The poor girl was disoriented, so it now makes complete sense why she went for me." Hiruzen nodded in understanding. "I hadn't really considered what this would look like. Your baby brother here was crying, so I gave him a bit of fuss."

Sora sighed in relief before checking to ensure her brother was fine. "I'm sorry, but I had a long night." Suddenly, everything came rushing back to her resulting in tears forming within her eyes. "Has anyone else from the clan made their way to the village?"

"The only Kettou members we've seen recently are you two." Hiruzen commented. "Why?"

Hearing that no other members had arrived made sora Break down and mumble, "It can't be true. Dad wouldn't have died. He couldn't have."

Hiruzen grabbed her attention by giving a slight shake. "What happened?"

"Our land was attacked by one of our own and six others." Sora began. "They were all wearing black cloaks with red clouds on them. They showed no one any mercy. Children, adults, farmers, and warriors alike were all cut down.

"I don't know if anyone else survived." She looked at the Hokage desperately. "Please, send people to see if anyone survived. See if my dad, Daichi, is alive. You can even make it a mission and name any price you wish. I just…I need to know."

"The village is weak after the loss of Minato, so I normally wouldn't think of doing something like this. If there really is a group out there strong enough to kill off the Kettou Clan in one night…" Hiruzen shook his head. "There will be no need for payment.

This is something that needs to be investigated for the village's own safety." He gave a signal, and an Anbu appeared kneeling before him. "Gather two Anbu and head for the Kettou Clan's Land. Locate any survivors and see what evidence you can find on what happened."

The man nodded before departing the hospital room.

Konoha Gate: Later…

A tall, well-built man with fair skin came to the gates of Konoha. He also had waist-length; spiky white hair tied back in a pony tail. He wore a short green shirt kimono and matching pants, under which he wore mesh armor that is visible at his wrists and ankles. This was Jiraiya.

"I finally made it." Jiraiya walked in to give the men at the gates a good look at him before immediately taking off for the tower. "Minato…Kushina…knowing you two, Naruto just has to be alive."

At least, he hopped his god son was alive. The report he got on the Ninetales attack had left out Naruto's fate. Since he couldn't be here when Minato and Kushina needed him, he would be there now to fulfill the role they'd given him.

Hokage Office

Hiruzen was currently in a meeting with Koharu, Homura, and Danzo going over everything concerning the Ninetales attack and arrival of the Kettou members. As far as the latter was concerned, they'd discussed them, and were just now getting around to Naruto.

Koharu had dark eyes, and her hair was pulled back in a twin bun locked by a hair pin with two pearls dangling off the side. She wore a simple, long kimono, closed by an obi, and a jacket over it. Homura has grey hair, a beard, glasses, and sported a constant frown.

He wore something like Hiruzen's garbs though obviously with nothing that would denote him as the Hokage. Danzo has black, shaggy hair, dark eyes, and an x-shaped scar on his chin. He wore a white shirt, with a black robe over the top covering from his feet to just over his right shoulder.

This is the scene Jiraiya saw as he stormed into the room. "Sarutobi, I was told you'd be in here. I've read the report, but it said nothing on Naruto. What happened to him?"

"Jiraiya, I am sorry." Sarutobi apologized. "In my haste to inform you of the attack, I left out such a key detail." He nodded solemnly. "Minato and Kushina defended their son from the Ninetales before sealing him within Naruto shortly before both passed."

That was a lot of information to take in but take it in Jiraiya did as he instantly concocted a plan. Even if his sensei managed to make these matters quiet, information had its way of getting out. That meant, even if he didn't want to speak as he was, it was the only path forward now.

Jiraiya gave his sensei a wink knowing his old sensei would now play along. "Council, I don't know if you've decided on what to do with the new Jinchuriki, but it's now an asset that should be utilized like one. It doesn't need the luxuries afforded by a village.

I mean, just look at how well that worked out for Kushina. Based on what I've pieced together, she was too weak to even defend herself after giving birth to Naruto. Any real Jinchuriki would have been more capable in her place."

"What are you saying Jiraiya?" Koharu asked.

"I'm saying you should entrust the new Jinchuriki to me just as Minato and Kushina wanted. I'll mold him into a Jinchuriki like what the other nations have. With him out of the village, and in capable hands, you can all focus on getting Konoha back on its feet easier."

Hiruzen understood what Jiraiya was doing, he was his student after all, while the other advisors didn't know him as well. Even if they did have their doubts about how he was talking, it was outweighed by the opportunity presented.

The Jinchuriki would be on the move meaning he couldn't cause civil unrest at the village. Having a Jinchuriki molded by one of their strongest only made what Jiraiya proposed all the sweeter.

"If we're talking about turning the Jinchuriki into a weapon, he should be given to me." Danzo thought. "I can't make a counter claim without revealing Root, in its entirety, to make a true counter here. While Sarutobi already knows so much, he isn't aware of everything."

"I believe Jiraiya has presented a perfect solution to our present problem." Sarutobi declared. "Unless any of you have your reservations, I believe it is one we should go with."

As reluctant as he was, even Danzo had to agree with this course of action Jiraiya presented. As such, none of the three advisors raised any reservations. This meant Naruto would be leaving with Jiraiya that very day.

While he had his spy network, the sage knew he could count on the inhabitants of Mt. Myoboku, with a few shadow clones, to watch the boy should he be anywhere dangerous to be. Given the whole spiel he just laid out wasn't the truth, he could provide the childhood Naruto deserved.

Kettou Clan Land, 3 Days Later Night…

The three-man Anbu team arrived and scouted every inch of the village from a distance to make sure it was safe. Once they determined it was, the team entered. They did a thorough sweep collecting anything of value, disposing of most of the dead, and sealing away others.

Within one of the buildings, they found a hidden entrance that led to stairs heading down. Upon discovering this, they could hear what sounded like crying. The Anbu headed down and entered a small room where they discovered a baby bearing the traits of the Kettou clan.

The Anbu took them before heading back to Konoha. Before returning to Hiruzen, they would make a stop to drop the baby and dead off with Danzo before reporting to the Hokage. While they gave him all the information they'd acquired, they'd leave out what they had prior.

Konoha: Hospital, Sora's Hospital Room…

Hiruzen returned to the hospital room where Sora resided and filled her in.

"My Anbu returned and detailed that there were no survivors. They also found no evidence of any nation being behind this, or any orders that would lead to someone wanting this. We also don't quite know if you two are all that's left of the Kettou Clan.

Hearing this, Sora could only cry once more. This time, Hiruzen comforted her since he now knew everything, she told him was the truth. After crying for a few minutes, Jin ended up managing to reach up and pull her hair slightly.

Upon looking at his face, Sora couldn't help but see the similarities he had to their father which made her smile slightly. "We still have each other." She took a deep breath before looking at Hiruzen. "Lord Third, thank you for sending your men to check on this for me."

After a moment of silence, Hiruzen spoke up. "Despite not wanting this to be the case, I had already conferred with the council about the possibility. Given everything, you and your brother will be welcome in the Konoha. For a short while, enough time to get you on your feet, I can provide accommodations and support."

"You would give us that?" Sora asked.

"Of course." Hiruzen nodded. "The Kettou Clan and Leaf are allies at the end of the day, and to us it is important we help our allies when possible."

Sora was deeply touched by his kindness and bowed her head. "Thank you, Lord Third."

Kettou Residence: Month's Later…

Sora had been given a rather nice apartment with two bedrooms. It wasn't as large as the home she once knew, but the Kettou member was not ungrateful. Honestly, it was better than she'd been expecting. As Sora began to settle herself and Jin in, she felt they were being watched.

Even though she couldn't see them, the Kettou member knew it had to be the Anbu which Hiruzen warned her would be watching. It was only to be expected. Eventually, Sora realized she'd need to start job hunting or look for a cheaper place to live.

The money the Hokage could afford to send their way was mostly used paying rent. Upon looking into cheaper places, nothing seemed fit for a baby. The apartment they had was the best deal if she wanted her brother to grow up in something clean.

While she could go the route of being a Shinobi, it would pay well, she didn't know anyone in the village well enough to entrust them with Jin. Ultimately, she settled on attempting to find work in the one job she could do beyond Shinobi work. That was being a chief.

Ichiraku Ramen: Night…

Sora carried Jin in a basket that she'd made as comfy as possible, and the boy was currently sleeping peacefully which was the only bright spot to an otherwise fruitless day of searching for a job. Lately, Jin was the only good part of any day ever since she started job hunting.

She reasoned that her youth, the fact that she was an outsider, and needing to care for Jin being the reason no one was even thinking of giving her a shot. Sora sighed forlornly as she made her way along the street and ultimately needed to have a seat somewhere.

She eventually ended up coming across a stand called Ichiraku Ramen. At this point, she only hoped the prices were fair, so she could have a little something to eat as well as rest. She entered the stand and took a seat with a tired sigh as she gently set Jin's basket by her side.

"Why, hello there." A friendly voice greeted. "What can I get you?"

Sora looked up at an older man with squinted eyes, Teuchi, who was wearing a ramen chefs' uniform. "Could I just get the cheapest Ramen you have on the menu?"

"Sure thing." Teuchi stated before moving to prepare her order. "If you don't mind me asking, you seem kind of down. Would you like to talk about it?"

"For the past few days, I've been looking for a job, but I'm rejected everywhere I go." Sora sighed. "To them, I'm an outsider, the hours I need to work don't work for them, and/or I'm too young.

I'd love to be more flexible, but I need to take care of Jin. I'm the only one who can because anyone I used to know in the village is gone now. Given I get the sense that no one really trusts me, I can't really entrust my brother with anyone else."

"Well, that does sound like quite the pickle." Teuchi declared as he turned around and presented her with a bowl of ramen.

Sora looked down at it expecting to see a bowl of broth and noodles only to see that this was more like a bowl of deluxe ramen. "Sir, I think you made a mistake."

"No, that bowl is right." Teuchi gave her a sincere smile. "Especially since someone who will work here should sample some of Ichiraku's best."

Sora looked at the man thinking she misheard him. "W-What?"

"I can't promise you'll get many hours, and the pay likely won't be exactly what you expect; however, I'd happily let you work here." Teuchi smiled. "At least, I can have you on for a while and help you make something while you're taking care of that brother of yours."

Sora stared at this kind hearted old man on the verge of tears. "Thank you, sir." She bowed her head. "I was beginning to lose hope of finding anything." She wiped her eyes. "I promise I'll do my best to be an asset."

Teuchi offered her a sincere smile and a comforting pat on the shoulder. "As long as you work hard, I'm certain you will be."

Well, I don't know how this will go over, could be a one shot for all I know, but I still made this for a reason. I don't see many stories taking the route of bringing Yugioh elements into the Naruto verse. They are out there, but it's typically about taking Naruto elements and putting them into the Yugioh verse. I think if one were to apply the elements introduced in the first Yugioh series, duel monsters coming from the spirit in ancient Egypt, I think they work as a unique form of summon.

As for why I'm not using actual Yugioh characters, there are reasons. All Yugioh characters are unique in appearance when most clans within Naruto typically share physical traits. If I used actual characters, I'd also be expected to give them their signature monsters which would be rather restrictive. I decided on utilizing Plus Ultraman's idea on how Jiraiya takes Naruto out of the village, and he will be back naturally. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this chapter.

Note: According to google translate, Summon=Kettou.
