Pokémon: Ash Ketchum's New Adventure
Chapter 5: A Champion's Path
Ash and his friends ran to the gym, Ash has already gotten a strategy in place and what Pokémon he will be using. He excitedly ran to the doors, grabbed the handles and opened them. The Gym was huge! The battlefield was clean, so clean that a trainer can eat off these floors. Trophies for his achievements in the Military and the Pokémon Leagues. Ash saw a trophy that read '1998 KALOS LEAGUE', Ash saw many awards, metals and achievements that were commended for his and his Pokémon's bravery and service while being in the Military. Ash looked at the white doors, the handles were silver with the large Gym logo on it, painted with the colors of red, black and white.
He breathed in and out and saw the floors were polished and clean. Ash saw some jerseys of his favorite soccer players and Pokémon champions. Ash was surprised when he saw his name and number framed up on the wall. "Hey, Ash! you have a fan!" Goh said. Bonnie looked around the Gym. Everyone else looked at the Gym, "Where's the gym leader?" Ash asked.
"Hey, you called for me?" The man said, walking out. He was a skinny, tan man with blue eyes and a beard, he wore army boots, camo pants and a military jacket and a kind smile. He also had a Rolex on his left hand. Goh noticed that he had a KeyStone embedded in his watch. Ash smiled. He was going to Mega evolve his Pokémon. Ash was probably going to use his Mega Lucario for this battle.
He was excited about that. Then, the man spoke. "Hi, my name is Daniel, I'm the Gym Leader here." he said, putting his hands on his hips. Daniel then spoke. "Who is here to challenge me?"
"I am." Ash said. Daniel was wide eyed, he couldn't believe that he was meeting the legendary Ash Ketchum, who won both the Alola League and the World Coronation Series.
"Hello!" Ash said happily, Daniel took his hand and shook it. He smiled. "So, Ash, are you here to challenge me? If you are, let's see what you can do." he said, flashing a smile. Ash smiled also.
Ash and Daniel were on their respective sides. Daniel was ready, as well as Ash. The referee stood in the middle of the floor on a hoverboard, He wore a white polo shirt, on that polo shirt had a Gym symbol on it. as well as a bigger symbol on the back of his shirt, then the man clears his throat.
"The battle between Ash Ketchum of Pallet Town and Daniel Cohen of Tel Aviv is about to get underway! Each trainer will use three Pokémon! substitutions are allowed. The battle will be over as soon as other trainers' Pokémon are unable to continue, trainers! bring out your Pokémon!" Pikachu was standing by his friend's feet. He was about to walk over to the battlefield. Ash looked at him and sadly smiled at his partner.
"Sorry, Pikachu… You can't help this time." As Pikachu was about to intervene. The gym leader went first, bringing out brought out his Rampardos. The fossil Pokémon cried out as he stared at his opponent. "Maybe next time. Okay?" Ash asked. Pikachu nods and sat out. He pulled out a Poké Ball from his belt and threw it, calling out; "Sirfetch'd, I choose you!" He said, the Galarian Pokémon popped out, holding his leek and shield.
The referee looked at both Gym Leader and Champion and lowered both red and green flags down, simultaneously saying; "Battle begin!"
As Ash had the first move. Daniel watched with his arms crossed. Goh, Chloe, Serena, Clemont, Bonnie, Gal and Jordy were sitting on the bleachers. Dedenne was on top of the wall with his Pokémon friends. Clemont was watching both of them, he hoped all that training they did a few hours ago paid off.
"Crunch, let's go!" Rampardos lunged forward at Sirfetch'd. But, as soon as he was about to attack the Galarian Pokémon. Ash gave him a command; "Fury Cutter!" Sirfetch'd raised his leek and started attacking, shooting out green energy as he sliced through the air. Rampardos took the hit, but the fossil Pokémon didn't take much damage.
Daniel smiled. "Use Hammer Arm!" he said. Rampardos' hand glowed white, he ran towards the Galarian.
"Dodge it, then use Meteor Assault!" Ash commanded.
Sirfetch'd points his leek towards Rampardos, he channeled all of his power and fired all of it onto Rampardos. "Dodge it, then use Hyper Beam!" Ash's eyes went wide as he herd this. Rampardos opened his mouth and started storing up energy. Ash needed to move! Then he got it! "Sirfetch'd use Meteor Assault, again! Aim it at the Hyper Beam!" Rampardos' Hyper Beam then shot out. Sirfetch'd used the move again as he hit its target. The attack was too strong as the attack caused smoke to arise from the battlefield. Daniel's hands bawled into fists as he waited for the smoke to clear.
Daniel saw the swirls in his knocked-out partner's eyes. Daniel brought out his Poké Ball and a beam of red light shot out the middle. "Rampardos, return." the light retracted back into the ball as he held it up and smiled softly. "You did well, get a good rest." He put Rampardos' Poké ball back on his belt and got out another one, he threw it up into the air.
"Tyranitar, come out!"
A large green steel Pokémon stood there, he roared. Daniel crossed his arms and smiled. "Tyranitar, use Fire Fang!" He said. Fire poured out of his mouth as he charged to Sirfeche'd.
"Dodge that, then use Brutal Swing!" Sirfeche'd dodged to the other side of the field, he threw his grass shield at Tyranitar. Daniel didn't flinch. Daniel then told Tyranitar to dodge the attack and use a move. "Use Dig, then follow it up with shadow claw!" Tyranitar did as instructed, he rigged through the battlefield, when he surfaced. Sirfeche'd wasn't itches from him. When he was about to attack, Ash took the opportunity.
Ash grinned "This is fun don't you think? Alright, Sirfeche'd, dodge it, then use Brutal Swing again!" Sirfeche'd threw his glass shield again, hitting Daniel's Pokémon on the head. The Armor Pokémon went down with a thud, Daniel saw the swirls in his eyes as he pulled out another Poké Ball. He called out his ace Pokémon. "Steelix, let's go!" He said, A large iron snake Pokémon towered over the battlefield.
"Steelix, use Hyper Beam!" Daniel commanded.
Steelix opened his mouth, an orange beam of light is all what Ash saw. Then he fired at his Pokémon.
"Sirfeche'd—" before Ash could call out an attack, Steelix's hyper beam hit Sirfeche'd with a powerful blow, Ash saw Sirfeche'd get slammed onto one of the walls of the gym. Ash saw his Pokémon go down, Ash recalled his Pokémon and brought out his second Pokémon. Daniel was wondering what the Champion had up his sleeve.
"Dracovish, I choose you!" Ash smiled as he threw another Poké Ball onto the field. "Draco! Dracovish!" The Pokémon said happily as he was ready to battle.
Daniel smiled and laughed, he was having so much fun with this battle already, then he said; "I was going easy on you, and now. I'm not holding back any longer. Ash, now you're going to experience my true power!" Daniel took off his military jacket and tossed it to the side. He saw him in the same green colored t-shirt as his jacket. Ash, with a look of determination in his eyes, wanted to end this battle and get his first badge.
"Let's go Dracovish, Water Gun!" Dracovish sprayed Steelix with a powerful water gun. Steelix wasn't praised by this, Clemont and his friends watched from the sidelines.
Goh clenched his fists, excitement bubbling over him as the battle was getting fired up. With a powerful Dark Pulse: Ash told Dracovish to use Dragon Rush.
Draovish did as commanded. A blue light hurled toward Steelix. "Use dig, Steelix!" Daniel said Steelix used his head to borrow down. He saw his Pokémon reach Ash's. Dracovish jumped up and landed on the other side of the floor.
"Use Ice Fang!" He said Dracovish ran up to Steelix and used the move, biting down hard on Steelix's body, Daniel smirked. Clemont knew what was going to happen. Daniel raised up his left hand; he took two fingers and tapped it onto his KeyStone. "Steelix! Mega Evolve!" Goh was freaking out. Now this battle is going to get interesting!
A\N: Hey guys! I hope you guys are enjoying this story so far. I LOVE making it. I hope you all like this chapter. Next up is going to be Ash and Daniel's Mega Evolution battle! (Sorry if the battles aren't coming out so well, I suck at writing out Pokémon battles in extreme detail). But anyway, I hope you all enjoy this chapter. I'm thinking of taking a break on this story for now and focusing on the story "Changing All At Once" And I'm going to go to Miami and bringing my laptop with me so I'll be able to work on these fics for you guys.
