in the Tunnel of Arso, Nighttime. a Car driving through the tunnel in cruising speed. the person turns on the radio to a report of the royal peace treaty.
"Lady Aluna has come to Arso to the witness treaty along side her soon-to-be husband Contis. With large quantities of Imperial army has come here causing the citizen to nervous to even leave their homes. Rumors speculate that the guards would be attacking but they've denied any baseless accusation. the treaty would starting in 3 hours but the king would say it's early that usual"
The news caster has gone off to another story. the person turn off radio as they sigh in annoyance.
"sorry about that, all this talk about peace and shit gets tiring. like i said to myself they be stupid to invade this city." said the man driving
"it's quite fine, if they would ever to invade it would be a blood bath." the customer said with a small sinister tone
"Well let's just hope" said the taxi driver said lastly as they continued to the destination.
After few minutes later, the driver stops and the customer paid for the fare. The customer walks toward to crowd of people on various stalls of food. the man pulls out a hat out of nowhere and puts it on his head revealing Chancellor Ryko with a smirk. He walks toward a statue of four people with sword put their point with other emblems of respective nations
"Coming together to Fall together, some day this world will see darkness" he foretold and a chuckle escapes his mouth
in the Citadel, Team RWBY are patrolling around the Ball room and having light conversation with the guest. in the distance, a man with a mohawk is with Aluna having a friendly talk with other.
"Lady Aluna, are you sure about this?" he questioned
"Fray, i told you that i'm happy to be together with Contis"
"I know but you're life-"
"is my own and i'll give it all for all" she interrupted "just don't think about it too much"
Fray sighs as the peer out the window to the lit up city and reminisces about the past while Aluna pats his shoulder and leaves him alone to his thoughts. as Frey was thinking, one of the members of Team RWBY which was Weiss approaches him with a cup of water.
"Good to see you, Frey" said Weiss "Being alone again?"
"Oh.. just thinking that's all." Frey responds
"Thinking huh? you better be thinking about tomorrows speech for the charity ball."
He chuckled at her comment "Here i thought you out grown parties"
"Maybe but this one is important, this could help Arso reputation but i'm guess being the Captain of the Chronicle is too busy for speeches"
"hehe, i assure you i'll be fine"
"Good, i wanna see the disciple and poise that my son described" she said lastly as she leave him alone.
He smiles and peers back at the window. as he was seeing out at the window ,saw a fleet of imperial battleships as it drops pods on the city and screams filled the city and the attendance noticed as they look outside the windows. He then run to the middle of the ball room and shouted
"Everybody, evac-" before he could finish, a large explosion went off and destroyed the ball room. The floor gave out and it starts slides down the citadel and the attendance also slide down outside. He summons his weapon as he stabs it onto the floor to stop sliding, he asses his surrounding and he saw Aluna falling. He removed the weapon and points it under her as he teleport to her and grabs her then teleports to a near by balcony. he gently put down her down and looked at the former Ball room and saw Team RWBY trying desperately save the other attendances which didn't go as well.
"Fray, we need to find King Edgar" she suggested "They can handle it."
"Right behind you" he agreed and they head inside. they find themselves at the hallway filled with imperials robots shoot them down, They hid in one of the rooms to avoid the gunfire. Fray summons his weapon and he starts picking off the robots one by one with Aluna using magic to support him until they reached to the other end and entered the elevator and closed it and pressed the button two floors down to there current floor.
in the War Room, High commanders and there respective leaders having a standoff with there weapons out pointing to each other. Alexander sneered at Edgar while pointing his pistol to him.
"What is the meaning of this?!" Edgar yelled
"You know why Edgar." Alexander said demanding tone
"You're wasting your time...Only a true King can handle it"
"HA! the true king is me!" he shouted as he shot his gun and all hell broke loose.
Everyone in the room attacked one another in a mess of bullets flying and swords clashing.
Back to Fray, they kept on head for the king until they got caught in an explosion and they went flying on the opposite wall. on the exploded wall, A huge figure with armor and large weapon. the figure starts walking towards Fray and Aluna with a menacing stare. Both Frey and Aluna got into a fighting stance and readies for an attack. The figure swings it's sword into the overhead and toward the duo which they dodge out of the attack then Frey counters with a throw of his knife towards the figure and teleports closer does a horizontal slash across the body which didn't made it flinch but an oncoming fireball made it flinch. Aluna summons more elements to overwhelm it while Frey hits it in between the elemental attacks. the figure then had enough scream loudly causing the duo to stop then it crash it's weapon on the ground, causing a shockwave and pieces of the ground came along. the duo got caught in the shockwave. the duo lands near a fountain while Frey recovered, Aluna got knocked out and her aura shattered.
"Princess!" he shouted
He rushes towards the unconscious Aluna and right before he could reach her, large piece of debris crash against him and he went far. He slowly stood up and the figure is now standing over Aluna and it's starts the motion to stab her but before it could reach her, Frey quickly teleports on the bottom edge of the blade and clash with each other which his struggling with the position his in. The figure push it's weapon and Frey is getting more weaker and as about to breakthrough to Frey's defense a shot of lightning made the figure push in the far distance. Frey looks behind him an saw Contis with a angry look.
"Prince! why are you? should you supposed in islands!" he said
"never mind me, take her to my father. he'll explain" Contis told Frey as he walks toward the figure with fire on his eyes.
Frey slings Aluna arm over his shoulder and moves her to the main building. Aluna became conscious again and looks around then lands it to Frey's face.
"Frey...? what happened...? where are we..." she asked drowsily
"were almost there" he replies
"oh..., can..can you put me down a bit..."she asked
Frey nodded and places her on a small seat next to the elevator and she clutches her head while looking down with sadness.
"let me rest for a bit." she said tiredly
"take a bit, we need to the king quickly" he commented
Aluna looks at her hands and seeing it was shaking which she tries to calm it down my rubbing it with each other then clutch it and pressing it on her head and breath in and out. the elevator dings and the door opens up.
"How could this happened..."
"I don't know"
After a few seconds of rest, she slowly stood up with a bit of stumbling but she stabilize her balance quickly
"i'm good, let go" she said and they went to the war room.
They into a open elevator and press the fifth floor then the door closes. inside the elevator, Frey looks at Aluna who was look at the door with sadness which caused him to feel her but he kept it inside and looked back the elevator screen.
on the fifth floor, the elevator opens up and the duo exit it and they heads for the war room. they reach the room and the door is blasted open with a body in front of the blown door. Aluna recoils in fear while Frey walks into the room and saw two people fighting and one of them is King Edgar. Aluna stops by the door frame.
"King Edgar! over here!" he shouted which caused Edgar to see Frey and teleports to Frey as the weapon of the attacker. Frey moves Edger behinds him and readies his weapon and the attacker redirects it's attention to Frey.
"Ahhh, Lap dog of Florain. it seem you want a death wish." the attacker said with a threating voice then he charges to Frey with it weapon raised high.
"be careful" Edgar said and he nodded to him and he retreats to Aluna
As the attackers gets closer, Frey runs towards to the attacker and ready for a fight. The attacker swings it's sword horizontally but Frey slide under the swing and transfers behind the attacker. he quickly stood up and strikes it on the back with a flurry of slashes. as he finish his attack, the attacker quickly turns around with it's weapons also follows up which caused Frey block the attack but it knocked him back a long distance. He quickly recovered then throws his weapon to the attacker and teleports to the attacker and attack it but the attacker parried his attack then followed it up with a swift slash across and he didn't expect the sudden attack causing him to fly on to the other side of the room. as he lands, he check his hand to see it his aura shattered. he slowly stood up and presses a button the blades retracts and out came a plasma blades then throws it to the attacker which it tries to block it but it just cuts through the sword which in turn also cuts through the attacker, killing it.
Frey breaths heavily as he walks towards his weapons. he see the body dissolving on the ground which it was a very unsettling, he picks up his weapons and walks toward King Edgar and Aluna.
"i said be careful" Edgar commented
"you know i never was" he joked which caused both to chuckle.
The Trio leaves the war room and on the back of the elevator. Frey press the button for the ground floor. Edgar groans in pain and Aluna checks on him to see his side to be bleeding. she was about to heal him but he raised his hand
"no need, Aluna"
"but-"
"my time is almost coming and i want my last not to be extended. I'll have one last wish for you, take this." He then reaches for her hand and places it a small ring
"it's the Ring..."
"Hold on to it and when time comes, give it to him"
She clutches and places her hand on her chest with tears flowing then hugs Edgar tightly.
"i-i will"
Frey smiled at the tender moment but i got interrupted by the sudden halt of the elevator. Frey readies his weapons as they a back away from the door then suddenly everything went black.
Sounds, Sounds of screams. Frey open his eyes and see a bunch of debris. he groggily stood up and looking around then saw Aluna's and Edgar's body which he rushes towards the body, no matter how battered his body is. he reached them and check for their pulses. He relived that Aluna is alive but he felt dread as he saw a large wound on his back and he balled his hand into a fist.
"For what life is living a lie.." said a voice behind him
He saw a dark figure from a distance with the air gotten colder. he scrambles find the ring on the ground, he finally found it and grabs it. the dark figure body starts fading into a familiar person. His eyes widens in shock from the reveal.
"Chancellor Ryko! Your behind this!?" he yelled
"Awww, is someone cranky?" he teased
"what? your joking at time like this!"
"You're no fun...at a time like this, we should be celebrating the death of the False King" He insults as he walks towards him
Frey then holds up his hand while also holding up the ring besides it and he stops in fear
"If you want the ring, then pry it from my hands" he theatens
"you don't know that power of that ring" Ryko said
"then it's fine if i use then" he said as he puts on the ring then his body went in to flames and he screams bloody murder to which Ryko smirks at him.
"That was stupid" he said with smug smile "now before you croak, i'll telling you this." he then lean in to his ear and whispered "tHe DaRKnEss is BaCk"
Ryko turns his back to Fray and walks with smug look on his face but before he could walk any further, something strike against his back which hurts him a bit. Ryko turns around and saw Fray still in flames but his eyes are grey glowing and Ryko smirks.
"and so he finally shown himself"
"The Serpent. for what purpose thy bring the dark into the light" He demanded in a voice of different people
"Betrayal.." He responds "You Kings and Queen, living off a lie"
Frey's body didn't respond and just holds up his hand up then out came multiple of blue colored weapons hurling towards. Ryko smirks as he just stood there and took all the blades in and absorb all of it.
"what a delicious meal. Let me pay you" he said as he hurls is own weapons but in a blood red color. Frey blocks all the incoming attacks with a barrier.
Ryko laughs sinisterly and said "You Kings and Queens, shield yourselves aren't gonna hold."
He then made his attack much more powerful which made the barrier to crack faster and faster and Frey struggles to hold it up until it broke and some of the weapons stabs into him and he scream out in pain which caused him to return to normal. Frey's body is burnt to a crisp with some of his bone are charred.
"w-why.." He muttered as he laid flat on his back and Ryko teleports to him. Ryko stood to the side of his vision and just smiles at him
"Blame you're Masters" he said as he lifts his leg and stomps his head causing everything went dark.
