After eating a snack and drinking some of Marianne's appearantly famous Dupain-Cheng hot chocolate Alya reached a decision. She had decided from observing the interactions between the two married adults to ask some questions pertaining to her current situation in life with feelings.
Particularly those involving a certain DJ.
"Say... Marianne, Jason could I talk with you guys about some things that have been bothering me a bit much in the last three months?" Alya spoke up awkwardly, unsure of how to approach the subject.
The couple shared a glance but smiled at her gently in affirmation and the kwamis did the same seeing as Marianne and Jason had put on their miraculouses again.
"Well three months ago I started noticing certain feelings for Nino, aka Carapace. They are just so strange... I was already attracted him so they aren't difficult per se to manage but..."
Marianne sighed and chuckled in relieved amusement before placing a gentle hand on Alya's shoulder.
"I'm surprised this happened to you before it happened to Marinette and Adrien. But those feelings are natural Alya. They are a both fortunate and unfortunate effect of miraculous holders being soulmates." Marianne said softly and warmly before signaling Jason to leave the girls and the kwamis alone.
"I'll go make us some of my world famous green tea." Said Jason warmly.
"These feelings are normal? What does that mean? What exactly is happening to me?" Questioned Alya worried.
"Calm down Alya. As I said this is perfectly natural. It happened to myself and Jason when we were your age. We just made several awkward mistakes that I am certain you kids can avoid making." Said Marianne with a slight blush.
Longg and Roarr laughed awkwardly in the background.
"First of all, I think you deserve an explanation." Began to say Marianne grabbing her cellphone from her pocket and shooting out a text before putting it away.
"You and Nino discovered your identities early on which probably triggered the effect to happen earlier. You see, when two miraculous holders are destined to be together, aka they are soulmates, the magic of the jewels will react and try and help bring them together, so that their bond grows and so subsequentially their partnership as heroes will as well." Marianne said pausing to let the information sink in.
"So this is the work of the miraculouses?"
"Not exactly. Magic can't mold feelings to it's will if that's what you are thinking. Magic can only amplify feelings that were already there. From what you described earlier, your attraction has been amplified both physically and emotionally. No doubts that his has done the same. That's how it starts. But it will get worse if you kids don't confront the amplification of your feelings and let your love grow freely. The miraculouses will take drastic measures and there is only so much the kwamis can protect you from." Said Marianne gently.
"So you think I should give in?"
"Not exactly. I think you should both give in on the emotional front not the physical. Although that's purely up to you and if you two are extra careful about it you can both give in physically as well if you want to. The important thing is that you don't deny your feelings to the point that the miraculous takes action. If you show steady improvement in your bond the magic will relent immediately and let things play as they should without any drastic measures." Explained Marianne gently.
"So give in but not without being careful if I give in into both aspects?"
"Precisely."
"But something still doesn't make sense.."
"What is it?"
"Well, Nino and I are already a couple we love each other very much. What more do we need to bond aside from physical?" Brought up Alya.
Marianne smiled.
"I think Jason will be useful for this part, Roarr, could you go get him please?"
"Whatever you wish Mari." Said the kwami happily as he left.
Moments later Jason came out with a tray with three cups of tea and a plate with sugar cubes, the pot of tea, and three spoons on it.
"Time for the part I can come in handy with?"
"You bet."
"Listen Alya, I know it may not seem like it but there is a lot of bonding still needed. You two have a very precious young love going on, but i'm betting you two haven't gone on proper dates of your very own..." Began explaining Marianne looking reminiscent as Jason took over grabbing hold of one of her hands with one of his own.
"Kisses that just stop the world for you for several moments... And brief special little moments that just make you feel complete and like you could die tomorrow and have not one single regret..." Jason continued with a goofy smile that made Alya realize how accurate their words were about her and Nino's young love.
"There is still much for you two to experience and given time and a proper chance you can grow to have something truly amazing. Believe me, I still only regret one thing and that is not having revealed our identities to each other when Jason and I were teen superheroes early on... Maybe we would have had longer, perhaps we would have had less time than we already do. It's hard to say. But the past is done, and nothing will change what has already happened. We know that for a fact which is why we encourage you to talk this over with Nino, and take time to yourselves to figure out your own way through everything." Said Marianne gently holding Alya's hands reassuringly Jason joining her and doing the same.
Alya was then approached by Tikki.
"Just relax Alya. I have heard and seen you a lot while I was with Marinette and I have seen you and Nino together. You two are perfect for each other. You just need to explore things yourselves at your own pace. The magic will always aim to work FOR you not against you." Tikki reassured.
Alya smiled and pet Tikki gently.
"I can see why Marinette loves you so much and where she gets so much knowledge from..." Said Alya warmly.
"So have you figured things out Alya?"
"Yeah... Thank you Marianne, Marinette is lucky to have such an awesome sister. Thank you too Tikki, Marinette is lucky to have you too." Alya said smiling and finishing her tea quickly.
"Those were awesome drinks by the way! You should trademark them!" Alya said with a wink as she stood up and smiled at Tikki.
"Just picture Marinette as Ladybug and say the words."
Alya closed her eyes. "Tikki, spots on!" Called Alya.
Suddenly she was an identical Ladybug to the original and was leaving to head back home.
Marianne smiled at the girl's retreating form before turning to her husband with a smile.
"Want to go play Minou?" Suggested Marianne seductively at Jason as she caressed his chest with one hand as she walked past him towards the stairs.
She didn't make it far before Jason picked her up and carried her upstairs and to their beds. Both shed their clothes when they reached their bedroom that night.
