Adrien was stuck.
Ladybug wasn't showing up and he was NOT doing too hot as Chat Noir.
So... he inevitably let go of the stem keeping him from falling and instead left the scene and detransformed in an alley near Master Fu's.
"What will you do now, Adrien?"
"PLAGG?!" Exclaimed a tiny feminine voice.
"TIKKI?! Shouldn't you be with Ladybug?" Exclaimed Plagg the ladybug spotted kwami that looked sad and afraid.
"My owner has... for the moment being... been rendered unable to transform so I was heading to see Master Fu for some help... This must be your owner..." Tikki said becoming awkward at the end when she noticed Adrien.
"Hello... you must be Ladybug's kwami, it's nice to meet you. My name is Adrien." Said Adrien in greeting.
'Oh boy... Marinette would meltdown for the next week if she knew Adrien is Chat Noir... Thank goodness that's not going to happen any time very soon.' Tikki thought awkwardly for a moment.
"It's nice to meet you Adrien, my name is Tikki." Said Tikki sweetly in return.
"If you like you can catch a ride on me with Plagg... I was heading there myself anyways." Said Adrien to Tikki kindly with a smile.
"I would be happy to do so! But please hurry!" Tikki said looked to the side awkwardly.
Adrien nodded and rushed to Master Fu's address.
"Adrien! You aren't suppose to be here! You should be out there fighting the akuma as Chat Noir-" Exclaimed Fu after guiding him in.
"He can't fight the akuma alone Master..." Said Tikki coming out of hiding.
"Tikki! What are you doing away from Ladybug?!"
"She's unable to transformat the moment..." Said Tikki with a sigh.
"I see... this is most serious indeed..."
"I can still help though!" Said Tikki hopeful.
"NO WAY!" Shouted both Fu and Plagg sweating fearfully.
"What, why can't she?" Asked Adrien confused.
"Because last time Tikki tried to help on her own merit she created 15 dinasours during the age of the caveman. The human race was then almost wiped out by the dinasours. Thankfully Plagg was able to destroy every dinasour in time." Fu explained slightly fearful.
"So you're saying instead of creating one 'lucky charm' she could create multiple or worse create something completely different in a large quantity?"
"Yes, it's as bad as letting Plagg work Cataclysm without you being transformed. He could destroy Paris with one touch or even just one breath." Fu explained going over to the miracle box.
"We don't have time to dwell on things..." Said Fu with a sigh placing the box in front of Adrien and opening it.
"Adrien, the time has come for you to choose an ally you can trust to aid you in this fight. Be sure to choose wisely." Said Fu.
Adrien nodded and looked down at the box.
After a moment he noticed Fu's Bracelet and the fox miraculous glow. In a print similar to the of his shirt as Adrien and then he had the idea.
"I'm going to need Rena Rouge and Carapace... But who are they?" Spoke up Adrien.
Tikki sighed.
"It's Alya Cesaire and Nino Lahiffe..." Revealed Tikki after some hesitation and receiving confirmation from Fu.
"Alya and Nino? Of course! A lot makes sense about Rena and Carapace now... But how... No, not right now, I need to get moving! I have to help Marinette!" Adrien said determinedly.
"Wait! One question!" Tikki piped up hesitatntly.
"Why do you care about this Marinette girl so much, no lying to me, I can tell the truth from the lies." Questioned Tikki seriously.
Adrien paused at that.
'What did he think of Marinette? She was just a friend right? But if she was just a friend why did I feel jealous when Luka was more than friendly with her? Or when Nathaniel was so crazy about her? What exactly do I feel about her?' Adrien thought for a moment.
"Adrien... are you okay?" Asked Plagg.
"To answer the question honestly... I don't really know anymore.. I thought she was just a friend but I have to admit to getting jealous when boys approach her which doesn't make any sense to me..." Adrien said with a soft awkward smile.
'This BOY is so OBLIVIOUS...' Thought the three in the room in annoyance and disappointed.
'At least he's finally starting to notice her as her civilian self.' Tikki thought with a pleased smile.
"Let's go kid, we don't have all day to go save your Princess." Plagg said internally proud of his kid.
"You've done well so far with him Plagg." Fu complimented with a smile.
Adrien smiled. "PLAGG, CLAWS OUT!" He said transforming into Chat.
"Tikki, go with Chat." Fu instructed.
Tikki then his in Adrien's hair gently.
"Thank you Master." Adrien said with a smile before leaving.
-With Marinette-
"Well, Tikki is not around here anywhere... Looks like I am stuck. This is not good." Marinette said with a sigh as she continued to walk around her prison.
-With Alya and Nino-
Alya and Nino jumped in shock as Chat Noir quite literally dropped in and landed in fromt of her.
"Chat Noir! What are you doing here?" Questioned Nino.
"Shouldn't you be fighting the akuma with Ladybug by now."
"No time to explain... but Ladybug can't transform right now..." Adrien said awkwardly before pulling out the Miraculous.
"I can't fight this Akuma while I try and help Ladybug... So Rena Rouge, Carapace do you agree to help us by fighting this Akuma while I work on helping Ladybug and then return the Mirraculouses to me when the fight is done?" Questioned Chat Noir to the two teens.
"We will." Said the couple happily accepting the offered Miraculouses.
"Trixx! LET'S POUNCE!" Alya said transforming into Rena Rouge.
"WAYZZ! SHELL ON!" Nino said transforming into Carapace.
"So what is the akuma this time?" Asked Rena.
"The akuma is known as Weredad, and is unfortunately my fault... I rejected Marinette Dupain-Cheng and well her father did not take it very well. I feel really bad about it, but I couldn't lead her on since I love Ladybug..." Adrien began to explain.
One Explanation Later...
"Marinette? In love with Chat Noir? Not likely, I think you might've caught her off guard and she claimed she had a crush on you to cover up for whatever she was trying to hide. Probably going crazy in her mind with fantasies about her real crush." Alya explained with a smile.
"Yeah, this whole mess was probably a misunderstanding that spiraled out of control, it can happen. Especially with Marinette. She is a super klutz." Carapace said with a light laugh.
Rena laughed a bit and nodded.
"Yeah, I'm her best friend and all but the girl can definitely be a total spaz at times. Even with me and Nino." Alya explained.
Adrien felt better at the news and nodded with a smile before the two teens left leaving him to stare at the bakery from behind a tree with a sigh.
"How should I approach saving her as Adrien... if Adrien is not supposed to know Marinette's father was akumatized and locked up Marinette inside a prison of roses?"
"Kid, go in and explain that Chat Noir sent you to save Marinette while Rena Rouge and Carapace fought off the akuma so that he could help Ladybug be able to transform." Said Plagg with a sigh.
"That's actually a good idea Plagg!" Said Adrien opening his jacket for Plagg and Tikki to hide in.
-With Marinette-
Marinette smiled as she realized that she had managed to have her phone with her to pass the time while Chat Noir figured out a way to save her.
She scrolled through NewTube for something to listen to when she found a curious song titled Queen by a band named Paradox.
'This is awesome! I love it! Actually speaking of making people realize I am not helpless... I think Marinette will be more useful than Ladybug for this Akuma than Ladybug.
The rose is in here some where but this prison of roses is like a huge maze... Someone coming from inside the bakery into the prison would have a better chance at finding that rose.'
Marinette sighed as she looked over at a picture on her nightstand.
"Dad is out of control, when I get out of here, I am going to make sure he doesn't get so out of control anymore about me... Not anymore" Marinette said out loud with a sigh.
"Some one hurry up and pick that rose..." Muttered Marinette putting down the frame once more where it goes.
-With Adrien-
Adrien ran into the bakery and up to Sabine.
"Adrien?! What brings you here?"
"Actually, Chat Noir went to me earlier and asked me to go and save Marinette while Rena Rouge and Carapace face the akuma because he needs to go find and help Ladybug so that she can transform since she is the only one who can purify the akumas..." Adrien answered awkwardly.
Sabine suddenly smiled and handed Adrien a shovel they had in the back.
"Please free my daughter, Marinette is very capable but this is magic that is trapping her up there... I am certain she can stop Tom long enough for our city's heroes to save him. Tom just forgets at times how capable she is and gets ahead of himself..." Sabine said holding onto his hands gently.
Adrien smiled as he realized Marinette had a wonderful family that believed in her.
He nodded with a light smile and went upstairs finding an entryway where Marinette's room used to be into the tower prison of roses.
So he went inside and took a deep breath as he went up several flights of stairs facing the occasional obstacle on his way up.
-With Rena Rouge and Carapace-
"You are only trapping your daughter inside a cage that will only hurt her more emotionally than a broken heart!" Said Rena blocking an attack from Weredad.
'Now I understand why Marinette hoped that her Father or Mother never got akumatized... He's so strong...'
-With Marinette-
'Please hang in there whoever is out there fighting Weredad... Please... I will deal with him myself once I get free... I just need to find that stupid rose!' Thought Marinette as she continued to walk around in search of the rose.
-With Adrien-
Adrien smiled as he found himself facing where the rose rested.
He went to go towards it for several obstacles to appear and another person to come into the scene.
It was none other than Marinette Dupain-Cheng and she looked annoyed and happy all at once.
"A-Adrien? What are you doing here?"
"It's a long story but Chat Noir asked me to come while he tried to help Ladybug be able to come and help. Rena Rouge and Carapace are currently fighting Weredad..." Said Adrien awkwardly.
"Thank you for helping Adrien, I would have managed without anyone helping eventually, but help is always welcome!" Rambled Marinette happily stuttering at first.
"I am sure you would have! You are an amazing girl Marinette!"
"Thanks but right now, I need to be the one to pick that rose I need to face my Dad and get him to stop this madness!" Marinette said after a moment her expression turning serious as she suddenly pulled from her pockets two pocket knifes and opened them.
Then she started running very fast towards the rose.
As she came across the first obstacle he was about to rush in to help her but what he saw next made him freeze in his tracks.
Marinette suddenly cut down with one slash each and every single thorny stem along the way before vaulting over the chasm with spikes all over in it.
As she vaulted Adrien felt himself come back to reality and followed her over.
Eventually when he finally stood next to her right in front of the rose, Adrien had to ask.
"I didn't know you were THAT amazing Marinette? Any other secrets of amazing capabilities you haven't told me?" Adrien asked with a smile.
Marinette started becoming a bumbling mess before she remembered that she needed to confront her father and she needed to answer Adrien.
"Well, when I was 6 my parents enrolled me in mma, gymnastics, and fencing. I continued the mma and gymnastics until I mastered each sport because I enjoyed them but I never fully got into fencing, so I quit fencing early on. I wasn't bad at it according to the teacher but I am not really a big fan of fencing. I like it but not enough to continue it." Revealed Marinette awkwardly before picking the rose.
Suddenly the rose prison vanished slowly and soon they found themselves in Marinette's room which Marinette quickly ran out of.
-Outside-
"What?! Someone saved her?!"
"NO DAD! I SAVED MYSELF!" Shouted Marinette in response putting away her pocket knifes as she stared down her akumatized father.
