"Marinette woke up as soon as the transfusion was started! She wants to talk to you and Alya, Maria." Said Sabine crying tears of joy still.
Marianne and Alya nodded and headed to Marinette's ICU room.
"Maria... Alya... Is it settled?" Marinette said.
"Yeah girl... I'll take over for you while you recover. Maria has someone in mind to take my place as Double R."
"You need to meet, all of you together before that and discuss things... But first you need to find out the name of the person that did this to me... I saw him briefly before i got hit... It's bad news." Marinette said quietly.
"Who was it?" The other females asked quietly.
"It was a boy our age with black hair and amber eyes... I can't remember his name... But I feel like Adrien will. He was also wearing a pendant similar to Lila's..." Marinette managed to say.
"Are you going to press charges?"
"No, Alya...it's not worth it to incite more violence..." Marinette said with a wheezy sigh.
Alya was left confused.
"Why would reporting him invoke more violence?" Asked Alya.
"Because he isn't the one truly behind it. The accident was just a tiny drop in a wave of craziness that's been happening for a while now." Said Marinette with a hint of pain lacing her words as she raised her bed so she'd be in a reclined sitting position.
"What do you mean?"
"This is all a part of war. Sadly, my enemy has brought my family and innocents into things... You will understand eventually, I promise. But this place isn't exactly safe to have certain discussions in." Said Marinette before smiling cheerfully as the doctor came in.
"I'll go talk to Adrien about the amber eyed kitten. Alya stay with her, i'm sure she could use her best friend to cheer her up right now. I can bet she's feeling like crap right now." Marianne said with a gentle smile.
"I'll leave you two alone for now Little Monkey, but I want some sister time when you get the chance." Marianne said before leaving the room with only a kiss to Marinette's forehead and a hug to Alya leaving a slip of paper into Alya's bag before she was gone.
- Next Day , Hero Hideout -
"So what did she talk with you about?" Adrien asked curious.
Marianne sighed.
"I have a feeling I know who it was from what she said but she said that she feels you might know who he is. Appearantly she caught a look at his appearance before she was hit, and he has black hair and amber eyes. The most worrying thing however was he had on a pendant similar to Lila's. According to what Marinette said, this incident was part of war, and unfortunately innocents and family have been dragged into it." Answered Marianne gently.
"She also said that she won't press charges, because it would only cause more violence." Added Alya.
"I'm still so lost here. Somebody mind telling me what Marinette being hospitalized after a traffic accident has to do with this hero meeting?" Chloe said confused.
"We are actually pretty lost at this too." Said the boys and Nora Cesaire.
"The fact of the matter is, Marinette Dupain-Cheng is Ladybug and with this Accident she can't be Ladybug so she chose Alya to take her place in the mean time and I have chosen Nora here to take Rena Rouge's place while our real LB recovers." Marianne explained sitting on the couch holding her lower body in pain.
Jason joined his wife and rubbed her stomach gently and soothingly.
"Woah." Exclaimed the boys and Nora.
"Now that i think about it is just like Marinette to be a super hero... I'm not bothered by this as much as I thought i would be." Chloe said with a shrug.
"Why are you bent over in pain Marianne?" Asked Nora suddenly calling attention to Marianne and Jason.
"I just had an abortion this morning. Cut me some slack." Said the woman with a groan.
"Back to the business at hand. The guy she described is Arturo Faustino. That is definitely a high profile male fashion model. He's actually my rival. I can't stand him. He's such a darn playboy It's disgusting. He'll go after anyone. But unfortunately, he's too high profile to do anything against without concrete evidence. Even if we managed to put him away and out of our way we still have the bigger issue to deal with of Lila." Adrien spoke up bringing everyone back to the topic at hand.
"Doesn't surprise me that she's behind this. But I never thought that Marinette meant that she was at war with Lila and the accident was by no means accidental." Alya said reeling slightly.
"This is very serious news. Are we sure that they are at war and that Lila is behind this mess?" Said Kim after a few moments still in shock.
"Who is this Lila girl?" Asked Luca and Nora.
"Lila Rossi is this super fake grade a bitch in our class. She hates Marinette so much it puts my past dislike of Marinette to shame. As annoyed as I am to admit. I haven't ever exactly hated Marinette as much as I just never liked her super perky and sickly sweet attitude. No offense intended, but at times it just gets disturbing for me when someone is so sweet even when they are angrier than a colony of bees whose hives been destroyed." Chloe revealed after Kim finished talking.
"Well the fact of the matter remains that Lila declared war on Marinette, this clip from security footage outside of school proves it. Subsquentially at war with Ladybug if memory serves me with all the akumas and trouble as of late that Lila's been causing so we need to find a way to bring her down first." Adrien said with an annoyed sigh hitting a button on a remote.
The tv played security footage from outside of a window of the female restroom revealing Lila declaring war on Marinette.
"Wow. Looks like we should've listened to Marinette when she said Lila was bad news... But the question that's left is how we are going to deal with the threat of Lila and Arturo Faustino now that they have combined powers." Said Nino.
"True, that is a very important question left. But I might have an idea that could work if you hear me out..." Said Chloe after some thought.
"What do you have in mind?" Asked Marianne curious.
"Well..." Began to explain Chloe with a smirk.
As Chloe began to mention her plan, everyone slowly began to smile.
-Later!-
"...and that is my plan." Chloe finished.
"Sounds good to me, but how will she fall for that? Adrien's father thinks of her as a good friend of Adrien. I don't think he would calmly play along with this plan..." Alya said rationally.
"You might be right, if it weren't for the fact that Adrien's father reached out to me earlier today asking for my opinion on Marinette and on Lila. He seemed to be reconsidering having thought of Lila as a good friend choice when we finished talking. So if Adrien talks with him honestly about his opinion on Lila casually then Gabriel Agreste would be more than willing to play along if he even figures out our plan. Especially if we leave him a blatant clue that Lila sent out this guy to shove Marinette into traffic even though she knows that Marinette is Adrien's girlfriend. Which I can easily make sure she knows before executing the plan."
"You are good at this Chloe..." Alya said equally amused and disturbed.
"I've learnt quite a bit from my mother's stories from when she was a teen. She was shockingly a confirmable good person. She would often help people deal with people like Lila." Chloe revealed pretty surprised herself.
"Your family is something else girl." Alya said receiving a smile and high five from Chloe.
"I still don't understand how Lila can be such a bad person..." Spoke up Max, Luca, Kim and Nora.
"She's plotting something and she's been lying all over the place. Hence how Oni-Chan was caused. For now we need to go through with this plan. Before things get out of hand. Lila is obviously working with Hawk Moth, but we can use that to our advantage." Adrien said with a serious look.
-With Gabriel and Natalie-
"We need to do something about Miss Rossi." Gabriel said.
"If I may sir..." Natalie spoke up.
"What is it Natalie?"
"I think this time it might be in our best interest to involve Adrien casually via civilian lives. Lila isn't a hero nor a villain, but rather a civilian who seems to have Miss Marinette and Ladybug as a target. Why not see what Adrien knows and if he has anything in the works to deal with Miss Rossi? He might surprise us." Natalie said.
Gabriel thought quietly for a few moments before smiling evilly.
"That's a brilliant idea Natalie... I believe this calls for organizing Dinner tonight with my son wouldn't you agree?" Said Gabriel standing up and hugging Natalie from behind.
"Is that wise sir?" Natalie answered halfheartedly.
"I think so.. Considering you are more than just my secretary..." Gabriel responded in a whisper into her ear.
Natalie shivered tempted by his actions but nodded with a blush.
"As you wish sir." She said.
-With Lila and Arturo-
"Is it done?" Asked Lila to Arturo.
"Yes, such a shame that had to happen to such an attractive little beauty but as long as you keep your end of the bargain I'll make sure everything continues to go as planned." Arturo said with a smile.
"Don't worry, i'll make sure Adrien suffers during all of this." Lila said.
"Good, I can't exactly forgive him for what happened last year."
"Just go on to the next phase after this round as we agreed loser." Lila said boredly as she grabbed the money Arturo offered her.
Then she slowly stripped as he licked his lips and approached her removing his jacket and dress shirt.
