So This Is A Relationship?
Ranma couldn't help but smile as he and Lum sat together on a couch outside the office of a lawyer. Why were they there? Well for one thing, in retaliation by Nodoka for what happened to them yesterday.
After Ranma and Lum got back home, they told Nodoka all that had happened to them. Nodoka was happy that the two of them were now OFFICALLY a couple, but hearing what her dead-beat husband did to them? NOW she was pissed. So pissed in fact, that she had taken off for the lawyer's office to file not only for a divorce but also for a restraining order.
"But No-chan!" Genma cried as he got to his hands and knees.
"Don't start that crap with me Genma Saotome! I've put up with a lot from you, but attacking my son? Trying to FORCE him to marry a woman I SPECIFICALLY said that I didn't approve of!? Trying to come between him and a girl that he CLEARLY liked more than any of the daughters of your stupid lazy ass friend!? You've pushed me TOO far this time Genma! And now I'm going to do what I should have done a long time ago!"
As Genma pleaded with his soon to be ex-wife, Ranma just chuckled. His father's bad karma was FINALLY coming back to get him. He turned his head to Lum. She was snuggling up to him, humming to herself happily. Ranma wrapped an arm around Lum's waist and pulled her closer, finding it hard to resist breathing in the sent of her hair.
His happy thoughts were cut short when he heard noises of someone being bashed to death from the office door. He and Lum shot up as they heard Genma's shouts of fear and pain. Soon afterwards, Nodoka walked out, panting for breath and looking very contempt with herself.
"Well, that was satisfying." She said with a big smile. Ranma and Lum gulped. They were gald to not have incurred the wrath of this scary woman.
"So...I guess that's it then?" Ranma asked. Nodoka nodded her head, smiling as she did so.
"Don't worry son, as of right now, Genma will no longer be a problem for us. The restraining order will ensure that he will either stay far away from us or suffer being imprisoned for at least 10 years." She said. Ranma and Lum smiled at hearing that.
"Well then, I guess that's it then." Ranma said.
"Yay!" Lum cried as she hugged Ranma tightly. "Darling! Let's go out and celebrate!"
"I think that's a great idea Lum. Why don't we go out for some ice cream?" Nodoka said. Before Ranma and Lum could answer, they heard Genma crying out in shock.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN I HAVE TO PAY ALIMONY AND CHILD SUPPORT!?"
At hearing this, Ranma and Nodoka started laughing evilly at Genma's plight. Oh yes, karma had definitely come to bite the fat oaf in the ass at long last. The next day, Ranma woke up happier than he had been in his whole life.
His father was out of his hair, both his dad and Soun were now forced to stay far away from him or else suffer the consequences of the law, he was free of the marriage arrangement to Akane, he was in a new school free of Kuno and his wacky sister and to top it all off, he had a smoking hot new alien girlfriend! And speak of the space devil, she came flying in through Ranma's window.
"Wakey wakey Darling!" She said as she tackled Ranma back down to his bed. Ranma blushed as Lum snuggled up to him.
"Hey Lum-chan." Ranma said. Lum gave her Darling a sly smirk.
"Darling, let's make out. Like a real couple." She said as she puckered up her lips and leaned in towards Ranma. Ranma blushed, he still wasn't entirely comfortable with stuff like this, but he figured he better do practice. So, he gave Lum the kiss she asked for.
After a minute, they separated, Ranma blushing like crazy. Lum cuddled Ranma close to her bosom.
"So Darling, when are we going on our first date?" She asked. Ranma blushed. Date? He hadn't thought about that.
"Um...Can I get back to you on that?" He asked.
As Ranma went down for breakfast, Nodoka tried her hardest to hide her smirk. She couldn't help but be happy that her son had snagged such a great girl for a girlfriend.
'And a perfect mother for my future grandbabies!' She thought to herself.
As Ranma prepared to head to school for the day, Nodoka decided to tease him a little as well as give him a little help in getting over his first date jitters.
"So, Ranma my son, where do you intend to take your new girlfriend on your first date?" She asked. Ranma blushed from embarrassment.
"Honestly, I'm not sure. And to be honest mom, I...I've never been on a date before. I'm not even sure how to go about on a date." He said. Nodoka smiled sadly.
"Well Ranma, if I may, I have a few ideas. I know a couple of great restaurants and there's a new dance club too."
"Dancing!?" Lum said as she flew up to the mother son pair. "I LOVE DANCING! Darling! Can we go? Please!?" She begged, her eyes glittering and pleading. Ranma squirmed as Lum gave him those puppy dog eyes.
"Well...if you really want to," Ranma began to say as Lum glamped onto him and kissed his cheeks in happiness.
"YEAH! We're going on our first date!" She said.
Ranma walked to school with his head in the clouds. To his left Lum kept flying and humming like she was the happiest girl in the galaxy. As they kept on their way to Tomobiki High, Ranma caught sight of Shinobu and waved as he called out to her.
"Yo! Shinobu!"
Shinobu turned as her name was called, expecting to see Ataru but was happily surprised to see Ranma and Lum. She smiled as she returned the pig tailed boy's wave.
"Hey Ranma! Hey Lum!"
Lum smiled as she waved back at the maroon haired girl. Since Ranma's confession, she really didn't feel like she had to worry about Shinobu hitting on her Darling.
"Say Ranma, did you know you're even more famous now?" Shinobu asked as they all headed off to the school together. Ranma tilted his head in confusion.
"Huh? What do you mean?" He asked.
"Well, you were all over the news last night. There was a big story about a boy on top of Tokyo Tower getting into a big fight and then professing his love for his girlfriend at the top of his lungs." Shinobu said with a sly smile. Ranma blushed at the memory of what happened last night. Lum smirked as she flew closer to Ranma and cuddled up to him.
"That's right! Darling called me his girlfriend! And we have our first date coming up Tonight!" She said, causing Ranma to blush up a storm. Shinobu gasped in shock.
"What!? Really!?" She said, then smiled. "Oh wow. That's..."
"WHAT!?" Came the voice of one Ataru Moroboshi as he ran right for the group of three.
"I WONT ALLOW IT!" He said as he charged in to attack Ranma...only to get triple kicked by Ranma, Lum and Shinobu. As he fell to the ground the three teens just shook their heads at the downed perv.
"Man. What a creep." Ranma said as he and the others turned to continue on their way. As they walked, or flew in Lum's case, they came upon the priest that Ranma bumped into the other day.
"Oh, hello their Ranma. Seems you made up with your girlfriend I see." He said.
"Oh hey, the priest dude. S'up? And yeah, we did." Ranma said to the small priest.
"I told you, the name's Cherry. And I'm happy for you. But be warned!" He said as he jumped to his feet, causing the three teens to jump back in surprise.
"I have foreseen your future boy! And I sense trouble coming your way. BIG trouble!" Cherry blurted out. Ranma sweat dropped at what Cherry said.
"O...k...? What kind of trouble?" Ranma asked. Cherry cleared his throat.
"All I can say is that you should watch out for figure skaters." Was all Cherry said, causing Ranma to look even more confused.
"OK. Um...thanks I guess?" Ranma said as he and his two companions went back on their way.
'What the heck? I don't even like figure skating.' Ranma thought to himself as he headed for his school. As they arrived, he turned to say goodbye to Lum.
"Ok Lum, I'll see ya after school." He said.
"Kiss me goodbye Darling." Lum said as she puckered up her lips and leaned closer to Ranma. He blushed but swallowed his pride and gave her a quick goodbye kiss. As the two lovers enjoyed their moment, a lot of the boys around the school shot daggers of hate at Ranma from their eyes. As the two separated they gazed at each other, Ranma blushing up a storm.
"Um, see ya." He said. Lum smiled and nodded.
"See you later for our date, Darling." She said in a sing-song voice and kissed Ranma's cheek before flying off. Ranma found it awfully hard to tear his eyes away from Lum's retreating form as he made his way towards the front door of his school.
"DIE YOU BASTARD!" Came the war cry of a bunch of boys, lead by Ataru, who were attacking Ranma with bats, hammers, and anything they could find. Ranma looked up and countered all of them with the greatest of ease. He then looked and saw that they were wearing vests that said, 'Lum's Stormtroopers'.
"Stormtroopers?" Ranma asked in confusion. He shrugged his shoulders and headed off.
"Sheesh. Well, I guess this makes me Luke Skywalker or something, huh?"
As Ranma was dealing with the boring day of school, Lum was heading back to the home she and Ranma shared with his mother. As she came closer to the house, she saw Nodoka waving her over.
"Oh Lum dear!" Nodoka called out to her son's girlfriend. Lum smiled wide as she flew down to the older woman.
"Hello mother-in-law!" She said as she flew down to hug her future mother-in-law. Nodoka hugged the alien girl back.
"So Lum dear, I have to ask you something." Nodoka said as they disengaged from the hug. Lum looked confused at Ranma's mother.
"What is it?" She asked. Nodoka sighed as she looked the blue tinted green-haired girl.
"Well, uh, you're not going out on your date dressed like that, are you?" She asked. Lum looked down at herself and then looked back to the older woman.
"Um, yeah. Why?" Nodoka shook her head at that. Oh well.
"Well then, I guess it's time I introduced you to a little mother/daughter bonding thing we have here on Earth." She trailed off and grinned at Lum's expression.
"Date night clothes shopping!" She said.
Later, the two girls were walking through a few stores at the mall, trying to find some nice clothes for Lum to wear on her date. As they looked around, Nodoka couldn't help but gush at how cute Lum looked in every outfit she tried on.
"OOHHHH! Lum-chan! You look ssssooooo KAWAII!" She said as Lum came out from the dressing room to show off another outfit. The oni girl couldn't help but smile at how her future mother-in-law acted at her attire.
"Mother-in-law, I'm still not..." Lum trailed off as she saw something that made her eyes go wide.
"OOOHHHHH! Mother-in-law! THIS ONE!" She said as she flew over to a mannequin modeling the outfit that she KNEW Ranma would like. Nodoka looked at the outfit and smiled.
"Well, red is Ranma's favorite color."
Speaking of the boy in question, Ranma was beside himself with nervousness. Why? Because he was about to go on his very first date and he had absolutely no idea how to even go about dates! His father never taught him anything about dates, mostly cause he didn't' want Ranma liking anyone other than one of the Tendos. But still! He sighed and then had a thought. After the current class ended, he went over to Shinobu's desk.
"Hey, Shinobu?" He said. Shinobu turned to look at Ranma.
"Oh, hey Ranma. What's up?" She asked. Ranma scratched the back of his head.
"Well, remember when Lum said that we had a date tonight?" She nodded. "Well, the thing is, I've never been on a date in my whole life and I really don't know how to go about doing this whole date thing. But I really don't want to screw up my date with Lum so, do you got any suggestions for me?"
Shinobu was taken aback. She really didn't know what to say, a boy asking her for dating advice? She blushed as she tried to think.
"Well, I'd say just take her out to a romantic restaurant and then go for a nice little walk in the park." She said. Ranma smiled and nodded, but then he remembered something.
"Oh! By the way, my mom said something about a new dancing place that just opened up. Do you know anything about it?" He asked. Shinobu nodded with a smile.
"Yeah! It's a great place!" As the two started talking and exchanging ideas, Ataru was sitting in the back, growling at the fact that his most hated enemy was talking to Shinobu about a date he was going to have with Lum later that night.
Ataru leaned in so he could hear, a nasty plan forming in his head. If he couldn't date Lum, then he'd just have to make sure that Ranma's date with her went sour! And he knew just the two guys to help him do it, too.
Back at the Tendo Dojo, Genma and Soun were bawling their eyes out. Why? Because all their plans were ruined by two simple words. Restraining order. Nodoka had gone through the trouble of hiring a lawyer to not only divorce Genma and take all the parenting rights to Ranma, but also to make sure that they can never get near him again after what happened at Tokyo Tower.
Soun was crying his eyes out because he was sad that his and Genma's plans to unite the schools was basically forever ruined. Genma was crying because his plans to live off of Ranma and have a nice cushiony retirement was ruined! All because of that stupid alien girl! As the two dads continued to drown their sorrows in sake, Nabiki was trying to go through the numbers to make sure that they stayed out of the red.
What's worse, Genma now HAD to get a job so that he could pay alimony and child support! No matter how much he worked, he'd NEVER get to see a yen of his money! Genma and Soun had almost gone through all of the liquor in their possession, when they heard a knock on their door. Wiping tears from his eyes, Soun walked up to the door and was shocked to see that behind it was the boy that he and Genma bumped into at Tokyo Tower.
"Oh, hello. Uh, Ataru right?" Soun said as he greeted his guest.
"Hello Tend-san. May I come in? I have an offer that I think you and your friend will find enticing!" Ataru said with an evil grin. Soun was confused, until Genma marched up behind them, a bottle of sake in his hands as he chugged down more booze.
"And why would we be interested in anything you'd be selling, brat!?" Genma said, obviously drunk. Ataru's grin got wider.
"Oh, how about a chance to mess up Ranma and Lum's date tonight? And..." He started to say as he waved a piece of paper in front of the two of them.
"And what's that paper in your hand?" Soun asked. Ataru unfolded the paper.
"Oh just, THE RESTRAINING ORDER AGAINST YOU TWO!" Ataru cried out in triumph. The two old master's jaws dropped as they swiped the paper from Ataru's hand and read it over. Meanwhile, Nodoka had just gotten a very troubling phone call.
"What the hell do you mean the restraining order never made it to the courthouse!?"
Back at the Tendo Dojo, Soun and Genma had offered Ataru a drink and some of their food.
"So, son, what exactly do you have in mind for helping us with Ranma and that alien girls' date so that we can make him realize that he's making a huge mistake?" Soun asked the perverted young boy.
"Well, you see, I just so happened to overhear that the two of them are going out on the town tonight, and I know how much you guys want Ranma to marry one of your daughters for whatever the heck the reason is, and I want to have a shot at that space cutie! SO, I figured maybe if we work together, we can all get what we want!"
"Excellent!" Genma said, gulping down more sake. "Do you know where they're going first?"
"Yep! I heard Ranma planning the whole thing with my girlfriend in class today!" Ataru replied, not really caring to mention that Shinobu broke up with him. As the three men planed their evil deeds for the night, Akane shook her head as she headed for the dojo.
"Sheesh! Why can't those two get it through their thick heads!? I HATE BOYS! I'd rather die a virgin with NO KIDS!"
Back in Tomobiki town, Ranma was on his way home, sweating bullets at the thought of being on his first date ever. He took a few deep breaths to calm himself down as he tried to straighten out his shirt for the thousandth time in the few minutes he had been walking. He kept going over the ideas that Shinobu and a few of her friends had given him.
As his house came into view, he saw his mother waiting for him by the door. As Ranma waved to his mother, he couldn't help but notice that she had a mischievous smirk on her face. Ranma tilted his head at her.
"What's with the smug look mom?" He asked. Nodoka couldn't help but giggle.
"Oh, you'll see!" She said in a sing song voice. Ranma had the feeling that he should be on guard. As he got inside, he saw his mom pull out a camera and called out to Lum upstairs.
"Oh, Lum dear! Your prince charming/knight in shining armor is here!"
Ranma looked up, and his eyes popped out of his head as his jaw dropped to the floor. Up at the top of the stairs, Lum came into view, but not in her usual outfit. She was dressed in a red tube top blouse and kaki short shorts and wearing a pair of yellow sneakers. Lum giggled at Ranma's face as she strutted down the stairs.
"Like what you see, Darling?" She asked as she struck a pose. Ranma could only nod dumbly as Nodoka giggled and took pictures. When Lum came down to ground level, Ranma snapped out of his stupor.
"Well?" Lum asked again. Ranma shook his head to get himself back together.
"Um, well, um...I...Well...Wow. Lum, you look beautiful." He finally managed to say. Lum giggled again and wrapped her arms around the love stuck martial artist.
"I'm glad you like it Darling. Your mother and I picked it out just for this date." She said as she kissed Ranma. Ranma blushed redder than his shirt as Lum pulled away. Nodoka couldn't help but be happy at the sight. Her baby boy going off on his very first date.
"Well, you two get off and have fun. But not too much fun." She said teasingly. Ranma snapped out of it and starred at his mother in shock.
"WHAT!? But, MOM!" He said as Nodoka chuckled at her son's reaction.
"C-Come on Lum, let's go!" Ranma said as he dragged Lum out the door.
Nodoka watched the two as they headed off on their date. But as she watched them head off, she couldn't help but notice three figures watching and following the two teens. She went to get a better look and gasped as she recognized the figures for who they were.
Two of the figures were Soun and Genma! And with them was a brown-haired boy around Ranma and Lum's age. She figured he must be the pervy boy that they told her about, Ataru. She growled and gritted her teeth. It didn't take a genius to figure out what those three were up too. Suddenly, the phone call about the missing restraining order papers was starting to make sense.
"Oh no you don't, you three morons!" She whispered to herself as she pulled out her cellphone and make a call to an old friend of hers.
"Hello, Yukika? It's Nodoka. I need a favor."
Meanwhile, Ranma and Lum were heading for the restaurant that Shinobu had suggested. Lum kept clinging to Ranma's arm, causing it to be sandwiched between her modest breasts. Ranma gulped and blushed as his eyes kept stealing glances Lum's exposed bosom.
"So, where are we going Darling?" She asked. Ranma snapped out of his stupor and tried to remember what Shinobu had told him about the restaurant.
"Well, Shinobu told me about this one place that had some good food, so I thought we'd get something to eat there before we headed to the dance club." He said, trying desperately to hide his blush. Lum giggled and snuggled closer to Ranma.
"I can't wait!" She said.
Unkown to the two love birds, Genma, Soun and Ataru were watching them from afar. Ataru was torn between lusting after Lum in that smoking hot outfit and being super pissed at Ranma for being all lovey-dovey with the alien girl. As for the two fathers, they were plotting all the ways to make this date go as bad as possible.
"After everything I've done for that stupid boy!" Genma said.
"Don't worry Saotome, we'll break those two up. Mark my words." Soun said.
But unknown to the three romance wreckers, Nodoka had followed them, and she wasn't alone. With her was a woman in her mid to late thirties, wearing a purple top and orange skirt and glasses. And her hair was red and in a style that looked like one of the members of Team Rocket from Pokémon.
"Thanks for backing me up Yukika." Nodoka said. The woman, Yukika smiled and nodded at her old friend.
"No problem. And to be honest, I'm surprised that it took you this long to finally dump that overgrown tub of lard." Nodoka sighed at her red-haired friends' words.
"Yeah well, that's...complicated." She said, but then her face became stern and serious.
"But that's a story for another time. Right now, we've got to keep those three idiots from messing up my son's first date!"
As Ranma and Lum sat down to enjoy their meal, Genma, Soun and Ataru were watching from outside, waiting for the perfect time to strike. Ataru was the first to move, rushing into the restaurant and trying to blend in with the crowds. As Genma and Soun were about to follow their young ally, Nodoka and Yukika both bashed the two of them over their heads.
"Oh no you don't." Nodoka said as she and Yukika dragged the two martial artists aside.
"Well that was easy, now for the other creep." Yukika said as she looked towards the young asshole known as Ataru Moroboshi. She growled.
"Ataru Moroboshi." She said through gritted teeth. Nodoka raised an eyebrow.
"You've heard of him?" She asked. Yukika nodded.
"I've heard of and met him before. He's Tomobiki town's number one wannabe playboy. He's a notorious pervert and shameless flirt who gets off on hitting on every single girl in his sights. I bumped into him a few months ago at the local bath house. He was caught peeking in the girls side of the bath house. I went to take care of him myself. He..."
She trailed off as she continued to grind her teeth, her fists clenching in rage.
"The stupid little prick grouped me and even tried to ask me out as he molested me! I pummeled him into a pulp but the next day he was back on the streets!" She said as she punched the ground so hard that it left a small crater. Nodoka sweat dropped as a small bit of fear came over her. She forgot just how scary Yukika could get when she got mad.
"Ok Yukika, calm down." She said. "Remember, this is a stealth mission. First let's tie these two up and then we can go take care of this Ataru jerk."
Yukika took a dee breath and nodded her head.
"Right."
Back in the restaurant, Ranma was surprised by the order Lum asked for. It was basically every spicy food on the menu, and then asked for more spicy hot sauce to make it spicier! As Ranma watched her eat, he was shocked to see that she didn't even seem bothered by how spicy the food was. In fact, she acted like the food wasn't even spicy at all!
"Wow Lum..." Ranma started. "You...Uh...You really like spicy food huh?" He asked. Lum nodded and smiled.
"Mmmhm! Yep! I love it!" She said as she took another bite.
"But, doesn't it kind of burn your tongue? Even just a little?" He asked. Lum swallowed her food.
"Not really. You see, I can't really taste things unless they're really spicy." She said, causing Ranma gasped.
"Nani!?" He asked. Lum took a sip of her drink.
"You see, my taste buds are kind of numb to the taste of regular foods. I need them to be spicy just so I can taste them. Otherwise, everything is so mild that I can't taste it."
Ranma's eyes went wide. That was one thing he didn't know about Lum. Welp, something to file away in the 'Things to know about my alien girlfriend' section of his brain. As he and Lum were enjoying a nice conversation, Ataru was looking at them from over a menu he grabbed while at his table. He was about to implement a strategy to break them up, when someone came up to his table.
"Parden me sir, but are you ready to order?"
He turned around and was about to say something, when he noticed that the person who spoke was a total BOMBSHELL! Little did he know, it was Ranma's mom Nodoka.
"HELLO SEXY!" He said, then adopted a more, smooth operator type of posture, thinking that he could sweet talk this hot woman.
"I mean, hello sexy thing. I didn't know a beauty like you worked here? Working your way through college?" He asked. Nodoka giggled as she played along. This guy was way too easy to trick, and as much as she hated this guy, she did like the fact that she could make someone think that she was years younger than she actually was.
"Oh my. Such a sweet talking young man. If you want, I can offer you something Not on the menu." She said, giving him a wink.
Poor Ataru was such a fool that he actually thought he was going to get lucky. His hormones had taken a hold of what little brain cells he had to the point that he followed Nodoka to the back of the restaurant and totally forgot about Ranma and Lum. As the grinning idiot turned around the corner that the smirking and winking woman had gone around, he was conked out by a metal pipe, curtesy of Yukika.
"Nice one Yuki." Nodoka said. Yukika smirked as she tied up the serial perv.
"Thanks. Sheesh, you still can make pervy boys melt for you. I still can't figure out why a girl as hot as you settled for some fat oaf like Genma? I mean, I knew you were heart broken after..."
"Please, Yuki. Don't bring him up right now." Nodoka said, her face turning to a very sad and depressed look. Yukika sighed as she knew she shouldn't have brought up the ultimate sore spot for her dear friend.
"I'm sorry. And I'm sorry that I never found out anything about him. I really tried No-chan." Yukika said as she put a hand on Nodoka's shoulder. Nodoka smiled and hugged her friend.
"I know you did Yuki-chan. And I love you for it."
Back with the young couple, Ranma and Lum where just leaving and heading for the dance club. As Nodoka and Yukika watched the two of them walk off, they dragged the unconscious Ataru to the same bunch of bushes that they left Genam and Soun at, and gasped in shock as they found that the two of them were gone!
"WHAT!?" They cried, only to look down behind themselves and found that Ataru was gone too!
"How the heck!?" Yukika cried as she looked at the empty ropes.
"EEERRRRR! I should have known that they'd find some way to get out of those ropes after all the years they spent with that perverted bastard Happosai!" Nodoka chastised herself.
"But how in the heck did Ataru get out!?" Yukika exclaimed.
As the two girls were bereted themselves for letting their enemies get away, the three in question were making a break for it as fast and as quietly as they could.
"Man! How could I have been so stupid as to fall for that sexy lady in the kimono!? And how could she work with that sexy but crazy cop lady!? Damn it!" Ataru said. Genma growled.
"To think, my sweet wife, No-chan, working to keep me away from stopping my stupid son from making a big mistake!"
"Saotome, maybe this is a big mistake. Let's just call it quits." Soun said. "After all, if your wife is calling in the police to help her out, maybe we should just give it up."
It was then that something clicked in Ataru's mind. Wife? What wife? The only other woman he saw was...
"Whoa! Hold up! You mean to tell me that, that woman in the kimono was your wife!?" He exclaimed. Genma looked towards the boy and nodded.
"Yes. That devil woman in the kimono you were talking about was my wife, Nodoka Saotome." Genma said.
"Soon to be ex-wife you mean." Soun said.
"Shut up." Genma growled. Ataru slowed down a bit, his mind trying to wrap itself around what he had just heard.
"HOW in the WORLD did an ugly old geezer like you score with a total bombshell like THAT!?" Ataru cried out. Genma was really starting to lose his patience.
"Would everyone please stop asking me that!? Is it really so hard to believe that I can get with a beautiful woman!?" The bald man cried out. Ataru and Soun took a moment to look at each other before answering.
"Yes." They both said in unison.
Back with Ranma and Lum, the two love birds were just entering the dance club. Lum's eyes lit up as she saw the spacious place full of flashing lights, loud music and young people dancing their hearts out.
"Oh Darling! This place is amazing!" She said. Ranma was happy she was happy, but he honestly felt like a fish out of water. He then felt Lum pulling on his arm as she dragged him out onto the dance floor.
"Come on, Darling! Let's dance!" Lum said.
"Um!" Ranma tried to say as he was yanked out to the floor. "I...I'm not really good at dancing."
Lum just giggled. Ranma could be so cute when he let his guard down and showed his more vulnerable side.
"Luckily for you, I am!" She said as she turned to Ranma and started dancing.
Ranma's jaw dropped as he watched Lum dance. The way she shook her hips to the beat of the music the way she smiled and bounced, Ranma's eyes were in danger of popping out of his head.
'Man...she can really shake it...' Ranma thought to himself.
As he tried to dance alongside Lum, and having a fun time of it, the three idiots of our story snuck into the club, trying their best not to get caught be security. Ataru growled as he watched Ranma dance with his girlfriend.
"That lucky bastard! I should be the one dancing with the alien hottie! Not him!" Ataru growled as he tried to make a break for the two of them. Genma and Soun grabbed at the boy before he could get far.
"Hold on you horny dolt." Genma said. "Remember, we can't just reveal ourselves or else those two might beat us to a pulp again."
"Sheesh, he's almost as bad as our old master." Soun said, only for Genma to bop him over the head.
"Don't you dare jinx anything Tendo." He said. "Now huddle up. We need to use strategy."
And so, the three buffoons tried to sneak out onto the dance floor to split the two teen lovers up. But they failed every time. Each time they tried to take a swipe at Ranma, he would unknowingly dodge and every time they went for Lum, she would dance out of the way.
Ataru tried to go for Lum, but grabbed another girl by mistake. So as to make the most of things, Ataru decided to try flirting with whoever he had just grabbed.
"So baby, come here often? And if not, what's your number so I can call ya later." He said with his usual pervy grin.
"Oh, it's 9-1-1." Said a all too familiar voice. Ataru lost his grin, gulped and looked up to see Yukika Widget glaring back at him.
"AAAAHHHHHH!" He said as he tried to run away, only to find himself handcuffed at the ankles.
"How the hell!?" He asked only to be dragged away by the red-haired police babe.
"Now for your two partners." She said. As for the two in question, Soun and Genma were about to make another swipe at Ranma, only for Genma to feel what felt like the tip of a sword at his back.
"Don't. Even. Think about it. You genetic mistake." Said Nodoka. Genma gulped as he slowly turned around to see his soon to be ex-wife.
"Um. Hello Nodoka. Fancy meeting you here." He said, forcing a smile. She growled at him.
"Yeah. Funny. Isn't it?" She said as she turned to Soun. He gulped and tried to make a break for it, only to bump into Yukika.
"Hello. Going my way?" She asked with an evil grin. Soun put his hands up in defeat.
"I surrender." He said. Later, the three were taken out to a light post and hand cuffed to it.
"That'll keep you three out of trouble until tomorrow. Now, what happened to the restraining order papers you stole?" Yukika asked. The two martial artists gulped as they looked at each other.
"Well, the boy here showed up at the dojo and handed them to us and they, may have, accidentally blown into the fire we were using outside to smoke a fish?" Soun said with a nervous smile.
The two women growled at the long-haired man. They then looked towards Ataru, who was trying to slip out of the handcuffs only to freeze as the two women glared daggers at him. He gulped.
"Um, I can explain...HOLD IT! HOLD IT!" He said as Yukika and Nodoka looked like they were about to let him have it.
"You can't attack a prisoner. That would be police brutality." He said.
"True." Nodoka said, before pulling out a wooden sword. "But I'M not the police!"
The back alleys were soon filled with the sounds of a young boy getting the beating of his life. Meanwhile, Ranma and Lum were leaving the club, it was getting cold out so Ranma took off his red Kung Fu shirt and gave it to her to wrap around herself.
"Well, that was fun." Ranam said as he locked his hands behind his head. Lum nodded as she snuggled up to his shoulder.
"I'll say. I can't wait to do this again." She then looked teasingly at Ranma. "So, did you like watching me dance, Darling?"
Ranma blushed so red he was starting to look like a tomato. He gulped as Lum kept looking at him with those teasingly seductive eyes.
"Um, well, I can honestly say that I was surprised. I mean, I didn't think you could dance like that." He said as his arm found it's way around Lum's waist. She giggled as she kissed Ranma on his cheek.
"If you want, I'll dance for you again sometime." As she said this, Ranma swore that he might just die of a nosebleed if she kept this up.
Lum giggled at the effect she could have on her darling. As they walked towards Ranma's house, Ranma turned to look at Lum, his heart racing in his chest at how pretty she looked. He scratched the back of his head as he tried to hide his blush.
"Well, I guess this concludes our date." He said.
"Not yet." Lum said teasingly as she leaned in close.
"First you have to give me a good night kiss." She said as she pursed up her lips.
Ranma started to panic and gulped hard. He leaned in and kissed Lum on the lips. It was a brief kiss, but it meant the world to the two people who shared it. Once they pulled apart, Lum and Ranma gazed into each other's eyes.
"Well, goodnight Lum-chan." Ranma said. Lum blushed as she hugged Ranma and kissed his cheek.
"Goodnight. My Darling." She said as she flew up to her spaceship, which was still hovering above the house.
Ranma watched her go and sighed. THIS, was the best first date ever. He patted himself on the back as he walked into the house and was not surprised to see his mother sitting at the table drinking tea. What did surprise him was the fact that she wasn't alone.
Sitting down next to her was a woman he had never seen but looked just like Jesse from Team Rocket. Or at least had the same hairstyle as she did. Ranma coughed to get their attention and they stopped drinking to look at him.
"Oh Ranma! Welcome home son." His mother said with a smile.
"Hey mom." He replied. "So, uh, who's our house guest here?"
"Oh! Honey, this is my old friend Yukika. We went to school together and we decided to do a little catching up while you were out on your date." She answered. Yukika put her cup down and looked at Ranma.
"So, you're Nodoka's son that she wouldn't shut up about, huh? Well she was right, you are a rather handsome young man." Her comment made Ranma blush a little.
"Thanks." He said. Nodoka got up and pulled Ranma into a hug.
"So, how did your date go? Huh?" She asked. Yukika got up and walked over to the mother and son pair.
"Yeah, did you sweep her off her feet? Casanova?" She asked. Ranma was so red his shirt looked light red in comparison.
"It, uh, it went great!" He said, trying to pull away from the two questioning women.
"Uh, well, got to go to bed. School tomorrow you know. See ya! Goodnight!" He said as he ran up to his room to escape the two women. When he was gone the two couldn't help but laugh at his reaction.
While Ranma was trying to cool off and Lum was rolling around in her bed from how happy she was, the three would-be date wreckers were dragging themselves to their respective homes. Ataru was the worse for ware, as he had been pounded on by Ranma's mother for several minutes for trying to ruin her son's first date.
As for Soun and Genma, they were horrified, because now they had to go in front of a judge and explain their involvement with the dissaperance of the restraining order that was set up against them. And worse of all for Genma, tomorrow he had to start looking for a REAL job to pay the child support and alimony!
"This night was worse than the times our old master would leave us to clean up his messes after one of his panty raids." Soun said.
"Hush Tendo!" Genma shouted at his friend. "Don't tempt fate by bringing up that monster of a master of ours! Believe me, I'd rather face my soon to be ex-wife and that crazy friend of hers again than go through another day with that bastard."
Ataru, while grumbling to himself, couldn't help but listen to the two older men as they brought up what a monster their old teacher was. If he was really so terrible, he wondered if maybe he could take care of that jackass woman stealer Ranma? A thought to put aside for a rainy day, right now, he just wanted to go home!
