Professor Luz Noceda Blight was busy at Hexside teaching glyph magic to a room full of students. While she enjoyed the job she was quick to realize more of her students were interested in her celebrity status as Hero of the boiling the isles than actually wanting to learn the art of glyph magic. She was busy writing on a chalkboard showing the 4 glyph types. "Okay class can anyone tell me what spell you get when you combine 2 light and 2 ice glyphs?" Luz said, looking around to see only one hand raised. She knew
the hand belonged to a boy named Edward. He was the only student who took the class seriously. And while she appreciated his enthusiasm she would really like to get the other kids involved more. "Anyone else other than Edward? No. Ok Edward, why don't you tell the class." Luz said. At that moment the young witch stood up and said " A combination of those 4 glyphs done in the correct manner would result in an invisibility spell." He then sat down and began writing notes. "Okay class, any other questions?"
Luz said and the rest of the class raised their arms."Any questions not related to me fusing with the titan of the boiling isles and defeating Belos?" Luz said and like that all the hands fell down. Suddenly the bell screamed and the day was over."Okay class please practice your glyph combos. We have our final exam next week." Luz said but most of the class was already gone all with the exception of Edward. Luz looked as the young witch was packing his things."Edward, why are you the only one who takes this class
seriously?" Luz said, falling into her nearby chair exhausted. " I have no idea Professor Noceda." Edward said as he put his backpack on. "Edward, it's after school you can just call me Luz." Luz said as she was overlooking the papers for next week's final. It was to be a series of tests seeing how well they had mastered glyphs and their many combinations. " Well as much as i love to sit and chat with you Edward you better get going the weather calls for an hour of boiling rain." Luz said, Packing her papers into a
briefcase." Ok then I'll see you tomorrow Luz." Edward said, running out the classroom door. Luz checking her surroundings said "Alright stringbean it's all clear." and the snake shifter palisman made its way out of her desk. "Come on girl, let's get home. Amity and Ghost are waiting." And within the blink of an eye stringbean changed to staff mode and the two made their way out of the classroom. As the two made their way through the halls of hexside Luz looked in wonder at how things had changed since she
first graced these halls over 10 years ago. No longer were students locked into 1 track in fact these days you could count the amount of students in a single track with 1 hand. Luz had nearly made her way out when she bumped into the Principal knocking them both down." Madam Principal I'm so sorry." said Luz as she helped the witch back to her feet. "It's no problem Luz or should I say professor Noceda." The Principal said as she reoriented herself. " So you have just about finished your 1st school year as a teacher.
How have your students taken to your teachings?" the principal said. " Well to be honest most seem more interested in my quote Celebrity status than learning the class." Luz said. " Well you have to imagine being in their shoes for a second. They spent their entire childhoods hearing about your exploits so what else would they do?" said the principal. "Well I guess you're right." Luz siad looking for a way to get out of the conversation."Oh by the way, since the end of next week will mark your 1st full year as a
teacher, the faculty would like to throw you a party. Is that alright?" Said the principal. "I'd love it but next week is my 1st anniversary with Amity so can we make it the middle of the week." Said Luz impatiently to get the conversation done to beat the boiling rain."Okay I'll let them know you have a nice day, professor." Said the principal and like that she was gone. With her out of the way Luz climbed on stringbean and made her way home….
….Luz was Approaching her home flying on her staff thinking to herself "Looks like this time i beat the boiling rain." It was at this moment Luz felt a stinging sensation on her arm. Looking down she saw a small burn mark and at that moment it began to rain." Oh come on." Luz thought to herself and she double timed it to her home making it into the magic barrier getting only slightly damp and a couple of burn marks. Her teaching robes however were soaked."Third time this month I got caught in the boiling rain." Luz
said, ditching her soaked robes." It's a good thing the clothes in the demon realm protect you from getting burnt by the boiling rain. I really got to get gloves." Luz said looking at the few burn marks on her hands. Feeling cold she grabbed a spree robe she kept by the front door in case of this and went upstairs to change into a proper fresh set of clothes. After changing Luz shouted "Amity I'm home!" But got no response. After a 2nd shout she made her way through the house looking for her lovely wife. Amity
was nowhere to be found, not upstairs, not downstairs, not even in the basement laundry area. She was just about to assume she must be still at work when a purple blur flew by her face. Not knowing what it was, Luz was quick to summon her staff. Scanning the basement for the object she saw it in the corner of her eye. But just as she was about to smack it a familiar voice shouted"Luz wait!" Luz stopped mere seconds before striking the object and responded" Amity?" The object replied "Yes it's me Batata,
sorry if I startled you. I just wanted to show you my new abomination project. I'm in the workshop out back." the voice from the object replied. "Okay Amity I'll be right up." and with that Luz and the object made their way to the workshop behind the house. Opening the door revealed Amity Noceda-Blight she had her purple brown hair tied up in a ponytail, she wore work goggles similar to her dads. She was wearing work pants, her regular shirt tied around her waist with nothing but an undershirt to cover her top.
Her clothes were stained purple. "Hello sweetheart." Amity said before going to give Luz a kiss on the Lost in the kiss for a moment forgot what she was gonna say only could respond with" Hello sweet potato how was your day?" " My day was fine, check out my latest project. The abomination drone." Amity said as she went back to her control panel."Wow Amity that's impressive." said Luz as the drone flew across the room. "It can lift packages 10 times its weight, fly 500 miles on one charge and even can record
audio and video. I designed it to help transport goods across the boiling isles." Amity said as she sent the drone for an easy landing. " Wow, have you shown your dad yet he will love it." Luz said, giving her wife a big hug. " No, not yet, I'm waiting for the right moment. You see, ever since he took over Blight industries after my parents divorce he has been so busy undoing the mistakes he made. Helping undo the coven sigils was big for him. But what is most important to him is tracking down and dismantling the
abomination bots used to crack down on wild witches. He feels that if he gets rid of them it will make amends for all the suffering they caused." Amity said, sitting down on her work chair. " I would have thought he would have been done with that years ago." Luz said looking puzzled. "You have no idea how many of those my mom had pushed out for a quick snail. Wait, Luz are those burn marks on your hands?" Amity said looking very concerned. " It's nothing really, I just got caught in the boiling rain again." Luz
said, trying to shrug it off. "Luz that's the 3rd time this month what slowed you down this time?" Amity said as she went to tend to her wife's injuries. " The principal stopped me to ask about a party celebrating my 1st school year as a teacher, but I'm not that interested bec i didn't feel like this year was much of a success. I mean most of the class was more interested in me being a big hero than they were concerned in actually learning how glyph magic works." Luz said as amity began to work on Luz hands. " It's a
good thing Emira taught me the basics on healing magic or you would be stuck with these for a while. Luz don't worry I'm sure next year you will get students that will actually care about the class." Amity said as the healing spell made quick work of the burn marks. " I guess you are probably right, but I'm not sure if that is what is really bugging me." Luz said as she went to sit down in an extra chair. " What do you mean batata?" Amity said as she began putting her tools away. " I mean our life has become
routine. I go to teach at hexside, you go to work with your dad or go exploring with Lilith, we come home we eat, sleep and repeat the cycle all over again. I guess I feel like we need something new to mix up our life." Luz said as she took a deep breath. " I guess you are kinda right ever since our honeymoon things have been relatively simple. Maybe we do need something to change but what that is I'm not sure. Whatever that is, we will figure it out together later but now we need to get ready." Amity said as she
made her way to the house. "Wait what are we getting ready for?" Luz said, looking confused." Don't tell me you forgot. Today is Gus's birthday we're all gonna meet up at Grimgrub's Pub for drinks." Amity said as the two made their way to the house. "Oh titan i completely forgot!" said Luz panicking as she knew she had no gift. " Don't worry my love, I got Gus a gift from the both of us." Amity said, giving Luz a kiss on the cheek." So why don't the two of us get cleaned up and ready? The rain should pass in an hour and then we meet up for the I think I might need some help washing my backside if you know what I mean." Amity said, causing Luz to blush. " Okay you are on." 2 Hours Later….
Luz and Hunter were locked in a drinking game seeing which of them could handle the most hard apple blood. Both were 10 mugs in when Hunter said " Alright i can't take another glass you win.' Hunter said clearly feeling the effects of the hard apple blood. " Looks like I will win again." Luz said as she downed an 11th mug of hard apple blood like it was nothing. " How do you handle alcohol so well?' Gus said as he was only 3 mugs in. " Im latina it's in our DNA this apple blood is nothing, have a shot of mamajuana and you'll see what real booze is like. '' Luz said, finishing her 12th mug of apple blood without even feeling slightly drunk. " No thank you, you can have it all to yourself." Hunter
said having a glass of water to keep himself hydrated. Amity looking over at Gus said "How is everything with you Gus?' " Everything is fine. My classes have been going well teaching witches about the human realm. Matts got an internship with the new government and all couldn't be better." Gus said having his 3rd glass of apple blood. Amity then turned to Willow who was acting strange. She was drinking regular apple blood and was a little off personality wise. "So Willow, how did you and Hunter like Puerto
Rico?" Amity asked having herself a 4th glass of apple blood. " Oh, it was lovely. I can't thank you and luz enough for recommending it as the spot to check out for our honeymoon." Willow said as she looked to her husband who was trying to hold his appleblood. " It was great but I've got to ask what is up with the guys in the funny mask smacking you with a cow's bladder?" Hunter said to which Luz responded. " I have no idea and my dad was born there." Luz then looked to Willow. " So Willow flyer derby
season starts next week. Are you and The Emerald Entrails going to go for a 3 peat this season?" Willow looking down at her belly responded. " Actually I'm taking the year off." Gus, Amity and Luz all stunned looked at Willow as if she was horribly ill and responded"What!" Amity, the most confused of the three then said "You never take off, you have played flyer derby with broken legs, what is up?" Willow looked at Hunter as if to say it's time then responded" I'm taking off bec me and Hunter are having a baby." this
catching her friends off guard, froze them for a second. Once they had processed the info they were quick to rejoice in the good news hugging their friend before Hunter shouted. "Enough give her some room. Are you alright babe they didn't hurt you or the baby right." The three of them looked puzzled before Willow responded" Sorry but ever since we found out Hunter has been very protective of me. He wants to make sure all is well before I give birth," Luz asked " Okay my girl I understand. Now tell us
when did you find out? How long till the baby's due? Is it a boy or girl? I've got to know." Amity was quick to shut Luz down " Batata, one question at a time. So Willow, when did you find out?" Willow, looking at her friends, responded. "It was about 2 months ago when I woke up to check on my plants and I found my magic wasn't working." Luz, looking puzzled, asked" Why wasn't your magic working?" Amity was quick to respond" Oh that's right Luz you dont know. When a witch has a baby not only does the young
witchling feed on the nutrients from the mothers body but draws magic from the mothers bile sac to help with the development of their own bile sac." Luz absorbing the information was quick to understand. " Well all i can say is congratulations I hope you two have a happy healthy baby." Luz said having a glass of water. "Thanks but there's one thing we would like to ask of you and two have been such important people in our life we want to know if you would be the baby's godparents." Amity and Luz looked at
each other with massive smiles on their faces and shouted " Of course we would love to be the godparents." It was at that moment the bartender shouted. "Pubs closing, get your last drinks or get out." It was at this moment the Hexsquad decided to call it a night and they all went to their respective homes. Luz and Amity reached their house and Amity could tell the Apple blood was starting to take an effect on her wife. "Luz you have to take it easy with the apple blood. Just because you can handle a lot of alcohol
doesn't mean you should drink a lot." Amity said, helping Luz enter the front door. "You're right sweet potato but I can't say no to a challenge." Luz said disoriented from the booze. " Well next time keep your drinking in check or you are sleeping on the couch." Amity said frustrated as they made their way to the bedroom passing by the room their parents left empty. Luz, taking a quick glance into it suddenly had an idea. "Amity that's it i know what to put in this room." Amity, puzzled for a second, asked" What are we
gonna put in this room Luz." Luz jumped up and down with a sense of energy that Amity had not seen in a while. " Isn't it obvious my love? We're gonna have a baby." Amity stunned at the response said. " You and I have a baby. I don't even know if it's possible. Besides, am I good enough to be a mother? I mean I didn't grow up with a good mother." Amity said as she sat down on their bed. " Amity you are not the horrid woman your mother was nor will you ever be that person. I know in my heart you will be an
excellent mother. Also come on sweet potato this is the boiling isles. The land of magic and wonder. There is bound to be a spell or potion that will allow us to have a baby. So what do you say? Are you ready to be a parent?" Luz said, extending her hand out to Amity. Amity paused for a moment not sure of herself but seeing the confidence in her wife's face said" Alright Luz let's have a baby." The two lovers went to bed knowing the next morning would be busy as they figured out how in titans name they were to become parents.
