"Gates of Hell journey begins"
Bayonetta and Oblivion brought Jeanne's body to the Gates of Hell. Jeanne's body was placed in a casket "Dead witches get dragged to hell." Rodin said.
Oblivion was sitting down next to Jeanne's body "It is what it is. Jeanne's gonna wander Inferno suffering for eternity. Them's the breaks." Rodin said.
Oblivion pulled out his gun and aimed at Rodin's head. Bayonetta pulled out her pistols "I didn't ask you to tell me what I already know. Rodin. Especially if you're going to be flip about it." Bayonetta said.
Rodin moved the gun aside "You know better than that..." Rodin said.
"I suppose you're right." Oblivion said.
"you're not the kind to let that sort of summon go out of control, Bayonetta." Rodin said.
"I'm sorry for what happened I couldn't save her soul in time." Oblivion said.
Bayonetta could tell under his cool headed and cynical personality Oblivion was feeling a genuine sense of guilt. "You didn't fail me or her Oblivion." Bayonetta assured.
"Something's up. The balance of powers that keep things in check don't feel right, does it?" Rodin asked.
"I suppose with the destruction of the Right Eye the universe was thrown out of balance." Oblivion said.
"I suppose you're right." Bayonetta said.
Enzo was leaning over Jeanne's casket "You know, she's pretty hot for a dead chick." Enzo said.
"Weirdo." Ghost said under his breath.
"Wasn't a big fan of her shit when she was in the realm of the living, but lookin' at her now..." Enzo smiled.
He stared for a second before turning his smile down "Nah. Still not a fan." Enzo said.
"She's not dead, Enzo." Bayonetta said.
"She's not?" Oblivion asked.
"She's right. You're only really dead after your soul's been completely absorbed into another realm of the trinity." Rodin said.
"So she's got a time limit." Oblivion said.
"But that's just a matter of time, cuz I don't see no way of savin' a soul lost in hell." Rodin said.
Bayonetta looked down in defeat "Bayonetta what the real Gates?" Ghost asked.
"Could we use them?" Bayonetta asked.
"I can't stop you from trying to use 'em, but I don't think you got a chance down there." Rodin said.
"We almost didn't have a chance against Balder." Oblivion said.
"I'll see what I can do about putin' her on ice for a while…" Rodin said.
"You'll need this…" Rodin said, as he grabbed Jeanne's watch.
"The heart of an Umbra Witch. The magic that keep your kind alive in this world for eternities." Rodin said.
"I don't have an Umbran Watch." Oblivion said.
"It's because you became a partial Umbran member Oblivion you didn't undergo through the trials." Bayonetta explained.
"Anyways should keep her body in this realm stable, but you need to reunite this with her soul if you're gonna try and bring her back." Rodin said.
He handed the watch to Bayonetta "I figure you got about a day before it's game over." Rodin said.
"Oblivion, you've got a jet, right?" Bayonetta asked.
"I do." Oblivionsaid.
"Before heading out I'll hook you up." Rodin said.
He showed her new weapons she turned over to Oblivion "Maybe we should let my apprentice try one or two." Bayonetta said.
"Let's go." Oblivion said.
They head to Noatun, The City of Genesis.
