Chapter 11:
The Gamekeeper's hut, though big, was actually cozy, and the Half-Giant, Hagrid, was an excellant host!
Of course, he was hosting his daughter and her boyfriend!
"So!" Hagrid asked Naru in Japanese with just a touch of a British accent, "How is your Okaasan, Naru-tenshi? It has been years since I was able to hold Kana-Sama! I have so missed my Tenshi."
"She is well, Tousan!" Naru answered after finishing her bowl of mutton-stew. "Wishes to be with you, again."
"Thank you for the stew, Hagrid-kyojin!" Umino smiled as he mopped up the last of the broth. "It is good!"
"The stew may be a bit gamey?" Hagrid smiled. "But? It stays with ye through the cold months!"
"What is native-language, Kyojin-Sama?" Umino asked the giant as he adjusted his glasses. "Accent does not sound Scottish! Does not sound English dano! How did you meet kaasan-do-Naru dano?"
"Gurio-Kun! So many questions!" Naru almost assaulted her boyfiend! "You have just met tousan! Wish to be tossed out of hut before we can go into forest for interviews? How will Hime make allies?"
Hagrid chuckled at his hyperventillating daughter! "That is quite alright, my tenshi! Master Gurio is only tryin' to get to know his future father-in-law, that' all! You have a good ear, young Umino! Heheh. Not many can speak the Old Brithonic! But? The Giants and the night-creatures of Britian still do! Those who haven't been able to intregrate, anyway! The rest of us? We tend to grow up listening to our families adapt to our adopted-language! Whatever it is.
"As how for I met Naru's mum? Now, there's a story! And? It wouldn't have happened it I hadn't 'failed' Hogwarts'! Anyway, it started when I was accused of aiding a rising dark-lord, and got my wand snapped as for me being a disgrace! HA! Best thing to happen to me!
"Well? After that happened? The one what accused me and his friends? They said that I didn't fit into the Magical-World, with me being half-Giant, and? I should go to explore the Muggle-World while I could still pass for a big Muggle! So? That's what I did! I crossed the seas, and I walked the land, until I reached China and the East! Then? I crossed into the Japanese Islands. The people there seemed more accepting of their demons, or 'youkai', then the British were! So, I wasn't that afraid if I continued to grow! Then, I moved into Tokyo. And, I met Oosaka Kana-chan!
"Kana was a beauty! And? Probably? Still is!" Hagrid smiled as he looked down at Naru. "A Shinto maiden, and a folklorist what studied the ancient tales of the islands! When I started growing, again, she listened to my story of my native island and just took me for who I was! She married me, and then, in a year? We met my little angel! Unfortunately? Dumbledor found me and said I was needed back home! So? I had to say 'Sayonara' to my Kana! But? I promised to help her and our Daughter in anyway I could! That included making a home for our pup if she ever popped up here! And, here she is!"
Hearing how her father ended his tale, Naru and Umino both fell into a giggle-fit!
"Quiet, you two wiggle-worms!" Hagrid grinned. "We have the first class of the day coming in, third-years! Gryffendors and Ravenclaws, this semester. Last semester? Gryffender and Slytherin couldn't be in the same subject, together!"
"I wonder why?" Naru and Umino whispered at the same time.
As Hagrid stepped outside the hut to introduce the latest subject to the classes, Naru and Umino heard an argument heating up just outside the hut:
"Just keep your distance from me, Ginerva PREWITT! And, keep your mis-guided opinions of Tsukino Usagi-Sama to yourself!"
"I KNEW it!" Ginnie Weasley all but screamed. "I KNEW that DEMONESS Tsukino would STEAL you from me! Like she stole my Harry and Hermoine! My Harry's not MINE, anymore, Luna! And, Hermoine won't even SPEAK to me! Just follows the KINO-Jap-thing around like a little puppy!"
'Jap-thing?' Umino mouthed to Naru.
"Lord Potter was NEVER yours - Prewitt - until MOLLY PREWITT tried to fill him with Love-Potions! As for the Lady Granger? She has only taken her rightful-place at Lord Potter's side, as you seemed to have left his side?"
'Do not like Weasel.' Naru mouthed. 'Do not like Weasel. Do not like Weasel.'
"But? Granger was supposed to be Ron's!" Ginerva Weasley moped. "Dumbledore promised. Hermoine was supposed to by MY friend!"
"Ginerva Prewitt?" Luna Lovegood responded. "I am ashamed to have EVEN been your friend! Harry was the first friend Miss Granger ever MADE here! And, Hermoine Granger has STOOD by Harry when no other Gryffendor would! Including you. As for being Ronald's? 'Master' PREWITT still needs diapers! He doesn't need a lover, he needs a wet-nurse! And, besides? Lady Hermoine may have been 'given' to Lord Ronald? But, from what I've heard, he never actually, claimed her, did he? Does he even have the equipment to? Or? Is it that he doesn't think along those lines?"
"You.. you... take that back!" Ginerva sputtered. "And, give us back our proper-names! "It's 'WEASLEY', Malfoy! Not "PREWITT'!"
"Want to be called a 'Weasley' - Miss Prewitt?". Luna Lovegood asked coyly.
Naru and Umino watched throuh holes in the wall and watched Luna turn her heel up to Ginerva and walk closer to her adopted-Gryffendors, Minako and Rei:
"Then, start acting like a Weasley! And, for your information, and Ronald's," Luna turned her head to respond to Ginerva, "My mother's family-name holds no revulsive-powers over me! I do not fear it!"
Naru and Umino then slid to the floor of the hut and wreathed in giggles!
"And, what, in the name of Merlin, was that about?" Hagrid thundered.
"Nothing, Hagrid! Nothing!" Weasley replied in a shakey voice. "A.. misunderstanding! It shall not happen, again?"
"If.. it does?" Umino gasped between giggles. "baka.. will die?"
Naru nodded her head and snickered. "If.. certain Gryffendoro.. overheard?"
After the class was over, Rubeus Hagrid slipped back into his hut for some tea:
"Either of you two eavesdroppers know what that was about?"
"Hai!" Naru grinned up to her father. "Usa-hime considers me 'safe-confidente', again, after coming home for Winter-break! When she learned me and Umino-kun knew she was Senshi. Weasel called Usagi 'Demon', hai! Senshi have been on 'Weasel-hunt' ever since! Weasel said Ami-chan was 'possessed'. Usagi told me she overheard, hai! Put Weasel on 'Watch-list'."
"'Possessed'?" Hagrid perked up, and whispered. "I remember hearing that at the Sorting. What did old Snape do about it? What did his wife do? And how did Granger get involved? Since Ginnie shouted Miss Granger is no longer speaking to her!"
"Long story short, Hagrid-Sama?" Umino grinned. "Hermoine-chan became property of Makoto-San, and became friends with Usa-Hime! Hai."
"An', how is Harry involved?" Hagrid whispered, conspiritorially.
"Harry-kun asked for Usa-Hime's protection, I think?" Naru smiled. "Wears collar Usa-Hime had me and kaasan make for her!" She then lost her smile with a far-away look. "Harry-kun said friends and protectors were no longer - friends and protectors?"
"'Eard about that." Hagrid rumbled like a distant-thunder. "Granger-chan still with 'im?"
"Still by his side!" Naru grinned and nodded. "Like 'house-elf'! Makoto-chan's description!"
And, Rubeus Hagrid roared with laughter!
"As for how Ami-chan's parents handle Weasley? Leave it for Senshi to solve!" Naru smiled like a cat. "Just waiting to see how deep Weasel Ginnie digs grave!"
"An', how is Miss Lovegood involved?" Hagrid asked.
"Do not know?" Naru replied. "Way she moved to Hino ano Aino demo? Between them? Senshi involved!"
"Maybe, we ask her?" Umino suggested.
"Might ask?" Naru thought. "After negotiations with Okamii ano Kyongshi?"
"Well?" Hagrid said. "We'll talk of this later! 'Ere comes the next class."
"Hear Usagi!" Naru whispered excitedly.
"Young Tsukino Usagi is the best in her 'ouse, she is!" Hagrid beamed. "Gentle with all the creatures she handles, an' as kind and gentle with the other students! Slythern an' Hufflepuff! I think she must be an Empath! Ol' Helga Hufflepuff would've been proud to know her, I think?"
"Hai!" Umino smiled. "Lunarians are like that! Empathic."
After the last classes of the day, Usagi, Makoto, Ami, Uwada Ryu, Harry, and Hermoine headed of Hagrid's to discuss the day's happenings:
"Doko Rei-chan? Doko Mina-chan?" Umino asked the other three Senshi.
"They are with Lovegood Luna-chan!" Usagi said. "Trying to calm her enoough to stop condemning Weasley Ginnie-baka to Hell! Hai."
"Baka needs no aid going there, iie." Amelia Katherina Seraphim Snape-Mizuno explained. "Curses hurt the one sending them as much as the one receiving them, parents explain! Why me ano Owner have not bothered cursing Weasels!"
"Heard Argument outside wall!" Umino nodded. "Luna-chan wanted to stay quiet, I think. Weasel could not stay quiet demo."
"Dad says quiet-gene cannot be found in Prewitt-baka-tachi." Ami groused.
"I would agree, Amelia-Chan! Hai!" Rei snapped as she came through the door, followed by Luna Lovegoood and Minako. "Ginerva-Donkey did not even TRY to lower voice? Wanted everyone on island to hear, I think! Let us bray?"
"I think she wanted everyone to believe I had been ensorcelled?" Luna giggled at the memory. "You would have to be an idiot to lose your mind so completely to a sorcerer or sorceress! And, that is to a MASTER of Sorcery! No offence, your Highness!"
"Am not offended, Luna-chan!" Usagi grinned. "Have not studied dark-sorcery! Do not intend to, iyaa."
"Your Highness, If you wouldn't mind?" Hagrid spoke in a low voice. "If I may intrude? I heard Luna arguing with Ginnie Weasley, and? It would help my heart if I knew why! I've been told the 'why' is a painful tale, so? I'm asking if you would let Miss Luna tell it? Please?"
"It does hurt." Usagi replied to Hagrid. "Not as much as it used to, demo! Reporter may report?"
"Thank you, Your Highness!" Luna Lovegood bowed, then she stood in the storyteller's circle in the middle of the Gamekeeper's Shack, slipping off her shores:
"The story began of the moon, over a thousand years ago! Usagi of Luna, daughter of Serenity the 7th of Luna, was the second child, and first girl, of the Queen of the Lunari, and Empess of the Silver Millenium! Her father was Xillas, a foreign noble residing on Luna, and Usagi's Elder-Brother was Shinobi, Heir-Apperant of Luna! And? as Heir-Apparent, Crown-Prince Shinobi had started to gather the future-court that were to protect him and aide in his rule! His first Senshi- and, I found a tome that mentioned the earlier-senchi - was Aerouant of Mercury. Aerouant brought along his foster-sister, Tegorma, to help him keep in communication with their home-planet. Well? Tegorma became fast-friends with the young Princess, Usagi! Which was good, because dark days came, as first Xillas, and then Shinobi and Arouant, vanished fron Luna. Completely!"
Ami began to shed tears. And Usagi enveloped her in a tight hug:
"It will be alright, imouto!" Usagi whispered. "You are not alone. Iie. I am here. For you."
"The disappearances of Shinobi and Aerouant, or 'Arwent'," Lovegood continued, "meant that Usagi and Tegorma were elevated to Crown-Princesses of Luna and Mercury! It, also meant - unfortunately - that Tegorma grew up alone! Or? Would have? If not for being the Protectoress of Princess Usagi! The two Princesses became friends, and the friends became sisters."
"And, the other Senshi, your Highness?" Hagrid asked Usagi.
"The other Senshi became sisters as they joined Court!" Usagi smiled slightly. "Never told why, however, never told entire story. Never asked."
Makoto, Rei, and Minako looked to Amelia Katherina Seraphim, and then to Usagi:
"No wonder Ami was first Senshi!" Minako smiled.
"Always wondered why Usagi and Ami felt like sisters?" Rei asked. "Never thought to ask fire?"
"Ami ano Usagi WERE sisters!" Makoto nodded.
"Will stay sisters, hai!" Naru growled.
"No matter WHAT Dumbadoro-baka says!" Ryu snickered.
"Ryu-kun?" Ami shily moved to the young man and caressed his face with her fingertips. "Aerwen?"
"Hai, my Tegorma, my Ami-chan." Ryu smiled. "Was Aerwen? Now, Ryu? Always your dragon."
"Hai. Always." Amelia Katherina Seraphim shily smiled. Then, she looked at Umino and Naru, then started to giggle lightly:
"Usagi-hime.. hihihi! Just realized.. hihihi.. this is all set-up! Xillas set this up... hihihi... long ago! My doragon! Kyongshi as
butler.. hihi.. ookami as chambermaid!"
"Hai." Usagi grinned knowingly. "When old home becomes unlivable? Set up new home! Hagrid Rubeus-Sama? Make dinner, onegai? Then? We get to work warning neighbors! Naru-chan? Speak to ookami! Umino-kun? Speak to kvongshi!"
"Who wishes.. to speak to the wolves?" A low growl came from outside. "Rubeus? I smell mutton! And, extra guests?"
"Your nose still works, Friend-Fenrir!" Hagrid said in a friendly-tone. "Come in and say 'Hello' to my daughter and her friends! It's them who want to to speak to your tribe! My daughter is visiting a friend, here, and is playing her messenger!"
"Ah!" Fenrir raised an eyelid after taking another sniff. "So! You are little Naru! Visiting a friend, are you? You haven't become old Dumbledor's hostage, have you?"
"Iyaa! Am not jinshitsu-no-Dumbadoro, yet!" Naru said after a sip of coffee. "Do not plan on becoming jinshitsu! Wondered if Dumbadoro-baka took jinshitsu?"
"The whole school is hostage to that old cadaver!" Fenrir growled, and pointed to Harry Potter and Heroine Granger. "Just ask Harry and his mate, there!"
"How we learn about Dumbadoro!" Naru nodded. "Usagi wrote letter asking me and kaasan to make collars, telling world Harry and Hermoine have new owners, hai! New protectors."
"I'd bet good money Dumbeldor and his spies are going to love learning about that!" The old werewolf grinned.
"Spies already know, Fenrir-Sama!" Umino said in as straight a face as he could make and keep. "Shots fired!"
Makoto, Minako, Rei, and a barefoot Luna Lovegood giggled.
"Anything hit?" Fenrir asked, with a hungry grin on his face.
"Spy sighted", Umino reported, "spy sunk!"
"So?" Fenrir chuckled, "Who wishes to speak to the pack?"
"Me!" Usagi snapped to attention. "Tsukino Usagi, reporting for duty! Hai. Was going to send my Agent to introduce me! Oosaka Naru-chan, musume-no-Hagrid Rubeus! May still go with me! Send second agent, Gurio Umino-Kun, to introduce me to vampires! Serenity-Kaasan was not able to aide night-creatures of Earth, one-thousand years ago, as she had before! Iyaa! Moon was massacred. Had to wait for rebirth in timestream!"
"I have heard.." Fenrir finally spoke, choking on a tear, "our.. Elders lament the death of the moon. For ages.. they.. sensed it. So, I think, have the vampires."
"Time to tell clans," Usagi piped up, "that Luna is ready to repay our debts! Hope witches are ready to pay-off theirs!"
Then, she turned to Uwada Ryu:
"Ryu-kun! Have place to stay, tonight?"
"Hai, Tsukino Usagi-hime!" Ryu smiled. "Will be stayinng with future-in-laws! McGoniga-no-Gryffendoro will be helping hide my presence from Headmaster. When Xellos ano Filia return me to castle! Kukuku."
Later, as Umino had went up into the bat-rookeries, Usagi and Naru were preparing to entreaty in the den of the werewolves of the Enchanted Forest surrounding Hogwarts and Hogsmead:
"Pardon the precaution, your Highness," Fenrir Greyback bowed courteously, "but! I have smelled of you, and your agent! I have put trust to your word? but there may, yet, be members of my pack that still have suspicions of Hogwarts'!"
"I know from what birthed those suspicions! Hai. Hat laft me alone in Slytherin, left guys in Gryffendor without friend! Just like it left Potter Harry in Gryffendor! To whims of Dumbadoro! World-of-Magic uses what it takes until there is no more to use! Throws out husks dano!"
"You speak of hurtful things, Hime-no-Tsuki." Greyback spoke soothingly. "We wolves must see how much - hurt - you have seen! You and your agent? Extend your paws! The blood.. speaks much. But, first? Strip and bear yourselves, Usagi and Naru!"
Usagi and Naru dutifully undressed, totally, and extended their wrists, and - after being examined and sniffed - bitten!
"You are free of the taint of Dumbledore, Lady Oosaka, daughter of the half-giant, Hagrid!" an elder-bitch spoke up. "You are also, bathed in the magics of Luna, which we in the pack follow! We shall hear you, O Agent of the Lunari!"
"As we shall listen to thee, O Daughter of the Serenities!" An ancient wolf spoke. "Plead thy case before us!"
"Thank you, O Elder!" A naked Usagi then scanned the grounds and trees. "Two thousand years ago, as Earth-bound Mortals measure time, the Wolves, and Vampyri and the Goblin-nations and their kin were in a war of survival with the Magicals of Brittania, at which time the Lunari under my mother, still a young girl - at about my age - and her Okaasan, Serenity the 5th, were able to come to the aide of the Moon's children, and struck a balance between the sides that allowed for a peace. However? A thousand years later, the Moon could not come to your aide when the Magicals again declared war! Why? Because, The Lunari, as a nation, were no more! Destroyed, as you, by warring neighbors. As a dying witch, my mother, Queen Serenity the 6th, used the last of her life-force to send me and my court-in-training into the time-stream.
"Now? after many battles, my Court and I have been sent to Earth. It is here, one and a half years ago, that one Albus Dumbeldor did decide to use my magics, those of the Moon, in schemes to prolong his power, his fame, and his life! In so prolonging that life and fame? He endangers not only other magicals, like unto himself, but, also? Every child of Luna! I much defeat Dumbledor! WE must defeat Dumbledor!
"But, in working to defeat his dark-soul? I must ask the werewolves and vampyri to do the unbearable! I must ask you to put aside your suspicions, and stay your hands in this war! Nay! Not just stay your hands, but open your homes as a refuge! For? No matter how this war will end? It will leave many as refugees! And, refugees - left defenseless and hurting, with none to call 'friend' - sow the seeds of the next war. I have spoken! It is up to you, to decide your course of action."
"Your words ring true, Usagi-no-Tsuki!" Fenrir Greyback spoke. "What did you have to add, Naru, daughter of Rubeus?"
"I am called Naru, surnamed 'Oosaka', daughter of the half-Giant Rubeus Hagrid, this day!" Naru replied. "But? One-thousand years ago, I was called 'Sikazura'! I was - ookami - a werewolf, and chambermaiden of Princess of Lunari, Tsukino Usagi, daughter of Serenity the 6th! And? Besides being house-servent to Princess? I was used as Spy to watch peace between Wolves and Magicals in Britannia! I would make reports to her majesty, Queen Serenity the 6th! Last report was made - one lunar month before the Kingdom was attacked and distroyed! I died in the attack."
"Did your abilities, your Instincts, Hagrid Naru, formally 'Sikazura'," Fenrir asked Naru, "Ever lead Queen Serenity astray?"
"No." Naru answered.
"Have your instincts about anyone ever lead Usagi astray, Oosaka Naru?" The wolf continued.
"Maybe. I.. do not know?" Naru confessed. "When.. I think of others.. I am more careful! When I think of myself? Not so careful?"
"Was Tsukino Usagi ever in danger of death from your actions?" Fenrir asked.
"No." Naru answered. "I do not think so? I hope not?"
"Good! Now, Naru, daughter of Rubeus, think on this - next question - carefully. Even though you have not, yet, met him? What would your advice to Her Highness be on dealing with Albus Dumbledor?"
"From what I have heard from those who have met him? And, had to deal with him?" Naru stated in a low and slow voice, "Do not trust him as far as you could throw a rock!"
"Good! Good! We have heard from The Moon-Princess and her Agent! They have, unfortunately, mirrored what we have seen and heard from most, but not all, in Brittania! So? What say ye, o Pack? Whose voice shall we listen to? The Pack of Usagi? Or, the Pack of Dumbledor?"
The den of the wolves reverberated with the echo of every men, woman, and children old enough to fight:
"WE HUNT WITH USAGI!"
"AS DO THE VAMPYRI!" A defient shriek came from the treetops!
Usagi scaned the high branches, and spotted Unimo besides an aged mother-vampiress. The rest of the brood were grathered around them.
"The poison that is Dumbeldor shall be remembered only as a bad-dream!" The Mater shouted defiently. "As soon as I confer with she who is the
Princess of the Lunari!"
"I am called Tsukino Usagi!" Usagi saluted the Mater. "Am Hime-no-Tsuki! Hai! Help my Agent down? We shall talk! You are called, dano?"
"I am Brienne, daughter of Olof Vranssen of Durham, Mater of the Vampyri of this forest! And, I am here to help end a certain.. pestulence! Young Umino says he was your butler? In the times of the mists?"
"He was.. and? He is, now! Hai!" Usagi smiled. "I thought it best that my agent have his job and title back when dealing with Kyongshi!"
"It did help his quest, O Hime," The Mater smiled and stared into Usagi before courtseying to her, "besides having your scent upon his person, and not The Dumbledor's."
"Hai!" Usagi smiled. "Friends on Moon? Friends on Earth! Hai!"
Blushing shily because of their nakedness, Naru and Umino reached out and held hands with each other, as well as with Usagi.
"If it would please the Princess of the Moon?" Briennne asked. "May I - borrow? - your butler? temporarily? I shall have him returned safely!"
Naru turned waery eyes to Brienne, then turned to slowly look over Unimo:
"Bite-marks?", Naru noted.
"Tested me," Umino nodded, "tasted me. hai."
"So close to hip?" Naru asked Umino.
"Brienne-Sama." Umino answered, and blushed.
"Hentai for Hentai." Naru sighed, then giggled.
Naru then looked to Usagi.
"Umino-kun is already spoken-for!" Usagi answered the aged-vampiress. "I think?"
"Spoken for Who?" Brienne asked Usagi.
"Naru." Usagi stated.
"Naru, the half-giant's daughter? She who was a werewolf in the Age-before-the-Mists?" Brienne inquired.
"Hai!" Usagi answered. "Butler and Chambermaiden!"
"May I borrow them, both, Your Highness?" The Mater purred.
And, Umino and Naru both looked to Usagi!
"Maybe?" Usagi thought. "Not now, demo! I go to Hogwarts! Still have need of butler and chambermaiden! Hai! Dumbadoro still Headmaster."
"Then, you DO STILL need them!" Brienne smirked.
"Hai!" Usagi nodded, then asked Brienne, Mater of the Vampyri of Hogwarts:
"Does Mater know of Malfoy of Salisbury Plain?"
"The Vampyri know of the fmily," Brienne answred stoically, "and, of Malfoy Manor."
"Good! At next full moon, Death-Eaters will meet at Manor! Greyback Fenrir-Sama will be there! You will be there! Want our forces moving as one! Hai." Usagi spoke. "Dumbadoro will step down from high-chair? Or. be pulled down! His choice!"
